"Alhaitham?!" Kaveh's voice squealed hearing the man on the other side of the door. "I thought you were going to be in Port Ormos all weekend."
"Disappointed?" Alhaitham snorted. "It was a waste of time. Only needed a few hours to realize it was just a plot to attract eager young scholars and drain them of all their resources."
Fuck, fuck, fuck. What was he supposed to do? Kaveh closed his eyes and thumped his head on the wall. The door handle jiggled and his heart went into overdrive.
Kaveh's secret is discovered. Instead of being disgusted like he expects, Alhaitham is curious and gentle.

The touch was static, even though it was the softest thing. They both sharply inhaled, lightning on their lips, but it got swallowed by the roaring applause. Neither Scaramouche nor Sethos joined the crowd, keeping their fingers linked.
