Chapter 1: Yeah, Science!
Chapter Text
Atomic Circus was not a household name. There were a lot of heroes in Musutafu, but that was just part of the gig. You were relatively new to the scene, not having made a name for yourself, staying mostly to the shadows. Why would you want to be one of the big names? You would constantly have a target on your back and it would interfere with your ability to do your job. You were content. You were efficient. And, just maybe, you were in love.
_______
After graduation, you mostly spent your time doing private investigation work, it didn’t pay particularly well, but it was enough to afford a decent apartment, cat food, and a coffee at your favorite cafe in the mornings. Honestly, the work was boring, mostly consisting of cheating spouses and missing persons who would rather not be found, but it was work. Occasionally you were called in by the police station for stealth missions, but more often to clean up the aftermath of large destructive fights. All of this to say, you were both surprised and excited when you got a call from your old high school. They were hiring and they thought you would be the perfect candidate to interview.
As you approached UA on the day of your interview, you realized you were nervous, but why? You had picked out the perfect outfit the evening before; charcoal grey slacks with a deep maroon blouse which sported a high neck and sleeves that billowed around your wrists, giving you a refined, elegant look. This paired with a matching loose grey vest and blacks heels with gold accents. You also carried a black leather purse, which held your hero suit. You had been an excellent student, even if you were in B class, and most importantly, they had approached you! Surely this was just a formality, right? You couldn’t manage to shake the feeling as you made your way into the building.
Passing by a line of chairs filled by what you assumed were other applicants, you stopped at the main office and were told to proceed towards a conference room you vaguely remembered. As you walked, you took the time to compose yourself. Strength. Confidence. Appeal. Assertiveness. Reaching the door to the room, you paused, repeating the mantra one more time, then entered. The room itself was bright and cheery with large windows that opened out to a view of the school grounds. Distant figures moved across the lawn, most likely students here for summer classes or staff preparing for the new semester. Seated around the oval table were several faculty members, some of whom you recognized, with Principal Nezu at the head. “Ah Miss Ikioi Hassei, Welcome! We’re glad you chose to answer our invitation! We have decided that this year’s new hires should meet with a panel of existing faculty to better assess their abilities to teach and act under intense pressure. I’m sure you’ll be up to the challenge, if you’d please take a seat we can begin the interview process.” You nodded firmly and slid in to the chair he had gestured to at the opposite end of the table. “Thank you sir, I’m honored that you and your staff would extend this invitation to me.” You responded with a cool even confidence that you didn’t quite feel, meeting everyone’s eyes in turn.
You almost weren’t prepared when the questions began, they happened so quickly. It was like being on some kind of quiz show, except the final prize was a job at a prestigious hero school. Each question was more difficult than the last, ranging from yes or no binaries, to general knowledge of subjects, to philosophical morality, and even complex hypothetical scenarios. By the end you were even less confident than the facade you had managed earlier. The very last question didn’t come from Principal Nezu, as you had expected, but rather from a skinny blond you didn’t recognize. His eyes were deep and as he turned to you, you thought he looked unwell. “As a teacher here at UA, what is the one thing would you want your students to learn?” You paused, briefly looking down at your hands in you lap before meeting his gaze again. “I would want them to learn that anyone can be a hero, if they believe in themselves and try hard enough.” He gave a small nod in response and looked towards Nezu, who stood clapping his hands together. “Well, Miss Hassei thank you for the interview. I believe we are all in agreement that we would like to see you in action! Let’s proceed out to the training grounds!”
You changed into your suit in the locker rooms, which were almost the same as when you had been a student, although your suit had changed drastically. It was a skin tight grey number, adorned with black and maroon diamonds, which served as aesthetic and armor. The boots had a decent heel and were the same maroon as the diamonds on the suit. Around your arms were coils of similarly colored fabric that you could direct using your quirk. You also took the time to readjust your fauxhawk, only because you thought it pulled the look together.
You stepped out onto the field to see that three of your interviewers had also changed. The field itself was a large dirt area, about three football fields long, with painted markings, which edged one of the mock cities the school had for training. Nezu stepped forward to explain, “We will begin in a moment, but first your objectives. Your goal is to protect one “civilian” from two separate villains. Eraserhead, will you please take your place in the designated circle as our civilian?” A tired looking man that you vaguely recognized from some of your police work trudged over to his starting point. “Present Mic and Vlad King will attack until you manage to subdue them, they retrieve Eraserhead from his location, or until you move him to the ‘safe house’.” He directed your attention to a platform about two football fields away, which was past the villain’s starting location. You and the villains took to your starting positions, waiting for the call to lay on.
Present Mic was the first to act when Nezu gave the signal. He screamed out a “YEAH” in your direction, which you just managed to dodge, cringing as the echoes hit your ears. While you were distracted, Vlad took off towards you, hulking figure reminding you of a bull. You were ready for his attack when he got to you, seeing that he had started to pool blood while running. You leaped at him but lessened your gravitational pull so you soared up like being on a trampoline, spinning so at your apex you stared down at him and released your capture weapon, wrapping it around his upper arms. You twisted and increased your pull again dropping behind him, swapping your pull to him and lessening it drastically. As he went to turn, he stumbled because his gravity had changed. You used that momentum to swing him around and send him hurtling through the air towards Mic. You dropped your influence on him as he reached the Voice Hero, so the collision would have full impact, but the blond dodged, just barely.
He yelled again, before you could run in to attack. There was no time to dodge and you knew if he hit with full force it would send you flying, so you increased your gravity and friction then covered you ears. It was deafening when it hit you, but your quirk somehow managing to keep you planted. You released it and bolted to the side as soon as he took a breath, then leapt towards him, covering more than half the distance. Vlad was back on his feet by that point and was more wary as he approached, not willing to be tossed like a rag doll again. You eyed both of them, waiting until Mic attacked to somersault over the sound and land squarely on the side of the nearest building.
You were definitely outclassed, outmatched, and had to think fast. Mic relied on his quirk and Vlad to keep you away, but he had to be well trained in hand to hand combat being such a prominent pro. You also had to balance out Vlad who was physically stronger, surprisingly fast, and super effective in close combat. That toss probably wouldn’t work again. You had to take Mic first. Then you saw it. Mic didn’t have directional speakers on the back of his equipment. You grinned and shot forward off the side of the building, landing about 20 feet in front of the two villains. You settled into a low stance waiting to see who would move first. It was Vlad, but he walked forward slowly trying to keep your attention as Mic edged to the side. Your plan would work as long as he stayed between you and Blondie.
You let him get close as the blood came out of his gloves and shot towards you, leaping exactly as you had done before, but letting your capture weapons trail this time. He took the bait and grabbed them, trying to stall your jump as Mic yelled while you were in the air. When the blast hit you, you tightened your weapon around Vlad’s hands and used them as your pull, the force of the sound keeping you in the air. You couldn’t hear the crack over Mic’s attack but you saw the look on Vlad’s face as his support gear broke from the force, and he started to look faint. When Mic noticed he stopped his attack, and you dropped down directly on the weakened Vlad landing a firm kick to his head, knocking him unconscious.
You stalked towards the Voice Hero, slowly circling so that you were lined up with where Eraserhead sat, two football fields behind you. You were close enough to worry your opponent, feinting in, he took the bait yelling out his most powerful attack yet. As it hit, you negated your gravity and friction, jumping so that the force drove you the whole way back to the civilian starting circle. As you dropped in next to Eraserhead, Mic started yelling your way. “Hey Listener, that was pretty clever! You’re gonna have to do better than that to win though!” You grinned his way and waved, then turned to your civilian, sliding an arm around his waist. “Wanna go for a ride?” Not giving him any time to respond, you lessened both your gravities and launched towards the building faces again.
Mic’s Quirk caught the two of you as you landed, so you interposed your body, securing your capture weapon around your companion’s waist and stuck yourselves in place, waiting it out. As he let up you started to glide forward with Eraserhead, directing your pull in against the building and in front of you to create forward momentum while lessening your friction to increase your speed. The two of you shot forward, reaching the end of the current building and launching to the next, just keeping ahead of the sound attacks, until finally you were past the mock villain. As you soared off the last building towards the safe house platform you slowed your fall so that you would land gently, but you could have sworn that Eraserhead held your waist just a little bit tighter as you touched down, winning the match. He looked down at with a small smirk, “Nice job newbie, thanks for the ride.” You couldn’t help it, you blushed.
Chapter 2: New Girl on the Block
Summary:
We learn the results of Ikioi's intense interview!
Notes:
Hi, folks! Thanks for all love! This chapter is short, but kind of a cute way to introduce our girl's personal life.
Neat Fact: UA doesn't stand for anything, but it is a shortened pronunciation of Yuuei, which is hero in Japanese, but flipped (Eiyuu)!
Also, I learned the Japanese mail system ~is so efficient~
Chapter Text
It was just past noon, and Ikioi was sitting on the couch in her apartment, half asleep underneath a pile of blankets. It was several days past the interview, the decisions should have been sent out already. Gentle sunlight was streaming through the windows, and the smell of a late breakfast still lingered. Surely the mail had come by now, it wasn’t worth leaving the couch if it hadn’t though.
-----------
You debated for a moment whether or not to be productive, and just as you found the resolve to roll out of your cocoon, your cat Kilala decided to make herself at home on your lap. This was it, you had to stay now. There is a well known, yet unspoken rule amongst cat owners; you can’t move once your furchild settles down for a nap. You were about to turn on your television to wait out the cuddles, but a bird caught your cat’s attention. She scurried over to the cat tree at the window and started chittering as a sparrow flitted around in a tree just below your window. Cats make such curious sounds. Sighing, you groggily made your move; slipping on a pair of flats to make your way down to the delivery lockers in the lobby of the apartment complex. Down three floors and to the left, you dialed your number in. There was a small package, two envelopes, and a fat flyer from store down the street.
You waited until you were back upstairs before opening anything. You knew what the package was, another toy for Kilala, this one shaped like a dragonfly with crinkly wings and a small bell. You glanced briefly at the flyer, checking for any sales, before tossing it to the side. It was time for the envelopes. You popped open the first, only to find that you were now covered in rainbow glitter. It was an invitation to go to karaoke with some friends from your University, why did they have to use glitter, didn’t they know it was like the herpes of the craft world? You’d deal with it later, you thought, turning your attention to the last envelope. Flipping it over, you took a breath. It was addressed from UA. You tore it open gently, savouring the moment of uncertainty, before pulling out the letter and beginning to read.
Dear Miss Ikioi Hassei,
We at UA are pleased to announce your induction to our staff for the upcoming school year! With your help we will be able to maintain our reputation as the #1 hero school in Japan. Please be ready to report for new staff trainings beginning on ——

Plus Ultra!
Regards,
Principal Nezu
Skimming quickly you squealed with excitement, you were hired! And trainings started next week, so you had a little time to prepare yourself before jumping in head first. Wait, were you ready for this? Oh boy, and some of your coworkers were cute too. Was that even allowed?
You sighed again, this was going to be a trip, for sure.

Chapter Text
It was dark out and a light rain was falling. Mist curled up from the pavement of the empty street and licked across the sides of nearby buildings. In an alleyway, the clang of a trash can being knocked aside echoed. There. They had made a mistake.
___________
You were on patrol and the weather was horrible. It was that slightly muggy evening where cold rain hit hot buildings, making everything a little creepy. A pair of thieves had slipped away from you into the mist earlier, and you were still tracking them, watching from your vantage up on the side of an apartment complex. You were about to call it a lost cause, then you heard the rattle accompanied by a large swirl in the fog of the alley. Quickly, you shot out your capture weapon to the roof across the street, using it like a tight rope to slide to the other side. Peaking over the edge of the roof, you saw it was the couple from earlier. Their bags from the robbery were on the ground and they were latched to each other at the face, completely oblivious. You were a little sad that you had to break up their victory kiss, but this was the perfect opportunity to catch them.
Flipping into the air you shot out your capture weapons which wrapped tightly around the couple and landed on the side of the opposite building. Just as you were about to make a quip about the ‘heat of the moment’ one of the women slipped her jacket and took off down the alley. Your weapon had only caught her empty sleeve. Now you were faced with a problem. Did you leave this woman tied up and alone with the goods while you caught her partner, or did you let her get away? You tightened her restraints and were about to move her to a rooftop when you watched a dark figure drop from the roof at the other end of the alley, blocking off the fleeing woman’s path. She looked terrified, and you weren’t sure whether this was another hero, or just some creep. Suddenly the fog lit up with a dull red glow, and you could see ribbons floating through the air. You gave a soft sigh of relief as you recognised who was helping you.
Meeting each other in the middle, you waited together for the police to pick up your quarry. You chatted a bit before falling into a companionable silence as the rain picked up. By the time the police arrived, all of you were completely soaked. You quickly gave your report and turned to the couple, “Next time you want to go on an exciting date, maybe don’t rob a store, you’ll actually get to enjoy the rest of your evening.” They were loaded into the car and it pulled away slowly. You noticed Eraserhead staring at you. “You’re soaked, do you have to keep working tonight?” You looked at him, “ You’re not any dryer, but no, I’m done for the evening. How about you?” He shook his head, indicating his patrol was also finished. Then you had a thought. Was it too much of a cliche? Would he take you up on the offer? “Hey, my apartment is just a few streets away, would you want to come dry off?” He looked relieved.
The two of you walked up to your door and just as you pushed it open you whipped around. “Shit, I have a cat. You’re not allergic are you? I can bring towels out here for you if you need them.” He smirked at you, “Cats are fine” and brushed past you. Inside, Kilala padded over to the door with a chirp, seeing that you were home. She stood up on her back legs and stretched her paws up so that you’d pick her up, which you did of course. Aizawa gave you a look, which if you’re being honest, wasn’t much different from his regular face. “Do you want to hold her?” You passed him the squirming cat, going to go find the towels to avoid that piercing stare. Man he was hot, and he was good with pussy. Damn it, you really shouldn't think things like that about your coworkers.
As you left the room, you yelled for your Alexa to put on music and vaguely heard it ding on Spotify as you shoved your head into your bathroom closet. Satisfied with your fuzzy pile, you needed to deal with how damp your suit was. Moving in to your bedroom, you realised from the pile at the end of your bed just how long it’s been since you’ve taken the time to do laundry. You rummaged for some clean pajamas, and came up with a pair of hot pink fuzzy shorts and an oversized black sweater, then changed quickly. As you reentered the living room with the towels, you stopped dead in your tracks.
Fear and delight
All the way through the night
With a little daring do
I'll fall in love with you
Oh no. Fuck.
I'm an innocent being seduced by your charms
I'm a young boy tickled to death in your arms
Your kisses taste like bitter almonds
Spotify had started up where you had paused it last. This was your Sinnamon Roll playlist.
Down the black hole of my lust I descend
It's wrong but I want you tonight
Shit.
Why is it that I'm keen to be devoured by you
When there's the option of a love affair that's pure and true
I always choose the dungeon over the sea view
It's wrong but I want you tonight
The song finished up as you handed him a towel. He reluctantly let Kilala slink to the floor, and held eye contact with you. Then the next song started.
“Alexa Stop! Sorry about that.” you new the intro too well to let this one play, it was way too embarrassing. Aizawa held your eyes a little longer before turning around. Shit, you messed up. He started to dry off his hair, then he did something you didn’t expect. He took off his shirt. “That was a good song, why did you stop it?” He paused, “Alexa, continue.”
Ecchi till I die all these lolis call me (senpai)
Rubbing on her thighs she stay wet for her (senpai)
Shawty so kawaii, and would die for her (senpai)
Ride and watch hentai, all the time with (senpai)
Ecchi your ass, this was going to kill you. He turned back to you making eye contact again, but it was different this time. He moved in close to you, looking you up and down, then leaned in, “Do you have something I could change into, my clothes are soaked.” He was so close you could feel him breathing, a damp strand of hair brushed against your neck. “Um, sure. I might have to dig a bit though.” Fuck. The only thing you had that might fit him is the sweater you were wearing. Spinning on your heels you headed back to the bedroom. You grabbed a tank top out of the pile and whipped the sweater off, then you heard a snicker from the door. Turning, you saw Aizawa leaning against the frame, with a smirk on his face. You didn’t even close the goddamn door. Well, weren’t you just a Whole Damn Mess this evening.
You tossed him the sweater, which he caught, and then promptly dropped on the floor. “Did you change your mind? Are my clothes not good enough for you now?” Okay, fake that confidence girl. You can do it. His smirk got a little bigger, “I just like them better on the floor.” He walked towards you slowly, and settled a hand on your hip. Oh shit, okay. You felt yourself lean in to him involuntarily. He pulled you against his body, wrapping a hand into your hair before kissing you. It was heavy and hungry. His fingers grasped at your ass as you two stumbled back on to the bed, still devouring each other. He landed on top of you, knee between your thighs. “Did you know that this is my favourite color?” He slid his thumb under the edge of your shorts, lingering before pulling them down off your hips. Biting your lip, he moved his attention first down to your neck, then to your breasts, working off your bra, and lastly to your bare hips, nibbling the skin along the top of your underwear. He took his time working through your soft spots, warm breath contrasting with hard bites and tender kisses. Everything felt so overwhelming, and so damn good.
You drew in a slow deep breath, taking in his scent. It was warm, like spices, and clean despite having worked in the rain. His skin was still damp against yours and the room was cool. You shivered and saw him grin against your hip. It made you want to squirm under his weight, but your shorts were only pushed to your knees, limiting your movement. You let out a low groan in frustration, which turned to pleasure as he started to rub circles on your clit. You felt a low chuckle against your thigh before you felt his teeth. He was working you up into a frenzy, and you writhed underneath him. You started to feel an orgasm building in your core, your senses heightened. Looking down you saw that he was staring up at you, watching, waiting. His lips parted, about to say something, but all you heard was screeching.
You bolted upright. The sun was just beginning to glare in through your windows, your phone was yelling, and there was no Eraserhead buried between your legs. Mmm, more like EraserBed. Still, it was just a dream. You grabbed your phone and shut off the alarm, looking at the time. You had slept through the first three and were going to be late if you didn’t get your ass out of bed. You groaned, throwing off the covers, and went to look for something to wear to the first day of Staff Training.
As you left your apartment for the day, you said a silent thank you to whoever was listening that Aizawa didn’t have a mind reading Quirk, then made your way to work.
