Thank you for this evocative video. Connie has the most expressive face and eyes. He's especially dashing and dangerous (and wildly romantic) as Jaffar.

  He really was so interesting--always doing so much with not just his emoting, but his whole body, his whole being. I've seen some great Method actors in my time, actors who have completely sunk into their roles, but he brings even that to a whole new level. He just has this energy, this charisma (in the original "spirit gifts" sense) that supercharges his performances. An energy that's spiritual and erotic and majestic all at the same time. Most great actors only manage to bring one of the three--either their emoting or spirituality un-sexes them or, their ego sabotages their majesty and sincerity. But Connie has this amazing gift of being a strong, strong person, yet so sensitive, so receptive, at times vulnerable that it's almost impossible to find that in anyone else, male actors especially. He can be all these things, all these human and sublime things in a surprisingly balanced way. And above all, it's all real when he does it--the most outrageous things become 100% genuine when he becomes possessed by the drama. It really leaves me in awe.
  And Jaffar--*sigh* it's always Jaffar. ❤️

Great video for a fantastic actor. He had presence, he could tell us so much with a single gesture or look. Again, fantastic!

  Thanks; glad you like it! We don't see a lot of actors today who can say so much with their bodies--it really does seem to be a forgotten art. I don't think I've ever seen an actor whose acting is so utterly corporeal, his entire body a channel for what he's trying to express; he makes other actors look stiff and wooden.
