Chapter 1
The only things Gabriel remembered from before he awoke in a hospital in Washington with a lethal sword wound (why brother why ) healing on his chest was his name; Gabriel and that he should be dead. Very, very dead. The doctor assigned to him said that there was a very low chance of getting his memories back.
One thing he did find out was that this world was not what it seemed. After all, orange and purple flames are not normal. Though they did not harm him, they did startle him, especially when they started healing the wound on his chest.
At times Gabriel could see wings shadowed behind him. Whenever he saw them he only felt nostalgia and sadness. He guessed they had to do with his past as whenever he tried to think why he had what seemed to be wings a migraine impacted his poor brain.
After he was released from the hospital he was given a small sum of money by the hospital and sent on his way. One of the first things he did was change his name. He had a bad feeling that if he kept it something bad would happen. While traveling and doing random jobs to earn money Gabriel found a love for adrenalin. This led to him joining the circus.
The circus Gabriel joined welcomed him and as he later learned they had connections to the Mafia. While living and moving with the Circo del Sole e Della Luna Gabriel learned to use his Flames and how to fight, though he only needed a touch up on that. He would also occasionally go on missions for his ringleader and fellow actors.
The day before he was set to go on one of these missions an envelope showed up, offering a long term job that would give a lot of money. After showing it to his makeshift family ( Brothers! ? Where are you ? Please don’t leave me alone.) he agreed and traveled to Italy. Though he did promise to leave if he had any bad feelings.
When Gabriel, going by his stage name; Skull, arrived at the arranged meeting place he was one of the first. A long haired chinese man was sitting in the red chair and a man with green hair was sitting in the green chair. Looking at the other chairs, ‘Skull’ decided on the purple chair. From what his family had told him orange users were revered sooo, yea not sitting in that chair.
By the time the others had arrived Gabriel was getting antsy. When he got antsy his family declared a ‘every man for himself’ deal. Either you dealt with an antsy (read Hellion) Gabriel, or you had plenty of candy as a peace offering.
By the time the meeting was half over Gabriel was done. He had been using his performers mask and none of them seemed to have seen through it! Thus when the man in the fedora called him a lackey, practically telling him that he (an archangel ) was beneath him, Gabriel snapped, letting some of his real self through.
“You ever call me weak again Fedora and I will smite your ass .” Gabriel growled as he launched himself over the table faster than (human) eyes could follow, holding a knife to Fedora’s neck. Fedora just smirked and nodded slightly. All of the others noticed what seemed to be wings flickering in and out of existence on his back.
Back in his Skull persona he quickly walked back to his chosen seat as Puffy Hat started talking about how they were now a team and a family and all that shit. As you could tell, Skull was not happy and when she was done talking he got up and made toward the door. He was done with this shit.
“Would you not like to know who you are, Gabriel ?” she asked softly, saying the name too quietly for anyone to hear, making the young man freeze and growl. The growl sounded inhuman and made everyone in the room shiver.
“How do you know that name Luce , no one knows that name.” Skull, no Gabriel growled at the mafia boss. “You will find out if you stay.” Luce hummed, blatantly manipulating the thought to be Cloud. “Fine but be it on your head then.” Gabriel growled threatenly as he stalked to the second floor of the mansion they were in and chose his room.
Gabriel nor Skull had any ill will toward the rest of the Il Presite Sette, just Luce . She rubbed both sides of him the wrong way and set off his instincts. Little did he know, his Sky Flames had reached out to the rest of the seven strongest. Their Flames had reached back almost desperately, well all except Lal. He kept having to stop Luce from forcing a bond on them. He did not think they realized she was manipulating them. They had all seen what she did to him yet they followed her like lambs to a slaughter. She was not strong enough to hold even one of them, much less all of them.
