Vi Lane and Caitlyn Kiramman had been best friends ever since the eighth grade.
After saving the girl from a group of bullies, Vi doesn't expect for the tall and awkward but sweet and pretty Caitlyn to suddenly start following her around. They become friends instantly after that, seeing as Caitlyn was impossible to ignore. And over the years, their budding friendship turned into a close bond that couldn't be shaken or broken.
Fast forward to their third year in college, the young women continued to live their very different lives together. They were attending the best university in Piltover as aspiring law students with their group of friends and different partners. While many teased and joked that they should've been a couple, they never thought to cross that path before.

She promised herself she’d at least make the effort to expand her social circle before burying herself under the ever-growing pile of academia. Which meant making friends, going out, having fun, and hopefully - gods if she were fortunate - some sex, if not a full-blown romance. Simply put she refused to come out the other side of this a virgin.

How some nights Vi falls into Caitlyn's bed and doesn't leave until sunrise, their limbs pressed so tightly together it's hard to tell when one starts and the other stops.
It's just casual, and Vi is fine with it. Until she isn't.
