Chapter Text
It would be a horror to leave home without these wonderful heels, I don’t need to wear tacky boots to warm my feet!
GREEN. ALL YOU COULD SEE THROUGH THE CAR WINDOW WERE THE TREES.
Anabelle might have been bored with just seeing the same landscape for over two hours, but no, she liked to observe nature, liked it especially when she was in contact, since when she was little always liked adventure-in camps and play in the middle of the woods.
She loved to smell the wet grass and to observe how nature was after a good rain, it seemed that everything was always more alive, it was as if the human being wasn’t around, she was a nature lover and that wouldn’t change anytime soon.
"I see you’ll like Forks, dear." Belle turned her gaze to her father, who stared at her through the rearview mirror.
"Sure, Dad. The city looks great and is surrounded by pure nature, I can hardly feel the pollution of the big cities." He answered with a smile that made his father happy.
"At least someone has to be happy with this change." Belle listened to her brother’s grumbling next to her and sighed.
Anthony Le Vour Roux was the eldest son of the family, the boy had a strong and often misunderstood personality, and he was the most disgruntled member of the family since they were informed of the change, Anthony did nothing more than complain and tantrum like a spoiled little boy, which Belle thought was ridiculous, it wasn’t the end of the world, it was just a change.
"Darling, I’m sure you’ll like Forks, you’ll see." The family matriarch spoke with a sweet smile that was totally ignored by her son.
"It’s like that! I’m not Anabelle who will spend the day admiring the forest, this town is tiny and there’s nothing that attracted me here! I could have very well stayed in Marseilles, I will already be eighteen, I do not understand why we had to come to the American continent." Thony’s non-conformity could be felt in his voice.
"Let’s not argue about it anymore, Anthony." Your father’s voice was firm and no room for discussion. "Our home is here now, whether you like it or not!"
After Alfred’s speech the silence in the car was absolute, Anthony returned to focus on his cell phone, his cousin Delphinne was concentrating greatly reading his book and what remained for Belle was to look back at the landscape that passed quickly through the car window.
Belle felt that her stay in Forks would be very good, her life was changing, and she liked it.
¡¡¡
After long hours inside the car the family was finally arriving at their final destination, when they passed the 'Welcome to Forks' sign, Belle felt a feeling that she didn’t know how to describe what it really was, but she didn’t care much, I was looking forward to seeing what the new house would be like, all the houses I’d ever lived in were all magnificent! Her mother was an excellent designer and decorator, so she was almost certain that the new house was magnificent.
While the expensive family car was on the streets, it was possible to see people looking to know who would be the new residents of Forks, who were rich that was noticeable, the family had hardly arrived more was already the target of gossip and envy.
As soon as the car parked in front of his new house Belle let his chin fall in amazement, the house that looked more like a mansion, was surrounded by trees, and it was not possible to observe any house beside, it was all worked in the glass, and it was huge, everything in it was impressive, Modern architecture was breathtaking, this time his mother had outdone herself.
"Mom, this time the lady outdid herself." Belle spoke cheerfully.
"True, only the lady to make a perfection like this." Stopping next to her cousin, Delphinne watched the house with admiration.
"I’m glad you enjoyed it, kids." The older one spoke lively. "Wait till you see your rooms."
Delphinne and Belle looked at each other before running out to see their rooms, listening to laughter behind them. It was always like this, Delphi and Belle looked like two children when it came to bedrooms, they always had rooms next to each other, they both didn’t like being apart, they were like two peas in a pod, they were together since they were eight, when Delphi moved in with them. Since then they were inseparable, and cousins were best friends and sisters.
When both arrived at the upper floor they searched for their respective rooms, Anastasia always liked to put the initial of the name and the surname of all in the doors of the rooms, so no one confused the rooms, something that did not happen since all three were no longer children, but Anastasia Le Vour Roux did not think so.
Anabelle entered her new room and opened a huge smile to see the chosen decoration, her mother without a shadow of doubt was perfect, the room was much larger than her old one, the walls were painted a light pink and the bedding match the color of the walls, the bed was located right in the center of the room, two white headboards were part of the bed each on one side.
The huge window went from floor to ceiling giving him a privileged view of the great forest that stood outside, the door that carried the balcony was right next door, the room had two doors that Anabelle assumed were from the closet and the private bathroom, In the left corner of the room was her study desk with everything she would need, the room was full of cute pictures and combined, her fan embedded in the ceiling was cute.
She had loved the room as always, her mother always crushed it.
"Liked it, daughter?" Turned quickly when he heard the mother’s voice.
"You look magnificent, Mom! I loved you, Merci." Your mother opened a smile bigger than hers, she loved it when she spoke in her native language.
"Vous êtes la Bienvenue ma Princesse." Belle smiled with the nickname. "Your father and I are going to the school you’re going to school in, and we’ll be back soon, so don’t break or burn the house down." He warned the eldest, Belle just nodded, laughing. (You’re welcome, my princess.)
When her parents left, the brunette started to pack all her clothes in the closet and already took the opportunity to separate the clothes she would wear on her first day of school, wanted to make a good impression, make friends and look good in the new school, at least you’d have your brother and cousin by your side, which comforted you.
Anabelle was so tired that she didn’t even see the time, she fell into a deep, dreamy sleep without feeling a thing.
¡¡¡
When the alarm went off the next morning, Anabelle got up in amazement, had not seen the time she had fallen asleep, was exhausted and had not even noticed, but after a good night’s sleep, she was ready to face the new school.
He did his routine of hygiene like every morning and soon after he headed towards his closet wearing the clothes he had separated last night. Anabelle was a girl who cared a lot about her appearance, she was always well-dressed, and you would never see her in clothes that were not modern and presentable. His closet was composed of winter clothes, since most of the cities he lived in were very cold and hardly sunny.
From what she researched from Forks, in the small town the rain dominated most of the time, so her clothes would be well-used. Finishing her heels, she took one last look at her appearance before leaving. Her long black hair was well combed and her face a little flushed on the cheeks because of the cold it made, she did not wear any kind of makeup thus evidencing her natural freckles.
Anabelle was ready to go to her new school. Her brother and cousin should be downstairs by now, she was always the last one to wake up, so breakfast always started without her, something she was used to. As soon as he entered the dining room, the first thing he saw was the big table full of food, his belly even snored.
"Bonjour la famille." Belle saluted happily. (Good morning family.)
"Bonjour." They all answered in unison. (Good morning.)
"Excited about the first day?" Her father asked with a closed smile as soon as she sat down at the table.
"Obviously, Dad. I always get excited when we go to another school." The smile has not left your face in any moment.
"You’re strange, little sister." Thony spoke sarcastically while staring at her sister. "I’ve never seen a person get excited knowing she’ll be a newbie where she doesn’t know anyone."
"Did you and Delphi become nobody?" She asked her brother for fun. "Once you’re done being a jerk, it’s great to make new friends, and you need it." The brunette took a bite of her toast and looked at her brother.
"I agree with Belle!" Delphi joined the conversation, and Thony already knew where everything would stop. "You need to find some good friends and do things that teenagers do, you are very unbearable these days, you need to relieve yourself, little cousin." Thony looked at the two girls with her eyes closed.
"Mother, I will abandon Delphinne and Anabelle in the middle of the road." Thony spoke spitefully, looking at the two girls who stared at him incredulous.
"Don’t even think about doing such a thing, Anthony Le Roux." Alfred spoke, looking at his son.
"All right, Dad. But if I were you guys would hurry, I’m going to school in two minutes." Anthony got up from the table, laughing, and walking to the garage.
Delphinne and Anabelle just swallowed what they were holding and grabbed their backpacks, running after Anthony, Belle knew her brother well to know that he would leave without waiting for them. Belle got in the car in the front seat, she was a little panting, but nothing to kill her.
"His son of a bitch." He spoke giving a slap in Thony that he laughed at them both.
The car left the Roux’s garage and began to walk in the direction of the school, which was not so far away, since everything in the city was close to each other, they went in silence just listening to the music coming out of the radio.
"Shouldn’t you have put on galoshes?" Thony asked while looking at his sister’s heel boots.
"It would be a horror to leave home without these wonderful heels, I don’t need to wear tacky boots to warm my feet!" The brunette’s response made the other two laughs, Anabelle was unbelievable.
"I’ll remember that when I have a cold!" Delphi mentioned the back seat.
It didn’t take all three of them long to get to school. The Forks High School had a terrifying total of only three hundred and fifty-eight, now sixty-one students. All the kids here grew up together, their grandparents were kids together.
The college is like a collection of matching buildings, built with brown brick and surrounded by trees and shrubs, by the way, everything in Forks was surrounded by trees and shrubs. Belle knew the three of them had to go to their desks to pay for their schedules, so Anthony parked in front of the desk and everyone got out of the car.
Entering the little room, Belle watches everything around. The room is small and has a small waiting room with folding chairs and a bulletin board. A tall clock is on the wall. The desk holds flowers in plastic containers. In the middle of the room, there is a bar with lots of paper baskets and on the front there are leaflets in bright and bright colors. Behind the counter, there are three tables, one of them is Mrs. Cope who was very focused on her computer to notice the presence of the three.
"Excuse me, we’re new students, and we’re here to pick up our schedules." Delphi spoke softly, and quickly the lady raised her face facing them, embarrassed.
"Oh yes, they are the Roux, it is a pleasure to have them in our school, dear." The lady spoke kindly and with a smile that was reciprocated by Belle. "Here are your schedules and the passbooks that the teachers need to sign, and you need to return them at the end of the day."
Belle took them all and passed them on to her brother and cousin, they would hardly have classes together, one or two at most, would have none together before lunch, Belle breathed a sigh.
"Have a good day, dear ones." Wished the kind lady.
"Merci." Thanked Belle by getting off her desk and back in the car. (Thank you.)
Anthony drove to the parking lot where groups of young people met, the sports car parked next to a big red pickup truck, Belle knew that all eyes were on them, she liked it, she wasn’t narcissistic or anything like that, but she liked to have her eye on you. He sighed one last time before he got out of the car.
When the car door was opened and her leg placed outside, the parking lot was silenced, with the body already outside the car Belle passed her eyes through all the faces of the parking lot, her smile made some people look at her hypnotized. Some girls looked at Anthony, admiring his beauty, something he didn’t give a shit about.
Belle was happy and excited, a new phase was beginning in her life.
