Chapter Text
1# The Accident
The impact took him by surprise. It’s not that he does not pay attention to the road. After his Shijie and Shidi told him, too many times, to be very careful when he drives because accidents happen really quickly and they would hate to see him hurt. Well Shijie said that, Jiang Cheng has said that he was already a pain in the ass and should make sure that he was not causing any more trouble.
What an adorable little brother.
His head slams into his wheel and he almost lost consciousness. He’s shaking and he feels like crying. This was not his day. Really not. Starting with Madam Yu yelling at him because he could not do a single thing correctly around the house, (But honestly how was he supposed to know that putting the wrong product into the washing machine was going to destroy the damn thing?), and shoving him out of the house.
Then he was late to work, and messed up 3 orders from habitual consumers and Fa Li was, so so, so disappointed in him that she gave him the day off, calling another waiter. He was so going to be fired and Madam Yu was so going to yell at him. Again.
And then that. Ruining his car and the one from a stranger. What a disaster. He just wanted to climb into his bed and never leave it again. Jiang Cheng was going to be furious. He and Madam Yu were going to call the Agency again, to find him a Dom because he could not be left alone. Panic seized him at this though. He didn’t want a Dom, he just wanted to live his life without anyone bossing him around. Was it too much to ask ?
When he was having an existential panic thinking about all that was going to turn out wrong the door of his car flew open and terrified he began to apologize not even looking at the person.
« I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you, I swear !! I’m so sorry!! »
He shyly looked at the person and began to flush. Oh my god. He was staring at a living god. Piercing golden eyes were staring at him, with a bit a disbelieving if he had to guess. The man, was tall, his long brown hair looked so soft and Wei Wuxian just wanted to touch it. He had a white ribbon around his forehead and that was so confusing.
And he looked so so angry. He was so dead. Tears began to fill his eyes and the man became fuzzy.
« Are you listening to me? »
This stopped his internal crisis. He blinked to chase the tears from his eyes and looked at the man. « Yes, Yes I...no, no sorry I...I »
He sighed. Wei Wuxian saw him look for a collar or a ring but he won’t find any of this shit on him ! Proud and independent sub ! ...Who just smashed a car. Way to go.
« Give me your licence. »
Wei Wuxian blinked. « For what?? »
The man just stared at him, like he was a bit stupid. Wei Wuxian feel his cheeks beginning to red under the heavy look. Gosh, he was so intimidating.
« So I can call your Dom. » he answered, seeing that Wei Wuxian was not going to move. « You’re bleeding. You need to go to the hospital. »
Wei Wuxian shook his head, quite strongly. « No no no ! I’m fine, fine ! Never been so fine !! »
He laughed trying to light up the atmosphere. But the man seemed to become more angry. « Look ! I can fill the insurance papers on my own so no need to call someone right?? »
On his licence it was marked, Madam Yu. He could handle it on his own, no need to bring the Dom of the Jiang family. She was going to kill him. So better to deal with an angry Dom than that. He was used to it, with his job as a waiter. Not all Dom were intelligent enough to realise that not all sub liked to be ordered around like they were a piece of shit.
« I don’t care about the insurance. You need to go to the hospital. »
« No, no, no ! I’m fine !! »
The man was really angry this time, but what could he do? Wei Wuxian smiled cheeky at him. « Ne, ne, ne what’s your name? »
The man just sighed again, and began to massage his tempts like he had to most hurting headache.
« Lan Wangji? »
The man turned at the sound of a new voice. Wei Wuxian frowned. He knew this voice. He seemed he heard it a few days ago, at a party, but everything was fuzzy. He could not remember.
He could hear some voice around him, but he was so tired now. He closed his eyes, just for a bit. A little bit. « Wei Wuxian ? »
He opened a little bit his eyes. « Nie Mingjue? »
The older man sighed. « Yes, Wuxian, got again in trouble right? I’m gonna call Jiang Cheng alright? »
Wei Wuxian shook his head. « No no ! I’m alright ! »
But he wanted to go home. So badly. He wanted to sleep and cry and oh. He was going into a sub drop. Oh joy.
« Of course you’re alright with blood on your head and shaking as a leaf. Sure. Wangji can you keep an eye on him while I call his brother? He’s a trouble magnet. »
« Hm. »
Nie Mingjue disappeared from his eyes sight and Wei Wuxian felt so alone until the man came in front of him. He frowned seeing him and Wei Wuxian tried to smile. « What? You do not like my face? I was told it was a pretty face ! »
The man sighed and Wei Wuxian giggled. It was funny to make him do that. « Give me your hand. »
Wei Wuxian smiled at him and gave him his hand. He was feeling better near from the man. « How do you know Nie Mingjue? » he asked.
« Boss. »
Uh? What? His boss. « Then...you’re a cop! »
He crashed his car into a cop’s car. He was so dead. Tears began to fall. The policeman made a terrified face. « Don’t cry ! » he ordered.
Wei Wuxian hiccups. « Yes sir » he said miserably.
The man took his hand and just squeeze it and it was enough to calm Wei Wuxian down. He remember Shijie telling him what to do, if he was having sub drop while no one was around. ‘Deep breath A-Xian, remember to breath.’ So he took deep long breath trying to calm himself.
« Good boy »
He was being patted on the head, and it was so good. He didn’t want this to end. When the hand left his head he whined, loudly. He heard a chuckle and he smiled, was the Dom happy ? Did he make him happy?
« Alright I call his brother, he will be there in 5 minutes or so...Wait. You put him in a stable subdrop? »
« Hm. »
Wei Wuxian pull on his hand, to bring the Dom closer to him, whining. « Wow, I’ve never seen him like that. What did you do? »
« Nothing. He’s just a good boy. »
Yes, Wei Wuxian was a good boy. The best.
