Summary
Staring up at the dreary ceiling of his childhood bedroom, Tsunehiro taps his forefinger and thumb together, over and over and over. It feels fuzzy and distant. For a few days, he had tremors so bad he could barely lift a spoon to his mouth. Now his hands are still but faraway. Dying was easier than this. Then, he didn’t have to take pills that make him dream about the end of the world.
But he liked dreaming about Tsutsujimori. In Tsunehiro’s dream, Tsutsujimori carried him on his back because Tsunehiro kept getting stitches in his side from running. His hair smelled like sweat.
Tsutsujimori visits Tsunehiro post-canon.

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Roy never thought he would see another pair of golden eyes in his life.
The first thing Roy set his gaze on had not been the huge suit of armour, nor the little boy’s double amputation or the wheelchair, and not even the soulless look in his eyes. It had been the colour of them.
It felt like he’d lost the ability to breathe. Seeing that kid made him choke on his tongue, cutting off oxygen to his lungs as if he’d just been punched in the gut. He might as well have, from how fast his heart dropped.
