He never figure out how to transition into giving himself a quirk, but the words came to him as soon as his "childhood friend", Bakugou Katsuki yelled them from the classroom door.
"Why don't you do us all a favor and jump of a roof. Maybe if you pray hard enough you'll get a quirk in your next life worthless Deku!"

As we know "Deku" is a huge hero fan boy, and he has a lot of research on heroes, but what about villains? He apparently doesn't have those, because he didn't want anybody who found his "note" to think he was villainous person. He really worked hard on that story... his perfect life. It had everything there. Since the time he was diagnosed quirkless came his first "episode" with many more to follow. He always changed the details, made them less gruesome, more "child friendly". That wasn't necessary for his "new life", (those he kept in the other two.) And while, yes, he did keep a few details, but never went in deep, kept them light.
He really loved the characters. From his "mother" to even All for One, even if he was possibly a real person, you never knew what was or wasn't if you never searched for it, even if he had it probably won't show up. Even if the characters were based on their real counterparts, like Eraserhead and Present Mic, he still loved them all. Loved the side stories he made with them, the fact that they are helping "Deku" despite the fact that if someone payed attention they might have noticed something extremely unsettling. He gave them life. He hoped that if he was a little stronger, pushed a little longer, he might have that too... but not everything is "Black & White". He lasted 14 years, and those years were filled with pain, heartbreak, and the unsettling understanding that he might as well be a target in a world full of cruelty and unfairness.
He really is sorry. He never wants to leave the people he loves and that he knows that they love him back, be it platonic or romantic.
"I'm sorry to leave you, Hitoshi. I really am, but it's just too much. I hope you achieve whatever dreams you decide to pick after this no matter what"
He really wishes he could back off, to not leave his only friend, his real friend and someone who understands on a personal scale, even if it is not the same. He really wished for something, but that something wasn't a quirk. He just wishes for him to understand, to not hate him for leaving him alone, for leaving him to the hungry, ruthless wolves that revolve around his life.
He has stopped himself many times, made some memories he will always remember, even after death, but he always came back. Always stopped at the edge and asked: "Will I really leave him to suffer alone?" but he stopped asking himself that a while ago. He decided to ditch everything and spend sometime with his friend, his crush... he really wished he confessed, if only to have him know that the story is never truthful, at least its hero counterpart.
"I hope he figures out the hints I gave him today..." Izuku says to himself before sighing, "I really want him to read those or at the very least keep them as a memory"
-I guess today is the day, huh? No more backing out... Nothing else to do...-
"I'm really sorry... I love you, Hitoshi."
Midoriya Izuku never really lived. Hitoshi will always keep the other two and give those Izuku's the love he never got to give the original.
