It's hard to put down in 2000 characters the things that define me - I suppose I come under a lot of labels, but none really stick.
In regards to writing, I believe in strong female leads and I'm always up for a bit of femslash. I also believe in steering away from the usual male character tropes (violent, aggressive, controlling etc.) - I think all characters should have a heart and passion of their own and reflect human existence in that no person sits completely on either end of the good/evil scale or the peaceful/chaotic one but we all fall somewhere in between and keep sliding as we live our lives. This is what I hope to write into each character I write about (whether I have created them or not).
So far, I have only dabbled in some Lost Girl fic, but I might head over to Orphan Black, OITNB, Doctor Who or any of the other well written sci-fi shows that seemed to have claimed a little piece of my soul.
When it comes to being a fan of a show (particularly Lost Girl and Orphan Black for me), I thought I could just be a casual fan, but then I thought 'why don't I just let it consume my heart mind and soul? That sounds like fun!' So here I am, hungry for more connection with the characters I love and craving to carve out some stories of my own along the way.
