Fate Drabble Collection

Summary:

Just a Drabble collection for Fate and its associated works(Zero, F/SN, etc). Unless otherwise noted the chapters won't be connected.

Chapter 1: Grocery help

Chapter Text

Sakura opened the door to the apartment, her hands full of groceries for the week to come. As she clumsily tried to both close the door and keep the contents of the grocery bags from spilling, she heard her roommate’s quiet voice. “Allow me to assist you, Sakura.”

As quick as a coiled snake, Medusa plucked three of the bags from Sakura’s hand as she simultaneously closed the door with one long leg. “I trust that shopping went well this morning?” She asked quietly, her voice as emotionless as a stone.

“Oh, yes. It went very well. You needn’t worry.”

Chapter 2: Painful Memory

Chapter Text

Rin and Saber looked over the area near what Saber knew as Camlann. Her green eyes were full of sorrow and regret. “This is where… where I slew Mordred.” The former King of Camelot pointed to where a family was standing.

Saber had wanted to see how the site of her last battle looked in the modern era and Rin had reluctantly obliged her. “Saber, I’m sorry.”

“It is alright, Rin. I asked you to oblige my request.”

Rin gently grabbed and squeezed Saber’s hand before rubbing her cheek on Artoria’s own.

“And I promise this shall remain between us.”

Chapter 3: Wedding dress shopping

Chapter Text

Saber looked in the mirror and gave a small spin. “I rather like this dress. What do you think, Medea?”

She looked over her maid of honor who nodded. “It looks very nice on you.”

Saber was in a white, sleeved wedding dress that left her shoulders and back bare. Thankfully, it had a built-in bra though Saber wasn’t sure that she even needed one. Nonetheless, this was the dress that she felt suited her the most.

“Then I think I shall get this one after all. I rather like how it feels on me.”

“I’m glad you like it.”

Chapter 4: Contest

Chapter Text

Saber narrowed her eyes as she tried to predict her opponent’s next move. She had lost too many pieces already to him.

“Come now, Saber. Where is your fighting spirit? Surely I have not bested you yet?” Lancer asked as he stared at the chessboard.

“You have not. I am merely planning my next plan of attack.”

“I see. Well, I eagerly await seeing your next move. It will make my victory over you that much more worthy.”

“Silence! I shall not endure your taunts, even in jest.”

Lancer gave a half bow. “As you wish, brave and noble Arturia.”

Chapter 5: Saber has no sense of humor

Chapter Text

Saber’s eyebrow rose at Cú Chulainn’s idea of a joke. “Lancer, did you think that this would amuse me?”

“Not amuse so much as playfully antagonize.”

“Playfully you say? I shall show you playful at the end of my blade, knave.”

“Uh, you’re joking right?”

Saber’s hands gripped Excalibur, cloaked by the Invisible Air, and Lancer’s eyes widened a bit.

“Geez, I knew you had no sense of humor but can we at least talk about this?”

“The time for talking has passed, now prepare yourself, Lancer!”

He sighed and then took off like a rocket, Saber chasing behind him.
