Work Text:

Ichimatsu buried his face deep in his knees, the beating of his heart thundering in his ears. The warm breath came in puffs that moistened the fabric of his pants.

It was a bad day, that was for sure. He didn't know why, there wasn't reason, there was nothing to explain it, everything felt just wrong.

His arms itched, he wouldn't.

Temptation

His arms tightened even more on his knees. His nails will surely leave angry marks in the shape of a crescent.

The sky outside was cold, transparent. The rain fell diligently generating a soft clatter that made his ears hum. His breathing was getting a little harsh, the increase in the annoying sound made him shudder. He curled up as much as he could on himself.

Every second seemed like hours. The house was silent except for the insistent pounding of the drops on the ceiling and the window.

A beam of light illuminated the room before dark, a loud roar followed him. As if someone had dropped a lot of pots and pans, the sound reverberating in Ichimatsu's brain.

His breath caught, small inhalations forced him to open his mouth constantly. Oxygen refusing to enter his lungs, the excess of air binding him. His chest contracted and his face began to burn. The suffocating air, still unable to calm his breathing faster and faster. His hands felt cold, the rest of his body trembled with strong waves. His limbs becoming more numb, Ichimatsu knew what was happening. But he was still scared, panic dragging salty tears to his already foggy eyes.

He just had to wait

Wait
Wait
Wait

'' Ichimatsu! ''

The aforementioned brother raised his head with a surprised gasp. His vision was somewhat blurred by the lack of oxygen, but he could make out a familiar blue blur that was rapidly approaching him.

He wanted to move, jump on his older brother and cling to him, but his body refused to move, he could only tremble like a leaf and sob.

Karamatsu finally came to the side of his brother, he ignore how he shuddered when he put a hand on his shoulder. The older one pulled the little boy into his arms, Ichimatsu buried his face deep in his brother's sweatshirt, soaking it in tears almost immediately. His limbs are still completely rigid.

Karamatsu began to rock them gently

"Come on Ichi, just breathe"

"I will count "

3...

Ichimatsu inhaled a sob, the air burning his throat.

6 ...

A hand massaged her legs reactivated the frozen blood, a painful tingling wrapping around them.

7 ...

8 ...

9 ...

Karamatsu kept counting in Ichimatsu's ear, an enveloping whisper that dimmed the storm that hit the window.

10 ...

The air finally arrived, breathing no longer seemed an impossible task. A trembling inhalation left the body of the purple Matsu.

Karamatsu separated their bodies

The warmth leaving

Was expected

Now that he had gotten rid of his little panic attack, his brother would do whatever he was doing before being forced to help Ichimatsu. The heaviness flooded his chest again.

Ichimatsu hugged himself, returning to the position in which he had been in what appeared to be hours ago.

His heart still jumping every time lightning followed by thunder flooded the room.

He had to calm down

The ghost of his brother's arms was the only thing that kept him on the ground

A hand on his shoulder made him jump

What? Why?

Karamatsu was facing him again, a worried look marked his features. In their hands there were some headphones ... and the mp3 they used when they were little and ...

Oh

Ichimatsu felt relief flooding him, as well as guilt. His brother had gone for him and Ichimatsu had only misunderstood everything.

His eyes itched again

Damn!

Karamatsu knelt silently by his side, looked at Ichimatsu as if asking if he was okay.

That idiot

The fourth brother refrained from jumping into his older brother's lap and just nodded. Karamatsu gave him a small smile, picked him up gently and let him snuggle in his lap

His brother's strong legs wrapped around him, his arms resting between both bodies, his head resting on the shoulder of the blue. Karamatsu gently placed the hearing aids in the minor's ears and played.

A song that both used to hear together flood their ears. The nostalgia tightened his heart but a sense of security made him relax against the body that held him.

The thunder was no longer distinguishable in the minor's ears, his brain only absorbing the warmth and calm that the second major had given him. Not even the shame of being so close to Karamatsu was taken into account, he would only think about it later.

Karamatsu gently stroked her hair and drew patterns on her lower back. His breaths molded as one.

He would return the favor one day, but for now he just snuggled into the arms of his favorite big brother.

Notes:

I was delighted that ichi hated the rain, as opposed to kara who loves it
