Chapter Text
You’ve been zoned out for a while, haven’t you?
Well you’re back now, that’s good.
You look around, the others look mostly the same, it’s getting darker outside now, Danny is still at the wheel, Jimmy is still on his computer, and SpongeBob is having a kinda one-sided conversation with Goddard.
Looking back down at your phone you see the death screen on a subway surfers game, it’s not that interesting but you’re a bit upset you got distracted from the game.
It’s abnormally calm, and if you know anything, that’s not good.
You look to the side, spotting the sword you haven’t picked up in quite a bit, you push it slightly towards you, making sure it’s on hand.
Something’s wrong.
Danny says it’s time to stop for the night, and he pulls over again.
You look around, staring through the windows of the bus, you can swear for a split second you see something move outside, but you can’t explain it.
Your eyes dart to the others again, Jimmy and the sponge seem calm, unaware, however Danny looks to be on alert, he may have the same feeling as you do.
Suddenly you feel a slight shake, you think you’re imagining it, like you imagined the eyes on that car, or the movement of something outside the bus, but you feel the shake again, this time stronger.
The other two seem more aware now, the sudden motion definitely alerted them of the situation. The shakes continue, and they keep getting stronger.
You grab the hilt of the sword by your feet and stand up, you see Jimmy holding a gun out the corner of your eye, SpongeBob now sports large red, honestly kinda cheesy looking, gloves, you glance at Danny and somehow his whole appearance changed, white hair, green eyes and a whole suit, very different from regular Danny.
You don’t care enough to question how Danny completely changed his look, all you care about is the rumble around you that is gradually becoming more powerful.
You close your eyes, hoping for one last time that this is all a dream and when wake up you’ll see your best friends faces smiling, but that’s not the reality of the situation, and you know it, because this isn’t a dream and you are in real danger.
So open your eyes, Timmy.
It takes you a moment, but you finally let the light behind your eyelids in, the rumbling feeling is back, and you see the others faces again, but you don’t just want to stand guard. slowly you make your way towards the door of the bus.
And you open it. The outside reveals almost nothing, all you can see ahead of you is the small part of the world that you decided to park near. The bus is still being shaken though, and you can barely hold onto the side of the vehicle without almost teetering out onto the ground.
You can feel the others gather behind you, and as you step out into the world, everything goes dark.
…
When you wake up, you’re on the ground, everything hurts, and you can’t see the bus anymore, in fact you don’t think you’re anywhere near the bus.
Looking to your left, you see Jimmy, which you thank whatever god is out there for because at least you got stuck with the smart one.
However you follow that thanks with a prompt “fuck you god” because it stuck you with the one that’s the most awkward around you.
You get up from the ground, making sure nothing in your body is broken, thankfully nothing is.
You still have the sword, you assume whatever attacked you took some bit of mercy and left the weapon with you.
Jimmy wakes up a bit after you get up, he stirs a bit before shooting up in a cold sweat. His eyes dart between you and the strange forest around you.
“Where are we?” He asks.
“I have no idea.”
He sighs, picking himself up, “well that’s just, great.” His voiced is laced with sarcasm.
Jimmy takes a deep breath and starts walking.
It takes a moment but you soon catch up to him, asking him about his actions “Woah where the hell are you going?”
“To go find the others, now cmon let’s go.”
You give him a look that you yourself can’t quite identify, and follow him into the unknown, for the second time this month.
