Chapter 2: Red Hot Christmas
Chapter by fandomeggcracker (thewrittennerd)
Chapter Text
Prompt #1: Two people who are secretly romantically interested in one another. They agree to share Christmas dinner together, just as friends, because a family holiday isn’t going to happen and all of their other friends are already busy.
Couple #1: Serena Baldwin && Cooper Barrett
Red Hot Christmas
Serena lifts one slender hand to gently tap on the shoulder of the man who stands bent over a car seat, cooing at an infant child within it. “A-hem,” Serena says to get the man's attention. “Excuse me, sir. I'm hoping you might help me. You see, well…I'm looking for this kind, handsome police detective officer with blue eyes.”
“Kind, handsome and blue eyes? Hmm. He sounds kind of familiar. If I see him, I'll let you know first thing,” Cooper Barrett says in a joking manner.
Serena's laughter – deep, beautiful, angelic – bursts out from her throat and Cooper swears he's never heard anything more surreal. Anything more than what was known as Serena. Her very essence when she walks into a room makes it stop completely as people turn their heads to see who she is. “Well if you do see him, could you pass along a message for me? 'I'm making a Christmas dinner and would love it if one of my dearest friends came along to eat the feast big enough to feed an army'.
Coop lets out a deep chuckle at her slight exaggeration of how big of a feast she's talking about but Serena fixes him with a look and he gulps. Okay so she wasn't kidding about that. “Well he'll be there but what if he wants to come as more than a friend?”
“Then be prepared for a big meal,” Serena says with a flip of her hair before sauntering off to the counter. Coop glances to where she talks to a waitress, accepting the to-go bag in a white color and leaving the Diner.
Come Christmas Eve, Coop finds himself attempting to adjust and loosen the tie Georgie had insisted he wear over to Serena's apartment. Why he had no clue but Georgie said it was to make a good impression and, as he switches hands holding the car seat handle, Coop wonders what he's gotten himself into by developing a crush on someone like Serena Leigh Baldwin. Luckily the door opening to reveal Serena wearing a gorgeous dress in a soft tone of gold that brings out her blonde hair. “W…Wow. You look amazing,” he manages to stutter out, earning himself a bright grin.
“This old number? It's a loan from Tina,” Serena replies, reaching out to help him with the car seat in order to not so subtly bring him into the penthouse apartment.
Hours of laughter – pealing, angelic sounds and deep throat chuckles – and shared memories later, it's replaced by soft grunts and low throaty moans as Serena rubs her clothed groin against Cooper's thigh while one of his large & masculine hands grips her side. His other hand holds her by her spine, the desire spinning them both out of the last of the thread of control; mouths meeting & parting. “I want you,” Cooper expresses. Confesses. His voice hoarse, his lips certain against her own as Serena is dragged forward once more; shivering at the feel of his hands spanning her slender form, caressing up & down.
Serena moans at his touch then gasps as he suddenly stands up with her in his arms, practically sweeping her off her feet before heading toward the stairs leading to the bedrooms. Her hand wildly flails around, grabbing the baby monitor he'd tucked into the car seat to bring it with them. “Good thinking,” Cooper says, pressing his lips hard to Serena's in a brief kiss then continues on his way.

Prompt #2: Character A’s ex will be at the Christmas Party A is attending.
Couple #2: Clare Arnold && Steve Sanders
Christmas Reunion in Beverly Hills
“Can't you, like, un-invite her?” Steve Sanders pleads to his friend Kelly Taylor Walsh, who frowns slightly both at his question and the way that the place setting for the table.
“No, Steve. I can't 'un-invite' her. She's already sent in her RSVP,” Kelly says with another frown as she plucks a couple of the place settings and switches them before moving on to another table.
Steve follows. “Well then can't you block her from the guest list?” he whined.
“Steve! What is your deal about Clare being here? It's not like you're with Janet anymore, you two are just friends,” Kelly says, verbally throwing off his attempts to try to get her to change the guest list. “If you're so adamant about Clare even being here, why don't you just skip the party? Brandon won't care if you aren't here celebrating with us. You're not obligated to be here at all.”
“But you care if I'm here,” Steve objects.
Kelly simply shakes her head. “No, I don't care if you aren't in attendance either, Steve. I'm surrounded by my other friends & family.”
“You're the best, Kel.” Steve kisses her cheek soundly before rushing out of the reception hall where the Christmas event was being held.
“Just remember you'll owe me & Brandon!” Kelly calls after him, shaking her head a second time when he only lifts one hand to wave backward over his shoulder at her. Now she just had to explain to Brandon why Steve wouldn't be in attendance at the party.
Hours of crowded lines at the airport and then one in traffic later, Clare Arnold finally arrives at the Christmas party Kelly had gone all out on with her decorations and table place settings. How Kelly manages to pull it off every year is saying a lot as she is greeted at the door to the event center by the blonde herself, pulled into a hug. “I'm so glad you could make it, Clare.”
“You know me, Kelly; I wouldn't miss it for the world,” Clare says with a soft smile. At her side is a scowling young adult woman and Clare reaches over to gently nudge her. “Sweetheart, this is Kelly Taylor Walsh.”
Kelly tilts her head slightly. “And who is this, Clare?”
“This is my daughter,” Clare responds. And Steve's daughter.
“It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Walsh,” the young woman says with a forced smile.
“You too, and please, call me Kelly. Mrs. Walsh is my mother-in-law,” Kelly tells her. “Clare, can I speak to you in private?” Clare nods and steps off to the side with Kelly. “Clare, were you planning to tell Steve?”
“I found out that I was pregnant hours before the break-up, Kelly, what was I supposed to do? Beg & plead for him to settle down? By the time she was born, he was already with Janet so I thought it was best to keep him in the dark about it,” Clare says with a sigh. “Besides, she's over the age of 20; who am I to keep her from him now? Speaking of the devil, is he even here tonight?”
“No, I let him skip the party though I'm sure he's at home if you want to go see him,” Kelly replies.
Clare nods. “I ought to, to explain this in person.” She waits a beat. “Would you mind making sure that she behaves?”
Kelly nods. “Go.”
Clare rushes out, past a confused Brandon as he walks up to Kelly. “What's that all about?”
“She's going to see Steve. It's a bit of a long story, I'll explain later at home.” Brandon nods and kisses his wife's forehead.
Within a half hour, Clare has arrived at the Sanders' home in Beverly Hills; exiting the cab's rear, she tosses some money at the driver before rushing up the front sidewalk toward the house. Knocking quickly on the door Clare stands back to wait for Steve – or anyone – to answer the knock. Steve, who is watching a sports game on television, groans and gets up to go answer the door; the wind getting knocked out of him at who stood on the other side. “C…what are you doing here?”
“Well since Kelly told me that you ditched her party to stay home, I thought I would do us both a favor and speak to you in person for what I'm about to say,” Clare responds, brushing past him on her way into the house.
“Wait. You can't just come waltzing back into my life after twenty-some years thinking you'll get a second chance,” Steve calls after her, firmly but gently slamming the door behind her.
“Think? I know I'll get one,” Clare says, the tone of her voice firm & unwavering. “It's been that long, Steve. I left to go to Paris. I left you – us – behind.” Her voice gets quieter. “I left behind a piece of my heart.”
“Clare…Oh my sweet, beautiful Clare,” Steve says softly with remorse in his voice's tone, reaching out to pull her close; pressing a kiss to the bridge of her nose.

Prompt #3: “If there’s magic, it’s only because of you.”
Couple #3: Jim Street && Molly Hicks (S.W.A.T. [2017])
Cloud Nine Christmas
Jim Street blinks several times in confusion. “I'm not sure I heard you right.”
“Yes, you did,” Molly Hicks says with a slight huff of breath coming out. “And it's the truth. You may not realize it but we've both brought a little bit of magic to each other, Jimmy. I've brought love & light into your life, and you've brought Cloud 9 to put underneath my feet.”
Her boyfriend blinks again, scrunching up his eyebrows. “Cloud 9?”
“Stop repeating things!” Molly huffs out in her frustration. “Yes, Cloud 9. The moments we have together, I feel like I'm floating high above the treetops.” A gentle but trembling hand moves to the barely visible bump and Street's own hand moves to lay on top of hers. “This is our miracle, Jimmy. Our own little piece of magic,” Molly whispers.
Jim leans forward and lets his forehead rest against Molly's as they sit like this for a few minutes, wondering to himself how he had gotten so lucky to realize Molly's words were the truth: “If there's magic, it's only because of you.”

Prompt #4: You called me at two in the morning insisting that I come over and help you bake Christmas cookies for the party tomorrow because you forgot to make them earlier and now need help AU
Couple #4: Nadine Crowell && Lucky Spencer (General Hospital)
Sweet Tooth Christmas
It really shouldn't have come as any sort of surprise that Nadine Crowell's cell phone would ring in the middle of the night given what she does for a living, but after a few restless nights of staying up with the twins while they were sick with the flu, she'd been living on adrenaline & worry. Reaching out with one arm as best she can, the blonde-haired nurse picks up her cell phone from the nightstand next to her bed; groggily answering. “Hello?”
“Nadine, I know it's late and I really hate to bother you but I need your help,” Lucky's voice comes over the line.
“It's two in the morning, Lucky. What do you need my help with?” Nadine's sleepy voice asks after glancing toward the nightstand alarm clock; Jillian curled around her with deep, even breaths of slumber.
“I'm trying to bake cookies and they're all a disaster,” Lucky finally admits after a few minutes of complete & utter silence over the phone line.
Nadine holds back a groan. “Okay, I'll be over there in a bit,” she finally says before ending the phone call; not leaving him a chance to respond. Carefully getting up without waking Jillian, Nadine pads across the carpet in her bedroom until she's standing in front of her closet. Plucking free a pair of sweatpants and a fresh cotton T-shirt in a heather grey shade, Nadine then tugs free an oversize dark blue hooded sweatshirt; pulling it down over her head. Returning to the bed, her slender hands reach out to gently pluck Jillian up from her spot on the bed; lifting her into her arms. Padding down the hall to the other bedroom in the apartment, Nadine uses her toes to ease it open.
In a matching set of child-size beds, Judas Jasper and James Nathaniel Jacks are fast asleep; deeply lost in their own peaceful slumber. Damn Jax and damn him for choosing a woman that can't stand kids, Nadine thinks to herself. Jax had tried his best to get Rebecca Shaw to get along with all of his kids but it was no use. Josslyn was a terror as a young woman but she was as sweet as could be with her younger sister and brothers.
Heading to Lucky's home on the opposite side of town from where she lives, Nadine rushes to the front door and knocks quickly & gently on it. Lucky opens it no more than a second later, giving her an apologetic smile. “I am so sorry that I woke you up, but I didn't know who else to call.” I certainly wasn't going to call Liz. That ship has sailed.
“It's okay. Do you mind helping me? I had to bring the kids with me,” Nadine says in a sort of rushed tone and Lucky nods, following her to her Honda CR-V. Within a few hours Nadine has taken over Lucky's kitchen, shooing him out to keep an eye on her three kids as they sleep on a pallet in the living room.
Hours after that, Nadine finds herself stirring into a waking state when her cell phone begins ringing again with the alarm she usually sets to get up for the day. Beneath her cheek deep, even breaths are felt and her blue eyes dart quickly to see that she had somehow managed to fall asleep while sprawled out on the couch with Lucky. Gathering her wits, her nail polish covered fingernails reach out to smooth his hair back out of his hair; getting rid of the unruliness of his sleep-induced state. “Mm,” Lucky mumbles, grasping her hand in his and letting it come to rest on his chest.
“Lucky. Wake up,” Nadine calls softly out to him. “It's morning.”
“Sh…darn it. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the time,” Lucky says groggily, moving to carefully sit up and stretch a little where he sits on the couch. “Thanks again for helping me, Nadine. I really do appreciate it, more than you know.”
“It's not a problem. I hope they enjoy the cookies,” Nadine says with a smile.
Chapter 6: Joys of the Holidays
Chapter by fandomeggcracker (thewrittennerd)
Summary:
I was thinking something along the lines of them watching their grandchildren unwrap presents on Christmas day
Chapter Text
Between Baelfire and Gideon, his longing to be a grandfather had been met. His eldest grandson, Henry, helps Gideon with bringing the Christmas presents into the Gold family mansion, making the older man smile to himself. Belle herself stands beside him with a smile also on her face. “We've been blessed, Mr. Gold,” the grey-haired Belle says softly to him, and he turns to her in astonishment. How could she have known what he was thinking in that very moment? “Our very souls are connected, my love, and I know every look on your face.”
“You know me too well, dearie,” a well-aged Rumplestiltskin says with a smile, pulling her closer to his side and pressing a kiss to the side of her head.
Once all of the presents had been carried into the Gold's mansion, all of Gold's grandchildren gather at the base of the extravagantly decorated Christmas tree parked in one corner of the parlor. Henry, the oldest, looks through the presents before his gaze goes to his grandfather. “Grandpa? Will you tell the story about the first Christmas you, Nana, Dad and Uncle Gideon had together?”
Rumplestiltskin chuckles and shifts in the seat of his favorite hardback chair, looking at the gleam of his grandchildren's twinkling eyes, and begins his tale. “It was a day almost as snowy as today…”
“Gideon, no! That's not for you to chew on,” Belle scoldest her youngest son, scooping the crawling toddler up into her arms and carrying him over to where her husband sits with Neal at his side. The two men were laughing at a story that Neal was telling about his wife Emma and son Henry. “Darling, Gideon was about to get after the presents again. I told you to watch him.”
“Sorry, dearie,” Rumplestiltskin says, putting aside his current task of curling the ribbons on the Christmas gifts, and reaching for his youngest son.
Belle smiles and carefully, gently sets Gideon onto his father's lap, watching as the toddler's small hands grab for the now curled ribbon. “No, Gideon,” Belle says, grasping the Christmas gift before he could tear into it.
The boy begins to pout so Neal reaches for his little brother, placing him into his lap instead. “You know, Gideon, I'm going to teach you so much about the joy of Christmas and how it's changed my life.”
Gideon babbles in response to his older brother which makes Belle, now occupying Rumplestiltskin's lap, smile to herself. Neal carefully bounces Gideon on his knee, making the younger of the two babble with laughter.
In the present, Henry turns toward his father. “Did you teach him?”
“You can bet he did,” Gideon replies before Neal can do so. “And now we can both teach the next generation, such as yourself.”
Henry grins. “And I can teach the generation after that.”

Notes:
Whoo boy has it been a hot minute since my last update! I do apologize that it's been a year ago today that I posted the last chapter/one-shot, time just got away from me and I was focusing on some of my other works in progress. Plus this is just a write in December sort of thing and now that I'm on my Christmas/holiday break from work, I can focus on it. I promise to work on the next one in January of 2022 so I will have it done way in advance and not have to worry that there isn't one to post.
Chapter Text
Couples: E.J. DiMera/OFC, Sydney, Sami/Lucas, Nicole/Tony
A Very Salem Christmas Mix-Up
“But I don't want to spend Christmas with Mommy and Lucas, I want to spend it with you and Millie!” Sydney shouts while stomping the wooden bottoms of her Mary Jane flats on the tile floor of the DiMera mansion's living room.
“Sydney Anne DiMera, that is enough out of you,” her father, E.J., says in a firm tone without glancing up from the work spread out before him on the coffee table. Sydney ignores him and continues to stomp her feet, forcing the third eldest of Stefano DiMera's sons (behind identical twins Andre and Tony) to look up from his task at hand. “What could possibly not be fun about spending the holidays with your Mother and Lucas, Sydney?”
“You don't get it and you never will!” Sydney screams before storming from the room, leaving a baffled E.J. behind as she storms her way up the stairs and to her room. The slamming of her door makes E.J. wince before rubbing at his forehead to ward off the impending headache.
Nicole, who'd been hovering out in the mansion's foyer with her husband Tony, keeps him from going into the parlor with a gentle hand on his chest. “Let's give them both a minute before we call in the reinforcements.”
“Then we shall head to Brady's Pub for a bite of brunch, yes?” Tony suggests before Nicole nods and lets him lead her out of the mansion. As they're departing to the car, Nicole sends Sami a text that she can bring Amelia by the mansion.
“I need you, Amelia,” E.J. whispers to himself before feeling the whistle of the wind, which cause the parlor's large patio doors to burst open from the sudden gust. Frowning EJ goes to shut both sets of doors before his nose picks up a familiar scent, whirling around to the other direction to see one of his many ex-wives. “Mel?”
“You know I never did care for that nickname on the account I didn't want to be confused with Melanie Kiriakis, love,” Amelia says as she saunters into the room.
“Not that I'm pleased to see you, darling, but what is it that you're doing back in Salem? Wasn't it you who said you wanted to leave and never look back on small-town life?”
“Is that any way to talk to your ex-wife when she's come all this way to see you?” Amelia says with a slight frown as she removes her leather winter gloves from fingers so slender yet still so feminine and strong.
“I know it isn't me you're here to see, Amelia,” E.J. replies with another frown, watching her as she ventures over to the tray of drinks to pour herself a glass of bourbon. “Sydney won't go to her Mother's and Lucas' home for Christmas because she's hoping to see you.”
“Well it's good that I'm here then,” Amelia says, taking a brief and slow sip of the bourbon in her glass.
E.J. doesn't wait to respond as he strides right up to Amelia until there's no space between them, breathing heavily and creating a warm havoc on her cheek's skin. “We have a lot to discuss, starting with us,” he tells her in a hoarse voice, leaving her little chance to respond before being flung over his shoulder as if Amelia weighs no more than a sack of potatoes.
“Elvis Aaron Banks DiMera, you put me down right now! I mean it, I am not a damsel in distress,” Amelia shouts, fists flailing on the beautiful medium blue suit jacket he's currently wearing but to no avail as he ignores her shouting demands while carrying her from the parlor and up the stairs to the bedroom she used to occupy with him.
“No, you are not, but you are still my wife and we have lots to discuss,” E.J. merely replies to her outcries.
Amelia groans in response, knowing she was getting nowhere fast with him ignoring her demands. “I am not your precious Samantha, Nicole, or Abigail, Elvis DiMera,” she tells him.
“No, my dear, you are just my beautiful Amelia Rose and that's all you need to be,” E.J. says with a light swat of his hand on her bottom. Amelia lets out a slight yelp at this, wondering where he had suddenly become Christian Grey. Or maybe he always had been underneath those expensive suits that he owns.
Finally setting her down beside the bed, E.J. steps around the room; his first stop at the bedroom door to close and latch the lock with a quite loud click that echoes in Amelia's ears around the sound of her own heartbeat thundering in her ears. Her gaze follows E.J. once more as he uses a lighter to light the candles she'd failed to notice, partially because she'd been upside down over his shoulder. “What brought this on, Elvis?”
“A Christmas tantrum from our daughter is all the reminder I really needed this year to realize that I didn't want you to walk away again,” E.J. replies, his fingers already on the verge of trembling and feeling like heavy bullet led as they unfasten each button to his own shirt and his steps lead him back to where Amelia still stands by the bed. The wide sculpture that is his chest comes into view and Amelia, in a self-conscious manner, lowers her gaze to the open toes of her soft suede pumps slash high heels. “Don't be shy with me, Rosie. You can look and touch.”
Lifting one hand that he clasps within his own, E.J. lays it on his bare chest where his heart races. Amelia turns slightly and leans down some to press her lips to the same spot, feeling his soft groan; the rise and fall of his chest an indication that he is very much turned on by just the simple caress from her lips. In a rough manner, Amelia finds her head brought back up as his own head comes crashing down to mold their lips together with threading passion; silk meeting silk with each voracious swirl of their tongues.
It's soon E.J.'s turn to be shy as Amelia tears her lips away from his own in order to move along his strong jaw and the corded veins in his neck, soothing the quick nips from her teeth with gentle swipes of her tongue on his flesh. Wrapping his fingers around a good chunk of her blonde hair, E.J. tugs her away from her task in order to return her foreplay; his other set of fingers working at the two buttons of her Christmas red pantsuit jacket, finally ripping at them when he only manages to fumble in his task.
Amelia takes a step back, relinquishing his hold on her in order to all but rip the ivory silk blouse up the sides of her slender form; leaving her nude from the waist up. “Bloody hell, Rosie, did you dispense of your bra to do me in?”
“Perhaps, perhaps not,” Amelia says in a coy tone, teeth playing with her bottom lip in a gesture that sends all the blood pooling down to E.J.'s groin. With her index finger, the blonde female Australian beckons him to follow as her feet toe off the suede heels; leaving them on the rug set before the edge of his king-size bed in order to sit down on the unmade covers. Her fingers then move to unfasten the black button of her matching red slacks, pushed aside by his own fingers before watching and feeling him lean down to use a deft yet gentle set of teeth to rip it with a loud tearing sound; spitting it out until it clatters on the wooden slats of his bedroom floor. “You'll be sewing that back on, Elvis,” Amelia admonishes him.
“Perhaps, perhaps not,” E.J. throws her words back at her, all but ripping her slacks off of her slender hips and hoisting her up onto the covers until he can join her.
It's then that Amelia notices he is stripped down to his boxer-briefs, his erection rubbing against her bare thigh through the material. But she turns the tables on him by pushing on his chest until Amelia is the one on top of him, straddling his hips. “You will because it's the polite thing to do and because you owe me,” she says before bending down to press soft lips to his. “Merry Christmas, Elvis Aaron Banks DiMera.”
“Merry Christmas indeed, Amelia Rose DiMera,” he whispers in response before clasping her close to him as her deft fingers tug at the waistband of his boxer-briefs in order to pull them down over his hips. E.J. rips her underwear off of her slender form in return and joins them intimately with just one thrust in and one back out then thrusts back in, ripping moan after moan from her throat.
