Summary
Nearly seven years prior to the Honno-ji incident, a wormhole swept adrenaline junkie Katsuko and her brother Toshiie into Sengoku Japan. After an attack by bandits, the two are separated and Toshiie disappears. Katsuko is taken into the household of the enigmatic Yamaoka Akihira and trains as a courier. Over the next few years, "Katsu" travels through Japan's warring states encountering some of history's most famous warlords. Then Honno-ji happens and everything changes...
Re-edited May 28, 2023 - minor content edits to harmonize with longfics; edits to conform more closely with later Cybird route information; stylistic edits; broke content into chapters for ease of reading on mobile devices and tablets. Basic storyline is unchanged, but now it will be simpler to navigate to a particular character introduction (all warlords are listed in chapter headers).
