Chapter Text
Once the cloud got to the where the land split from sweet and green, to dark and that stupid blue.
(Don't get me wrong I love the color blue but whenever it's associated with the Lady Bitch Demon then it can go suck my imaginary- yk what I'm not gonna finish that sentence :D)
(I have a love and hate relationship with the LBD alright?!)
Monkey King hopped off the cloud and motion for Red Son and Porty Mk to join him on the ground.
"Why are we stopping here?" Red Son questioned as Monkey King made the cloud disappear.
"Because it would be easier to sneak up on her if we don't shoot straight in. Were not even in her space and I can feel her wretched aura suffocating this place. She probably has goons waiting for us."
Red Son nodded at the explanation, and took a deep breath. Porty Mk wasn't paying to any of them, as he felt his mind start to cloud. He tried to shake the feeling off, but his mind gradually got foggier and foggier, until he heard someone call his name.
"Porty Mk?" Red Son asked, concern in his voice and eyes.
"Hm?" He hummed in response.
"You coming? You're our ticket to Mk."
"Oh, right, yeah. Yeah, I'm coming."
Red Son nodded his head, but Monkey King just stared.
"Alright!" Red Son exclaimed, getting a 'shhhhh' from Monkey King. He put up his hands as an apology. He lowered his voice.
"Let's go save the Noodle Boy!"
"Huh, haven't heard that nickname in a bit."
"Shut it sage."
Red Son took another deep breath, as a feeling of dread started to creep in, and stepped into the LBD's territory.
He instantly got on guard, expecting to feel some type of pain, or for something to try and grab him, but he relaxed as nothing happened.
"Huh, I was really expecting something to just come out and grab meeEEEEE!" Red Son screamed as he got suddenly got launched forward into the air.
"RED SON/MY TIME BOMB!" Both Monkey King and Porty Mk shouted at the same time (guess who said what).
The Monkey King glared at Porty Mk for a second, clearly hearing the nickname he just called out for Red Son, before grabbing Porty Mk's shirt and running (more like zooming) to where Red Son was currently losing altitude.
Red Son basically glued his mouth shut trying to force himself not to scream while he was falling, as he tried to use his fire powers to try and slow down his decent. Seeing as that wasn't working, he braced for impact as the ground approached him fast.
He didn't feel himself land on the ground, instead he felt himself land in someone's arms. Someone's fuzzy arms. He opened his eyes to see that he was being held bridal style by The Monkey King.
"Are you ok?! Not hurt or anything?!" He asked as he gently put the demon down and examined him.
"I'm fine Monkey King." He said with clear annoyance in his voice as he swatted The Monkey King's hands away.
"Just a little shocked that's all."
The Monkey King's eyes glowed golden with concern, but soon those eyes took attention to something behind Red Son.
Red Son looked at The Monkey King confused before turning around, and his eyes widened at the sight.
It... it was his parents' home, bathed in haunting blue light and a very thick aura.
Red Son couldn't help but let out a shaky breath at the sight. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see that it was Monkey King's hand.
Red Son groaned and basically threw the hand off his shoulder. "Geez Monkey King! Do you do that to Mk all the time?!"
"I actually do. I need to make sure my children are ok."
...
"I'm sorry, what?!" Red Son exclaimed.
"What what." The Monkey King responded, shrugging his shoulders.
"Your children?"
"Who's children."
"Your children!"
"My children?!"
"Yes!"
"I have children!?"
"That what you just said!"
"I did?"
"YES! You just called me and Mk your... you know what never mind." Red Son mumbled, not wanting to start something.
Monkey King, shrugging off the conversation they just had, and stated "Alright, I have good news and bad news."
"K, good news first please."
"Ok, so good news is that now that were here, and we have our ticke..." he held out the 'e' as he looked around for Porty Mk, and found him leaning on a tree not so far away.
"eet, yup, our ticket to Mk, so we are one step closer to actually recusing Mk!"
Red Son nodded. "And the bad news?"
"The bad news is that since we all basically screamed-"
"It wasn't my fucking fault I got launched!"
"...language. And I never said it was, I said we all screamed. But since we all screamed, I'm pretty sure my "evil twin" know that we are here now, along with the LBD, so this rescue has gotten at least 4 times harder."
Red Son sighed as he wasn't even surprised. But now that he was here, his body was itching to find Mk.
He turned to where The Monkey King looked earlier and found Porty Mk leaning on a tree, but his eyes were closed and he was gripping his head.
"Porty Mk?" He called, catching the attention of The Monkey King.
He quickly walked up to him and put his hands over Porty Mk's. Monkey King only glared at the 2 (mostly Porty Mk) but Red Son just ignored him.
"What's wrong." He asked, getting Porty Mk to open his eyes and look at him.
"...Does anyone else feel pressure on their head? Or should I say... IN their head?"
Red Son glanced at Monkey King, but the Monkey shook his head no. He turned back to Porty Mk.
"A little, why? Is that what's happening to you right now?" He felt like he asked the stupidest question in the world. Of course that's what's happening to him! Why else would he ask?
"Yeah... but my vision. My vision, it started at The Monkey King's lair but my vision has been flashing... blue."
As soon as the words left Porty Mk's mouth, both Red Son and Monkey King went wide-eyed. They both turned to each other and knew that they were thinking the same exact thought.
Red Son has seen the blue eyes of his mother, and The Monkey King has had his own fair share of dealing with the LBD and her stupid power.
But the fact that Mk's clone was having their vision flash blue, it could only mean one thing.
"Oh no..." Red Son whispered. "Oh no indeed." The Monkey King whispered back.
"We need to hurry and find Mk. Porty Mk, come on!" He tugged on Porty Mk's jacket.
"Huh?"
"You have to lead me to Mk, and fast!"
"Oh-oh yeah! Right."
As Porty Mk started to get dragged in front by Red Son, he couldn't help but ask "Why do we need to hurry exactly?"
The Monkey King sighed as he put both his hands on his hips.
"We need to hurry because it seems like the Lady Bone Bitch planned to try and take over Mk's mind, like she did with basically everyone else except us and Mk's gang." He started.
"And it seems like Mk is fighting it, but he won't be able to fight it for long, that's why we need to hurry." Red Son finished, urging Porty Mk to move.
The 2 boys started creeping towards the palace, until they heard a snap from behind.
"Hey guys, one more thing." The Monkey King addressed as the boys turned around to him.
"Now that my friend knows your here, he's definitely going to be listening for you. So try not to make any noise, just let Porty Mk lead you to where Mk is."
"Well how in the hell would he be able to hear us coming?" Red Son questioned, lowing his voice.
"Well... he kinda has really good hearing because of his six ears-"
"HE HAS SIX EARS?!" Red Son whisper-screamed.
"Yes. His full name is The six-eared Macaque."
Red Son threw up his hands in defense. "Well I'm sorry no one freaking gave that important information."
"Can yall just go?! Mk is running out of time! Remember, stay quiet, but be quick."
Both Red Son and Porty Mk nodded their heads, and resumed their creeping.
"If you get into any trouble, just scream! Or something."
Red Son gave Monkey King a thumbs up as he followed Porty Mk.
Porty Mk silently lead Red Son along the lines of the palace.
Porty Mk seemed to know where he was going, but Red Son couldn't help but want to ask if he really did.
Of course, hearing the news that the emo monkey he saw earlier has 6 freaking ears, he held those questions in.
While Porty Mk led Red Son around the back, occasionally hiding behind bushes or in random rooms, Red Son couldn't help but stare at what used to be his house. No... his home.
His knew how to navigate through his home as if he lived there for 100's of years (I mean technically he has I think-) but know... it looked almost unrecognizable.
Red Son narrowed his eyes at the building. 'Don't worry, I'll save you from this wretched demon's grasp' he thought to himself, as if the building was alive and could read his thoughts.
Red Son snapped out of his train of thought when he bumped into Porty Mk, who suddenly stopped walking. Porty Mk caught himself on a wall and Red Son leaned onto Porty Mk for support.
Red Son pushed himself off of Porty Mk and waved his hands side to side in front of him, saying 'what the heck dude!'
Porty Mk raised both his hands up in apologies, then turned to look past the wall in front of him.
Suddenly, he stopped moving.
Porty Mk didn't seem to move one tiny muscle, he didn't seem to be breathing either.
Worried and confused, Red Son slowly moved towards the frozen clone, reaching his hand out.
As Red Son was about to pat Porty Mk's shoulder, (since he couldn't call his name because of a certain Monkey), but stopped as the clone's arms just dropped limply to his sides.
Red Son didn't move, getting even more confused, and narrowed his eyes in suspision.
After about 30 seconds of the 2 boys standing still, Red Son finally broke and tapped Porty Mk on the shoulder.
When he didn't get a response, he tapped again, and again.
On the 4th try, Porty Mk finally moved, slowly turning his head towards Red Son, creeping him out a little.
Red Son took a step back, and he felt a slight wind on his neck. He couldn't see Porty Mk's eyes through his shades like he used too. Either his eyes were closed, or they just... weren't there at all. Which was physically impossible in this situation, so he shook that thought out of his mind.
The sound of a branch snapping caught the attention of the 2 boys, and Porty Mk basically snapped his head towards the sound.
Red Son started to walk towards it, but Porty Mk put up one finger, telling him to 'wait'.
Red Son stopped walking as Porty Mk peaked around the wall, then turned back to Red Son.
Porty Mk pointed at Red Son, then at the ground, then at himself, then behind him. "You, stay here. Me, go check it out."
Red Son rolled his eyes and resisted the urge to groan as he leaned against the wall.
Porty Mk gave him a thumbs up, then disappeared behind the wall.
The Monkey King sat down by a tree and waited. He was mostly waiting to hear either a scream of fear or joy either from Red Son or Porty Mk (mostly Red Son). He was rolling his staff back and forth across his outstretched legs out of boredom, trying not to be a pessimist in this situation.
(In case you don't know what "pessimist" means:
'A person who tends to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen'
Fancy words)
Every part of him was basically screaming at him to just rush in there, but he didn't listen (for once) because he knew it would jeopardize his and Red Son's safety. (Also Porty Mk's I guess). Like he said earlier, his old friend would find him in 2 seconds flat if he went in there, and he wasn't kidding about that.
He wanted to believe that Porty Mk actually knew where Mk was, but he couldn't help but be suspicious. Mk's clones were WAY different than his, Mk's clones actually had different personalities, as if they were their own person. So he didn't really understand how the clone could find him exactly.
He was knocked out of his train of thought as he heard the sound of a fruit being bitten into. He instantly got up off the ground, gripped his staff tightly and planted his feet so that he was ready to dodge in any direction.
The biting sound came again, and Swk turned his head towards the sound. He saw a figure standing behind one of the trees, but he was unable to make out any features.
"Who are you." He called out to the figure and got no response. He cautiously took a step forward, then another, pointing his staff out in front of him.
Wukong could see the figure stop as he approached, and he narrowed his eyes.
Wukong was expecting the figure to either run, magically disappear, or reveal themselves; but what he wasn't expecting was for the figure to show him the fruit they were eating.
It was a Mango.
Wukong tilted his head, confused as to why the figure would show him this.
'A Mango?' He thought to himself. 'Mangos don't grow here though, so why would they show me... wait."
It clicked in his head.
He straightened his posture and scoffed, tightening his grip on his staff.
"Hello there... old friend."
He heard a low chuckle come from the figure as he took another bite of the Mango and sank into the floor.
Wukong growled as he took a few steps back and lowered his stance, eyes darting from left to right.
"What, too scared to say my name? Too scared to say the name of the one you killed."
Wukong scoffed as he put on a smile, but inside it felt like his heart was getting tugged out of his chest.
"You're trying to gaslight me~, but it's not gonna work~"
"Gaslight? You think I'd go that far?"
"I honestly do."
"Hm, it hurts me to think you think of me that way. Not as bad as when you left me high and dry, but it still hurts."
His voice was coming from all directions, so Wukong couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was coming from.
"Come on, stop being chicken and show yourself! Or- unless your too scared to go up against your killer? I won't hesitate to kill you again if I have too."
Wukong obviously didn't mean that last part, as his heart got tugged on some more as soon as the words left his mouth, but Macaque seemed to take it seriously.
He laughed, but that laugh held anger and pain in it.
"Oooo, ouch, hitting me with the 'chicken' card are we now? We'll let me tell you something Sun Wukong, Great Sage Equal To Heaven."
Wukong froze as Macaque basically spat out his name.
"You hurt me, killed me even, and I plan to see you suffer."
Wukong was taken back by his tone. The air around him suddenly grew colder, sending those familiar chills down his body.
"Now obviously I can't kill you, sadly, cause your immortal. But that doesn't mean you can't get tortured."
That last word was solid and sounded like it was coming from behind him. He turned and laid his eyes apon the owner of the voice.
Wukong's eyes went wide, whilst his counterpart's eyes were shooting blue daggers into Wukong.
"The LBD has something planned for you, and oh boy am I going to enjoy it."
Wukong showed no fear with his face, but his tail gave him away.
"You're not going to get to enjoy anything Macaque. And tell miss Lady Bitch Demon that her stupid destiny speech is getting annoying."
Wukong was surprised with his words, and immediately wanted to take them back when Macaque gave him that smile he always had before he beat someone out of pure rage.
Macaque's smile grew wider as he looked down at the ground and slowly shook his head. Wukong took a step back, his flight or fight response telling him to 'RUN'.
"Wukong, bud. Hehe... please don't take after me. You're getting a little too bold right now."
Wukong took another step back, and Macaque's smile instantly disappeared.
Taking more steps back, Wukong kept his eye on his counterpart, who seemed to be frozen in place.
Macaque's eye, fingers, and tail all constantly twitched, while the dagger look kept going and coming back.
Wukong was about to just book it, but suddenly Macaque's glowing blue eyes lost their glow, and he stopped twitching.
Wukong stopped taking steps and tilted his head. He knew this was probably gonna bite him in the ass in a few seconds, but he couldn't help it.
Macaque's eyes weren't locked onto him anymore. Well they were looking straight at him, but it was like... he wasn't there.
Wukong was about to call out his name, when Macaque's eyes suddenly focused again, but this time, the daggers were shaper than the sharpest knife in the world.
Wukong was caught off guard when Macaque suddenly lunged forward and knocked both of them into a nearby tree, causing him to drop his staff.
Wukong didn't even have time to think before he was lifted off the ground and slammed into another tree, Macaque gripping his neck tightly.
Macaque's eyes were now glowing a bright blue, and when he spoke it didn't sound like him anymore, it sounded like a certain demon we all knew to well.
"Seems like you need to learn what not to say to someone who want to torture you!"
Wukong lifted his legs and gut-kicked Macaque, sending him flying into the other set of trees across from them.
"And it seems like you need to learn how to not be so selfish!"
Macaque's head practically snapped Wukong's way, making him flinch. His eyes were big and his smile was wide, making him look like a psychopath.
"OH HO HO! Look who's calling who selfish?"
Wukong ignored this comment, knowing it was coming from the LBD and not Macaque, and bent down to pick up his staff.
Before he got to pick up his staff, a figure jumped onto his back and started clawing at his hair.
The Monkey King screamed as he tried to pry the figure off of him, but failed. Suddenly, the figure took out a pair of headphones, (from where? Idfk), and slammed them over Wukong's ears.
The Monkey King flung the figure off his back to where Macaque was just watching, and instantly shot his hands to the headphones, trying to get them off. But to his surprise, they wouldn't budge. It was like if they were glued onto his head for something.
After struggling for a couple seconds, he realized that he couldn't hear anything anymore.
He furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Hello?" He called out, but didn't hear his voice. He snapped his fingers next to his ears, nothing. He clapped next to his ears, nothing.
"Did I just go deaf?!" He shouted in confusion, earning a muffled laugh from Macaque. (Of course, Wukong couldn't hear it).
He was too busy having a crisis to register that both the figure and Macaque were coming closer to him.
Once he realized, he immediately started backing away.
Macaque was walking straight towards him, while the figure was walking towards... his staff.
Wukong scoffed, not being too worried about it.
'They won't be able to pick it up' he thought to himself. 'There's no way they would be able to-' He was cut off when the mysterious figure picked up the staff with ease.
Wukong stopped in his tracks, and so did Macaque.
Wukong was staring at the figure in disbelief, causing Macaque (Or should I just say the LBD) to laugh at how stupid he looked.
Macaque backed up to stand next to the figure, and smirked at Wukong.
The figure wasn't holding any magical glove that he could see, so he was really confused on how they could pick up the staff.
The only other person who could pick up the staff other than him was...
Oh fuck.
It clicked in his head.
Macaque must have seen the look of realization on Wukong's face, cause his smile got wider and he started nodding his head.
Macaque nodded his head yes, whilst Wukong shook his head no.
"Oh no..."
"Oh YES!"
Thus proving his theory further, the figure twirled the staff in a way only one other person other than Monkey King would.
The figure looked up at Wukong, his eyes glowing a bright blue, making The Monkey King's heart drop.
"Kid..."
Macaque sighed in content at Wukong's horror, but unfortunately it would have to be put on pause, for the next part of the LBD's plan.
"Well, I wish I could look at this face of your for longer." He said, his voice distorted but at least sounding like him again, (again, Wukong wouldn't know). "But you have to go meet up with a friend. I'll see you in like a couple minutes. I'll be seeing this face again as well."
Macaque made a portal under Wukong, and Wukong didn't notice until he felt himself start to sink into the ground. He looked under him and screamed as he fell though the portal, the last thing he sees being those wretched blue eyes of his old friend, and his successor.
And btw for the rest of this part I just totally forgot about the headphones he put on Wukong, so just forget about them-
I had another plan with them but worked on this another day and forgot it so ya- I don't feel like re-writing rn so just forget about the headphones.
I'll write a separate thing with the plan I had for the headphones but not now.
Anyways-
While all
that
was happening:
Red Son leaned against the wall, playing with a little flame in his hand. It's been about 8 minutes since Porty Mk went to peak behind the wall, and he hasn't come back yet.
Red was starting to get worried, so he decided to go do something.
He pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on and walked over to where Porty Mk disappeared.
He peaked behind the wall, and when he saw that the coast was clear, he kept moving forward.
Porty Mk was nowhere to be seen, and that was making Red Son worried. Not worried for Porty Mk's safety really (cause he's a clone, Mk can just revive him technically), but worried about what this meant for the actual Mk.
If his clone disappeared, then that must mean that something happened to the real Mk, and that thought made his heart clench a little.
He hated that the thought of Mk getting harmed in any way possible by that stupid demon made his heart clench, mostly because it was a new feeling.
He looked around for the clone, but realized it was pointless.
He was about to head forward when he heard a scream. A scream that sounded a lot like The Monkey King.
He turned his head towards the scream as it came from where The Monkey king sent him and Porty Mk off, but he didn't move.
Did he want to find Mk, the one who had to limit his powers to learning to control them better and isn't immortal. Or did he want to help The Monkey King, the great sage equal to heaven, who's lived for thousands of years and has a lot of experience, and has immortality.
It didn't take long for him to decide.
'Monkey King can take care of himself' he thought as he turned around and resumed his search for Mk.
Right?
He found this open area and walked to the middle of it, taking in all the space.
'I'm being stupid' he thought. 'The LBD wouldn't just keep Mk in the open,' he looked to haunted looking blue palace, 'she's probably keeping him in there.'
Red Son walked up to the building and looked around, looking for a opening. He felt the LBD's aura all around the place, so he thought that she probably blocked off all the entrances.
A wind blew past Red, putting him on guard. He then heard another scream from the Monkey King, but it got cut off.
'Ok, so maybe the Monkey King can't take care of himself' he thought as he started to run over to where he heard the scream.
A blue partol opened up next to him, stopping his in his tracks, and he backed away quickly, lighting his hand on fire.
He was expecting that evil twin to appear through the portal, but it was actually the other Monkey who fell through.
He landed face first on the ground and groaned.
Red Son relaxed and extinguished his hand.
The Monkey King lifted his head and blinked a couple of times, before realizing that Red Son was standing above him.
"OH! Red Son! Perfect."
Monkey King scrambled off the floor, only to stumble as he got up to quickly. Red Son took a step to help him but he put up one finger up, shaking his head.
Once his head stopped spinning, he sighed heavily as he scratched the back of his head.
"Um, ok- so... Bad news."
Red Son furrowed his eyebrows, and stared at The Monkey King in thought.
"Bad news? What could you possibly mean... Wait-" Red Son's eyes went wide.
"Don't tell me he's-"
"NO!" The Monkey King claimed, putting his hands up in front of him to calm down the fast-heating demon.
"He's not dead I promise you. Well... Not physically dead."
Monkey King felt the heat rise around him as Red Son basically shoot into his soul with his stare as he crossed his arms.
"What do you mean by that..." he asked, and Monkey King slightly groaned.
"Well... Uh. Mk is... Crap. Let's just say he's... Not acting like himself."
Red Son brain seemed to lag, but after a few second his eyes widened in realization.
"Oh no..."
"Oh yes."
A strong wind knocked the 2 boys off their feet. The Monkey King yelped as he got yanked away by the wind, and Red Son groaned as he got slammed into the ground.
Red Son tried to get up, but was soon held down by... Shadows? The shadows we're strong, not letting loose their grip.
Monkey King was currently being held up in the air by the wind while he tried to fight demons that weren't there.
"Oh for the love of- can you please. Turn off. The wind!" The Monkey King groaned as his arms fell limply to his side.
"So we're just gonna ignore the creepy voice that just said 'oh yes' from the void." Red Son retorted sarcastically, earning a "bruh" look from Monkey King.
"Who the hell do you think I was asking to turn off the wind? Buddha?" Monkey King retorted back, earning the same look from Red Son.
"Can the both of you shut the fuck up." the voice from the void said, clear irritation in his voice.
Monkey King froze as he heard the voice clearer, but Red Son obviously didn't recognize it, as he kept talking.
"And who are you supposed to be? Lemme guess, one of the LBD's goons?"
"Red Son, I think you should be quie-"
"No! I'm tired of this! WHERE'S MK! I'M TALKING TO YOU LADY BONE BI-"
"Ok ok geez, no need to throw insults around kiddo."
Red Son froze as the voice from the void now sounded solid, and right behind him. He turned around to see 2 blue eyes staring at him. He was gonna jump away but forgot that he was being held down by strong shadows.
Red Son layed his eye on the monkey covered in ice. His eyebrows furrowed at him, earning him a smug look from the monkey.
He scoffed, waving his hand over Red Son, causing the shadows holding him down to let go.
Immediately, Red Son got up off the ground and threw a fireball at him, then ran to where Monkey King was still in the air.
Macaque shielded himself with his ice-covered hand, catching and diminishing the fire ball.
"Princess?" the smug monkey called, and instantly the wind around The Monkey King disappeared. The Monkey King landed in a superhero pose, and Red Son rolled his eyes.
"What? It's necessary!" he proclaimed, crossing his arms, and Red Son scoffed.
"Well well well," a voice said, catching the attention of the 2. "Isn't it the famous Sun Wukong!"
"Well well well, isn't it the emo version of me." Wukong joked, getting a forced chuckle from his old friend.
"Haha... you think your so fucking funny dontcha' , peaches ."
Red Son stood confused at the name the Emo called Monkey King, but it took a few seconds for Swk to register the name.
"Hehehe... Wait a minute what did you just call me?"
"Why the fuck did he just call you peaches?! "
"Hey, language."
"My language should not be you first concern!"
Monkey King ignored the hothead and glued his eyes to his counterpart, who just had about the biggest smirk on his face.
"What the matter? Peaches."
"Stop calling me peaches."
"Wtf is peaches supposed to mean?"
"Shut up Red Son"
Macaque started walking closer to the 2 boys, hands behind his back, and Monkey King instinctively grabbed Red Son's wrist and dragged him behind him.
Macaque tilted his head and smirked.
"I know why you hurt Sun Wukong."
The Monkey King froze at the use of his full name, (relatable), and started backing away, still having a tight grip on Red Son's wrist.
"I know you regret what you did to me. All those year's ago. I know the memories have scarred you Wukong."
Macaque's voice grew colder by the minute, and Wukong felt that familiar sinking feeling in his stomach.
"I know what you did to me scarred you emotionally, but emotional scars can heal. Mine however... Hehe.... Mine can't."
Macaque got closer and closer to Wukong and Red Son, and Red Son noticed that The Monkey King's Shadow was moving unusually.
Macaque's cocky smirk has vanished, and all that was left was a glare of hatred, directed sharply at Wukong. Wukong kept his head high and a brave face, but his tail has subconsciously wrapped around his ankle, and his grip on Red Son's wrist was getting tighter and tighter.
All 3 of the boys suddenly felt a strong wind blow past them, followed by creepy whispers. The wind seemed to stay near Macaque, and Macaque's ear twitched as he listened.
Wukong realized it was the LBD, and took a step forward, reaching out for his counterpart as he suddenly stopped walking.
"Macaque? Whatever she's saying to you don't listen to her."
Macaque's glare of hatred slowly melted into a "I've got something bad up my sleeve" glare.
"So Red Son. I bet your wondering about the whole 'six-eared' thing, and you're probably wondering why LBD wants you in the first place."
Red Son stood there and stayed silent.
"...okayyy. Well I'm pretty sure it's kinda obvious why she wants you."
Macaque just stared at the 2, but The Monkey King and Red Son just stared at each other in confusion.
"...Seriously? Y'all- y'all haven't figured it out yet?"
Nothing.
"Wukong? Seriously?"
Monkey King just shrugged.
"The only reason I can think of is because she wants his powers or something."
"Holy shit he's a genius." Mac claimed sarcastically, throwing his hands up and rolling his eyes.
"Wait... if she just wants my fire, why can't she just get some other fire demon? Why does she need me?"
Macaque groaned out of annoyance, but suddenly stopped. A grin grew on his face as he looked at Red Son, making him uneasy.
He clapped his hands together and was practically bouncing backwards instead of walking, which was weird.
"Umm Monkey King?" Red Son tugged on the sage's shoulder.
"I don't like the way he's smiling. I think we're finna get our a- I mean our butts kicked."
"Nah really? I thought he was gonna give us Mk and just let us go."
"Dang, don't gotta be sarcastic about it."
"Sorry, got it from Macaque."
"Would you two shut up! The show is going to start soon!" Macaque jumped up in the air and stayed floating, Monkey King was unfazed but Red Son was shocked.
Macaque sighed in content as he leaned back in midair.
"Oh I'm going to enjoy this."
Both Red Son and Monkey King got chills at this line, cause it wasn't said in the cocky monkey's voice, but the LBD's.
Monkey King got into a defensive stance, and Red Son echoed that.
It was really quiet, other than the slight tussling of the trees.
Monkey King kept alert, while Red Son started to relax.
Macaque was still leaning back in midair, and that was enough proof that the bad thing was still coming.
"Hey uhh, portal monkey." Red Son called up, getting a groan from the floating monkey.
"It's Macaque."
"Right but I didn't ask. Anyways I was wondering if you were going to answer my question about why you want meeEEE-"
KABOOM! (Cringy Ahh-)
Red Son didn't get to finish he's sentence as the ground below them suddenly burst up, launching both The Monkey King and Red Son in the air.
The sage caught his bearings in midair and flung himself over to Red Son, he catches him in midair and landed on the ground (not as "superhero-y" as last time)
Red Son's ears we ringing as he realized he was in The Monkey King's arms. He covered his eyes as there was dust getting in his eyes.
The Monkey King was trying to see through all the dust but couldn't see clearly. All he was a blue light.
"Red Son, you ok bud?" Monkey King asked, turning his attention to the demon in his arms.
"What?" Red Son questioned, his ears still ringing a little.
Monkey King checked Red Son's ears. They weren't bleeding, so that's good.
"Umm, what's that?" Red Son claimed, pointing ahead of him to the blue light Monkey King was looking at earlier.
Monkey King turned and looked at the blue light again.
The dust was starting to clear, so the boys could see that there was a person engulfed in the blue light.
Red Son pried out of Monkey King's arms and started walking towards the person cautiously, The Monkey King not far behind.
Red Son squinted his eyes, trying to make out who the figure was. One thought came to mind.
"LBD?" Red Son called out, and Monkey King tilted his head.
Both boys heard a cackle from above, and turned to see the portal monkey hugging his stomach and laughing, with the LBD's voice.
"HA! You wish that was me! *Insert crazy siren-sounding laugh from the season 3 special*"
The Monkey King turned on his gold vision, and his eyes widened as he saw exactly who the figure was.
"It's not her, it's worse..."
"What? What do you mean it's wor-"
The dust finally died down, and the blue light engulfing the figure died down as well, revealing a boy holding a staff.
The LBD's cackling got louder as she watched the boys stare at the figure in shock.
"Oh crap..."
"Oh no..."
The boys stood their frozen as the figure twirled Monkey King's staff in his hands, and looked up at them with 2 glowing blue eyes.
