Late 60's. Female. Retired hair stylist (owned own business). Retired municipal supervisor in Parks and Gardens for the City in which I lived. In the winter I ran heavy equipment for snow removal (front end loader, garbage truck, bobcat, dump trucks for plowing and sanding City streets). Very complicated and labor-rich plus designing and installation of City gardens, hanging baskets, etc. Plus management of a 6+ person crew. I loved it. I was the first and only woman in an all male Public Works Department. They did everything that could be done including hostile work environment, sexual harassment, deception, collusion, up to and including multiple attempts to see me fired. BUT... I persevered for 20 years... damn their eyes... and I made it to my retirement!!! (heh heh heh snort!).
