I'd been a Tolkien fan for years when in 2001 Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring first appeared in theaters and re-ignited my passion for Middle-earth. Some months later, while searching the net for Tolkien info, I stumbled upon fanfic, was intrigued, then decided to try writing one for myself. That swept me off on a life-changing journey in which I practiced and honed my writing craft, learned so much about Tolkien and fandom lore, and met fellow travelers on the road, many of whom have become good and dear friends. What a marvelous ride! I've mostly written in the Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion fandoms. My Silm fics are also on the Silmarillion Writers' Guild. For a long time only my Silm fics, along with my fics in other fandoms, resided on AO3 but then in 2022, the Open Doors project transferred my earlier LOTR fics from the defunct Of Elves and Men archive. Mirabile dictu! So now all my Tolkien-based stories are here. I've also dabbled in the worlds created by Mary Renault (Persian Boy-Alexander series), Ellen Kushner (Swordspoint), Storm Constantine (Wraeththu) and others. Enjoy!
