I have been lurking as a guest for years. Fan fiction on Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice drew me in first, then I took a look at the Harry Potter fandom and was hooked- especially on Severus Snape surviving and finding love. It was great to find I am not the only one who objected to his death in the Shrieking Shack :-P While some sad stuff people have written about him has a lot of artistic merit, I just don't want to howl my guts out. Watching real world news unfold is more than enough in that respect. To me, fan fiction is an escape from the world, and good smut can help to get my mind into the right place. That said, my favorite rating is "teenage and up"- the stories are much more varied here.
I myself am not exactly creative most of the time, so expect very few pieces by me here- and short ones at that. I am, however, a professional proofreader for both English and German, so do contact me if you think I could be your beta. Of course, that would be for free, assuming I have enough time and we can work together well.
