Chapter Text
Peely was disoriented, his shiny yellow peel pounding in agony. He reached a hand up to rub his throbbing head as he tried to remember what had happened. A vague feeling of being pulled through a straw and an agonizing shooting pain. As Peely looked around he had the sudden realization that he had no clue where he was, a barren rock tunnel surrounded him.
Suddenly a bullet slammed into the rock beside Peely and he squee’d as he quickly hauled himself off the ground and began running, large black doe eyes widened in panic. He didn’t remember entering a battle but here he was being shot at! As he ran he tried to think once more about where he now fled, how had he gotten here!? Had an unknown rival kidnapped and dropped him here? Had he received a head injury and succumbed to amnesia?
Up ahead he could see light, and he hurried to speed up and almost threw himself out of the tunnel quickly flattening himself against the wall. He waited a moment. Footsteps coming closer he hoped his play would actually deceive his attacker; His eyes frantically looked around his surroundings looking for close cover or a weapon. There were a few vehicles scattered around two outward running roads but no sign of any houses or weapons.
The steps were getting closer, no more time to think he readied himself. There! Quickly knocking into his attackers side he placed his arms around their neck in a chokehold, valiantly fighting to keep pressure applied - and was rewarded as the, as he now knew, man finally went limp.
Agent Peely began to search through the man's pockets, finding a few bits of ammo and bandages. On the ground he spotted and grabbed up the man's dropped pistol. At least he had a fighting chance now.
As he looked around he decided it would be best to quickly move on as he could hear distant gunshots coming through the tunnels he had just fled from. He sighed. He could already tell today was just not going to be this Agents day.
He decided to head left in the hopes of finding higher - and potentially safer - ground.
This may have been a mistake Peely decided as from his higher ground he saw no familiar territory but certainly several teams currently finishing up murdering each other below his perch. If this had been a team match, where had his disappeared too? Why had he awoken alone? Had they already been taken out before his… accident for lack of a better term?
Deciding now may not be the best time to think such thoughts peely surveyed the glowing barrier he could see in the distance. It looked odd to Peely, wasn’t the storm circle usually blue? This one was a firey orange-red that glowed ominously in the distance, for now though he took it off his mind.
And then his eyes landed on the enormous fucking dinosaurs. WHERE WAS HE? He had certainly seen odd things in his life but an enormous leviathan of a dinosaur? Absolutely not. Peely decided this must be a fever dream and as such he abruptly about faced and proceeded to carefully skedaddle right back down the mountain although certainly not before eyeing the barrier once more and taking in some of the surroundings for future reference despite this obviously being a dream and not mattering.
