Not all heroes wear capes (ON HIATUS)

Summary:

Alice Wayne grew up in the strong household known as the Wayne/Bat-family. There were ups and downs, but her family's biggest challenge came when a class from Collège Françoise Dupont won the Martha Wayne Foundation Scholarship which allows the school to win a year-long internship at Wayne Enterprises and being able to go to Gotham Acadamy at the same time. Will Alice be able to fight against her past while keeping her new friendships/relationships in one piece?

Notes:

All Arabic and French will be translated through Google translate. I know for a fact that they are probably not right but seeing as I do not know French or Arabic though I do want to learn them. If you do know them please comment and let me know.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Let's begin

Chapter Text

“Master Damian, Miss Alessandra, you should leave now if you do not wish to be late for your classes,” Alfred, the family butler, and honorary grandfather say as he takes our dishes from us, “Master Bruce would also like to remind you both that the foreign exchange students from Collège Françoise Dupont will be attending Gotham Academy starting today. You two need to stay on your best behaviors as you will be the students' first impression of WayneCorp.”

Damian does his signature “Tch” as we both stand up to which I couldn’t help but giggle. He’s always the grumpier out of the two of us, “Of course Grandpa Alfred, I’ll make sure Damian’s on his best behavior.”

Alfred smiles at us before moving into the kitchen, Damian and I then grab our school bags and left for the dreaded day of school that was upon us. Damian got his license as soon as he was 16, so, even though I could also drive, he normally drove and, no matter how fast he drives, it was always done safely which means we always got there in about 15 minutes instead of the normal 20 or 30 that it would take back when Grandpa Alfred would drive us.

With how silent the ride to school normally was, I can’t help but think about when I would get my soul mate, or if I ever would.

“I can hear you thinking from here,” Damian’s voice broke through my thoughts with what sounded like a smirk on his face, “Thinking about your future soulmate again, ‘ukht?” (sister)

Slumping in my seat I sigh and crossed my arms, “I can’t help it, what if I don’t get one? What if I’m alone forever?”

Damian’s smirk turned into a frown, but before he could say anything else we arrived at school and right on time too. Quickly parking, we got out so that we could meet up with the rest of our French class. Even though I don’t really need it since dad, Dick Jason and Tim have all been tutoring me in different languages for years now and Damian grew up speaking different languages since he was a child because of his time in the league.

Once we got out of the car, however, I’m body-slammed and lifted into the air by the one and only Jonathan “Jon” Samuel Kent, resident best friend to Damian, and I, well he’s our only best friend but whatever. Jon is also the son of Clark Kent (Superman) and Lois Lane-Kent (a famous reporter for the Daily Planet in Metropolis) as well as being a superhero like his dad under the name Superboy.

“Alice, Damian! Are you guy’s excited over the new students?” Jon asks smiling happily.

“I am. Damian, on the other hand, not so much,” Jon pulls back making sure that we are back on both feet before letting go, “Are they here yet?”

Jon nods and points over to the bus that was just pulling up. When I look over at Damian, he looked to be deep in thought, so instead of waiting for him to come back to Earth, I grab his arm pulling him along while Jon and I continue to chat. After passing the bus I see a group of 15 students all around our age, some of them are cute, even with our horrible school uniform on. One of them, however, looks like she had sausages hanging from her head with how her hair was tied. Past them, I see our French teacher Mrs. Martin and the rest of our class.

“Bienvenue à tous à l'Université Gotham,” Mrs. Martin greets them with a huge smile on her face before waving Damian and I forward, “Je m'appelle Mme Martian, professeur de français à l'AP. Les élèves qui m'accompagnent seront vos guides dans l'école, donc si vous avez des questions, n'ayez pas peur de les poser. Voici Alice et son frère Damian, nos deux meilleurs élèves. Ils seront associés à Mme Bourgeois et Mme Dupain-Cheng. Aussi à partir de maintenant, nous parlerons anglais, donc si vous avez un problème pour traduire uncertain mot, demandez à votre partenaire.” (Welcome everyone to Gotham University. My name is Mrs. Martin the AP French teacher. The students with me will be your guides around the school, so if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. This is Alice and her brother Damian, our top two students. They will be partnered up with Ms. Bourgeois and Ms. Dupain-Cheng. Also, from here on out we will be speaking English so if you have a problem translating a certain word ask your partner.)

Smiling I wave at the students, “Welcome to Gotham Academy, just as Mrs. Martin said from here on our we will be speaking English so that you guys can become better at speaking and understanding the English language. Damian and I are here to help you guys during your stay here so please ask us for help and don’t mind my brother’s bluntness, that’s just how he is.”

While the students around us laugh a small girl with blueish black hair and bluebell eyes stepped forward along with a tall redheaded teal eye woman in a white pantsuit.

“Thank you for that, I believe I can speak for my whole class when I say that we are happy to be here,” The redheaded woman smiles waving her hand to the girl standing beside her, “My name is Miss. Caline Bustier, and this is our class president Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”

From behind Marinette, I noticed that a girl, with sausage-looking hair, was whispering to a girl with reddish-brown ombre hair and glasses, both of them smirking and giggling which made me frown. Moving to the side slightly, once I saw that our teachers were talking to each other about something, I elbow Jon and, once I knew he was looking at me, I nod over to the girls with a tap to my ear. Jon nods back, then leans down and whispers in my ear.

“The one with sausage hair whispered to the girl with glasses about how Marinette shouldn’t even be the class president because of how much of a bully she is. The one with glasses agreed.”

Humming I close my eyes for a moment before mumbling back, “Keep your eye on them, Jon, I want to know exactly those two meant by that, but I don’t like it. I’ll handle Marinette.”

Behind me, Damian scoffs softly making me turn slightly to see him. He was looking at the girls Jon and I were just talking about, “I doubt such a small girl would be a bully.”

“I agree with you, Damian, but we have to be sure.”

Mrs. Martin then clapped her hands and smile, “Well now that that’s settled, Alice, Damian, I believe it’s time for the tour.”

Giving her my best paparazzi smile, I nodded in agreement. Turning back to the class I waved them forward and began the school tour.

Chapter 2

Notes:

I'm so sorry this part was so slow to come out, I became very busy with my friends as we went on a trip and I had some relationship problems with my now ex-partner. I'm hoping to have a lot more parts out soon but I don't want to promise anything.

I went back to this chapter (even though I just posted it) and realized how I had the translation were placed wasn't going to work so I changed it back to how it was last chapter. If you guys Iike it this way let me know.

Chapter 2

Showing the students around would have been great, however, the girl with sausage hair, whose name I came to find out was Lila Rossi, continued to whisper with the other students and I could tell none of them were paying attention. The only ones who were paying attention were Marinette Dupain-Cheng and her small group of friends, all of them were in the back of the group with the rest of the AP French class.

While Jon and Damian took over the tour, I pull out my phone and open up the group chat the class started this morning once I told them what Jon told me (**I’m basing this on an app called Telegram which my friends and I use that’s why they can @ each other. **):

SimplySam: Is anyone else wondering who the hell this Rossi girl thinks she is?

SimplySam: “I can’t wait for Damiboo to come to pick me up tonight! He’s been asking for my ring size; I think he’s going to propose!”

Summer_Time: Damn Damian, who knew you had a gf from France? 😂

Black_Kitten: Ms. Rossi needs to be taken care of if she keeps this up

Superboy: I’ve been listening to her and her friends,

Superboy: According to her she’s best friends with the batfam and has even helped him stop the Joker. 🙄

Superboy: She’s going to get herself killed if she keeps this up

Nat: Agreed.

Nat: @Ice_Prince, @Black_Kitten, what do we do?

Ice_Prince: Observe and document everything she says and does.

Black_Kitten: Once we have everything, we’ll go to our dad with it and see if we can get a cease-and-desist order against her.

Black_Kitten: @SkyBird, @Summer_Time, I want you both to stay as close as you can to Ms. Rossi and Ms. Césaire since you’re their buddies. Keep us updated with anything else they say and do. I don’t trust them.

Summer_Time: Got it, boss

SkyBird: Ready to break a bitch

Looking up from my phone I saw that we arrived at our classroom making me sigh in relief, turning around I forced a smile onto my face.

“Well, everyone, this is our stop, the AP French classroom,” opening the door I waved them through, “One Paris student per desk please, your buddy will be joining you at that desk shortly.”

As soon as the Paris students had entered the classroom, and the door shut, I turned back to my class with a deep frown. When they all see my face, they nod before we all headed in at sat at our desks:

Seeing that everyone was with their buddies (other than Damian and I) I turned to Mrs. Martin and Ms. Bustier with a bright smile as the two of us took our seats next to our buddies, “Took them on a tour around the school, they are all yours.”

“Thank you, Alice. As always you and Damian are both a great help,” Mrs. Martin says in a joking way as she smiles brightly, then turns to face the rest of the students, “Now everyone, I would like to welcome you once again to Gotham Academy. During your time here we will be working on strengthening the students from Paris’s conversational English and GA’s student’s conversational French. To do this, why don’t you start by getting to know each other?”

Ms. Bustier nodded at Mrs. Martin, “However, my class will speak English while Mrs. Martin's class will be speaking French. Now off you go, learn all about your new friends.”

Chuckling I turn to face the blonde next to me and wow I don’t think I’ve seen a more stunning human in my life. Her blonde hair is like it was made out of honey, with her hair pulled up into a high ponytail, and two wisps of hair framing her face it draws your eyes to her stunning shade of ocean blue eyes.

“Wow, je ne pense pas avoir vu une créature plus étonnante dans ma vie... Vous, Mme Bourgeois, êtes absolument magnifique.” Foot meet mouth. (Wow, I don't think I've seen a more stunning creature in my life...You, Ms. Bourgeois, are absolutely gorgeous.)

Chloé blushes looking away for a second before smiling shyly back at me, “Thank you, Ms. Alice, you are quite good-looking too.”

“Please Mme Bourgois, call me Alice, everyone does.” I couldn’t help but switch back to English for a moment, although I am fluent in French, I tend to switch back to English when I’m nervous which I tend to do in front of new people.

“Then I insist that you call me Chloé.”

Smirking, I leaned closer to her slightly and turned on my flirtatious side (or as Dick would call it, my “Jason Todd” side), “How about I get to call you mine instead?”

Chloé’s blush deepens but she smirks back, “How about a date first?”

“Deal,” I smile back with my face just as brightly red as her. I then cleared my throat when I saw Damian, and Jon watching us with knowing smirks on their faces, “Désolé pour ça, grandir avec quatre frères qui sont tous des flirts ont tendance à me faire flirter si je suis nerveux.” (Sorry about that, growing up with four brothers all of whom are flirts tend to have me flirt if I'm nervous.)

“It’s alright, I’m a natural flirt too. We should be getting back to our task at hand though, don’t you think?”

“Je suis tout à fait d'accord, maintenant comment est la vie à Paris?” I ask leaning away so that I don’t make her uncomfortable. (I totally agree, now how is life in Paris?)

Through talking with Chloé, she told me all about the super-villain known as Hawkmoth who goes after people with strong negative emotions. She talks about how her class seems to be the ones that get targeted the most.

Lowering my voice, I lean closer to her again, “Cela peut sembler une question étrange mais, Lila Rossi, est-elle vraiment intimidée par Marinette? Cela semble difficile à croire.” (This may seem like an odd question but, Lila Rossi, is she being bullied by Marinette? It seems hard to believe.)

Chloé scoffs as she moves closer and whispers back, “Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! All she does is lie. Maribug is an angel compared to that lying fox.”

Before I could ask what she meant by that the bell rang signaling the end of class, “Venez un, nous avons l'Histoire ensuite Oh, ça vous dérange si je repasse en anglais? Je ne suis pas aussi confiant en français qu'en anglais.” (Come on, we have History next. Oh, do you mind if I switch back to English? I'm not as confident in French as I am in English.)

“Sure, I don’t mind, I’m fluent in both since my mother lives in New York so I learned at a young age how to speak English.”

Smiling, I picked up my things then held out my hand to her, “Well, let’s head to our next class, luckily my brother is with Marinette which means we will be seeing a lot of them.”

Chapter 3

As the bell for lunch went off Chloé, Marinette, Damian and I walked off to find the rest of our group. Having Chloé and Marinette in our classes is so much fun, I mean we do listen, but we also can joke around and not get caught while doing it. Once we found the rest of the class, I noticed that there was an extreme amount of tension between the two classes.

“Singh, Thompson,” Damian calls to the closest two to us, “What is the meaning of this?”

As soon as both classes saw us the Paris class looked afraid while our class looked calmer, Adeel Singh, who was closer to us, stepped forward giving us a look of worry which he rarely has, “It’s Rossi again, she started talking shit and got almost every single member of the class in trouble because she wouldn’t stop even when the teachers told her to.”

Frowning, I turn to face the rest of the students, “Want me to talk to her?”

Sky shook her head, “Not the best idea. I tried that and she threatened to have Bruce Wayne sue me for everything I got.”

Damian growls and looks to be about to kill her, but as soon as Marinette placed her hand on his arm, he calmed down extremely fast. Almost too fast for anyone normal. Gasping, I grab Damian’s arm and pull on it slightly to make him look at me.

“hi taw'am ruhak 'alays kadhalk?” I ask in Arabic smiling brightly. (She's your soulmate isn't she?)

Damian’s face went bright red and started to stutter, “nem, la tukhbiruha. 'iinaha tastahiqu 'afdal bkthyr mimaa ymkn 'an 'akunah laha.” (Y-Yes, don't tell her. She deserves so much better than I could ever be for her.)

My smile brightened even more as I switched back to English, “I’m so telling Dick about this!”

“Don’t you dare, Alessandra! Grayson and Todd will be insufferable and you know that.”

“Exactly,” Chuckling, I glance over at Chloé and Marinette as they talk their friends (I believe their names were Nino, Kim, Alix, and Adrien, “If it makes you feel better, we can invite over her friends so that they can help distract our siblings.”

“Deal.”

The smirk on my face disappeared as soon as I turned back to the rest of the class glaring over at Lila, not that she noticed anyway, “For now, we have a problem we must deal with.”

Before I could even walk back over to the group, Lila and her friends decided to walk away towards the cafeteria, making me grumble. Shaking my head, I signal for the others to follow along. After checking that everyone else from Collège Françoise Dupont had their lunch and found a place to eat, I finally sat down with our class, barely missing the lunch tray that Jon got for me when I slammed my head down on the table.

Sighing I try to hit my head a few more times but someone grabs my head and moves it to their shoulder. When I open my eyes, I see that it’s Chloé who’s smiling softly, to which I smile back.

“Hey, Chloé, do you and your friends want to come over for dinner tonight?” I ask slightly, whispering.

Chloé’s eyes widened before slowly nodding, then turning to her friends quickly talking with them. While she does that I move to lean back against Damian and roll up my left sleeve to see I had my soulmate’s name yet, and I did. However, it wasn’t just one name, no…I had three: Chloé Bourgeois , Adrien Agreste, and Jonathan Samuel Kent

“Damian…” He looked down at me as I showed him my arm, “I have three names…”

Jon, who was on the other side of Damian, looked over at my arm as well and his eyes widened along with Damian. Swiftly, Jon took his phone out of his pocket and took a picture of it before sending it to the group chat (making the rest of the table’s phones go off) almost without me even seeing that he did it.

Superboy: Holy shit guys @Black_Kitten got a Soul Tat! Were soul mates and birthday buddies!

Superboy: *my arm with the names “Chloé Bourgeois” which had a little bee and crown next to it, “Jonathan Kent” with his Superboy logo next to it, and “Adrien Agreste” which had a black and green cat paw next to it*

TwinsUnited: Girl thats great! You have 3 SO's!!! ❤️❤️

Black_Kitten: 3 probs Noa

Black_Kitten: 1. Didn’t have any this morn

Black_Kitten: 2. I can’t believe we forgot that today was @Superboy’s bday!

Black_Kitten: 3. My birthday isn’t until the end of the month.

Superman?MoreLikeMyMan: so? you know the stories

Superman?MoreLikeMyMan: if you are older than your SO then you will gain their name once they turn 16

Superman?MoreLikeMyMan: wich means you share your bday with two of your SOs!

Ice_Prince: Thompson is correct. However, if they were to hurt you I can assure you that Grayson and Father will not keep Todd and I from killing them. Their bodies will never be found. That does for you as well Kent.

Detroit_Become_Human: Your ice is showing Damian.

Nat: like normal Den

McBella: Wait! @Ice_Prince, do you have one 2? an SO I mwan

McBella: Mean**

Superboy: He does! I’ve seen it!

Superboy: and don’t worry about it @Black_Kitten, we can celebrate this weekend after the gala

Black_Kitten: So, have I! I would show you guys that pic but Dami would kill me since it looks like a tramp stamp! 😂

“It looks nothing of the sort!” Damian hisses, with such a red face he looks like a tomato, making everyone else in the room look at him funny, “Where did you even acquire a picture of my tattoo?”

Smirking, I pull up said picture and show it to him, “After training the other day, you were changing with Dick, Jason, and Tim when I walked in.”

His back was turned away from me. Thankfully, he was just in his pants for the Robin uniform so if anyone saw it, they wouldn’t think anything of it. Right above the top of his pants is Marinette’s full name with a ladybug and a sewing needle and thread spelling out her name. To the left and right of him, you could see our brothers with their names (Again we are very VERY thankful that they were at least in their boxers and not naked like they normally are when they change). Dick had Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran on his upper back with a green streak under it that looks like her firebolts, Jason, and Tim had each other on the back of their necks. Jason’s name had a pistol and a Shakespeare skull, while Tim’s had a computer and coffee bag.

If Damian’s face could go any brighter, I’m sure it would have, however it couldn’t, and luckily the bell that signaled the end of lunch rang making it so that he couldn’t kill me well not till training. Smiling, I grab Chloé’s hand, “Come on girl, time for math!”

Notes:

Okay I know this is super late (as in months late) BUT I have a good excuse for that! I've had a lot going on in my personal life and then school started about four weeks ago so I kind of forgot about it. And to be completely honest I sort of lost inspiration for this fic. I have about 15 completed chapters done and was in the process of writing the 16th chapter when writer's block hit so hard.
I'll try to publish what I have but I'm not sure if I'll continue after that. If I did then updates will be VERY VERY rare and probably only during the summer or winter breaks.

Chapter 4

To say that the rest of the school day was fun would be like saying that murder is legal and is recommended when you’re angry. After lunch, Chloé and I had math with Ms. Bustier’s and Mrs. Martin’s classes. As the whole French class shared it, Lila would not stop talking, more like lying, the whole time. Luckily, she got in trouble for making fun of Archi’s less than stellar social skills by our math teacher; those in the know that she’s lying couldn’t help but snicker as her face went from bright red to pale in under ten seconds.

Following math was AP English, and man was it interesting. During the class, Marinette actually fell asleep and, when I looked over at her, she appeared to be covered by Damian’s school jacket.

Smirking, I nudged Chloé and pointed over to them. The sound that came from her sounded like millions of soft twinkling bells. It was so soft and captivating, I couldn’t help but allow myself to fall for one of my newly found soul mates.

“I still have no idea how she is able to fall asleep anywhere,” Chloé says, shaking her head fondly as she goes back to the worksheet we were given, “It’s like she doesn’t sleep.”

Frowning slightly, I keep my eyes on Marinette for a movement to take a picture of the two, before sweeping them back to my worksheet, “Maybe she just doesn’t sleep well? Nightmares perhaps?”

Humming Chloé doesn’t say anything else for the rest of the class. Was I right though? Could she be having nightmares after everything that Lila has done to her? I’ll have to talk to the rest of her friends, without Damian, to see if I can help her out.

“Chloé,” I whisper as we walk out of school for the day, “I’m going to trade places with Marinette today. I need to talk to all of you without her being there.”

Nodding Chloé wraps her left arm with my right one and pulls us over to the rest of her friend group. Along the way she whispered, “I thought we were coming to your place tonight?”

I smiled at her and whispered back, “You will, tomorrow, I wanted to talk to your friends first though.”

Once we saw that the only one missing was Marinette I smiled, “Okay guys I need you to sneak me onto the bus without your teacher seeing me AND not to have her ask where Marinette is.”

A tall muscular man with dark roots and blond tips, which makes his gray eyes shine more, nodded his head, “Not a problem, we can just tell Lila that Mari is already on board and we can just get you on now and hide you in the back where we normally sit.”

“How are we going to keep DC from getting on the bus though?” a darker-skinned boy with round black glasses asks as his auburn eyes twinkled in mischief.

Smirking, I pull out my phone, tilting it so that they can still see the screen, “Easy, watch.”

Black_Kitten: Guys I need you all to keep Marinette busy and away from the front of the school until I text you. @Ice_Prince can you take her back to the Manner?

Ice_Prince: You were meant to come back to the manor with Bourgeois, Agreste, and Kent along with the rest of their friends.

Black_Kitten: I know but I noticed something during class.

Black_Kitten: so, I would very much like to talk to my soulmates and their friends before they meet our family.

Ice_Prince: Very well, how will you get home?

Black_Kitten: I'll call either Aunty Ivy or Aunt Harley since I didn’t see them this weekend.

TwinsUnited: I just saw her go to the broom and the liar followed

TwinsUnited: Ill keep an eye on her

SimplySam: Noa lets go

Looking up Chloé and her friend’s eyes were wide, not in fear as I was used to though which surprised me. When our eyes met Chloé smiled gently and held out her hand. Swiftly I was taken on to the bus and tucked into the back corner with two of my soulmates, Adrien Agreste, who had introduced himself once he sat down, and Chloé on either side of me, while the boy with glasses, who said his name was Nino Lahiffe, sat up front with Lila and her court and the muscular guy ( Lê Chiến Kim) sat in front of us with a girl with pink hair and blue eyes (Alix  Kubdel) and a boy also with glasses however his were squarer than Nino’s (Max Kanté). With the rest of the Paris students on the bus, we left the school, and I texted the group letting them know that it was okay for them to let Marinette go. Along the way, Lila and her court were talking loudly at the front of the bus while the rest of us were pretty quiet.

“Hey, Alice,” Adrien whispers to make sure that Lila doesn’t hear us, “In your text, you said Aunty Ivy and Aunt Harley, were you talking about Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy?”

From my other side, I heard Chloé scoff, which made me chuckle, “Of course it's not Adrikins, right Alice?”

Before I could answer her, however, Lila could be heard from the front talking shit again, “Oh I’m so sorry Alya, I promised Harley Quinn I would hang out with her and Catwoman tonight, ever since she and Joker broke up, she’s been really upset.”

“That’s okay girl, but do you think you could get me an interview?” The reddish-brown ombre girl sitting next to Nino, Alya apparently, replies smiling brightly.

“I’ll see what I can do, they are busy women.”

Growling I flick my wrist and allow my hidden knife to fall into my hand. As I go to stand up Adrien and Chloé grab my arms and pull me back down.

“How fucking dare she talk about them like that? Aunt Harley hasn’t even been with Joker since I was like two!” I hissed out as I try to get out of their grips but they’re stronger than I first guessed, “Aunty Ivy and mom would never let her go back to that asshole, ever! She has no right to talk about her!”

“Alice, you need to calm down,” Kim whispers from in front of us, “If you cause a scene then you’ll get us all in trouble.”

Growling, I stopped fighting, pulled out my phone, and called my Aunt Harley.

“Sugar Cube, you, okay?” Aunt Harley’s voice came through without a hello, which made me smile, “You normally don’t call till later.”

“Yeah, I’m okay, Aunt Harley. I was wondering if you and Aunty Ivy would be able to come to pick me up in like an hour or so, I’ll text you the address.”

Aunt Harley didn’t say anything for a moment, when she did it was one of our many codes, “Playdate?” (Date?)

“No, meet up.” (Hanging out with friends.)

“Damian and Jon?”

“I went alone.”

Humming she says something that I don’t catch but I think she’s talking to Aunty Ivy, “Text us the address when you want to be picked up. If you are near a plant look for the puffs. Oh, and Red says hi by the way.”

“Tell her I say hi back,” Taking a deep breath I realize that I had calmed down without having to do my breathing exercises, “I have to go, I’ll text you guys later, love you both.”

“Love you too Sugar Cube.”

Hanging up I slip my knife back into its place, falling back against the seat as I sweep my eyes over the group watching me in surprise, “Sorry about that, Aunt Harley and Aunty Ivy pretty much raised me so I’m really protective over them just as they are for me.”

Chloé shook her head and smiled reassuringly, “Of course Lie-la would lie about someone famous like Harley Quinn. She really is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous and so are the rest of the class if they really believe her.”

“I’ve only been around this class for like 8 hours and I already think they only have one brain cell.”

Those around us that know that Lila is lying laughed at that making me chuckle too. For the rest of the drive, we talked and laughed letting me get to know them. Nino, who loves music and wants to be a DJ when he’s older, he’s also Alya’s Soulmate (who apparently is Lila’s best friend since she dropped Marinette when they were like 14) and, even though she is too blinded by Lila’s stories, he still loves her (which explained why he was sitting up front with her and not with his friends). Kim, on the other hand, is an athlete and loves to make bets and challenges for one of his soul mates, Alix, while their other soul mate, Max, keeps track of all of them while shutting down ideas if he believes they are too dangerous or that it could get them killed.

Adrien is a model for his father’s fashion company, just Lila (I scrunched up my nose at that I mean really how could someone like her be a model?). He was also homeschooled until three years earlier when he ran away from home to try to go to school with Chloé. With the help of Marinette, Nino, Alya, and Chloé, he was able to get more freedom. Everything was fine until Lila showed up last year. According to them, Marinette believes Lila is working (not just as a model like Adrien) for Mr. Agreste, but actually reporting back to him when they are out and about or when they go to Marinette’s parent’s bakery. Because he then either have Adrien picked up early or decreases what he eats during the day. Lastly, Chloé is the daughter of the Mayor of Paris and Style Queen (a fashion designer I think), she was also a one-time superhero.

“Pairs have superheroes?” I raise an eyebrow at her, “How come I haven’t heard of it? My brothers and I are pretty into vigilantes and superheroes, so we’ve ended up keeping track of them all.”

“Chloé’s dad won’t let anyone post about it. Only those that are a part of the local news can and if anyone else does then they get fined.” Alix shakes her head and shrugs, “Only reason Alya can keep her Ladyblog up is that no one out of Paris knows it exists.”

Humming I pull out my phone and hand it to Max, “Mind looking it up for me? I want to show my brothers when I get home.”

He nods and takes my phone. While he does that, I turn to the others around me, “Tell me about them, your heroes I mean.”

Before any of them could, we arrived at the hotel. Smirking, I shake my head, of course, they would be staying at our hotel. Only the best for mine and Damian’s soul mates. Slowly Adrien, Kim, Alix, Max, Chloé, and I made our way off the bus without anyone seeing me. As soon as we made it off, they pulled me up to Chloé’s room (Nino said he would join us after he dropped off Alya at her room).

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Chapter Text

In the ten minutes that we’d been locked in Chloé’s and Marinette’s room, they told me about their different heroes. Not long after that Nino showed up looking angry and also so done with everything. When the door shut behind him, he through his phone to Kim and he started playing music loud enough that if someone was trying to listen in from outside the door, or through the window (like I know my brothers probably would be if it was darker out), then they wouldn’t hear what was being said, yet it wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t hear each other without yelling.

“Nino, you okay?” Adrien asks, placing his hand on Nino’s shoulder.

Nino flops onto the bed next to me, face first, then screams into the bedspread; my eyes widen in surprise but when I looked at the others in the room they don’t seem very bothered by it. We ended up just left him there while we continued talking all about Team Miraculous. How they started, who they’re fighting against, etc.

“Wait, they haven’t called the Justice League yet, have they?” I couldn’t help but ask. I’ve been able to hack the league since I was seven after Barbra and Tim started teaching me at six years old, and I have never seen anything from Ladybug or Chat Noir.

The others shrug.

Adrien spoke up a little timidly, “According to Ladybug she tried but someone named Green Lantern told her to stop bothering them with fake problems.”

Humming I quickly wrote that down in a google doc on my phone so that I wouldn’t forget before putting it down, I then poked Nino’s head to make sure he was still alive, “You still alive over there?”

Nino groans again but did sit up. Once we could see his face, we all laughed. His glasses were skewed, and his face was bright red.

“Lila is going to be the death of mine and Alya’s relationship, I swear dudes and dudettes,” Nino says, frowning so much before turning his head to face me. “We’ll talk about it later, you said you needed to talk to us about DC.”

Sighing, I pull out my phone again, showing them all the pictures of Marinette that I took during our last class.

“She fell asleep during class and Chloé said she has a habit of falling asleep everywhere and anywhere. Do you guys know of any reason she could be so tired? I was thinking she had nightmares, and, from what you just told me, that deepens my theory.”

No one said anything until Kim spoke up, “You don’t think it has anything to do with Lila, do you?”

“We can only hope not,” Chloé says before she turns to face me again, “Lila has threatened all of us, yet she seems to be targeting Mari the most.”

“It could be both though,” Alix’s voice sounded as though she was angry yet upset at the same time. “Nightmares from the Akuma attacks, and being stressed from Lila along with all of her dudes as class representative.”

I grab my computer out of my bag and turn it on. Thankfully, I’m still logged into the Wi-Fi here from my last visit a few weeks ago. I quickly opened up the google doc I created on my phone and started planning.

“So, let’s make a game plan! I can tell you all right now that your buddies will help us in whatever plan we create.”

The Parisians were, once again, surprised with me wanting to help them.

Sighing again I shook my head, “I know what it’s like to get bullied you guys, it sucks ass. So, if I can help someone out then I will. If you don’t want me to get involved, I understand but I do want to help as best as I can.”

“Thank you,” Adrian whispers as he hugs me over Nino, who had flopped down again, “No one has ever said they would help before.”

This time I couldn’t help but smile while hugging him back, “As I said, I know what it’s like. Even though I'm a Wayne, I don’t always act like it; so growing up I got bullied a lot by kids my own age. Besides, no one hurts my family and gets away with it.”

Max, who has been quiet this whole time finally spoke up, “I predict a 100% likelihood that Lila is going down.”

Chuckling, we got to work.

Over the next hour, we began working on a plan to keep Lila away from Marinette as well as expose every single lie that she has ever told, both in Gotham and in Paris. We started with her earliest ones, the ones we would need medical proof for, such as her tendonitis. If she really has it, she will need a doctor’s note in her file at GA even if it didn’t flare-up.

As they continued to tell me more and more of her lies, I couldn’t help but find somewhere just ridiculous:

“She said she saved you from the tissue so that it wouldn’t gouge your eye out…She does know that you wear glasses so even if that was kind of true it’s very unlikely to have really hurt you, right?”

“She saved Jagged Stone's cat from being run over by an airplane? I can tell you now, he’s never had a cat, he’s allergic to them, that's why he doesn’t stay in the manor when he visits anymore!”

“She hangs out with Prince Ali, and helps with his charities? Doesn’t Rose do that same thing?”

“She dated Adrian? Now that one just seems way too stupid to even be true.” (Adrien: It was a forced date…)

“I’m sorry, she has hearing issues?”

There were so many, I had a good three pages filled with notes on her lies. When we were done, I couldn’t help but cover my face with her hands and groan.

“I take it back; your whole class is morons with not even one brain cell.”

The Parisians laughed so hard Kim and Alix fell off their chairs and onto the ground.

Chloé starts rubbing my back while I groan again. After a few moments, I dropped my hands and looked at them all, “We will end her reign of terror if it’s the last thing I do.”

With that said I started to pack everything back up. It’s a good thing I did since the flowers in the vase perked up and sent out puffs of pollen in morse code: Here.

“Ah,” Grabbing my bag I smiled and pointed to the flowers, “My aunts are here.”

Chloé stood up and stretched, “Want me to walk you down?”

Nodding, I held out my hand to Adrian, “Come on pretty boy, you might as well come down with us too.”

Adrien looked confused but did as I said and followed us out of the room. On the way to the elevator, he looks at Chloé and I, even more confused, “Why did I have to come, not that I don’t mind spending time with you two I mean.”

Chuckling, I let go of Chloé’s hand and rolled up my left sleeve showing them my Soul Tattoos. Chloé and Adrien did the same and the smile on their faces made me want to hug and kiss them both. Since Chloé was closer I was able to see what my name looked like on her arm: “Alessandra Martha Jones Quinn-Wayne” with a black cat lying under it next to a larger black cat and a bunch of bats and robins flying around it. I smiled at it, it’s a little ode to my family’s nighttime activities.

The three of us quickly made our way down to the lobby where Aunty Ivy and Aunty Harley were standing, scaring the front desk man and Chloé’s classmates that were down there. Chuckling, I race forward and hug Aunty Ivy tightly.

“I thought I told you both to stay outside?”

Aunt Harley smiles down at me, “Eh, we weren’t doin’ anythin’.”

Shaking my head, I pull away and move back to stand between Chloé and Adrien, “Aunt Harley, Aunty Ivy I would like to introduce two of my soul mates. This is Chloé Bourgeois and Adrien Agreste. Their class won the Martha Wayne Foundation Scholarship.”

Smirking Aunt Harley pulls her bat off her back and points it at them while Aunty Ivy allows plants to crawl up her arms and legs giving my soul mates her evil smile, together they say, “You better not hurt my Sugar Cube/Little Flower. If you do, we will kill you.”

Groaning, I cover my face with both hands for the second time today. I can’t believe they are doing this to me. That’s when a thought came to me, what are my brothers going to do with them and Jon!?

Aunty Ivy then turned to look at me for a moment, “Wait two of them? There’s more?”

I smiled and nodded but before I could say anything else the elevator behind us opened up and a squeal could be heard, “Oh My God, You’re Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy!”

“You must be here to pick up Lila.” Alya then rushes forward, pushing Chloé and I out of the way in her rush to stand in front of my aunts, “Can I get an interview with you two before you go?”

Both of them look confused and when our eyes connected, I just shrugged as if to say It’s up to you. When I caught their nod, I suddenly felt bad for Alya, but when I turned and saw Lila standing behind us with wide eyes, and looking deathly pale, I didn’t feel as bad.

With the help of Adrien, Chloé and I were able to stand up, and move to the side to stand next to Rose, a blonde girl with big blue eyes who was wearing a baby pink dress, and Juleka, a black dyed violet tipped hair girl with bangs that covered the left side of her face while making her red eye that was visible pop, she was also dressed the exact opposite of Rose, and the both of them were holding hands. From there we were able to watch the show.

“Are they really your aunts, Alice?” Rose asks with a shaky voice once we were close enough to them, “They seem scary.”

“Yup, my bio dad is Aunt Harley’s younger brother,” I smirk at her keeping my eyes on my aunts, “They are only scary to those that hurt me or lie, which Lila and Alya have just done.”

Out of the corner of my eye, I was Juleka smirk and shake her head.

In front of us, Alya is still talking while holding up her phone, “Harley Quinn, how are you feeling after your latest break up with the Joker? Did you end it or did he?”

Wincing I went to move forward but Chloé and Adrien, both held me back. When I turned to look at them, they shook their heads.

“Your aunt looks like she’s going to kill Alya,” Chloé says softly leaning against me with a smirk on her face, “I want to see if she does or not.”

“I’ll let this slide for a little bit, but if Aunt Harley does more than yell at her then I’m moving in. I don’t really want either of my aunts to go to Arkham…again.”

Chloé nods into my shoulder, with what feels like a smile on her face. Adrien, on the other hand, looks like he wants to hold me too, but he won’t allow himself to. So, I grab his hand and squeeze it a little bit before pulling Chloé and myself against his side.

I mumble against his shoulder loud enough that they could both hear me but not the others around us, “Never worry about doing something you think I won’t like. If I don’t like it, I’ll tell you, promise. Plus, I love cuddles.”

Adrien chuckles and pulls us closer nuzzling the top of my head, “How are you so small? You’re like the perfect size for us to cuddle with.”

Giggling I pull Chloé closer and nuzzle the space between her shoulder and neck, as I close my eyes, I couldn’t help but grin widely. These two have only been in my life for a little less than 24 hours but I can tell they are as special to me as Jon is, which is really saying something.

“...and for another thing, who the hell is Lila Rossi? We’ve never been to Paris or even out of The United States!” Aunt Harley shouts at Alya as Aunty Ivy makes her way over to us.

“Care to explain what the hell this small child is talking about?” She asks me making me let go of Chloé and Adrien, “She keeps saying that Joker and Harley just recently broke up and that this Lila Rossi girl is meant to meet up with her and Selina for a girl’s night.”

Nodding I explain what Rossi told Césaire, “Apparently she has been friends with Aunt Harley and mom for the last few years and so when they heard she was coming to Gotham they said they would have a girl’s night because Aunt Harley was upset after her latest break up with Joker.”

Aunty Ivy looks angrier than she was beforehand, “say goodbye to your partners, you’ll see them tomorrow at school. We should get Harley out of here before she does something she’ll regret, like hitting them with her bat, repeatedly.”

Making sure I have my stuff, I pull away from them and start to walk away but then I turn around and give them both a kiss on the cheek smiling, “I’ll see you both tomorrow.”

Quickly I walk over to Alya and place my hand on her shoulder and narrow my eyes, “Alya, I can tell you this right now, the Joker and my Aunt Harley haven’t been together for years now. It just isn’t published outside of Gotham News.”

She looked so surprised at that and started shaking her head like she couldn’t believe it.

Sighing, I took a deep breath before giving her an understanding smile, “Listen, Chloé and Adrien said you want to be a journalist when you are older, right?”

Alya shifted her eyes over my shoulder and back to mine a few times then she nodded, “Y-Yeah, Clark Kent and Lois Lane-Kent are my heroes.”

“Well, then let me give you the best advice that they ever gave me, check your sources before posting them. That goes even if they are from people you think are your friends too.” I tighten my grip on her shoulder before letting go, “From the little, the others have told me, and what I have seen, you are a loving girlfriend and insanely protective of those you consider your friends. However, you also seem to be bullheaded, which can be a good thing but can also be a bad thing. So, when I say check your sources I don’t just mean when it comes to journalism, I mean your friends too. People can lie when they think that’s the only way to make friends, or if they think it’ll make them popular. Trust your instincts, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

Alya’s whole body was shaking now but she nodded again. Nodding back I shifted my eyes to Lila, who was still handing by the elevator. She was still pale and kept shifting her eyes between me and my aunts, when our eyes locked, I smiled a knowing smile and waved before we left. And it’s a good thing we did cause right at that moment Marinette showed up with Jason on his bike.

“Wonderland! What are you doing here” Jason asks with his classic smirk, “Hanging out with your soulmates?”

Blushing, I threw my bag at him, which he caught easily, “Shut up JayJay, I don't tease you about your soulmate!” Now it’s Jason’s turn to blush yet he was still able to smirk too.

Aunty Ivy and Aunt Harley, who was watching the whole thing, cracked up from behind me and Aunty Ivy couldn’t help but ask, “Who’s his soulmate, my flower?”

“None of your business Ivy!” He huffs out before turning back to me, “Am I taking you home, Wonderland?”

Smiling, I nod before hugging my aunts and thanking them for coming to pick me up anyway. Then I turned to Marinette and stepped closer to her.

“I hope my brothers didn’t bother me too much. I know Jason and Dick can be a bit much, Tim, though, tends to be a zombie (Cue Jason snickering) when he doesn’t get his coffee.”

Marinette smiled brightly and shook her head, “Your brothers were fine. Damian made sure they didn’t bother us.”

With that, she waved to Jason, thanking him for the ride, and headed inside while I climbed onto the back of his bike, racing off to the Manor.

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Chapter Text

“Hey, we need to call a league meeting when we get home,” I called through the helmet speaker, “I've got some ass to kick and Damian will be joining me, I’m sure.”

“Do you need me there with real or rubber bullets?” Jason replies quickly.

“That completely depends on if you have anything that will gravely injure Hal Jordan.” My anger could be heard through the coms, “That bitch needs to be killed or put out for a while.”

Jason laughs as we pull into the driveway and take our helmets off. As we walk into the house, Grandpa smiles at us and takes our coats before sending us to the dining room where the rest of the family is.

As soon as I walk in, I slam my hand on the table in front of dad and growl, “I am not asking for permission I’m telling you, Jason and I will be killing The Green Lantern named Hal Jordan.”

Dad doesn’t even look up from the paperwork he’s reading as he points to the chair next to him, “Sit down and explain why you are planning to kill Mr. Jordan?”

Sighing I sit down in my spot next to Damian, pull out my phone, and started playing them all the audio recordings I had taken earlier:

“About two years ago Ladybug and Chat Noir showed up when Hawkmoth sent out his very first Akuma; Stoneheart. Stoneheart was Ivan transformed by a purple butterfly which is what we call an Akuma, they are what turns normal people into things like Stoneheart.” Adrien explains.

“What does he want? Do you know?” My voice could be heard asking.

Chloé could be heard scoffing, “He wants their Miraculous. It’s what turns them into Ladybug and Chat Noir. When you combine both of their Miraculous it grants the wearer one wish. When I was Queen Bee, I had the Bee miraculous, it was a hair clip.”

“Are there any other ones? I mean heroes like you, Ladybug, and Chat Noir.”

“Tons, most are part-time heroes or one-time-only heroes,” Nino says.

“I know I asked earlier but the justice league, were they contacted?”

“Yeah, according to Ladybug she tried for about a month or so after the loss of the last guardian, but someone named Green Lantern told them to stop bothering them with fake problems. After that, she didn’t try again.” Kim shouts from the other side of the room, “I swear if I get my hands on him, I’ll ask Chat to Cataclysm him.”

“Ladybug may not like it but I’m sure Chat would do it anyway,” Adrien says.

I paused the audio and pulled up the link that Chloé gave me during the ride to the hotel. I already watched it, so I just sat back and watched my dad and brother’s reactions. At first, they were surprised, then worried, then pissed. I’ve seen them angry but rarely are they pissed, so seeing this is kind of funny. Once the video was over dad handed me my phone back and I shut off the screen staring at dad.

“So, can Jason shoot him?” I ask with my most serious face, “If not Jason then can Damian and I run him through with our katanas?”

Dad sighed running his hand down his face, “No, none of you can kill him. You are lucky we have a meeting tonight in the Cave, we meet in thirty minutes and all of you need to go get ready.”

My brothers and I nod before getting up and leaving the room, well my brothers left the room I stayed behind. Walking back over to dad, I stand on my tippy toes and kiss his cheek before he could get up from his chair (he’s too damn tall otherwise).

“Love you, dad, don’t forget that you are a great father and an even greater man.”

Without waiting for him to say something I walked out of the room and went to the Cave to get ready for the meeting.

Once dressed I sat down on the chair in front of the Bat computer and texted Chloé and Adrien (they gave their numbers to me during our elevator ride down to the lobby).

Black_Kitten: Hey guys, what happened when I left, and Marinette showed up?

Chloé 🐝: Lie-la started talking shit about Mari

Adrien 🐾: Alya was pretty shaken up still, Nino is back with her now

Adrien 🐾: What did you even say to her?

Black_Kitten: Other than telling her to check her sources? Nothing

We continued talking until Dick came over and took my phone out of my hands, “Now who could be texting you so much that you’re smiling?”

“Damn it, Dick,” I shouted, jumping to try and get my phone back, “It’s none of your business! Give me my phone before you end up on the ground!”

Dick just laughed and held my phone up higher and started to read my messages (curse his 5-foot 10 height!). When it was clear I wouldn’t be getting it back, I kicked him in the shin, and when he went to grab his shin, I kicked his other leg out, which ended up with him on the ground groaning. Thankfully, I was able to grab my phone from him before he fell to the ground.

“I told you to give me my phone back,” I said simply before moving to sit on his chest and smirk down at him as I went back to texting Chloé and Adrien.

“Besides Big Bird,” Jason shouts from the other side of the cave as he checks his guns, “You could have just asked me. Our lovely little sister is texting her soul mates, don’t know their names but-”

“Chloé Bourgeois and Adrien Agreste from the Parisians class, along with Jonathan Kent,” Damian interrupts Jason as he inspects his katana for any damage from our last battle with a smirk on his face.

Tim, who is drinking probably his 20th coffee today looked up and gave me the famous Wayne smirk that we all learned how to do during our first month or so living here, “So that’s where you were today? You were with them?”

“So what if I was? Dami brought his home!” I shouted blushing such a bright red that all started laughing except for Damian who was just as red like me.

Luckily, for Damian at least, dad walked into the cave, at that very moment, “Alessandra get off your brother, Dick, we've talked about taking things that don’t belong to you, Jason and Tim stop teasing your siblings. Damian put the katana away, you won’t be needing that during the meeting.”

Seconds later the rest of the Justice League and Superboy (Jon) showed up. As soon as I saw Jon, I ran over to him where he picked me up and shoot us into the air, spinning us around slowly as I hid my face into his chest. Jon, on the other hand, laughed and held me even closer as he lowered us back to the ground.

“My brothers are mean to me,” I say though it’s muffled slightly against his chest, “Make them stop.”

Jon just laughed harder and rubbed my back. Ever since Damian, Jon, and I joined the family business we were close, so, me doing this doesn’t fall out of the norm for Jon and I.

“Omni, Superboy, if you two are done I would like to get this over with,” Dad says in what we call his “Batman voice” as he stands in front of the Bat-Computer.

Pulling away I walk over to my computer, which I had brought down with me and hooked into the main computer, pulling up the videos from the Ladyblog along with the news articles and the actual emails and video messages, from Ladybug and Chat Noir, that Tim was able to find through some quick digging into the trash and spam file.

“May I, Batman?” I ask giving him a smirk.

Dad’s face twitched which I knew meant he was trying not to smile at me, “It is your case, Omni. The floor is yours.”

Turning to face the others, I scanned the room until my eyes landed on Green Lantern. Clearing my throat, I pull up one of the Ladyblog videos and get it ready to play before addressing the original founds of the League.

“Who here has ever heard of the miraculous?” I asked and, when only Wonder Woman raised her hand, I nodded quickly play the video before anyone could ask a question. During the news clip, I watched her reaction and, when Ladybug showed up on the screen, her eyes widened as she snapped her eyes to meet mine. Nodding my head, I saw her stand up straighter and focus on the screen again, suddenly more interested in what was happening than she was before.

Once the video had ended I gave them my “Batman frown” as my siblings and I call it.

“What we just watched is on a blog called the Ladyblog. It was created by a Parisian that is here because of Bruce Wayne’s Martha Wayne Scholarship created after the death of his parents as you all know. This was brought to my attention during my patrol last night when I ran into a member of that class. According to them, Ladybug has asked us several times in the beginning, but they were turned down. EVERY. FUCKING. TIME!” I shouted at the end glaring at Green Lantern, “I had Red Robin find all of the emails and videos from them from back then and I want you all to guess who was the one logged in every time.”

I swept my eyes over them all, landing quickly on Green Lantern again.

Slowly Jon raised his hand, and when I nodded, he answered, “Green Lantern?”

Smiling devilishly, I nod again and touch the tip of my nose with my pointer finger, “Ding Ding Ding! YES! Green Lantern.”

Everyone turned to Green Lantern, making him pale slightly and back up, “You guys don’t honestly believe that those kids are telling the truth, do you? I mean come on! That’s all CGI!”

Wonder Woman stomped up to him and growled, “Have you forgotten, Hal? My mother was a Ladybug. You should have come to me when this was first brought to your attention.”

Green Lantern paled more and looked over to my dad.

“Bats, come on, you’re logical. You’re not believing this, are you?”

Dad stayed silent, just staring at him with his arms crossed. Green Lantern tried to get my brothers and the rest of the league on his side, but, when he saw that he wasn’t able to do that, he sighed and looked at me.

“Alright fine, say it’s real,” he starts crossing his arms glaring at me, “What do you suggest we do?”

“Reach out to them,” I smirked, placing my hands on my hips knowing that I had him where I wanted him. “Explain that what you did was wrong and that the league would like to help.”

“And if they don’t want us going to Paris to help?”

“We stay here and offer whatever help we can from here. Paris is their turf; we won’t get in their way unless they ask us to.”

Superman didn’t seem to like that answer and neither did dad, but they didn’t say anything. Damian, my amazing brother, stepped forward with Jon, and they stood by my side, Damian glaring at the adults daring them to say anything bad about this plan.

Wonder Woman, bless her soul, stepped forward and smiled at me, “Let us begin.”

I couldn’t help but smile back, before telling them the rest of my plan.

Around midnight the rest of the league left and only my family, Superman (Clark Kent) and Jon were left. Sighing I fell against Jon and groaned.

“I have no idea how you guys are able to be in charge, but I don’t ever want to do that again,” I say looking at dad with a pout on my face, “Diana is fucking scary when she mad.”

The rest of the team nodded but then Clark turned to Jon and me, giving us one of his fatherly smiles, “So you are Jon’s Soul Mate.”

“She’s not the only one, dad, we have two more,” Jon replies smiling brightly as holds me tightly and nuzzles the top of my head just as Adrien had done earlier, “They’re from Paris.”

Clark’s smile brightened as he watched the two of us. It was a little weird being affectionate with Jon now that we were soul mates purely because it really shows just how much we already were a match for each other.

“You’ll have come up to the farm during the holidays, Alice, mom, and dad would love to see you again,” Clark turned to face Damian his smile never leaving his face, “You too, Damian.”

“We’ll see if we can slip away,” I reply smiling back, “For now though we should get some sleep, we do still have school in the morning.”

Everyone agreed, most headed off to bed, while the Kents headed back to Metropolis. Tim and I stayed up a while longer talking since I wasn’t tired yet and he was too caffeinated to sleep. So, we went to the biggest living room that doesn’t have a tv in it.

“Hey...Timmy?” I whisper as I look into the fireplace biting my lip, “Do you think everything would have ended up the same way if Emma didn’t die that night?”

Tim was quiet for a moment but when he spoke, I knew he believed every word, “Things would have been different, but I think Ivy and Harley would have gotten you out of there sooner or later. Rather that means that you would have ended up with us right away, later on, or not at all is unknown. What I do know is that I’m happy that you came to live with us, Damian doesn’t act like a brat when you're around and Jason doesn’t fight as much when you go on missions with us.”

Tim looks over at me with a gentle and tired smile, opening his arms and letting me jump into his lap for some tired cuddles, “All I care about is the present and what next great thing you will do for the city and this family.”

Giggling I hugged him tighter before letting him go and standing up, taking his mug as I went. “Best we go to bed now, Timmy. Thank you for staying up with me, I don’t think we do this as much as we used to, but it was fun.”

Tim laughed as he stood up and kissed me on the top of my head, taking our mugs from me, “Go get some sleep, Ace, I’ll take care of the dishes.”

Nodding, I yawn, tell him good night, and head to bed.

On the way to bed, I ran into Damian coming out of the “civilians” training room looking exhausted but happy from his training. Chuckling, I waved to him as I closed my bedroom door and fell asleep.

Chapter Text

The next morning was incredibly hard to function. I didn’t get to bed till at least two in the morning and then I woke up every hour with nightmares. By the time, the fourth nightmare happened, I left my room and climbed into bed with dad, I just wanted to feel some comfort before I had to go deal with the horrible people at my school.

“Sweetie, are you alright?” dad whispers pulling me closer to him so I could nuzzle his chest, “You haven’t climbed in my bed because of a nightmare in years.”

Sighing I closed my eyes and hid my face against his chest making my words come out muffled, “Daddy, I have a bad feeling something is going to go wrong today… But also, what if my soulmates don’t like me? I just met Adrian and Chloé yesterday, they don’t know what I’ve been through. What if once they do know they don’t want me anymore? Would Jon leave me to be with them? What if Mr. Warner was right?”

Dad started rubbing my back and humming a lullaby that he used to sing to me when I first started having these nightmares. For a while, the two of us just laid there together as he tried to get me to relax, when he did talk again, I could tell he was just as upset as I was.

“Let’s unpack that, shall we? For, one thing, Alexander Warner is nothing more than a twisted individual who got what he deserves.” Dad says keeping his tone calm and even but, from living with him for so long, I could also hear the dark undertones in his voice before he sighed and rubbed my back, “Now I didn’t tell you, but about six months after he was sentenced, he was killed by some of Harley and Ivy’s friends that were still in Blackgate.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really. Ivy told me about it when she got word back from an insider. Apparently, they didn’t appreciate him going after someone they consider family.” Mom says as she walks into the bedroom and heads to the closet so that she could get changed into more comfortable clothes.

Dad didn’t pay her any attention other than nodding in confirmation, “For another thing, what bad feeling do you have? Was it like when Selina was hurt?”

I shook my head, “No, it’s more like whoever this is will have more mental and physical challenges in the upcoming days, but I when I tried to get a closer look at them, I couldn’t tell who it was.”

He kissed my temple again as he continued rubbing my back, “Well whoever they are, I know they will be able to get through it as long as they have you by their side.”

Humming I kissed his bare chest before crawling over him and cuddling with mom, who had just joined us in bed after being out all night. Mom, in return, kissed my forehead as well and started purring.

Not too long later, Alfred knocked on the door, while the three of us were talking about why my soulmates will love me, announcing that it was time to get up and that breakfast would be ready shortly.

As soon as Jon saw me when Damian and I pulled into our parking spot, he smiled and handed me a large black coffee before hugging me, “Nightmares again?”

“Every hour.”

Damian walked over to us, rubbed my back after he put his blazer over me, and started talking in Arabic, “lm tandum 'iilaya fi gharfatay hayth 'ant mae waldak wakayl??” (You didn't join me in my room, where you with father and Kyle?)

“Nem, lm 'arghab fi 'iizeajik,” I reply as I close my eyes and lean against Jon more as I try to inhale the coffee fumes, “kan 'abi mstyqzana balfel, wa'umiy ja'at baed waqt lys buaqt tawil.” (Yeah, I didn't want to bother you, besides, dad was already awake, and mom came in not much later.)

Damian shook his head and switched back to English as we were nearing the rest of the school, “I do not care if you did not wish to ‘bother’ me. I am your brother, I promised you I would protect you.”

Smiling, I lean over and kiss his cheek, “I know Dami, I remember.”

“You could have called me,” Jon tightens his hold and nuzzles my neck, “I would have come over for cuddles.”

“I know, but like I just told Damian I didn’t want to bother you either.”

Before he could say anything Chloé called our names, sounding a little panicked as she ran over to us.

“Chloé, what’s up? Is everything okay?” Jon asks with a worried tone as we stopped in front of her.

“Mari’s missing,” she says gasping for breath as she bent over onto her knees so that she could catch it, “She was with the class this morning at breakfast, but when we left, she wasn’t on the bus. We tried telling Miss. Bustier but Lie-la told her that Mari wanted to walk to school, and she believed her! Without even calling her to make sure.”

Sighing I grabbed her hand, “Chlo, calm down. We’ll find her I promise, give me five minutes and we’ll have a search party-ready.”

Chloé nodded, though she was still shaky. I nodded to Damian and Jon as they rushed off to tell our teachers and principal while I called up Aunty Ivy and Aunt Harley for help. Once I explained the situation they agreed to help.

“We’ll start at the hotel, checking every room that she could be locked into,” Aunty Ivy says sounding like she was rushing out of their new apartment, “After that, we’ll follow the route that she could have taken to the school. If we find her, we’ll text you.”

“Thanks, Aunty Ivy. I’ll let you know if we find her first.”

After that I hung up and texted the group chat:

Black_Kitten: CODE YELLOW! Marinette Dupain-Cheng is missing. Miss. Bustier lost one of her students because she believed Miss. Rossi.

Black_Kitten: @Ice_Prince and @Superboy are dealing with the principal and our teachers. I want you to keep an eye and ear out for anything that could incriminate Miss. Rossi as well as anything that could help us find Marinette.

Black_Kitten: This ends NOW! I will not allow her to hurt anyone else.

Heart_of_Stone: On it Ace

Nat: Where was the last place that she was seen?

Black_Kitten: According to one of my SO’s she was last seen at their hotel, the Gotham Hotel, with the class. When they were leaving Miss. Rossi told Miss. Bustier that Marinette had decided to walk to school

Black_Kitten: She didn’t even call Marinette to confirm that she did leave for school

Black_Kitten: My best guess is that she’s locked somewhere in the hotel, so I sent my aunts to check it out

G.Browne: My sister works there, I’ll let her know to keep an eye out for them.

Lani: What should we do here though? Other than watching Rossi today I mean

Ice_Prince: Nothing, we will handle it from here

I go to put my phone in my pocket but stop and pulled it out again and called Tim.

“Timmy, if I give you a phone number how fast can you triangulate it?” I asked right as he answered the phone not even bothering with saying a hello.

“From the cave about a minute, from here at the tower maybe two minutes. Why what’s up?”

“Marinette is missing,” I say quickly before giving him her number which Chloé had just given to me, “We need you to find out where she is.”

“I’m on it, I’ll send you the coordinates as soon as I have them.” Without saying goodbye, he hung up.

Turning to Chloé I grab her hand and smile reassuringly, “We’ll find her, I promise.”

“But what if we don’t find her in time? What if Lila did something horrible to her?” She asks. She then mumbles out in a tone that she probably didn’t think I would hear, “She’s Ladybug, she can’t die, can she?”

“Chlo,” Lowering my voice so that only she could hear what I said next, “I am more than sure that she will be fine, and we will find her alive.”

Chloé’s eyes bored into mine as if searching for something before nodding. As she laid her head on my shoulder, I couldn’t help but ask about Adrien.

“Daddy Agreste told him that while he’s here with the class he’s in charge of keeping the liar safe and alive,” Chloé scoffed and she shocked her head, “Apparently, she told him that Adrien was her soul mate and showed him her leg where it had his name on it but that was it, just his name.”

Scoffing, I pushed her back slightly so that she could look into my eyes, “Do you have his personal number? Mr. Agreste, I mean.”

Frowning, she nodded.

“Great, once we have Marinette back, you, Adrien, Jon, and I will sit down on a facetime with him and show him that the four of us are Soul Mates and that Lila is not.”

Chloé laughed, leaning down, and kissed my cheek. Seconds later my phone went off; it was Tim with the coordinates. Showing it to Chloé I frowned before calling Aunty Ivy, telling her that her phone was at least there. Aunt Harley, who was listening in, went to the coordinates. Not even five seconds later, Aunty Ivy says they found her. She was locked into a room and was in the middle of a panic attack when Aunt Harley found her.

Tightening my grip on Chloé, I let out a sigh and told my aunts to take her back to the manor.

“We’ll join you once we get all of our homework for the week. Damian and I will be bringing some of her class with us, they’ll most likely want to spend the night so can you let grandpa know to make up the den?”

“Of course, Rosebud,” Aunty Ivy says as the sounds of her closing a car door rang through the call, “Harley and I will be staying with her until you get back.”

Quickly saying goodbye, I turned back to Chloé seeing her smile. Without having to say anything she nods, and we both split up, so Chloé went to get her friends and I went to find Damian and Jon.

_____________________________________________________________________

Once I found them, I noticed that Damian was very stiff and that Jon was holding him back. As I got closer, I saw that Lila was in front of them smiling in a sickly-sweet way, like she was flirting with them. Not wanting for them to see me but still wanting to be able to hear them, I slipped behind a set of lockers and pulled out one of my long-range/short-range recording devices. (Tim and I got bored during one of our groundings from Patrol after being hurt.)

“...nette is not going to be here today? I could have sworn I saw her leave the hotel early so that she could walk here,” Lila says her voice dripping with honey and fake concern, “Where could she be?”

Damian growls, “Ya Shar-Moo-Ta! You know exactly where she is!” (You Bitch!)

Jon, the voice of reason when I’m not there, spoke up calmly, “Miss Rossi, Marinette told us about the bullying that you have put her through back in Paris. All we want to know is where you left her. It had to have been back at the hotel since no one saw either of you leaving, just tell us where she is, and we’ll leave you alone.”

“Oh, she has, has she?” Lila’s tone changed at the moment to something darker, almost Joker evil, “Well then I'll tell you this; she deserves everything that I’ve done to her.”

Damian growled again and began to, what sounded like, fight against Jon more. I can tell that Damian is not having it and that he’s about to pull out his knife if I don’t get over there soon. So, keeping the recorder going and switching it to short-range, I moved forward.

“Damian!” I shout before stopping next to them, “Wajudnaha. laqad eadat alan 'iilaa manur mae aleimat harili waeimti ayafi. Tueal yjb 'an nahdur wajibatina almadrasiat lil'usbue thuma yumkinuna alaindimam 'iilayha.” (We found her. She's back at the Manor now with Aunt Harley and Aunty Ivy. Come we must get our homework for the week then we can join her.)

Turning to face Lila I glare at her, “Miss. Rossi, if I find out that you had something to do with Miss. Dupain-Cheng’s disappearance then I will make the rest of your time here a living hell.”

“Is that a threat?” She asks with a raised eyebrow not seeming to understand the importance of Damian or I.

Snarling I lean closer to her and lower my voice enough that I will still be picked up on the recorder and she would be able to hear it too, “That’s a fucking promise bitch. No one hurts my family and gets away with it.”

Turning back to Damian and Jon I growled, “Come on, we have much better things to do than to be around a liar.”

Quickly the three of us left her as she fell to the ground suddenly looking scared. Once we were far enough away Jon turned to me as he shook with laughter. It was at this moment that I also turned off the recorder.

“Did you really have to threaten her?” He asks once he could breathe from laughing so hard.

Shrugging I loop my left arm through Damian’s right and smile brightly, “She’s been an ass to not only our soulmates, Jon, but also Damian’s. I won’t stand for it. Besides, Miss. Rossi doesn’t know who we are, Damian and I never said our last name and I know for a fact that none of our teachers have either.”

Jon shook his head but didn’t say anything. He knew at this point that there was no reason to fight my logic. When we first met, he tried to get Damian to be a better person; to say it didn’t go well is an understatement, I did try to warn him back then, but he didn’t listen.

Moving with a little more passion we hurried off to the office where we found that Chloé had grabbed Nino, Kim, Alix, Max, and Adrien before meeting us. Seeing them there with worry shining in their eyes, I couldn’t help but feel my own worry decrease. Marinette had people she could turn to in times of need, that was good. Stopping in front of the group Adrian and Chloé stepped forward and both of them grabbed my hands in one of theirs along with grabbing Jon’s so that we formed a circle together.

“What took you so long?” Chloé questions with worry laced in her tone.

“It was Lila, wasn’t it,” Adrien’s tone, while worried as well, held an angrier undertone, “Is Marinette really, okay?”

Squeezing their hands, I smile gently and nod. Before I could fully answer their questions, our principal stepped out of her office and looked surprised to see us all there.

“Ms. Wayne, what is the meaning of this?” Principle Maranda Tilling (though everyone just calls her Principal Maranda) asks in complete surprise, “I haven’t called you down here for anything.”

“No,” I said, letting go of my soulmate’s hands, “There is a problem that needs to be dealt with, however, it involves the Paris class.”

Frowning, she stepped aside indicating for us to join her in her office. Ushering us all inside I turned to close the door, only to see that Jon was standing in front of it with it already closed.

Clearing my throat, I moved to stand before Principal Maranda, who was now seated behind her desk, “I am deeply sorry to report that Ms. Dupain-Cheng from Collège Françoise Dupont is currently not on campus because a fellow student locked her in a hotel room where she ended up having a panic attack.”

Her eyes widened as she sat up straighter, “Is she alright?”

I nodded, “She was luckily found by Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn when I called them in with the hope that they could search there since it is forbidden for us to leave campus without a parent present or a parent calling to excuse us. As soon as she was found I instructed them to take her to Wayne manor where our butler Alfred Pennyworth would take care of her until we could leave.”

She took a deep breath and nodded. Lacing her figures together she rested her chin over them, “Am I to assume that you wish to take those here now off campus for the day as well?”

“I would like to take them off for the week; at least Ms. Bourgeois, Mr. Agreste, and Mr. Kent seeing as they are my soulmates while Ms. Dupain-Cheng is Damian’s.”

Principle Maranda humming while closing her eyes, only to then open them again, “I will allow this; however, you must get their parents to agree it is as well. And from what I’ve heard Mr. Agreste is not known to allow his son many things.”

Smirking, I placed my hands on my hips, “When has that ever stopped me?”

She laughed at that, waving off the others’ (aside from Jon and Damian) concerned looks, “You have one hour to get it done. If you cannot get their parents a go-head in that time frame, I can only allow you and Mr. Wayne out for the day, is that understood, Ms. Wayne?”

“Yes ma’am.”

Notes:

When Damian says "Ya Shar-Moo-Ta" it actually does mean "you bitch" which I found historical.

Chapter Text

While the five from Collège Françoise Dupont, and Jon, called their parents, Damian and I went to each of our teachers to get the homework for the week as well as setting up times for us to take any tests or quizzes we would miss. By the time we made it back to the office, everyone, but Adrien, had gotten permission. Apparently, his father didn’t believe that Adrien had other soulmates other than Lila Rossi. When I heard that I couldn’t help but sneer at her name.

Quickly I took Adrien’s phone began talking to Mr. Agreste senior.

“Bon après-midi, monsieur Agreste. Je m'appelle Alessandra Martha Jones Quinn-Wayne, je suis l'une des âmes sœurs de votre fils.” I said in complete politeness that dad and grandpa Alfred taught me when I first started living with them. (Good afternoon Mr. Agreste. My name is Alessandra Martha Jones Quinn-Wayne, I'm one of your sons’ soulmates.)

“Mme Jones Quinn-Wayne, je ne sais pas ce que mon idiot de fils vous a payé, mais sa véritable âme sœur m'a appelé, m'avertissant que quelqu'un pourrait essayer de dire qu'il est son âme sœur.” Mr. Agreste replies sounding so done with his life that he almost didn’t sound like a parent. (Ms. Jones Quinn-Wayne, I do not know what my idiot of a son has paid you, but his real soulmate has called me, warning me that someone might try and say they are his soulmate.)

Growling lowly, I couldn’t help but have a glare on my face as I paced back and forth, “M. Agreste, je vous assure que mon tatouage d'âme soeur est la vraie chose. Si vous pouvez changer de mode vidéo, je peux vous montrer avec les autres âmes sœurs de votre fils.” (Mr. Agreste, I assure you that my soulmate tattoo is the real thing. If you can switch the video mode, I can show you along with your son's other soulmates.)

Thankfully, he agreed. So, handing the phone to Damian, Chloé, Jon, Adrien and I stood together and lifted our left arms that all had each other’s names. The look on his face was amazing. Mr. Agreste looked so surprised yet as soon as he saw the smirk on my face his own went back to being blank.

“It appears that Ms. Rossi was untruthful in her claims. I apologize for believing her.” He says in a heavy French accent.

“Does this mean you permit Adrien to take a week off of school then?” Jon asks unsurely.

Mr. Agreste’s face darkened when he shifted his eyes to Jon’s, “I said no such thing.”

Sighing, I took the phone back from Damian, “Mr. Agreste, I can personally assure you that Adrien will not fall behind in his studies. My brother and I have already collected all the homework for the week, as well as rescheduled any and all quizzes that we will be having this week for the day we get back. Our teachers will also be sending us the lectures so that we do not fall behind.”

For a moment he studied my face before he sighed, “Very well. If he gets anything lower than 95% on all assignments and exams during this week, I will have him come back to France.”

“We completely understand, thank you, sir.”

He then hung up without another word.

Sighing I handed Adrien his phone back and covered my face with my hands groaning, those around me laughed. Suddenly muscular arms were wrapped around me, and I know for a fact they were not Jon’s or Damian’s; when I lifted my head, I saw that it was Adrien.

“Thank you, Alice,” he whispered in my ear, “Thank you so much for talking to him.”

I couldn’t help but shake my head as I wrapped my arms around him in return, “Don’t worry about it, you’re my soulmate after all and I would do anything for family.”

Once he let me go, I smiled at him and touched his cheek before turning to the rest of the group, “Did everyone get the okay to leave?”

They all nodded.

“Great, did anyone call Marinette’s parents?”

“I did, they agreed to let her out for the week as long as she stayed somewhere else.” Chloé says before biting her lip and playing with the end of her skirt, “I hope it’s alright, but I said that your dad already agreed to her staying at the manor.”

Looking over at Damian I saw the smirk on his face making me laugh, “How long do you think it’ll take dad to notice she’s not one of his own?”

Damian only shrugged, which made me laugh hard and for Jon to shake his head while the others watched us in confusion.

When we finally stopped laughing, I smiled at the group, “Come on, we need to leave and collect Marinette’s things from the Hotel before heading back to the manor.”

______________________________________________________________________________

As soon as we made it back to the Manor, Damian, Chloé, and Adrien rushed inside while the rest of us carried in all the schoolwork and Marinette’s bags.

“Mari-Bug!” Chloé calls as she quickly follows Damian and Adrien into the house, “Guess what?”

Marinette, who was sitting on the couch with Aunt Harley in the Den, looked up surprised to see us there as well as jumped slightly when Adrien rushed over to her holding her tightly. Once she knew it was Adrien she relaxed and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. While this was all happening, I thanked my aunts for their help with a promise that I would try to be over this weekend so that they can really get to know my soulmates.

“What are you guys doing here? Shouldn’t you be in school?” She asks softly, still looking pretty shaken up as her mascara was running down her face from her panic attack cries.

Instead of answering, I sat down in the chair across from her, channeling my inner Damian, I gave our guests a blank look, “The real question Miss. Dupain-Cheng is another matter entirely.”

Damian, upon hearing my tone of voice, turned to look at me from his place standing near his soulmate while her friends were all hugging her, “Madha taeni akhty?” (What are you implying sister?)

“‘Iinaha mithlina, Damian, hamiatan, 'aw hyruyn 'iidha kunt targhab fi dhalik,'' I reply glancing at him before switching back to English, “One of the ones from Paris.” (She's like us, Damian, a vigilante, or heroin if you would like.)

The Parisians froze when I switched back from Arabic to English. From their looks, I knew they were all involved. I shook my head slowly, I can’t believe my Soul Mates were fighting something that they shouldn’t have to, not for as long as they have been.

Without taking my eyes off of Marinette I sigh, “You are all involved, aren’t you?”

Narrowing his eyes Adrien glared at me, “What are you trying to get at, Alice?”

“Chat Noir, Ladybug, Carapace, Honeybee, King Money, Pegasus, and Bunnyx,” I point to each of the heroes in front of me, “You are all the heroes of Paris.”

Adrien growled as he stomped forward before, I even finished my sentence and lifted me by my shirt so that we were eye level. Without even realizing it, I froze and started shaking as tears appeared in my eyes. Was he going to punch me? Did they hate me now because I said their hero names out loud?

I continued to shake in his grip and my mind sent me back to all those times Emma would beat me as a child. As I stared into his eyes, I could see the fear and anger there, there was no love at all. Mr. Warner was right…no one would love me… Jon probably hates me too because of this.

“Let her go, Agreste,” Damian growls out from behind him and what sounds like his katana being taken out of its sheath, “and I won’t run you through.”

“Damian,” I whisper, trying to keep my voice even, though by the way Adrien stiffened I could tell that it didn’t work, “I deserve everything and anything they do to me for spilling their secret.”

Although I said it was fine, Jon and Damian, apparently, both didn’t agree with me. They pulled Adrien away from me, Damian pushing him away holding out his katana between them, while Jon wrapped his arms around me whispering that I’m safe and to follow his breaths. Shakily I did as he said and, after a few moments, I was able to calm down enough to talk to them again.

“I’m sorry…” I mumbled out as I wrapped my arms around myself all while not looking at the other people in the room, “I have a habit of just telling people whatever lead I have without thinking it through first.”

Someone slowly walks closer but stops for a moment before coming closer. Once they were kneeling on the ground in front of me, I lifted my head to see that it was Chloé. She then placed a hand on the cheek that Jon wasn’t nuzzling, “How did you figure it out?”

I reached out to her, but before our hands touched, I pulled back placing them back onto my lap, “Earlier you said, ‘She’s Ladybug, she can’t die, can she?’ and it just clicked. If Marinette was Ladybug, then Adrien was Chat Noir, Nino was Carapace, you were Honeybee, Kim was King Monkey, Max was Pegasus, and Alix was Bunnyx. You all match physically, like your eye colors, hair, and height.”

“How?” Marinette asks in a gentle but commanding voice, “How were you able to see through the Miraculous?”

“I don’t know.” I answered honestly playing with the bracelet that I’ve always worn, “I really don’t. In all honesty, I didn’t even know about you guys until last night when you guys told me about what was happening in Pairs. No one outside of Paris knows about Hawkmoth, I think.”

No one said anything, but Damian did lower his katana. Adrien quickly went over to Marinette, where Nino, Alix, and Kim were, whispering together while Max was typing on his phone just behind them. Chloé was still kneeling in front of Jon and I before I smiled sadly at her and nodded, she deserved to be with her team. While she went back to her team, Damian joined Jon and I on the couch that Jon moved us to after taking me from Adrien.

“You really are the best out of all the bats, huh?” Jon whispers in awe, “And you aren’t even really a bat!”

I lean against Jon more and whisper back, “Dad did say Cassie, Timmy, and I are the best in the detective aspect of the job. Though mom and JayJay are pretty good too.”

Damian was about to say something when suddenly we heard the others in the room yelp and a thump. When we turned around, we saw Cass standing over Adrien with a knife against his throat.

Sighing I tried to stand up and would have fallen if it wasn’t for Jon and Damian holding me up, “Cassie, let him go, it’s okay!”

Cass looked up, narrowing her eyes at me, “made you cry.”

“No,” I start to say but one look at Damian and Jon made me retract it with a roll of my eyes, “Well yes, okay he did but I started it. It’s my fault, Cassie.”

Not happy with that answer Cass pressed the knife against him more just enough that if she pushed anymore, she would draw blood.

“Damn it, Cassandra! He’s my soulmate!”

That got her to stop and dropped the knife on the ground, but she stayed on top of him as she looked up at me, “Jon?”

“Jon too, I have three.”

Nodding slowly Cass got up and wrapped her arms around me, “Sorry.”

I just shook my head and wrapped my arms around her neck hugging her tightly. Once she let me go, I fell back into Jon’s arms and nuzzled his chest (Cass jumped onto the back on the couch and laid her arms across the top of Jon’s head) before looking at the others.

“Sorry about her. Between everyone in the family, she, our older brother Jason, and Damian are the most protective over me.” I smile gently, “I swear she’s a sweet person when you get to know her.”

They nod slowly as if scared of her which made Damian chuckle.

Marinette stood up and walked over shakily making Jon tighten his grip on me, “Can we trust you with our identities?”

Pulling away from Jon I stood up again, though Jon had to keep his hand on my hips (which made my whole body heat up because of his extra body heat) to keep me standing again, “Yes.”

Marinette nodded and held out her hand, but Max spoke up, making her pause, “How do we know you aren’t going to just turn around and tell someone?”

“I wouldn’t do that to my family. But also, have any of you heard of equivalent exchange?” I declared without taking my eyes off my future sister-in-law.

Everyone but Jon, Cassie, and Adrien looked confused.

“Adrien, do you want to explain what it is?”

The blonde boy looked so excited as he nodded, “Equivalent Exchange is the principle that limits alchemy's infinite potential. It's a simple concept: something cannot be created from nothing, and so in order to obtain something, something else of equal value must be lost.”

Max’s face lit up while the others still looked confused and Kim questioned, “In other words, something of equal value must be shared?”

Marinette looked at me even more confused which just made me smirk more.

Chapter 9: Chapte

Chapter Text

“Have any of you ever heard of Omni, Catwoman’s Kit?”

Everyone who didn’t already know had wide eyes and Nino even went a little pale. Laughing I turned to face Damian, who was sitting on the other side of me; from this position, I could see the little smirk on his face. I then turned back to the others.

“You-You’re Omni?” Adrien asked in shock and once he got a nod from me, he continued, “You’re one of the most feared vigilantes, outside of Batman and Black Bat of course!”

Smiling, I just shook my head again, “Nah I think Robin or Red Hood would be better. I mean Red Hood does kill.”

Damian scoffed while Jon and Cassie shook their heads, all three of them have smiles on their faces though. Deciding that I have been standing for far too long after an attack I sat down on Jon’s lap and cuddled closer to his chest, Marinette went back to her friends.

“How long have you been Omni?” Chloé asks with wide eyes.

Shrugging, I turned to Cass, “Do you remember?”

“Tokyo.”

“That’s right,” I hummed, “You and Steph were rarely home back then.”

“You started when you were ten years old, Miss Alessandra,” Grandpa Alfred says from the doorway holding a platter of cookies and hot cocoa, “Only a few months before Master Damian came to live with us.”

Nodding, I took the mug from him with a smile, “How’d you know?”

Grandpa Alfred smiled as well, “I know everything.” Before he left again.

Giggling, I take a sip of cocoa and close my eyes. Ever since I came to live here all those years ago, and I had a panic attack or a bad enough nightmare while the rest were patrolling, he would bring me into the kitchen and make hot cocoa for me while I told him about whatever set me off or whatever the dream was about if I remembered. Now Damian tends to join us, or it would just be me and Damian, and when Jon started to spend more time here, he joined too.

For a while no one said anything, just sat down and drank their cocoa. All of that changed when Jason came in through the window in his Red Hood garb, followed by Roy and Kori. Sighing, I handed Jon my mug and stood up (slowly of course since I didn’t want to fall again) and walked over to the three of them with Damian and Cass by my side.

“What happened to going through the cave, huh?” I hiss at him as I pull him into a seated position, “I mean really, Grandpa is going to be pissed that he has to clean up again; it’s a pain to get the glass, and blood, out of the carpet.”

Jason didn’t say anything, just leaned against me more, Roy, on the other hand, looked sheepish.

“Sorry, A, didn’t mean it. Hood forgot his bike back at the hideout so we couldn’t get into the Cave.”

Raising an eyebrow, I pointed in the direction of the front door.

“Front door is always unlocked, Arsenal, or, you know, call for backup. Red Robin tends to be in the Cave more often than not if he’s not at the office.”

Kori smiles at me gently as Cass helps her into a chair nearby, “Bruce called and told us what happened at school today. Jason figured it would be better to not bother you or Damian.”

“I don’t care what my dad says, call if you guys need help,” I go to take off Jason’s helmet when I see the reflection of the others in the room. Whenever it always comes to Jason being hurt, I always worry more about him rather than anyone else is in the room, so I tend to forget about what is happening around me.

Turning around I sigh, “Alright, well there’s really no point in hiding this all from you anyway since we’re going to be family one way or another, so follow me.”

Instead of taking his helmet off, I turned to Jon and pointed to the door before pointing back to Jason. Jon nodded, grabbing Jason so that I could stand up slowly. From there I gestured for everyone to follow me. Moving from the Den, we make our way up to dad’s office where the grandfather clock is, unlocking it with ease. When I looked back, before we walked down the stairs, I saw that Adrien had moved to help Jon carry Jason, even though he didn’t need the help. Chuckling, I lead the group down the main flights of stairs. When we got to the end, I saw Dick training with his enigma sticks.

“Hey Dick,” I called as soon as I got close to the bottom of the stairs, “We need a little help here!”

Dick looked over at us and his eyes widened at the large group with me as he rushed over to Kori and I, “Ally, Kori, what’s going on? Is everyone alright?”

“Everyone but JayJay, Roy, and Kori,” I ignored his first question as I dash over to the medical section of the cave, “They came through the Den windows, grandpa isn’t going to be happy about all the glass and blood on the carpet again.”

Dick sighs and grabs Kori from Cass, whispering to her. With Cass now free she helps me get out the other stretchers for Jay and Roy along with getting the meds and anything else we will need. After that Cass went to get Grandpa Alfred, while I explained everything.

______________________________________________________________________________

“So let me get this right,” Marinette says as she paces in front of medical where we’re stitching up Jason and Roy, “The Wayne’s are the bat family, which your dad started after the death of his own parents at a young age, and you have all been fighting the villains of Gotham from the age of 10, give or take a few years. And Jason was killed by the Joker but was brought back to life somehow and is now Red Hood.”

“Yeah, pretty much,” I shrugged as I finished the last stitch on Jason’s arm. It looked like he was attacked by someone with a sword, “That’s like a super simplified version, but yeah. Though I do think that Ra’s has something to do with it.”

Now that Jason’s patched up and more or less awake, I went to the sink and washed up before turning to my SoulMates.

“Jon, you might as well call the others about this. We won’t tell them who Team Miraculous is, but we will tell them that you guys know who we are. Thankfully, the Justice League doesn’t know who we are outside of the mask other than Superman.”

Jon nods, comes over to me, and kisses the top of my head before he heads to the computer so that he can send out the meeting notification. Not long later that the rest of the League answers back saying they would be there soon.

“Dad will be here in a minute,” Jon says as he turns around smiling the sunshine smile that he’s known for.

“You guys should change now if you don’t want them to know who you are,” Dick says as he walks out of the locker room.

“That also means that only Jon and I can act like Soul Mates. At least around everyone but Superman and the batfam.” I reply looking at Chloé and Adrien mostly.

Everyone, other than Team Miraculous, chuckled before splitting off to go get changed, or to head upstairs to rest. Quickly changing I walked out of the bat-changing room (Dick named it when he was Robin) and headed over to Team Miraculous to check on them. Marinette, as Ladybug, had a different outfit than what we saw in the video.

Her suit is still the same on her legs and shoulders, but the torso, up to her elbows and knees are covered in black with red spots instead of the red with black spots. Around her waist is her yo-yo which is now doubled so there is one on both sides of her hips. Adrien’s suit is much the same as well, just with added pouches and more gray highlights throughout, plus his zipper is lower on his chest. Everyone else on the team still has the same suit that they started with.

Looking at Adrien I couldn’t help but smirk and walk over to him just as mom showed me (that is to say sexy). Once in front of him, I place my hand on his chest, just above his zipper, and purred.

“Who knew you could look hot in a magical cat costume,” I winked at him before turning to Chloé and looking her over smirking, “Damn, Jon, we have some hot Soul Mates.”

Adrien laughed and wrapped his arms around me pulling me closer to him before leaning down and whispering in my ear, “You don’t look too bad yourself. It should be illegal for you to wear leather.”

Blush but with a bit of a smirk I pull back slightly and turn to face Jon, whose face is bright red, “Do you agree with him, Jon?”

He just nodded and hid his face in his hands while Damian, who had just walked in and saw how red Jon’s face was, and I laughed. Team Miraculous looked confused, but then Marinette’s eyes widened.

“You’re Superboy which means your dad is Superman,” She whispers looking between us before narrowing her eyes at Jon, “Are you kidding me? All you guys use is a pair of glasses to hide your identity, how have you not been caught?”

Laughing even harder I fell to the floor and wheezed out, “You have no idea how many times I’ve asked that!”

Still read in the face Jon shoots back, completely ignoring me, “What about Damian? He looks like a traffic light!”

“What’s wrong with it? It’s a rite of passage.” Damian’s face goes bright red but scoffs, nonetheless.

Shaking from laughter still, I gasp out, “You look like a traffic light, Dami!”

“I do not!”

The others began laughing just as hard as I was at that point.

We continue to laugh for the next few minutes while Damian glares at us. While we laugh Jon goes to get dressed (really, he just changed his pants and took off the school shirt), Adrien helps me from the ground, as the Justice League (and dad) shows up. Thankfully, Team Miraculous was already transformed so we didn't have to worry about them being caught.

"Omni, Bat Children, Superboy," Superman greats before turning to the others frowning slightly, "And who might you all be?"

My laughter stops quickly as I move away from Adrien.

“Justice League, this Team Miraculous. Ladybug, and Chat Noir, the leaders, Carapace, King Monkey, Pegasus, Bunnyx, and Honeybee. Two of their other teammates, Ryuko and Viperion, are back in Paris keeping the peace. I contacted them and apologized for what Green Lantern said, and after some figuring out, tonight was the only night they would be free to meet which is why I had Superboy call this meeting.”

The male League members nod while Wonder Woman stepped forward and held out her hand to Ladybug.

“Ladybug, it is good to meet you.” She greats smiling at her. “My mother spoke highly of her time as Ladybug, she would have loved to meet you.”

Ladybug seemed shocked but then her eyes widened, and a small smile appeared on her face seconds later.

“You’re Hippolyta’s daughter,” The way she says it sounds like she just discovered something magical, “Tikki has said great things about your mother, how great of a Ladybug she was. It’s an honor to meet you, Princess Donna of Troy.”

Those two moved off to the side and continued to talk while the rest of Team Miraculous, Jon, Damian, and I just shook our heads with a smile (read: Damian smirked) on our faces. Turning to the Justice League I wave over to the table set up in the middle of the cave, “Please have a seat we have a lot to talk about.”

_____________________________________________________________________

As we all sat at the table, I had Team Miraculous explain the situation in Paris and what all they have been doing to stop Hawkmoth. While they talked, I took notes and when Green Lantern tried to speak up, I glared at him which had him shut up quickly. Once Chat Noir was done Martian Manhunter looked him in the eyes, nodded, and confirmed that Chat was telling the truth. From there we discussed how the League could help them without going to Paris as that is what the team wanted.

After the meeting, the League left (dad and Timmy went back to work, Jason, Kori, and Roy back to the med bay, and Dick went somewhere), and Team Miraculous de-transformed. Marinette then turned to me with a smile on her face.

“Thank you for the help, Alice,” she says as she steps closer to me. “If it weren’t for you pushing the issue, I don’t believe the Justice League would ever help us and we could use all the help we can get.”

I shook my head at her, “Don’t worry about it, like I said I’d do anything for my family.”

Marinette frowned at me for a moment, “About that, why do you keep saying that?”

“Saying what?”

“That you’d do anything for your family.”

Blinking at her for a moment I slowly turned to face Damian who looked freaked out.

“damian alghawl wayn! 'alam tuqil laha 'anaha taw'am ruhk?” I sneered at him while running at him,”'akhbirat kulwi wa'adrian wujun ealaa alfur! ma bukm?” (Damian Al Ghul Wayne! Did you not tell her that she was your soulmate? I told Chloé, Adrien, and Jon right away! What is wrong with you?

Damian started running around the cave while I chased him yelling at him in Arabic. It took Jon flying over to us, and picking me up, for me to leave him alone; though I kept yelling at him only this time it was in English so the others could understand.

“I mean really Damian,” I shouted from Jon’s arms, “I thought I taught you better than this!”

My dear brother’s eyes were widened in fear as I continued to shout at him. After a few minutes though, with Jon spinning us in a circle slowly while he whispers in my ear, “Calm down Kitten.”

Sighing I close my eyes and take slow deep breaths.

As I breathed, I leaned more against Jon’s chest until I tapped his arms, “Put me down.”

He did lower us to the ground, but he kept me in his arms and our other soulmates ran over to us. Adrien grabbed my shoulder while Chloé grabbed Jon’s arm. Turning to face Damian I saw that while his face was blank and his arms were crossed, his eyes and body held an unease to them.

“Dami…” I whispered as I bit my lip, “I’m sorry…”

This time it was Damian’s turn to sigh. He then stepped over to us making Jon let me go and pull Adrien and Chloé away from us. Once he was in front of me, he held open his arms allowing me to crash against his chest, I then gripped his tunic.

“You are just worried I will not tell her because of my time in the league.” Damian hugged me tightly before lifting one of his hands to lift my eyes to his, “and you are right. I normally wouldn’t have.”

He didn’t have to say it, I could hear the words he left unsaid, “but she has something about her that makes me want to be a better person, not for her but for myself.”

“Will you tell her soon?”

“Perhaps.”

“You have to ask her to be your date for my birthday gala though.”

Damian groaned as he hid his face against my shoulder which quickly made Jon and I laugh. Even with his head on my shoulder, I could feel him nod in agreement. I let him stay like that for a few minutes before I pushed him away so I could look over at the teens still in the cave with us.

“Sorry about that, guys, Damian needed a talking too,” I smirked when said boy mumbled about not being a child, “With that somewhat done, let’s head up to the living room to relax. I think we all need it after the day we’ve had.”

The girls in this group smile evilly at me. Chloé and Marinette then walked over to me and wrapped their arms through mine while Alix stood nearby.

“Have you ever had a sleepover before Sandra?” Chloé asked with a knowing smile on her face.

Blinking, I looked between them and shook my head. Even though Jon, Damian, and I are very close we were not allowed to sleep in the same room unless we were here in the manor but mostly Jon would just go sleep in Damian’s room when he was over. I told the girls as much and they seem saddened by that fact yet also excited. Alix gives me a look that makes me wonder what I’m getting myself into.

Without saying another word the girls, other than Alix, squealed and dragged me back into the manor, while the boys just watched this happen a look of horror and surprise on their faces.

Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Chapter Text

Once we were back in dad’s office, Marinette and Chloé turned to face me with huge smiles on their faces, it kind of scared me with how excited they were.

“Where’s your bedroom,” Marinette asks me gently, almost like she was scared I would fight back.

Looking between my sister-in-law and my soulmate I could see in their eyes that Marinette was definitely more nervous than excited, while Chloé was buzzing (no pun intended) with excitement.

Clearing my throat I moved away from them and started walking to the door, when I noticed that there weren’t any footsteps along with my own, I turned slightly to see them still standing where I left them with frowns on their faces.

Smirking, I nodded to the door, “Coming?”

Seeing Chloé’s face brighten up made me smile. Holding out my hand, my smirk changed to a gentle smile which brightened when she stepped closer to me and grabbed it on her own. The feeling of her hand in my own made me blush because my thoughts automatically went straight to having them all over my body. God, I spend way too much time with Jason and Tim.

“You okay, Alice?” Marinette’s voice sounded closer than it did before, “Your face is really red.”

My face brightened even more as I cleared my throat again, “Y-Yeah, I just really gotta stop hanging out with my brothers…”

“Which one?” Alix raised an eyebrow with a smirk on her face, “You have like ten.”

“I have five thank you very much!”

The girls laughed while I just shook my head, “I know dad has a habit of adopting pretty much everyone but come on it’s not that excessive!”

They laughed even harder and all I could do was shake my head smiling. Once they stopped laughing, we all moved up to my room. As we walked, I couldn’t help but remember that my room looked different compared to that of a typical teenage girl’s room.

When you first walk in you see my queen-size bed with Slytherin-style comforter and pillows, the walls themselves were a dark green and above my bed was the Slytherin crest done completely in silver paint and outlined in black so that it looked like it was 3D printed on the wall. I also had a hanging egg-shaped chair that was black with green accents. Next to the chair was a side table that had a few shelves above it covered in nail polish and other things dealing with nails, though most of the colors are darker in shade there are a few neutral shades that I think the girls would like. Attached to my room was an ensuite that had a similar theme.

Watching the girls’ faces when they opened my bedroom door was the best. Marinette looked utterly shocked with how dark it was, Chloé just raised an eyebrow at me with her arms crossed, and Alix was snickering behind me.

“Your room is…. very dark…” Marinette says a little fidgety.

Chuckling, I stepped into the room and pulled back the curtains on the two large windows on either side of my bed.

“That’s why I normally leave the curtains open in the morning, but I didn’t go to bed till late, so I forgot to do it before I left. With them open, it’s not all that bad.”

With the curtains now open Marinette didn’t seem so uncomfortable, though she didn’t look totally relaxed either.

“Marinette,” I started as I bit my lip before continuing, “If you want, we can collect things from here and then go to a different room where you’ll be more comfortable.”

She looked surprised at that, “Are you sure?”

I nodded and smiled, “Of course, I know that my room isn’t something many people would like since those who do read Harry Potter tend to hate us Slytherins, cause they don’t like how dark our personalities tend to be.”

Alix shook her head, “I’m a Slytherin too and I get it. But we do have Hufflebuddies to help out.”

I chuckled at that, maybe Alix is right, our Hufflebuddies are always there to help us out. Turning to Chloé I smirked at her, “And what are you my little Honeybee?”

Chloé raised her eyebrow again, yet she answered nonetheless, “Slytherin.”

“Marinette?”

“Hufflepuff…” She mumbles out, making the rest of us chuckle.

“On that note,” I moved back over to Chloé and grabbed her hand giving it a little bit of a squeeze as I was suddenly feeling nervous about what this day will come to, “Sleepover?”

______________________________________________________________________________

The “Sleepover” is definitely something else. After I had brought up the sleepover again. Marinette and Chloé began to move around my room and pick things up that we apparently needed for the night; pillows, blankets, almost all of my nail polish, etc.. Once they had everything we went to one of the other Den where we found the guys. We ended up kicking them out, Jon and Adrien giving Chloé and I a kiss on the cheek as we kicked them out. Chloé said it was a “girls only sleepover,” Adrien pouted but left with the others.

Alix then turned on some movies while I went to get snacks from the kitchen. Before I went back to the Den though I ran into Jason who just came up from the Cave looking more awake than he did before.

“Hey, Wonderland.” Jason calls from the doorway of the kitchen still holding his side where he had been stabbed, “Where’s demon spawn?”

“Don’t know, I think Jon took him and the rest of the guys somewhere in the manor after the girls kicked them out of the Den.” I reply as I finish packing the box full of snacks, however, I didn’t move from my spot just yet, “Hey JayJay, can I ask you something?”

            “Of course, Wonderland, what’s up?”

Biting my lip, I didn't bother turning to him and just asked my question, “Do...Do you think my soulmates will actually like me?”

Jason didn’t say anything for a moment, but I could hear his heavy footsteps coming closer. He then put his hand on my shoulder, turning me around to face him.

“Why wouldn’t they?” He asked completely serious as he lifted my head to look into his eyes, “I’ve seen the way Jon looks at you, even before he knew you were soulmates; that boy is completely in love with you, kid.”

Staring into his turquoise eyes I could see just how serious he was in his answer, yet I still had trouble believing anyone could be in love with me.

“How do you know though?” I whisper out in desperation wishing I could be as hopeful as my older brother, “How can you know so sure any of them love me let alone like me?”

“Have you asked him?” I shook my head as best as I could with him still holding my chin, “Well there you go, ask him and I bet he says he loves you.”

He then lets my chin go, only to then pull me into one of his “big brother” hugs that I swear he learned from Dick giving them out all the time. Hugging him I’m taken back to all those times as a child when I first started living here. I was not the first Wayne to have nightmares, and I’m definitely not the last, but whenever I did, Jason would come running into my room, pick me up, and would pace back and forth from one end of my room to the other as he whispered into my ear that everything was going to be okay and that I would never have to go back to live with that my bio mom ever again. After I was calm, he would ask if I wanted to talk about it, that is if I didn’t fall asleep in his arms which I tended to do more often than not.

If I did, he would then reassure me about whatever the dream was and that dad would never give me up, and if he did then Jason would adopt me himself so that I was never alone. As I got older, the nightmares mostly went away so he went back to mostly staying at his bases in town, but if I did and I couldn’t sleep he always made sure that I knew I could call him, and he would either rush right over or he would talk me through it until I fell asleep on the call with him. Now with Damian living here, I mostly go to him or dad since Jason would be off-world more often than not mean I can’t get in contact with him unless I want to go down to the cave (and that shit is freezing down there, it would wake me right up. So not worth it).

Pulling away from Jason I smiled up at him, “I love you JayJay, you’re my favorite big brother.”

Jason’s smile widened and he laughed so hard at that, “Don’t tell Dick, he would probably fight me for that honor, but I love you too Wonderland.”

Smiling back, I let out my own chuckle. Dick was always wanted to be the favorite sibling, but Damian, Jason, and Cassie are my favorite siblings out of all of them.

“So, what’s all this for?” He asks once he stopped laughing though he was still gasping for breath from laughing so hard and from the pain of his stitches.

“The girls wanted a sleepover day; these are the snacks.”

Shrugging I finally turn back around and pick up the box as I frown slightly, “What is a sleepover typically like?”

Jason smirked as he took the box from me as we slowly made our way back to the Den, “It’s like what you, Harley, and Ivy do when you stay at their place on the weekends. Only difference is that these are girls your age.”

My frown deepened at that. It didn’t really help but I guess that’s something that normal girls did, and I was by far not normal in any way. Shrugging again I pushed open the Den doors and took the box from Jason with a smile on my face.

“Thanks, JayJay,” I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his cheek, “If you see Dad before I do, can you tell him that we will be having three new guests until the Paris students leave? I doubt Tim told him what happened today.”

This time he was the one who frowned, “What happened today? Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. Oh, that reminds me here,” I shifted the box to one of my arms and held out the recorder I always kept in my pocket, “Give this to Damian or Jon, they’ll know what it means and what’s on it, you can ask them what happened.”

Jason’s frown deepened at that but nodded and took the recorder from me. He then kissed the top of my head again and left to go find the rest of the guys before he was out of my sight though I yelled back to him.

“Oh, and Jason, everyone is spending the night here, some may leave tomorrow but the Marinette, Chloé, Adrien, and Jon will be staying until they have to go back.” In reply, Jason flipped me off and continued walking away making me laugh.

“What was that about Alice?” Marinette asks once I shut the Den doors again, “I thought your dad already okayed us staying here?”

Walking over to the table in front of the TV, I placed the box down before sitting on the ground myself, “Well…Damian and I aren’t known for bringing random people home. The only one we ever ‘brought home’ was Jon and that’s because he was already in the Cave, so we just brought him up here for dinner. Animals, on the other hand, are things Damian, mom, and I bring home all the time. It’s kind of how Dami and mom bounded when she and dad first started dating.”

Chloé moved closer to me, smoothed down her skirt, and tucked it in behind her so she could sit down next to me with her legs out to the side. She then leaned against my arm, and I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer so I could kiss her cheek.

“You keep mentioning a mom, there’s nothing about Bruce Wayne being married.” Alix states as she digs through the snack box.

“That’s because the press didn’t dig deep enough.”

The girls looked confused, so I continued with a smirk on my face, “My mom is Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman; she’s my dad’s soulmate.”

Their faces were so funny. Chloé and Marinette were looking at me like I was crazy while Alix was smirking so largely that I couldn’t help but start laughing. After a while, I was able to calm down, but I had to lean against Chloé because I was still laughing so hard.

For the rest of the day, the girls and I watched movies, painted our nails, and just got to know each other. While I was painting Marinette’s fingernails (she went with a more nude French tip) I learned that she makes her own clothes and that she was actually really good at it too.

From beside me, Chloé scoffed, “You are literally the only person who would say you're only good at fashion Maribug.”

“What do you mean Mahbub?” (Beloved)

“Do I even want to know what you just called me?” Chloé looked at me in confusion for a moment but shook her head, “Never mind. You’ve heard of MDC, right? Jagged Stones fashion designer?”

“Of course I have, they made a jacket for me before the school year started, plus Damian said they’re making my outfit for the gala.” I replied as I put the finishing touches on Marinette’s nails making sure that I put a top coat on, that’s when it clicked, “Wait are you telling me that Marinette is…”

“She’s MDC.” Alix calls from the couch behind us, she only wanted her toes done so she’s up there, “Has been since we were, what, 13?”

Marinette’s face was bright red, and I could tell she wanted to hide her face in her hands but, because her nails were still wet, she couldn’t.

Luckily, she was saved from saying anything else when the door opened, and in came GA’s French class. Leading the way were Noa and their twin sister Sam, behind them were Summer, Sky, Bella, and Lani. None of them looked particularly happy.

Frowning, I stood up and walked over to them, “What happened?”

Noa, being the calmer of the group, stepped up and bowed, I rolled my eyes at their dramatics while the other girls laughed, “I’m sorry to report that Miss. Rossi has gotten involved with Luciana Warner.”

I froze at that name…

She’s Mr. Warner’s youngest, she was also one of the only ones that actually knew what was happening to me…and she just let it happen…

Suddenly I felt like I couldn’t breathe. My throat seemed to be closing on me, and I was starting to get lightheaded so much that one moment everything was starting to get blurry and the next everything was black. Before my vision went black, however, I could vaguely make out Chloé’s voice screaming for help.

Chapter Text

As I began to come to, I could already hear Jason and Damian talking by my head, but it was in whispers so quiet I couldn’t make out what they were saying. Slowly I opened my eyes only to close them right away because of how bright the light was.

“Someone shut that bitch off before I start swinging.” I groan out as I throw an arm over my head so that my eyes were covered, “No light should be that damn bright.”

From beside me, I could hear Jason chuckle. There were then sounds of rustling and the clicking of the light switch being flipped. Through the crack between my arm and my face, I couldn’t see the brightness of the light overhead anymore so slowly moved my arm and opened my eyes again. With them now open I saw that I was on the couch with my head in Jason’s lap and Damian at my feet as he rubs my ankles, something they both do if I ever have a panic attack or suddenly pass out from exhaustion which is definitely something that Tim and I tend to do after a long night of going over our old cases.

“You are doing okay, Boss?” Summer unsurely asks from the other side of the room, “You dropped pretty quick there.”

Sighing I went to sit up, but my head decided it wanted to go on a merry-go-round ride. Slumping back down against Jason with my eyes now closed again, I held the side of my head, grumbling, as I held out my other hand.

“Jon…?”

I felt the air shift around me as he practically flew over and grabbed my hand, “Chlo…Adri…?”

“They’re here too,” Jon whispers as he runs his fingers through my hair, “Do you want them over here?”

“Please…”

He didn’t let go of my hand, but he did shift a little so that he’s sitting above me on the back of the couch. Where he was previously sitting on my left side, I felt two different hands, one on my stomach the other on my leg.

“Wonderland, what happened?” Jason’s tone was riddled with worry, “You were fine when I left.”

My throat hurt from talking so all I could do was say “Noa” before my throat hurt too much. Thankfully, Damian understood what I was trying to say.

“Johnson, what happened?” He growled out and his grip on my leg began to tighten before loosening again.

“Lila Rossi is working with Luciana Warner,” Noa says in a tight voice, “Sammy and I were approached by Warner after school today, asking about Alice. When we wouldn’t answer her questions, she left, and not even a second later a freshman came up to us and told us that she had seen her with one of the French girls.”

“I asked her what she had seen, and she showed us the video that she took. It was of Warner and Rossi talking about what they could do while Rossi was here to get rid of Alice and Marinette.” Sam took over quickly finishing seeing as Noa was shaking with anger.

Sighing again I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at Jon seeing the worry in his eyes and I knew it reflected in my own. If Warner were trying to get rid of me, she could get pretty damn closer. Her family’s reach was quite far, not as far as our family but still far. After everything with her father, her family's name was all but destroyed and I assume that she blamed me for it.

Sitting up I pulled Jon down enough so that he could pick me up and shift into my spot between everyone. Once I was in his arms, I pulled Adrien and Chloé closer, feeling them close to me has allowed my mind to clear faster.

“Then let’s get to work,” I say making everyone look at me in surprise. “I will not sit here and let those bitches try to destroy my life just because her father decided to be an asshole and fuck me up as a child.”

I could tell that those from Paris didn’t know what I was talking about but those that I have gone to school with most of my education understood. Jon hugged me tighter when Archi and Nath stepped up (They were holding hands! I ship them hardcore) so that they were standing with Sam and Noa.

“Warner has been a pain in our ass since before you joined GA, Ace. She used to manipulate her way into getting all A’s in her classes by using her family name. Now she just sleeps her way around the campus with whoever she can so she can get those A’s.” Nath says gently.

Archi nods in agreement, “After what happened with you and her dad, and the rumors she spread about you, she’s been able to collect more people from her group; thankfully, we have an insider.”

“Who?” Damian demands.

My classmates all looked at each other, seeming to have a conversation between the 12 of them. When they finally seemed to come to an agreement, Greg stepped to the front.

“Me, ma’am.” He says looking nervous, “I joined not long after I met you and learned of what really happened.”

I went to stand up, but Jon, Chloé, and Adrien were holding me back. Though it looked like Jason wanted to do the same.

“Geoffrey Browne!” I shouted as I thrashed around in my soulmates’ holds, “Why the hell would you do something so profoundly stupid?”

That threw him for a loop as I continued to shout at him.

“I mean really if she finds out that you are double-crossing her, you will more than likely be killed then blacklisted from everything. Hell, your family would probably lose everything because of her!”

The room fell silent as I continued to rant and rave about how stupid he was. It’s not that I don’t think the idea was good, but only in practice; it’s not the best when there are so many people that can and will be hurt by her just so she can get what she wants.

“Alice, how do you know this?” Adrien asks, looking more worried for me than he did moments before.

I went to bite my lip, but Jon moved one of his hands and touched my bottom lip, his own way of getting me to stop this little habit of mine.

“That's how this whole thing started.” Was the only thing I said before my head and throat began to hurt again making me cough and groan in frustration.

Before anyone could ask anything, Grandpa walked in and announced that dinner was ready. This is definitely going to be an interesting night for sure.

Chapter Text

Waking up from nightmares is never fun. I’ve always hated it, but I’ve come to know it was common in our line of work. So, when I sat up, finding that I was between Adrien and Jon, and noticed that Marinette and Chloé were missing from the room, I went looking for them.

Slowly I got up, silently making my way out of the room. Once I was in the hallway, I followed what felt like a pull in the direction of the kitchen. It wasn’t until I got closer to the kitchen that I realized why I felt this pull; Chloé was in there with Marinette, and they seemed to be talking and…baking?

As I walked closer, I made my footsteps sound a little louder so that I don’t startle them when I show up at the doorway. Standing there I could see the two girls staring at me looking like they were ready to fight if they had to. Smiling gently, I held up my hands to show I meant no harm.

“I come in peace,” I say as I try not to smile, “What are you two doing up?”

Chloé scoffed but held out her hand and drew me closer to her, “I could ask you the same thing.”

Sighing, I leaned against her shoulder and closed my eyes.

“Easier answer, a nightmare.”

“Hard answer?”

“Memories of the four years with my bio mother and my time with Mr. Warner.”

Marinette hadn’t said anything yet, just sat down a plate of cookies and two mugs of what looked like, and smelt like, hot cocoa in front of Chloé and I, “You didn’t have the best upbringing, did you?”

“Nope,” I took a sip before sighing. “My mother was a stripper and a drug addict working for Joker. She would beat and kick me out of the house almost every day, so I would stay with Aunt Harley and Aunty Ivy most of the time.”

Chloé and Marinette’s faces were so pale, and their eyes were wide.

Chuckling I smile at them, “Don’t think too much about it. I was given a Cin vhetin; a fresh start, a clean slate, when dad adopted me. I was able to start again and forget about my past as best as I can.” **(This is Mandalorian since I think Alice is a major nerd)

Neither of them said anything for a while, instead, they just stared at me. Sighing again I move to stand up, but Chloé grabs my waist before I was even off the stool. When our eyes met, I could see she wanted to say something, just didn’t know how to say it.

“Alice…” She whispers as tears flowed down her face.

Quickly I scooped her into my arms and held her tightly. Once in my arms, Chloé cries and grips my nightshirt (Read: Jon’s shirt that he left here) in almost a death grip, slowly I rock her back and forth as I shush her to try and calm her down.

When I glanced up, I saw that Marinette was also crying so I moved one of my arms, allowing her to join Chloé, which she did. For a while, the three of us stayed like that, Marinette and Chloé crying and with me comforting them.

“I know,” I whisper carefully as I keep my tone soft, “I know what I said is horrible, I know it is, but I have grown from it. I’ve learned how to be a better person because of it, and now I have the opportunity to go out and make the city a better place. Not just as Alessandra Martha Jones-Quinn-Wayne, but also as Omni.”

Chloé and Marinette pull away from me with tears still in their eyes but with smiles on their faces too.

Chloé, my sweet Honeybee kisses my cheek before saying, “We may be heroes in Paris, but you are a hero here.”

Smiling, I kiss her cheek back before turning back to Marinette, quickly squeezing her hand. After that, the three of us talked and joked while Marinette continued to make sweets. We didn’t go back to sleep till Alfred walked into the kitchen, around five in the morning, and made us.

The next morning we’re woken up by Tim screaming Jason’s name, and then what followed was an equally loud moan, making us all grimace. Looks like someone was getting off early this morning. When it was made clear that they weren’t going to be done any time soon we decided to go out for food instead of staying there and listening to them.

We decided to go to the first place that dad ever took me; BatBurger! Whenever dad and I have our “daddy-daughter” days we always start the day here, and when Damian came to live with us, I took him here for the first time. It’s not his favorite, but he knows how important it is to me.

Luckily, the people who own BatBurger know our family pretty well and so they have a back room that we get to use so that the paparazzi couldn’t follow us. While we ate Nino told us how he was thinking that he should break up with Alya because of how crazy she was becoming with all of Lila’s lies.

“I would wait until after the gala if I were you,” I say as I take a sip of soda, “I told Alya to look into Lila’s stories, who knows maybe she will actually do so, and change by then.”

Those around me, other than Adrian, Damian, Jon, and Chloé, looked surprised but when I looked at Marinette, I saw that she looked more nervous than surprised. Hmmm, I wonder what’s going through her mind?

Leaning forward I stare at my future sister-in-law with a smirk on my face before glancing at Damian out of the corner of my eye, “taw'am ruhik jamil ya 'akhi aleazizu. lkn li 'akthar sakhunatin.” (Your soulmate is beautiful, brother dear. But mine are hotter.)

Damian smirked back, “nem 'anaha jamilat.” (Yes, she is beautiful.)

“'ant last sayiyaan lilghayat,'' Adrien smirks at me with a slight blush on his face. (You're not too bad yourself)

Damian and I looked at each other before laughing.

“You know Arabic?” I ask, still laughing while the rest of our table watches us in confusion, “Oh this is going to be amazing! We’re going to have so many conversations.”

“Father had me learn back when I was still homeschooled, along with a few others.” Adrien blushes and scratches at his cheek, “I’ve never had someone else to practice with till now.”

Chloé scoffed and she hit Adrien on the shoulder, “I swear if you three speaking in Arabic around us, I will hit you all.”

Chuckling, I smiled at her. I still can’t believe that she’s one of my soulmates. Honestly, I never thought I would have even one soulmate but now I have three! It’s almost too good to be true.

Lunch continued after that, we joked, shared stories, and just enjoyed everyone’s company. It wasn’t until later, once we had been back at the manor for a few hours, that I was able to get Marinette alone.

“Hey, Mari,” I whisper from beside her, “Follow me for a second, will you?”

Nodding she follows me into the library, and, once she’s inside, I closed and locked the door; that should stop Damian long enough. Moving us over to the couch I wave her to the seat beside me.

“Is something wrong, Alice?” Marinette asks as she watches me pour us some coffee that Alfred left for us, I still have no idea how he knew we would need this, but I’ve learned not to question it too much.

Sighing I leaned back and rubbed my face, “That’s what I would like to know. You’ve seemed really quiet since we talked in the kitchen.”

Marinette didn’t say anything, just held her mug for a few minutes. She watched me, just as I watched her when she finally said something.

“I’ve been thinking about what you said last night, about your biological mother, and something doesn’t make any sense. What mother would purposely hurt her child?”

“I have no idea,” I took a long deep drink from my own mug, “The only thing I do know is that when my bio dad died, Aunt Harley’s little brother, she snapped and dropped out of high school.”

“Don’t you find it weird though? That she snapped like that after he died?”

Nodding, I reply, “I think he was her incomplete Soulmate.”

Marinette was startled at my response.

“Her incomplete Soulmate?”

I nodded and pulled out my phone, quickly handing it to her, “From my research, some Soulmates aren’t perfect, aren’t perfect matches I mean. If that is true then they have a high chance of going crazy because their souls were not able to perfectly balance each other out like they are meant to, and they are still looking for their perfect matches.”

“How does that work?” She handed my phone back, “I thought Soulmates were meant to always be perfect matches?”

I placed my phone beside me and shook my head again, “I don’t know, there isn’t much evidence about WHY this happens; only that it does.”

We were both quiet again, allowing our thoughts to drift to wherever they wanted. By the time anything was said between us, Damian was pushing the door open and glaring at me. Of course, he had to pick the lock not that it really surprised me.

“Have you two been here the whole time?” He questions as he walks over to us, dropping into the seat beside his Soulmate, “We’ve been looking for both of you for hours.”

Laughing, I threw one of the pillows next to me at him.

“Leave us, brother, I’m talking to my future sister-in-law!”

Marinette looked confused but when she looked over to Damian and saw how red his face was I could see as it clicked in her head. Damian on the other hand looked like he was going to kill me. So I stood up quickly and flipped over Damian’s head, landing silently behind him.

“I think it would be best if you two talked,” I smirked at Damian’s glare as I backed out of the room, “Now remember I don’t want any nieces or nephews yet!”

With their faces both equally red, I closed the door, locking it with a key that I took from Alfred. Then, just to be safe, I pushed a chair under the handle so that Damian couldn’t get out.

As I walked down the hall I let my mind wander to my own soulmates. If I hadn’t told Chloé and Adrien would they even want me to be their soulmate? Would they have just pushed me away from them? Will, one day, we get into a fight and the three of them leave me because of said fight? Will I make a mistake that will make them hate me and leave me behind? Am I good enough for them?

Slowing my steps, I stop in the hallway as I let my thoughts consume me. Do they actually like me for me or because my name is written on their arms?

I don’t know how long I was standing there, but all of a sudden, I felt familiar arms wrapped around me. Blinking I take a deep breath to get my bearings back and hide my face in my hands.

“You okay, Kitten?” Jon asks as he holds me tightly, “You looked like you were going to pass out again.”

Whimpering I tried to pull away from him, but he just gripped me tighter to keep me in place.

“Alice, do I need to get Damian or Jason?” he whispers as we floated in the air.

I shook my head as I finally got my breathing under control, “Dami’s with Marinette in the library…”

“What about Jason?”

I just shook my head again.

Jon sighed as he gently flies us to, what I’m guessing is my room, “Wanna tell me what that was all about? You’re normally really good about coming to find one of us if your mind starts to run like that.”

Biting my lip, I looked at him for a moment and I shook my head again. I couldn’t help but worry that if I tell him, he’ll tell the others, and then they’ll all leave me. I don’t think I could handle that.

“Kitten, I know that look on your face, and let me just tell you, I don’t plan to ever leave you,” Jon kisses the top of my head and runs one of his hands up and down my back, “From the little we have spent time with Chloé and Adrien, I don’t think they would do that either.”

“How do you know?” I whisper as I finally allow myself to crack just a little and tears filled my eyes, “How could you possibly know? We both know my story, how fucked up it is, how can we possibly know I won’t be left alone?”

Jon didn’t say anything for a while, just held me and stared into my eyes as the tears finally fell down my face. When he did, he was so calm and collected almost like he was channeling Damian, which is pretty creepy but kind of cool at the same time.

“I promised you when we first met that I would never leave you, I promised you that before we ever knew we were Soulmates.” Jon pulled back and cupped my face so that I was looking fully at him, “I love you Alessandra Martha Jones-Quinn-Wayne, you are never getting rid of me.”

As I looked into his eyes, I could tell he wasn’t lying.

A watery smile slowly showed on my face, “Jonathan Samuel Kent, you somehow always calm me down no matter how messed up my head gets.”

Jon just chuckled as he held me tighter and kisses the top of my head again. The longer we lay there the more I felt bad since we pretty much left the others on their own. After a while, though we got up, well Jon picked me up, and we joined the others in the movie room.

Notes:

Hey guys I'm back! I finished the fall semester in December and then we had the holidays so I'm just now getting back to this fic again. So far I have 18 chapters completely done and I'm working on chapter 19, but I have no idea when this will be actually be done. I thought I was only going to have a 20 chapter fic but I just kept writing and here we are. I will say that I have lost inspiration in the miraculous fandom because of how season four ended up. I'm really hoping to be able to finish this by the end of the spring semester but there's a lot that needs to be done, so I might just give you guys a shitty ending by giving you bullet points of how I saw the ending going. I'll probably write one-shots for this series but I'm not sure.

Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Chapter Text

Nino, Alix, Max, and Kim ended up heading back to the hotel later that night since they needed to check in with their teacher. Once they were gone Jon dragged Chloé, Adrien, and I into the backyard.

“J,” I started as I lowered myself onto the railing of the gazebo that dad built for mom after they got together, “What’s going on?”

Jon didn’t say anything, just smiled at me while the other two looked around the yard. If I had to pick a place in the manor other than my place in the library, I would definitely pick the manor grounds, in particular, the backyard.

Since dad was a kid, he and Alfred continued to grow the most beautiful flowers and created such delicious fruits and vegetable gardens. Once they determined that I was old enough, even though I had been working with Aunty Ivy for as long as I can remember, I started helping out them during the week while the weekend I was normally with my aunts.

Moments later Chloé sat on the bench in front of me while Adrien joined me on the railing.

“What’s going on, my dear Alice in Wonderland, is that your panic attack earlier made me realize that we need to figure out what being Soulmates mean for us, as a group,” Jon says as he smiles at all of us, “Just so we are all clear about what we want.”

Sighing, I held my face in my hands for the second time today, “Did you have to bring that up?”

“Yes, yes I did.”

I groan but lean back against one of the poles holding the gazebo roof up.

Chloé spun around and looked at me, “You had another panic attack?”

I nodded.

“Why?” Adrien asks gently as he places his right hand on one of my knees, “Did something happen?”

Sighing, I nodded again, “A lot has happened over the years, and I’m still dealing with the after-effects to this day as you saw yesterday when Warner was brought up.”

Jon and Chloe moved closer to me; Jon wrapping his arm around my shoulder, and Chloé touching my foot. With all three of them touching me, I felt better yet I still worried.

For a while, we stayed in this position. Allowing ourselves that moment of calm before everything went to shit. I knew talking about my life, about the things that have happened to me, normally ends with people leaving me behind or they start to bully me. I don’t want to lose Adrien and Chloé, or even Jon; without them even knowing it, all two of them wormed their way into my heart in the noticeably short time that Adrien and Chloé have been in Gotham.

Slowly Jon pulled away, kissing me on the top of the head as he stepped back. For as long as I’ve known Jon, which is a long-ass time, he never ceases to amaze me with just how much he cares about those he loves and considers friends.

“Are you ready to talk about it?” Adrien asks as he gently rubs my knees.

‘No’ I thought but I nodded in confirmation. It’s going to be a long night.

Staring at my soulmates for a few minutes I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the three of them were. One of them was an actual model, but the other two could be as well. Lifting my hand slowly I cupped Chloé’s cheek and rubbed my thumb against her skin.

“I don’t understand how I could have gotten so lucky to have you three in my life,” I whispered smiling, “What I’m about to tell you both is horrible, and I wish I never had to go through it, but you all deserve to know the truth, even though Jon already knows some of it.”

Adrien and Chloé looked confused and seemed like they were about to say, but I held up my hand to make them stop.

“Please let me finish. What happened to me is something that I have been dealing with for years and it’ll continue for who knows how long. I want to be here for you guys and be the partner that you all need, but I’m worried you’ll leave me once you know the truth.”

“We could never leave you, Kitten,” Jon says quickly, making the three of us turn to look at him, “I don’t have to know the full story to know that I will always be by your side.”

Adrien and Chloé both stayed quiet but nodded, nonetheless.

Pulling back fully I moved to the other side of the gazebo and started pacing as I tried to get my mind in order. How do I start? How will they take it?

“I was born to my biological mother Emma Jones…”

______________________________________________________________________________

By the time I finished explaining my story, Adrien and Chloé looked upset while Jon looked like he was going to kill someone. Jon knew I had been what Mr. Warner had done and he knew it was a teacher, however, he never knew what he said. Now that they all know, I worry even more that they will leave me.

No one moved from their spots for a while, the three of them seeming to be lost in their thoughts. As I watched them, I could see they were trying to come to terms with everything I had told them. The first to move and say something was Jon.

Moving to wrap his arms around me Jon whispered, “I still love you Alessandra Martha Jones-Quinn-Wayne, and I never plan to leave you just as I promised all those years ago.”

Nuzzling into his neck I hum, holding him tighter than I think I ever could. If he were human then I’m sure I would have hurt him with how hard I was holding on to him. As long as I have Jon in my life, I think I’ll be okay. Jon, Jason, and Damian are my world, they have been with me through so much and yet they still stay. I don’t see Jason as much as I could like (since he’s with the outlaws mostly), but if I needed him for anything I know he would drop everything to be there for me.

“J,” I mumble as I grip his shirt, “float?”

Jon chuckles but picks me up and lifts us off the ground so that it looks like he’s seated in a chair in the air. We slowly started spinning around, “You’ve always liked when I did this huh?”

Closing my eyes, all I could do was nod as I slowly began to drift into sleep.

“Alice,” Chloé’s voice broke through my sleepy haze. Once our eyes met, she continued, “I’m so sorry that happened to you…”

Adrien nodded, both of them walking over to Jon and I, “What happened sucks and I’m so sorry. However, I think I can speak for both Chloé and I when I say; we aren’t going to leave you.”

“In the little time we’ve known you,” Chloé whispers as she grabs my hands in both of hers, “We’ve gotten to know so much about you and how you care for others. So, to think that we would leave is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.”

That got a laugh out of all of us.

“Is that your catchphrase or something?” Jon asks in between his laughter.

“Oh yeah,” Adrien says, making me laugh harder, “She says it all the time.”

For the first time in a long time, I truly felt happy and I’m excited to see what else life has for me as long as I have them with me.

Chapter 14: A/N

Chapter Text

Hey guys, I had really hoped that I wouldn't have had to do this again, but I'm putting this story on hiatus because I honestly fell out of love with Miraculous Ladybug. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great show but the way that it's been going right now has made me need to take a break. Also, I'm in my final semester of getting my AA so I'm focusing mostly on that and getting ready to move away so I can get my bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate in history. I'm really hoping that during this pause, and during the summer, I'll be able to get this story up and going again as well as finish it. I have an idea of where I want it to go just not the motive to do it, so for right now, I'll make this complete until I feel like I can give this story my full attention and finish it.
I might end up poster other stories on here during the time I'm gone but I'm not sure. Thank you all for reading so far and I hope you have a great day/week/year/life. <3
