Also I have a tumbler now. I have created it under my author name: angeltalion I haven't yet decided if I will post fic there but I have been posting updates on fics and their progress.
I started reading fanfic back during Buffy season one and never really stopped. While I moved on to other fandoms reading lots of new things threw out the years I have only written for Buffy, Stargate, and the anime Naruto until I stumbled upon Glee. If it hadn't been for my mother-in-law I never would have found it in the first place. I think I fell in love with Kurt Hummel (as I did with Rodney McKay) upon sight! I tend to be an exclusively slash writer and even when watching TV I root for and 'see' the slash about 70% of the time.
Most of my friends and family know my pastime and either actively encourage me, join in my fun, or think I'm a nutball. LOL, If you've watched Dr. Who with David Tenant (SPOILER STOP READING IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW!) there is a part where Captain Jack rides to the end of time. The Doctor spends a good deal of his time telling Jack to "Stooop it!" (stop it) in a tone that is both scolding and quite well dominant/possessive to my ears. Because Jack oozes charm and flirt. He is by nature a HUGE flirt. When my husband knows I'm seeing the slash, as he calls it, that is what he says. "Stoop iit." and some of our friends do it too now. To me, it is hilarious. (You guys don't know how many times I heard it during X-men First Class)
