By day, I am a scientist. By night, an avid reader who somehow became obsessed with Colin and Penelope after watching Season 1 of Bridgerton. After checking that Penelope and Colin end up together, I read all 8 books and could hardly wait for Season 3 - a season that was a little disappointing in that there was not enough Polin time and that Colin was a bit too much and not enough in the last two episodes. I turned, for the first time, to fan fiction for more, and got hooked on Polin stories, so much so that I found myself trying my hand at writing something other than scientific papers and reports.

Favorite ideas: Colin and Penelope as friends to lovers. Violet as the mom we all love. Anthony as difficult but loving. Ben and Pen having a special, fully platonic relationship. Daphne as Colin's closest sister, always elegant. Eloise as Penelope's fierce best friend who is the last to see the sparks between Colin and Pen. Francesca as the calm, thoughtful one, with John, Michael or Michaela. Michaela or Michael having a special friendhip with Colin. Gregory having a crush on Penelope. Hyacinth as the lively little sister who sees everything and schemes.

Stories I avoid (unless I adore the author): Colin or Pen married to or divorced from anyone else. Colin or Pen with children from anyone else. Colin or Pen with too much time with someone else. Pen having Colin's child and not telling him (except special circumstances). Ambiguous endings. Colin or Pen cheating.

HATE Heavy Angst, especially where the HEA is the last few paragraphs and we hardly get to see them enjoying each other. My real life has enough stress that I don't need to feel constant heartbreak and angst by the spoonful.
