I couldn’t write creatively for many years due to brain damage, and fanfiction helped me to stretch those writing muscles when the damage healed. Now, I’m so proud to be an author thanks to the space AO3 gave me. I’d love to have a chance to return to writing some of these fics someday, but my books are my current focus!
