Chapter 1: Friend

Chapter Text

The loud bang of the car door closing made Jimin flinch and the other could care less rightnow. Especially considering how mad Jungkook was rightnow and Jimin just rolled his eyes and buckled his seatbelt

"It's not that serious babe, we were just talking" Jimin tiredly explained but he was yet again met with the harsh silence making him sigh. All this happened because Jimin met his old friend at the restaurant they were eating at, Jungkook was a protective and even possessive one could say when it came to Jimin. Despite the age difference of almost a decade, 9 years to be specific, between them, Jimin always a very understanding and loving man. He understood older's feelings and anger, even though he doesn't need to, he does.

Jimin was a very charming and a good-looking man. He was often considered to be more beautiful than most girls in his campus. He was just 23 and already pursuing MA in performing arts in one of the prestigious university in Seoul. The whispers of his charm and eye smile was there almost every single day. Humble and always forgiving, he always saw good in people and maybe that's why people took advantage of it most of the time, he still didn't see them as bad people, he saw them as people who needed a little help.

Jimin met Jungkook 3 years ago. It was almost funny to think, 20year old charming Jimin was whipped for the stuck up but handsome looking Jungkook who was visiting Jimin's college for an event. Jungkook wasn't very fond of people, he was a real business man and liked keeping conversations short and real. But that didn't work for Jimin, especially when they met again at the park for a morning walk. Jungkook thought Jimin was an annoying kid but Jimin didn't miss that small hidden smiles that used to slip older's lips at something silly Jimin said.

It was one of those drunken nights where people usually say stuffs that doesn't make sense but also does? Because Jungkook offered to be Jimin's sugar daddy, despite Jimin knowing how drunk Jungkook was, he also knew that Jungkook knew what he was talking about. So they agreed. Jungkook used to pay for Jimin's rent and other expenses but after a year of the agreement, Jimin stopped taking money from him. Things had gotten serious and it didn't feel nice to receive money anymore. So Jimin found a job at the local coffee shop and insisted he lived somewhere he can afford, even though Jungkook owned a multi million company.

Now it was two years since they started dating and Jungkook was still as possessive as he was before, Jimin didn't mind. He looked at it as Jungkook's way of showing he cares. It was never extreme, Jungkook would get mad or jealous but he would calm down once he gets some time alone. And that was what was happening rightnow, Jimin had met an old friend at the restaurant they were eating at and the guy was "too touchy" according to Jungkook, hence why he was now mad and not speaking to his boyfriend

"How is Namjoon hyung?" Jimin asked the man driving, Jin. He was Jungkook's right-hand but in the right business. He was a loyal multi talented man. He was an assistant, driver, cook AND a bodyguard to Jungkook and Jimin always felt relieved when he was around.

"He is doing great. He said he misses you though" Jin replied with a soft smile as he drove towards the destination his boss had given

"I missed him too but I'm busy with my studies and so is he with his work. Also tell him I'm coming over tomorrow with my album, I need him to sign it. I might have bought like 10 of them" Jimin giggled and Jin joined in laughing while nodding but the man beside the younger was still sitting silently

"Baby" Jimin said slowly holding his boyfriend's hand but Jungkook just continued looking out the window with no words. So Jimin did what he usually does, leave him alone. He slowly retrieved his hand and for the first time since they left restaurant, Jungkook spoke

"Wasn't he being too touchy for someone who was just a friend?" Jungkook asked finally looking at the younger but Jimin still held same soft expression

"We just hugged to greet eachother and he held my hand because of his habit babe. It's nothing more than that, I promise" Jimin said and Jungkook still looked mad with his jaws clench

"Also, when were you going to tell me that you guys dated back in highschool? When I died?" Jungkook asked sarcastically scoffing

"It wasn't anything serious babe, it was barely a year. We ended in a good note and agreed that we dont like eachother like THAT" Jimin explained

"Should have told Seokjin hyung to kick him out the second he walked over to our table. What decent man would walk over and disturb a dinner date like that? Doesn't he have manners?" Jungkook pointed and Jimin looked at him bewildered

"Baby, why would you kick out a man from his own restaurant? And he just came over because we haven't seen eachother in years, it's not like we were getting back together" Jimin kinda snapped, it wasn't with any ill intention though. He was just tired and didn't feel well for past few days

"Well if I hadn't interrupted, he would have asked you to get back together. I saw the way he looked at you. That man was obviously trying to get you" Jungkook replied looking ahead just to avoid eye contact with his boyfriend, it was suddenly too silent. Jin quietly drove, he was used to seeing his boss getting mad and throwing a tantrum

"Well if you keep acting like this, I might" Jimin said. Now that was a lie and everyone in that car knew it, Jungkook, Jin and Jimin. Jimin just had enough of his boyfriend throwing tantrums like a baby every time any guy gives him attention.

"Seokjin, pull over" Jungkook said coldly, his jaws still clenched and Jimin sighed. Now the last time Jungkook pulled over the car, he had sat there for 30 minutes straight without speaking a word to Jimin until his mind was cleared and then drove them home but today was different, something unexpected

"Get out" he said and Seokjin unbuckled his seatbelt but Jungkook stopped him

"Not you hyung. I'm talking to Jimin. Get out"

"What?" Jimin asked confused. This never happened before, Jungkook sounded so different. No matter how big their fight was, Jungkook never told Jimin to leave. He would never let Jimin even walk five minutes of distance and yet today he was ordering Jimin to get off the car with possibly 45 minutes drive to get to his apartment at midnight. Seokjin looked back at Jungkook shocked at his words and looked back at Jimin who seemed hurt and confused

"I said get out. I want to be alone rightnow" Jungkook said looking outside and seeing vehicles still moving like it was broad daylight. Seoul never slept and maybe it was a good thing.

"Sir-"

"Hyung. It's okay. Don't worry, I'll get home on my own. Goodnight babe, let me know when you get home" Jimin said gathering his scarf and jacket with the backpack he was carrying

Seokjin stared at the younger in worry, it was midnight and freezing cold. He looked back at his boss to find him not even looking towards his boyfriend. Jimin nodded his head with a wave to let the older know he is fine

"Turn the car around, I wanna go home" Jungkook said getting comfortable and closing his eyes to sleep a bit. He was too mad to even realize how sad Jimin looked, or even that Jimin had left his wallet home that day because Jungkook insisted it had no use for the day.
