It should go without saying, but the transphobic and otherwise queerphobic vitriol JKR keeps vomiting on Twitter explicitly goes against my values as human and a writer. If you want to monetarily counteract JKR's hatred, I encourage you to donate to the Transgender Law Center, The Trevor Project, and your local community resources for queer people.
In light of the UK Supreme Court's decision this week, which was handsomely funded by the money HP fans have given JKR, I'm putting all WIPs on indefinite hiatus. I have tried to counteract her bullshit with my own stories and my own values, but I feel like I'm shouting into the void, and I am tired. I would like to continue these stories someday because I truly love these characters and this world, but that will likely be a long, long time from now.
