I write pokemon fic with a realist/survivalist take and an emphasis on relationships between humans and nature. My trainers all start traveling at 18; in my settings, both pokemon and the wilderness itself can be dangerous, and I figure running around with magical monsters is at least as dangerous as buying cigarettes or joining the army. For bite-sized bits of that world, check out "Postcards." For a deeper dive, check out "Spring" or "Continental Divides."
When I'm not writing I'm illustrating, teaching art, teaching teens at the library how to play all kinds of board games, and GMing tabletop RPGs. Read: I'm a professional nerd mentor. Talk to me about climate change or your favorite kind of soup.

Blanket thank you to A_Pen, Wolflyn, and the three woopers in a trench coat calling themselves Kintsugi. Without your brainstorming, shop talk, and general support these stories would be very different and not quite as good.
