Summary
On the heels of Alastomon's defeat, the Legendary Warriors are forced to return to their regular lives. However, their foe has left behind a parting gift: an unknown human accomplice who is set on bringing both worlds to ruin. The Legendary Warriors are given no time to rest before they must pick up the broken pieces of Alastomon's war and stop a masked enemy from destroying all they have fought to protect. Strange monsters that are neither human, animal, nor Digimon begin to attack both worlds, and the Legendary Warriors rush off to defeat them. All the while, they search the Digital World for any signs of Lucemon's old power and the lost Grand Spirit. With the Digital World teetering on the brink of an all-out war with Earth, they have very little time to see this to its end. The Digital World is experiencing a period of strife. During this time, it has suddenly found itself closely connected to the vibrant lands of Equestria. This sudden union has led to a Digital Gate opening up near the border between the Everfree Forest and Poneyville. From within the Gate, nine Digi-Eggs fall and land near Fluttershy's home. Finding the eggs, the Element Of Kindness takes them to her home to care for them.

Summary
Nearly 50 years ago, the brief incursion of Lucemon - Satan Mode into our reality made humanity irreparably aware of the Digital World. 20 years in our time, and 100s of years in the Digital World, passed until the two worlds would collide again. Since then, humanity and the Digital World have been wrapped in a violent and bloody conflict as Digimon, seemingly unprovoked, launched a campaign to wipe out humanity.
Now, the battles are fought in ruined city streets between randomly bio-emerging Digimon and the scattered militaries or one of the mercenary groups hired by the remaining governments to bolster their defenses. One such mercenary is Kazushi who has recently returned to Tokyo where it all began. However, separated from his comrades, badly wounded, and surrounded, he will find himself having to rely on someone he never would've expected: an injured Digimon named Wizardmon.
After their desperate escape from an old foe plunges them into the Digital World, they are joined in time by a young Leomon who dreams of becoming a hero, an Angemon with a sinister past seeking redemption, and a gentle Gorillamon seeking a place to belong. Can they break the dark chains of fate that bind them and their worlds?
