Dennis knows he's not the best when it comes to self-care. Or, he wasn't for a long time. Living with Trinity has made it possible to care for himself again, but sometimes he forgets that he's not alone. That he can ask for help and he doesn't need to work himself into an early grave.
Or, Dennis has trouble asking for help and is going to die on his hill. Until he realizes he shouldn't.
5+1 things, in which Dennis is sick/injured/etc, and everyone else made it their problem. And the one time Dennis came to them because he was down so bad, but they were happy he finally trusted them before he bit the dust.

Squeezing his eyes shut tightly for a moment, Dennis tries to keep his mind from going where it always goes. To that first day. That first loss.
He never can stop the drift.
For just a moment, he is an intern performing CPR on Bennet Milton. Just a moment.
Opening his eyes, Dennis finds himself back in the present, and the patient is coding. Another push of epi. It's not working.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Dennis feels the failure churning within him even before Robby calls it. He's sweating and his arms feel as though they might give out. If he could, he would continue through the exhaustion. He would ignore the call.
He would once again be that intern who wouldn't stop and would spend far too long trying to breathe life into a body that had already met it's creator.

Two men are brought in after a fall at a construction sight, both with unknown identities. Dennis knows one of them. He's a man he hasn't seen in well over a decade and has a scar that he knows the story of all too well.

Dennis stills at that, giving him that same, blank look from before. Robby wants to shut his eyes. He never wants to see it again.
He tilts his head. “Accident?”
“You were—” Robby says, and doesn’t miss the desperation in his own voice. “I just told you. You were in an accident. Don’t you remember?”After an argument about Robby’s resignation from the Pitt, Dennis gets into a car crash that makes him unable to retain short-term memories. Including the fight they just had, and Robby’s imminent departure. It’s up to Robby to nurse him back to health, and choose which truth to tell him.

Summary
“Come here, kid.” One of Robby’s hands catches Dennis’s and lands against his sternum, trapping his arm against his chest, while the other stays in his hair, fingers winding into damp curls. Dennis’s attention is everywhere and panicked. He catches a flash of Perlah readying the needle and a desperate sound punches out of him.
“Nope, don’t look at that,” Robby says, using the hand in his hair to force his head back, angling his vision away from the commotion and up towards him. Dennis’s eyes lock onto his, pupils blown wide. “Look at me. Yep, good. I’m right here. You’re doing so good, honey. Just keep those eyes on me.”
The IV tourniquet snaps into place and panic flashes anew in Dennis’s face. ”Robby—”
“I know. It’s just Dana and Perlah. We’re just pushing some fluids, no more drugs. You’re safe.” Out of the corner of his eye, Robby can see Perlah speeding through what has to be the fastest IV placement of her career, Dana keeping her grip on Dennis’s hand to stop him from jerking away. Dana shoots him a glance of warning and Robby tightens his hold. “Okay, quick poke now. Still just us. Deep breath, Dennis. I've got you."

Summary
He drops his almost finished cigarette onto the wet ground and gasps. The man's hands are around his throat before he can blink.
“Doesn't look like you're going home to me.” The stranger says and Dennis gasps again as the pressure increases and his arms fly up to claw at the fingers around his neck.
“Easy, easy, baby.” The creep laughs, releasing his hold slightly and Dennis wishes he was a little less drunk so he could fight him off better. He feels useless.
He feels like he's just taking it.
Maybe… Maybe he is? Because the man looks like–
The stranger interrupts his thoughts, “Or you can fight back, if you really want.” He leans in closer, breath ghosting over Dennis’ ear. “I love a good fighter.”

Or, Dennis is assaulted outside a bar (by a man that looks a little too similar to Robby). He now has to figure out how to make it through his day shift with hopefully not too many questions about his poorly-concealed injuries (and maybe also acting normal around Robby. It can't be too hard, can it?).
