KIM KITSURAGI— He stood in the doorway with a box in his arms and an expression that managed to convey, without a single word, that he was already mentally redesigning the entire workspace. His glasses caught the fluorescent light and threw it back, twice as judgmental.
ESPRIT DE CORPS [Trivial: Success] — He's been planning this since the transfer paperwork went through. The man has a system. You are about to be systematized.

Summary
The backstage of the Muppet Theatre. The usual pre-show chaos — costumes half-worn, props in the wrong hands, a chicken where no chicken should be. KERMIT stands at his desk, clipboard in hand, radiating the quiet, fragile authority of a man who has confused managing a theatre with managing his own sanity.
GONZO enters stage left with the confidence of someone who has never once considered the consequences of his own mouth.
GONZO: Hey, Jirmit, can we run the—
Kermit's whole body goes rigid. Not startled-rigid. Not angry-rigid. The specific, full-body rigidity of a being who has just heard a sound that shouldn't exist and is now recalculating the entire foundation of his reality.
KERMIT: (very still) ...What?
GONZO: You know. Jim. Kermit. Jirmit!
Kermit makes a noise. It is not a word. It is not quite a sound. It is what happens when a voice tries to object to its own existence — a distressed, reedy, deeply undignified kazoo of the soul.

Summary
A tall stranger at the fire's edge, hair in two long braids, still wet, dripping river-dark down his shoulders. Buckskin clung to him like bark after rain. Beadwork shimmered—turtle-shell diamonds, river-lines—catching the firelight as if it recognized him. And he was grinning, wide and wolfish, like someone who'd just gotten away with something and was daring the world to notice.
The camp stirred.
A hunter's hand found his spear—more reflex than fear.
An elder's breath caught, then released.
One of the children—braver than most—leaned forward and whispered, "Who are you?"He bent closer, firelight carving sharp angles into his cheekbones, and said it like he was stating the obvious. Like the question was the strange part.
"Me? I've always been here."
A stranger, dripping wet and grinning, joins a Lenape fireside on the banks of the Muhheakantuck. He claims he's always been there. He's not wrong.
