Chapter Text
Time skip to 10 years later
A little boy cries as he falls right down headfirst into the ground. His older sister immediately comes rushing by his side and helps brush all the dirt off her baby brother before asking him whether he was alright.
The boy sniffles but he answers that he is alright.
Next, their mother comes to his side asking whether her son is alright as she cleaned the dirt off with her handkerchief and lectures how he needed to be more careful before running off suddenly like that.
The little boy nods and apologizes to his mother for worrying his sister and her.
Their father comes over to pat his son on the head praising him for properly apologizing.
Their mother sighs saying he is spoiling the children too much with their father replying fondly how she was also doing the same.
The two children watch as their parents start their usual banter before they puff out small bursts of laughter and their father gives a kiss on his wife's cheeks making her completely blush from head to toe as she shouts at her husband for how shameless he is for doing this in front of such a large crowd.
The family spend some time shopping in town where the two children kept begging their father to buy them candy. In the end, one of the couple's interdimensional space pouches was full filled with all the sweet sugared candy that money could buy for the two respective children and their sweet tooth mother.
The two children were completely exhausted from the shopping spree and were on the verge of sleeping as they munched onto their lunch. Shen Mingchen helps carry his tired sleepy daughter on his back while his wife Shen Xianjiu carries her drooling son in her arms.
They go head to the small hut up on the hills that he and his wife built with their very own hands. Shen Mingchen managed to save up enough money from all the hunting and demon extermination jobs he took to buy the small plot of land where they could safely raise their children in. They even managed to make a small farm of rare herbs and plants his wife collected during their travels and sell them for a rather reasonable price.
Of course, the family still went on their travels but only not very long ones where they would have to leave their hut unattended for too long. Sometimes the Aunty Qian or Owner Liang and her ladies over nearby helps look after it when they were gone for more than a few days.
The townspeople were at first scared of the rogue cultivator's burn marks that marred his face and hands but quickly grew used to it over time.
It was a small, simple, modest life but one filled with happiness and joy.
Flashback to after the Hellfire and the following things that happened afterward
10 years ago just as the fire was about to consume them a mysterious force appeared shielding both him and the former peak lord from the hell flames. Shen Jiu fell unconscious right then and there while Liu Qingge desperately held onto her unconscious body close to his the best he could when a figure of a man that distinctly reminded him of Puffball appeared before him.
The figure smiled at him as he approached the both of them.
For some reason, Liu Qingge felt as though this man was safe and didn't have any need to worry about him hurting either of them.
The figure went to his knees as he put his hand over the unconscious peak lord and absorbed the curses riddling her body onto himself. He also helped heal the war god's burns. Although he couldn't remove the marks completely as his spirit was unfortunately too weak he had told he had managed to remove the effects of the hellfire completely from both peak lords' bodies.
The spirit then opened a portal right underneath the two sending them to the Liu summer villa where they first met. Just before they completely vanished into the portal the spirit asked Liu Qingge to look over his little precious black jade and bid them farewell on their journeys.
That was the last thing Liu Qingge remembered before waking up on his bed with his frantic parents and siblings worrying over him.
He immediately asked where Shen Qingqiu was when he woke up and was relieved to hear how she was being tended to in the room right next over by his mother. It took a while for the former Qing Jing Peak Lord to fully awaken.
Except there was one huge problem Shen Jiu had forgotten most of her memories pertaining to her life as peak lord in the sect except for that the times she spent with her direct disciples and the Bai Zhan War God. She also had a hard time remembering any of their martial sibling's faces and names most especially the peak lords. The only one she barely managed to recognize was the face of the An Ding Peak Lord who came over as soon as he could with his now ice demon husband when he learned of their survival.
The hamster wept for the former Qing Jing Peak Lord citing how he was relieved that both of them managed to make it out of the fire.
Duke Liu smiled as he commented how they had the Prime Minister to thank for that. Who knew the man would be crazy enough to use a soul formation to protect his daughter even after his death? Truly Shao Longwei was one hell of a mother hen.
He got a good whack in the head with a frying pan courtesy of Madam Qian who said that she simply did what she thought her master would have done if he were still here with them.
Madam Liu came in laughing at her husband's plight before going on to explain how the curse had heavily affected her mind and mood during the time she was under its influence.
In a way, she wasn't fully conscious of her actions or her thoughts that's probably why when it was removed she had little to no recollections over most of them after the curse had been cast. She only retained the memories where she was allowed free will or was associated with very strong emotions. Because of that, she remembered all the things she and the War God went through together but was pretty much blurry about everything else with exception of her time with her disciples. If she tried hard enough she could see bits and pieces but that was it.
However, there was one thing that no matter how hard she tried she couldn't remember.
The maiden held whatsoever over no recollections regarding their Sect Leader, not his name, not his face, not even his entire existence. No matter how many times anyone asked her she would just always tilt her head confused asking who they were talking about.
Madam Liu theorized how when the curse was removed they also automatically erased the Sect Leader's seal which may have accidentally caused his entire existence to be wiped from her memory banks. She didn't know whether this could be temporary or not. There was a rather large likelihood that this could remain permanent forever.
Liu Qingge didn't know how to feel about that but Shen Jiu didn't mind the missing memories too much and seemed less burdened by it.
Both of them spent an entire year in the villa just recovering from the entire ordeal as they rebuilt and rekindled their relationship.
Shen Jiu also got the chance to learn a lot more about her parents whose names have finally been cleared according to his father the Duke with the real perpetrator finally paying for his dues.
The emperor ordered them to be reburied in the temple where all the other members of the imperial family bloodline resided and had their plaques enshrined there. He also installed a holiday in memory and honor of the late prime minister making sure people would never forget his heroic acts and the sacrifices he made for the people.
He has given full permission for the young maiden to visit her parent's graves whenever she wanted. He also insisted on her calling him her uncle instead of the emperor which almost shocked quite literally everyone in the room when he came over to the villa for a secret outing along with his shadow who was pale as a white sheet from being dragged all over the place by him.
General Liu could never understand the eccentricity of this bizarre emperor but hey at least he wasn't running the country down under.
In fact, it has been flourishing and prospering better than ever!
The country has entered into a golden age filled with color, culture, knowledge, wealth, and most importantly happiness. Thanks to the entire huge scandal blowing out enraging the people of the empire and nearly starting a full-scale rebellion the emperor was able to swiftly wash over the entire court like he had wanted to and push through the reforms he had been patiently waiting for decades to make along with the help of the late Prime Minister and the neutral nobles faction from Duke Liu's side.
With all of the problematic nobles put behind bars including some very nasty ministers and the very angry mob outside waiting to tear through their skin, the other ministers and nobles had no choice but to conform to the new system whether they liked it or not. Because of that a lot of the nobles had to willingly give up a lot of their privileges and offer them to up to the state which would equally disperse them among the members of the public.
The emperor opened up schools allowing children from common backgrounds to attend as well and even apply for the imperial exams which would allow them to become government officials in the future. He also made much-needed reforms to the slave system which would ensure their well being and bring harsh punishments down on the ones that mistreated them. After all the incident was the result of one slave who had been brutally abused and twisted to the point he was willing to bring the entire two realms down together with him.
The emperor bid farewell to his honorary niece once he saw that she was being well taken care of.
Mu Qingfang shortly came to visit after that. He was relieved to see the former Qing Jing Peak Lord well although he was distraught by the scars on his martial brother's face, especially the one that covered his left eye.
Liu Qingge told him he was fine and that he could see from both eyes perfectly well.
The healer looked suspiciously at the War God before doing his own check and confirmed that the War God was doing just fine.
He then went to check the former scholar's condition only to be surprised at how all her spiritual veins and meridians were perfectly realigned in order while her spiritual roots were almost completely healed! However, he was quite concerned about the former scholar's lack of memories pertaining to her life in the sect including their days as disciples making him wonder just how long she was under the curse's influence.
But unfortunately, there wasn't really much he could do about it and really didn't want to think it was for the best she forgot about them, especially her memories regarding the sect leader.
Mu Qingfang explained how Yue Qingyuan confessed to him about his relationship with the former scholar after being completely distraught over losing her whilst he was treating him. He told him about the time they were children to how he abandoned her in that horrific household and went off to become a cultivator to rescue her.
However, his plans ended up being destroyed when he let his greed go out of control and he picked Xuan Su up and had a major Qi deviation from it as a result. By the time he came out he had been too late and the mansion had burned to the ground.
He had been a living corpse until he reunited with Shen Jiu who was under the discipleship of the notorious Wu Yanzi the only man who was willing to help her after the burning of the estate which Yue Qingyuan highly suspects that his former sworn sister was responsible for.
Shen Jiu refused to come over to the sect at first and he forced her to come with him even going as far as manipulating her through the ancient vow of loyalty she had made to him despite him being the one to break it first. However, Shen Jiu tried to leave multiple times and he became scared that his words would no longer be able to restrain her as they did before so he went to consult his Shizun who told him not to worry that he would have a sure talk with his Xiao Jiu.
It turned out that their Sect Leader knew about the curse the entire time but completely misinterpreted its effects. He thought that the curse simply prevented Xiao Jiu from leaving his side and so long as she did the curse wouldn't activate. The Sect Leader thought even if he relieved Xiao Jiu of her duties since she would be still by his side serving him only not as a peak lord but as a concubine instead...
He thought the curse wouldn't affect her so long as she kept good on his words and stayed with Yue Qingyuan forever until they ascended.
The healer was thoroughly sickened by the sect leader's confession leaving the sect entirely for good this time to become independent on his own. He decided to open a clinic along with his disciples who were willing to follow him down in the border region where they were still suffering from the aftermath of the old war. Even so, he made sure to leave a worthy replacement in his place to hold the peak up until the new generation of peak lords came in.
Yue Qingyuan entered seclusion after confessing everything leaving his jilted fiance to face the bruit of mockery and humiliation by both the mortal and immortal realm alike.
In the end, the Xian Shu Peak Lord isolated herself into her peak refusing to step a single foot off it.
As for the others, he couldn't really give a damn but he does remember all of the peak lords being buried in paperwork from head to toe doing their best to finish their own jobs and juggling the work of both their sect leader and the Qing Jing Peak Lord.
Damn, they deserved it!
Hall master Huang disappeared shortly after along with all the disciples that once resided thereafter supposedly fulfilling her wish.
Once they were done recuperating Shen Xianjiu and Liu Mingchen decided to set their paths out in the world. They went traveling to all kinds of places and went on exciting adventures that blew both of their minds away.
Eventually, Shen Xianjiu finally managed to work up the courage to go visit and meet with her former disciples who were very shocked and happy to see their Master alive. Although it was one hell of a roller coaster when they discovered how their teacher had been a woman this entire time hey they couldn't care less they were just happy that she finally freed herself from that dastardly toxic place.
Jun Xin and Ning Yingying had a slight suspicion that their teacher might actually be a woman so they weren't that surprised when she revealed her true self to them.
The elder senior disciple then got pushed over by the young maiden who told him he owed her money since he lost the bet of how long it would take for the two former peak lords to recognize their mutual feelings for one another.
Jun Xin sighed but looking at the happy face of his teacher as she lay sleeping beside that brute he willingly gave all his money to his younger martial sister.
Unfortunately, they couldn't visit the Warm Red Pavillion that the maiden frequented and most likely took refuge in. Liu Mingyan went in their stead to deliver the message that their dear A-Jiu is doing alive and well. She also brought enough money for the Madam to free all of the ladies there and feed them for a lifetime through the secret inheritance that the Prime Minister had left behind in the hands of his best friend. If they insisted on working then the Liu family mansion would welcome them with open arms.
Madam Liang and the ladies appreciated their offer but they preferred to stay away from the realm of politics.
That's when Owner Wen came in and offered work at his place. His restaurant was in desperate need of hands now with business booming. Since it was far out nobody would know about the Madam and the ladies' past. He even offered to help them open their own place once things settled down and they formed enough connections after all they had the talent and money for it.
The Owner quite liked the food being offered at the Pavillion and said he never tasted anything like it and was sure to hit it off with the customers. No wonder so many people came to the Pavillion minus the beautiful ladies of course the owner winked making the ladies giggle.
They went with the owner to learn from him the workings of a restaurant and went on to build one in another area rather close to the village where Madam Qian resided in. She and Madam Liang hit it off quite well by talking about the young mistress.
Madam Liang was glad to know that her A-Jiu had been deeply loved by her parents who were even willing to sacrifice their souls and existence to keep their daughter alive and well. After all not many parents in this world are capable of such a feat and many of the ladies should know being abandoned or sold by their parents for a meager bowl of rice to keep themselves and their remaining family members alive.
Once things settled down with their restaurant A-Jiu came to visit them.
They were warned beforehand that she might not remember them but thank the heavens she did. She instantly recognized the Madam and her ladies and went over to hug her even calling her A-Niang.
The old former Brothel Madam and now the owner of a booming restaurant couldn't stop her eyes from bawling out.
Madam Liang and her ladies were going to give the former Bai Zhan War God a good piece of their mind before they saw the burn marks on his face and hands. They had heard how the War God rushed into the fire without a single hesitation even willing to abandon his life and follow their A-Jiu into the deep abyss.
But to think he went there even after turning into such a state...
The ladies had nothing to say anymore.
Liu Mingchen and Shen Xianjiu's relationship
Things were extremely awkward between both of them at first but their time away from the sect did wonders to their relationship and with time allowed it to fully blossom into the beautiful majestic flower it is.
After many trials and tribulations, their bond has become tighter than ever with nothing being able to ever break it apart again. They went through so many things together as they traveled together and got quite into a lot of trouble courtesy of both of them.
Shen Xianjiu looked so happy witnessing the many wonders of the world as she bantered with the idiot monkey.
However, things between them romantically didn't exactly progress until they went to the succubus cave to free some idiot men who got caught in their grasp.
Shen Xianjiu looked curiously at the monkey who was completely unaffected and teasingly asked him why he didn't feel aroused with so many beautiful voluptuous women there in the toe.
Liu Mingchen scoffed telling her how could he feel attracted to them when the most majestic mystically beautiful being in this world stood by him.
At first, the maiden didn't understand who he was pointing at until he gently lifted her hand and kissed the back of the fingers telling her how none of those shitty batshit hags could ever come to toe in toe with her ethereal and majestic beauty that came both from in and out.
Shen Xianjiu turned completely red hot from head to toe with that shouting out just how shameless and brazen the monkey had gotten before walking furiously away but not fast enough to lose the monkey completely.
After that Liu Mingchen would be sending his sister butterfly messengers asking for her advice on proper courting etiquettes and romantic gestures.
Liu Mingyan sent an entire fucking stack of books for him to read with the big words written courting etiquettes 101 for idiots and the pathway romance to hopeless novices. Honestly, the former Bai Zhan War God didn't know whether he should be mad for being completely ridiculed like this or cry at the sight of the large stack of books.
It took him an entire month to finish reading all of them and gave him one gigantic huge headache. Unfortunately, none of his efforts paid off as Shen Xianjiu had no idea herself regarding proper courting etiquette and couldn't get a clue at all about his indirect professions of love.
He just decided to fuck it and go for a much more straightforward approach that he is more used to and is good at. That seemed to have more effect on the maiden as she was left fumbling around at the War God's straightforward actions.
After an entire three years of this, the maiden finally agreed to enter a courtship with the former Bai Zhan War God with the intention of properly getting engaged and possibly married in the future. The two got married in no time in a small ceremony in the small village where Madam Qian was with only their family members, close friends, and former students in attendance.
That was the very first night they also had a rather quite passionate round of sex with Shen Xianjiu taking complete domination and Shen Mingchen liking it quite well.
She looked extremely beautiful as she pushed the former war god onto the bed and rode him as she teased him by touching various parts of his body and slowly taking both of their robes off until he could no longer take it anymore and begged the maiden for mercy. He immediately pounced on her when she gave him her permission to touch her and gently caress her goddess-like figure.
Shen Xianjiu's mind went blank after a round of orgasms she got from the electrocuting senses of being teased by the nipples by the warm burning tongue of the former war god and her flower being gently pried open over and again by his long strong fingers. In the end, she took back control demanding that the former war god take responsibility for her addled state.
Liu... no Shen Minghchen happily obliged his wife's command and slowly plunged into her flower giving the maiden all sorts of pleasurable sensations she had never felt or thought capable of feeling before.
They were tied to the bedroom for an entire 3 days when their stamina and stomach finally gave out on them. In a way, it was no wonder that Shen Xianjiu quickly became pregnant with their daughter right after that.
Shen Xianjiu was crying at the miracle given to her by her father who had not only taken away the curse but also healed all of his daughter's physical ailments even her womb allowing for her to bear children again.
She gave birth to a healthy lively daughter whom they named A-Song hoping she would grow as strong as the pine trees she was named after. Later she would become pregnant with their shy but boisterous son Hong-er after a rather vigorous round of sex outdoors...
Raising children was one hell of a ride for Shen Mingchen who had absolutely no fucking single clue about parenthood, unlike his wife who took everything with a stride from her experiences of raising Ning Yingying. He had to rely mostly on his wife's and mother's advice regarding the entire thing. It took him a while but he finally got the hang of things by the time their second child was born and he was a proud reliable trustworthy parent that could properly support his wife by raising their children.
Now Shen Mingchen and Shen Xianjiu are living peacefully right by each other's side as they walk back to their home with their tired sleepy children in their arms
According to the rumors and stories...
An adult Liu Mingyan walks by close to the territory where the now almost desolate Cang Qiong Mountain Sect stood.
After the entire incident a lot of disciples most especially the ones of Qing Jing Peak left the sect behind unable to withstand the toxicity of this entire environment any longer. The majority of them went back to their noble homes with nowhere else to go while some of them went off to go train in other very minor sects that were willing to take them in. Only a very few of them managed to become independent and went out to forge their paths in the world. All of them were former students of the Qing Jing Peak Lord.
The Peak Lords couldn't do anything but watch as almost two-thirds of their disciples packed their bags and left the sect one by one. Eventually, the hall masters started handing in their resignations and went back to their families or went off to join other sects. Barely any children signed up for the exams anymore the numbers growing fewer as each year passed by. It will only be a matter of time before anyone comes to take the exam at all periods.
The majority of peak lords couldn't walk out of the sect's ground without being turned into a major laughing stock by the public who ridiculed the peak lords for their pathetic state. But even so, they continued to stay because they knew no other life outside of the sect and were bound to it.
Of course, the sect fell into decline with their strategist and war god dead, their accountant bridenapped by the fearsome Nothern Demon Lord, and the healer leaving to go on his own path along with his disciples.
Frankly with the four major pillars gone Cang Qiong could no longer stand proudly as it did before.
The entire management became one huge fucking pile of mess with the peak lords bickering over who was responsible for it looking to push the blame to someone or anyone. Because of that, the place has become a breeding ground for chaos and unruliness.
Not only that without the An Ding Peak Lord and his disciples who have completely boycotted themselves from all other peaks there to clean up after them the sect is buried in endless piles of complaints and bills regarding the damages they caused landing the sect into heavy debt.
The Xian Shu Peak Lord after recovering from her so-called humiliation took the lead on the behalf of their sect leader who has all but gone wandering out in the world in search of the ghost of his martial brother and former sworn sibling. However, her bad decisions and arrogant attitude kept the sect driving down until their reputation, positions, and standing in the immortal realm all but became irreparable at this point.
Now the peak lords were all but former shells of their past selves.
Unexpectedly though only the Drunken Zui Xian Peak Lord seemed to be properly reflecting on his past actions.
Every time there was trouble it was he who came down the mountain to personally bow his head down in apology and handle the matters the best he could with his abilities. He would come to drag his martial siblings for them to properly take responsibility for both their and their disciple's actions.
The drunken peak lord started taking more and more of the responsible role which enabled the sect to keep barely standing on its feet. He also gave his martial siblings a good whacking when they needed one and gave them long lectures regarding their unjust and unforgivable lazy attitudes.
The man had the memorials of the two peak lords enshrined somewhere outside of the sect saying how these two people deserved more than to rot in this place. He would regularly go to visit there with incense and paper money in toe praying that the heavens would give them the chance to enter the reincarnation cycle once again.
The Zui Xian Peak Lord went by the empty scholarly peak whenever he could and saw to it that it was cleaned every now and then. He commented how he should have taken more care of his martial siblings instead of lazing around and drowning out his empty sad heart with all the wine he had stashed on his peak. He should have paid more attention to the sacrifices his martial brother had made for all their sake instead of doing nothing more than complain every time.
Now he was gone and there was nothing they could do about it except go on to their lives without them...
The drunken peak lord assured the late Qing Jing Peak Lord that he will do his best from now on to take care of the things that were once precious to him.
At least one person realized their mistake and properly redeemed their selves Liu Mingyan huffed, unlike her old master whom she ran into by coincidence after trying to stop her from slapping another woman.
She yelled at Liu Mingyan for stopping her and for disrespecting her Shizun! She then ordered her to follow her back to the peak where she will properly take the punishment she deserves and have her position as head disciple stripped from her until she deemed her worthy enough to take it once again!
Liu Mingyan gave an eye roll at her former master asking her why she should listen to her when she was no longer her master? Qi Qingqi was merely a distant relative from a branch family that had been long cut off from the Liu Clan and was barely surviving on the margin. In fact, if anything she should be listening to her about her status as the daughter and young mistress of the Liu Dukedom clearly outranked hers.
She then contacted the nearby officials to have the authorities take her screaming former master away to be locked in a prison cell for her offense until the Zui Xian tiredly came to pick her up and force her to apologize over and over again in a never-ending cycle...
Sect Leader Yue wasn't also fairing any better with him clinging onto the robes of the former Qing Jing Peak disciples begging them to tell him what they knew of Xiao Jiu. The senile man refused to believe that his martial brother was gone completely for good and kept chasing after any traces he could find of them.
Liu Mingyan and her family has been helping the disciples throw off the sect leader in a completely different direction sending him on a wild goose chase.
Shen Xianjiu and the late Prime Minister deserved far better than those disgustingly dastardly people that came from the Yue family that has all but fallen into ruins and had everything related to them wiped off the record.
Only the Sect Leader was spared courtesy of the former Qing Jing Peak Lord who prior to her memory loss begged mercy on his behalf to the emperor who has become the honorary great uncle to her children.
Shen Xianjiu still had no recollections of her life in the sect most especially regarding the sect leader absolutely at all and for all that mattered everyone would like to keep it that way.
By coincidence, the Wan Jian Peak Lord ran into her brother whom he mistook for a stranger with scars marred over his face. Luckily, even after meeting her sister-in-law, the blacksmith didn't recognize her at all and she also did not vice versa.
Actually, he did and had half the mind to drag them back until he saw the wonderful perfect picture of the family standing before him. Then all the memories of the time they constantly undermined and ridiculed the scholar came back into mind. He decided to keep his mouth shut and left with only a measly greeting commenting on how happy and joyous they looked.
He also offered a small toy to the child that the Zui Xian Peak Lord insisted he makes and carried around to make his face look less scary and intimidating to the young children. But as expected with their father covered in burn marks the two children weren't scared at all by his face and even went on to comment how funny and weird he looked with the beard.
Shen Xianjiu didn't seem to recognize him at all, unlike her husband who had his grip on his sword ready to strike at him at any given moment.
He watched as the couple walked off on the road continuing with their travels.
The blacksmith went to offer incense sticks to their empty graves and finally decided to shed his lazy ass off to help his drunken martial brother.
The rest of the peak lords, well, they spent their day cursing each other and most especially the Qing Jing Peak Lord for their misery until they fell into the pits of hell after being rejected by the heavens during their ascension.
The Luo Binghe of this world was never given the chance to rise from his lowly status as his adoptive mother never passed away due to the events that occurred. He lived peacefully spending his days working for a small merchant guild nearby.
All his wives well they went to form their own lives. Some perished, some lived peacefully, and some flourished in their respective career paths.
Liu Mingyan for one was enjoying her life as a rogue cultivator and romance novel writer Liu Su Mian Hua.
She may or may not also be currently dating the infamous demonic Saintress Sha Hualing who became impressed by her strength and asked her to be her partner after being nearly cut in half by the cultivator.
Demons and their weird sense of culture...
But hey why not Liu Mingyan back then thought and found herself deeply immersed in this relationship to the point she actually introduced the demon to her parents and siblings who became pale at her choice of partner.
Shen Mingchen was tempted to cut the demoness where she stood but was stopped by his wife who the demonic Saintress has taken a shine to after witnessing the full force of her venomous tongue that was still proud and present. Shen Xianjiu explained how demons were like this and they interpreted strength and cunningness as attractiveness.
She then recounted the story of the demon inn that nearly swallowed her whole and her husband came to rescue her from.
After hearing that the siblings were very tempted to call back forth the wretched demon's soul just to tear about into shreds again
Over time people forgot about the story of the heinous Qing Jing Peak Lord and the disastrous Cang Qiong Mountain Sect he had once belonged to as it disappeared into the dust. Only the legend of the grand phoenix that shined upon the sky and rained its fire sparks of blessing on the land that gave them a golden time for generations to come remained.
It is said that the phoenix was born between the love of two star-crossed lovers who joined each other in death. Those who had the chance to witness it were said to be blessed with eternal love and devotion.
In the far future of the Modern World: Cucumber Bro
Shen Yuan is whacking the head of the goddamn idiot quack of an author for basing this tear-jerking tragic love story novel he wrote using his tsundere cousin and her husband as models.
Oh, Shang Qinghua is so lucky that he is the one here instead of his terrifying scary uncle who would sure as hell sink his friend down right down into the bottom of the ocean!
Hell, he would have to if it weren't for the quack being his only real live friend on this entire fucking planet!
That and mostly because his niece likes the funny Gege and would be devasted if she was no longer able to play with him. Then she would cry out so loud breaking the hearts of everyone in the family...
This is the only reason why this fucking quack is alive despite the every now and then looks of disapproval from Shen Yuan's uncle for his questionable choices of friends.
Uncle Longwei is so overprotective of his daughter and would literally stop at nothing to wipe anyone who dares to even think of laying a finger on her off the face of the earth.
Aunty just sits by and relaxes while she lets her husband go on run out of his little tyranny until she decides he has done enough for the day and drags him back home.
His cousin already had her hands full as she was trying to stop his uncle from planning a perfect homicide every time he meets her husband whom he barely approved of on the account of being his granddaughter's father and his childhood friend's son. If he hadn't owed his childhood friend he would have straight-up hurled the brute right into the volcano if he could.
That and he won a lot of points for rescuing his daughter from the burning building that was started by an accident by some idiot stalker who couldn't take no for an answer.
Luckily, both of them came out of the fire relatively unharmed aside from a few burn marks on his cousin-in-law's arms that he got from shielding his cousin from the incoming blast. Of course, the stalker got arrested right after that and kept on yelling "Xiao Jiu, Xiao Jiu!" like a broken recorder.
Shen Yuan doesn't know but the fucking lunatic somehow got it into his head that his cousin liked him and wished to marry him even though she was already dating her cousin-in-law back then and they were well on off their way planning to get married to one another. The guy was completely insane going and on-off about past lives and how they were fated to be together.
Once Uncle Longwei found out about it he made sure to have the man get the heaviest sentence he possibly could and sent him off to a high maximum security level prison where the man would most likely end up dying...
The senior was so pissed off at how the person who stalked his cousin had the exact same last name as his ex-colleague who had tried to assault him in the past when word of his daughter being born spread around at his workplace.
The ex-colleague approached him when he was doing some overtime work shift to make up for the work he was going to miss with his parental leave.
Shen Longwei found it odd as to how his colleague was wearing a mask and questioned it when he was suddenly sprayed with some condensed version of the very strong aphrodisiac he got on the black market according to the police officers he called later. His knees buckled over as his senses got completely messed leaving him utterly defenseless against his attacker.
Luckily he managed to stop him by tasing him with the taser gun he carried around for protection but boy was it close and made his uncle sick enough to hand in his resignation from the corporation right after he got discharged from the hospital.
Shen Yuan's dad offered him a job at his place but he refused and opted to work as a freelance business consultant who as expected has been making millions.
Well either way there really was no need for him to actually work since he has tons of stocks from all different companies, corporations, and industries lining up in his pocket. Even without those, he could probably make a living as some hot ace bodyguard with his looks and rows of martial arts competitions trophy stashed in some old box in the attic there.
Truly that man is a freaking monster...
But he's always been a good father to his cousin and a good uncle to Shen Yuan and his siblings. He can be a bit awkward at times not knowing how to react but when you needed a steady hand to comfort a crying child he was your man.
Shen Yuan liked his uncle very much and often referred to him as his second father since his real one was away most of the time due to his work as CEO of the large Shen Foundation Group. It bruised his father quite a lot when he heard his children calling his brother-in-law Baba and not him. Since then he started making an actual effort to spend more of his time with his family which Shen Yuan appreciates very much.
But even so at the first sign of trouble, they would always go running to Uncle Longwei and Cousin Xianjiu instead of their own parents.
Uncle Longwei was the one who held Shen Yuan's hands when he was too scared to go to school alone with all the bullies there waiting to get at him.
Shen Xianjiu was the one who came running by his side when Shen Yuan called about how the girl who had confessed to him posted his reactions all over the social media network and started trashing him for his cold attitude when rejecting her.
Uncle Longwei immediately had that handled and got the girl expelled from school as well as having any records of that post completely crushed into oblivion.
His cousin was the one who helped him through his closed in shut-in period and managed to get him to go to regular counseling who has been helping a lot. She even got him hooked onto a school program that gave him the option to attend classes either online or in the classroom.
Thanks to that he was able to safely graduate from high school and is now a fully-fledged university student with a geeky nerd friend at his side.
That's why he may or may not have helped his siblings make a series of tests for her husband before deeming him worthy enough to date their cousin. They made him go through quite a lot and some potentially hazardous tests but hey if he was going to date their cousin he could stand a ride to the hospital or two right?
Their cousin slapped herself in the face when she realized what was going on and lectured all of them for the entire day for nearly killing her boyfriend!
Then the next thing they knew that fucking brute managed to swipe her feet away and now they were a happily married couple with a beautiful daughter and another child on the way. Meaning that Uncle Longwei and Uncle Liu will be having another competition as to who gets to hold their grandchild first.
Shen Yuan is sure as hell that his uncle is going to win again but hey let the man live a little.
To be honest it kind of makes him feel jealous at how almost everyone even this hamster has a love life all except for him. When is he going to get his fairy tale romance?
Shen Yuan stood up from his chair as he and his friend headed to their next class that was when he bumped into an ethereally hot gorgeous beefy man that has probably ever existed on this planet. He unexpectedly finds himself blushing as he apologized for bumping into him which the man replied he didn't mind at all.
That's when the man noticed the textbook in his hands and asked if he was taking ancient literature, the next class, too.
Shen Yuan replied yes.
The man looked so relieved saying how he actually was still a freshman here and didn't know his way around the ropes yet. That's why he was looking for anyone who could show him where the class was.
Shen Yuan agreed to guide the hot gorgeous man who introduced himself as Luo Binghe.
Little Extra Bing-Ge
Bing-Ge was surprised to learn how his scum villain Shizun was actually his loving sweetheart A-Yuan's cousin.
Not only that his Shizun was a she and not a he...
Now wasn't that one huge fucking load of bullshit!
As if that wasn't enough she was a fully-fledged mother with two beautiful children and the Bai Zhan War God as her husband...
What the fucking hell!?
How and what did two people who were stabbing swords at each other in their past lives end up fucking together of all people!?
He asked one of his friends and wives in his past life Mingyan for an explanation regarding the two. She simply answered how her brother and her sister-in-law were childhood sweethearts that have been engaged to each other since they were born by their parents. However, after the incident, they became separated as Uncle Shen could no longer stand to stay anywhere near where his ex-colleague once was.
They reunited back in college where a series of dramas occurred and they officially started dating one another. Then they went off to marry one another after their jobs settled down and had her niece and nephew.
Bing-Ge's mouth dropped by the end of the story...
However, when he saw his dear precious angle A-Yuan calling out to him he could care less.
