Summary
We cut to a man sitting down in the interview chair. He’s sporting a well groomed moustache and he’s wearing a red shirt with a white greyhound stitched on the left pocket. He gets handed a clapperboard.
“Okay, how do you want me to do it?” he asks someone behind the camera as he settles comfortably in the chair.
“Just be yourself.” they answer.
He lifts the clapperboard up with a bright smile.
“Howdy! I’m Ted Lasso, and I’m the Team Principal of the Richmond Racing F1 Team for the 2023 season.”

“Admiring you work?” she asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah,” he breathes out. Then, a sparkle lights up in his eyes, and taking her hand, he guides her to the sink. He settles behind her, both facing the slightly fogged mirror. He leans forward, swiping his hand across the surface to clean it, but before leaning back, he stops to whisper in her ear. “And I want you to watch it too.”

She still hadn’t told him exactly why Higgins had taken over for the week, or that it happened every year. September 13th had never been an easy day for her, not since she was sixteen, but this time it felt different. Gloomier than a normal day, for sure, but lighter than in the past years.
She didn’t know if it was Ted’s presence, or if time had finally caught up with her, allowing her to put all… that behind her, but she felt like she could finally breathe easily for the first time.

Now, five days in, he can’t decide if it has been one of his best ideas or one of the worst. Because the sight of Rebecca on a sunbed, with the faint hint of tan lines on her drying skin, is a dream come true and pure torture at the same time.
