Summary
They say you ship a character that you identify with with your type. They say that you ship assholes with nice people because you would like to be loved flaws and all by a good person. They say many things about the philosophy and psychology of shipping, but at thirty something and in a overwhelminglly stressful sitruation I entered a snamione reading binge. Probably because a talented schoolgirl is very much not what I am, because I wish I had a competent asshole devoted to me to keep the world at bay; maybe because I identify with Severus' trauma and flaws, maybe because Hermione is the most sound minded of the Trio and she remains the only one that adult me can still identify with. Who knows.
But most probably because these talented writers are doing really amazing things with the ship and they allowed me to escape my mind in a moment where I was exhausted. To them, this humble selection and my acknowledgment of their talent.(Open, Unmoderated)
