So. My name is Josh (go figure), though you probably figured that out from my username. I'm in my thirties, male, and I like hanging out with my family and pet cat, writing or reading fanfiction, watching tv, and playing videogames.
I first started writing fanfiction in April 2008, with an honestly terrible Pokemon fic called Destruction of Darkness on the Pokefiction forum of the gaming site Neoseeker. Looking back, I do regret a lot of the mistakes that I made with that particular story, and if given the chance I would go back and definitely rewrite it with the help of the other authors who I had the pleasure of working on it with, but it led to me working on another two stories with another author that I greatly admired at the time (and still do if I'm honest), so it was all worth it in the end.
Fanfiction has been a huge part of my life since I wrote my first story. I've wanted to be a writer for almost as long as I can remember (although back when I was a kid (i.e 6-7 years old) I did want to be a zookeeper for a while, so that was an interesting change), and I started my first story as a way to practice my writing in 2006. That... didn't go well.
It got me to here, though, and honestly I'm proud of where I am and I can't imagine doing anything different with my free time.
