Summary
"Beard," says Trent. "Forgive me if this comes across as a stupid plan, but is there not perhaps someone you could go out to dinner with, completely platonically mind you, and I dunno… practice a first date? Someone who won't mind giving you advice and feedback on how it's going?"
"Hey, Trent, now that's an excellent idea," says Ted, pointing at him excitedly. "Heck, Coach, if that's something you're open to, I'd be more than happy to be your practice date. How about it?"
Beard glances around the room like he's looking for someone to tell him it's a bad idea. Higgins gives a thumbs up, Trent takes a sip of tea, Roy shrugs his shoulders a fraction of an inch, Ted waggles his eyebrows at him.
"Sure," he says.

Original fiction worth the time. Anyone interested in classical music and the Edwardian Era should read it. Actually, anyone not interested in those things should read it. Everyone should read it.

Summary
"I'm a little confused." Danny admits.
Nicholas nods. That's his fault, probably. “This isn’t—it's not a language I know how to speak.”
Danny gives him a funny look. “It isn’t Chinese, is it, Nicholas, you're just…a little worked up, is all."
“Mandarin.” Nicholas corrects, staring at a spot above Danny’s shoulder. "And I just…I'd like for you to tell me how you feel, because I don't know how to…" Nicholas gestures between them, taking another step forward but not daring to cross the rest of the distance, to speak the language that he's never been able to.

A great character study of an emotionally stunted man.

Summary
— — —
When the Inquisition disbands, Cullen disappears without a trace. After he is found begging in the streets of Val Chevin, his long-time friend and former lover, Mira, comes to find and bring him home. As she tries to help him quit lyrium for good, they discuss their past and finally say all the things between them previously left unsaid.
This is a story of post-Inquisition conversations between Cullen and Amira Trevelyan, a mage from the Kirkwall Circle. Their recollections span across DA2 and DA:I, and follow a world state in which Cullen was told to go back on lyrium during Inquisition. Canon friendly, dialogue heavy, character exploration and feels.
