The sound of joy has begun to settle down into a tense silence, some muttering and asking about what was going on.
“Be careful with his head,” Hayes is saying, voice thick with something. It is disturbing to see him so serious. Bood nods, and starts moving a lump out of the seat.
Ilya raises an eyebrow, confused. “Who is passed out in my seat?”
That is when Ilya finally sees what Bood and Hayes are crowding over. It is himself, his own body, passed out and slumped against the seat in the row in front of him. There is a worrying amount of blood coming out of his nose and a cut by the back of his head. Head wounds are terribly dramatic, but Ilya feels worried about this one. Mainly because he’s floating around like a ghost.
ilya gets hit on the head during the emergency landing in Tampa and thus begins his week-long stint as a ghost. whatever bad thing that can happen, the proceeds to do so. it's definitely not fun for ilya, and definitely not fun for shane either.

“Hello, little kitty.” Ilya scooped the cat back up into his arms. The cat tensed for just a minute and then relaxed against Ilya’s bicep and snuggled in. Shane knew exactly how it felt, to be so content in Ilya’s arms. And some part of him was maybe a tiny bit jealous that it wasn’t him snuggled up with his husband right now. Instead, a recently rescued trash cat had usurped his spot.
“Would you like to be called Ivan?”
The cat meowed in agreement.
Ilya meowed back.
Shane was monumentally screwed.
Or Shane and Ilya adopt a cat. Hijinks, sex, and feelings ensue. (Not with the cat. They're not perverts, I promise.)

“That’s sale tax. And no, depending on where you buy food,” All Might says. He turns blue. “Hawks—surely you’ve done your taxes. The Commission won’t let you practice if you’re not in compliance.”
Hawks makes another face. “Where does one…file taxes?”

Dabi slurps noodles once more.
“Did you…um,” Fuyumi adds next, “ever run into each other?”
“I tried to kill him,” Dabi says next. “I burned his wings.”
There’s a squeak. Natsuo’s and Fuyumi’s eyes widen.
“Don’t worry,” Hawks reassures. “I lived.”
“Stubborn bastard,” Dabi grumbles almost immediately. He lifts the bowl to sip broth. “I threw him out a window.”
“I lived then, too,” Hawks reassures before they can have another scandalized gasp. “Don’t worry. It’s how he shows his affection.”

Post-war, Todoroki Touya is pardoned from his crimes, while Hawks gains a new title: the Dabi Whisperer.

Summary
Dazai takes a steadying breath and steels himself before sliding to his knees on the carpeted floor. It’s not as graceful as he’d like it to be, what with his injured leg, but he manages to catch himself without using his hands or hurting his knees, so he counts it as a win. When he peers up at Chuuya through his bangs, the wideness of Chuuya’s eyes also registers as a victory.
“I know Chuuya is still angry,” Dazai murmurs, so Chuuya has to look closely at his lips to make out the words. “He may take it out on my body, if he likes.”
or, Dazai is (his version of) touch-starved after weeks stuck in his bubble in Meursault, so he ~convinces Chuuya to help him with his problem. He's not expecting all the revelations that come with it.

Wrung me out and left a hole inside, I'll have to sit with it and think clearly later. Wonderful storytelling, but truly just excellent banter. Favourite scene has to be the banter at the end of chapter 12.
“Cheer up. It’s my turn with the curse now,” John said. “It’s year four now and I’m okay, aren’t I?”
That did make Paul laugh. “No comment.”
John took his hand away and stood up. “The Americans say, ‘Plead the fifth.’”
“What’s that mean?”
“Summat to do with their Constitution or some shite,” said John. He cocked his chin. “C’mon, let’s get you to your pianny.”
