Episode 1: The Prince Who Would Sell His Kingdom

Wein Pov

". up," I heard someone say, "...up. WAKE UP WEIN!"

"Gah," I exclaimed sitting straight up from being woken up. After yawning loudly and rubbing the tiredness out of my eyes, I smile as I see Ninym straddling my lap. "Morning Ninym," I say as I snake my arms around her waist pulling her close to me.

"Good morning, Wein," she says as she leans into the embrace, "you ready to run the country," she mutters in my chest.

I sigh loudly before replying, "No, I can't wait to sell this worthless kingdom and settle somewhere else with you." I start stroking her luscious white hair gently.

"As much as I want to run away with you," Ninym says as she retracts herself my embrace, "you have a duty to do."

"Yeah yeah," I said dismissively as I waved her off, "let me stay here for the rest of today," I finished saying before I plopped my head back on to my pillow. As something blocks the light from reaching my eyes, I feel Ninym's lips pressing against mine. I wrap my arms tightly around her waist to deepen the kiss.

As we both run out of oxygen, Ninym looks at me, out of breath, beats red and asks, "Will you get up now."

Looking directly at her, I responded, "Yes." As I get out of bed, Ninym rolls off my chest and down on the bed. "Hey, you can't go to sleep now," I yelled at her as she stole my spot.

"Mmm… warm," she mutters into my pillow. As she looks up at me, her eyes say make me. She yelps as I pull her off the bed into a princess carry. She cutely buries her head into my chest, so I didn't see her embarrassment.

Seeing this cute reaction of her, I decided to tease her. "You know," I started as I headed towards the door, "when we do get married, you'll actually become a princess," I finished as I whispered it into her arm. I felt her body temperature shoot up. I laughed as I gave her forehead a quick peck before we headed to our room.

Ninym POV

KNOCK KNOCK

"Enter," Wein says as he straightened himself up from his usual lackadaisical posture when doing work. Four people enter the room, all wearing blue attire, two with belts, one with a mustache, one with a beard.

Sometime later

"And finally," the beltless/mustacheless person started, "the Emperor of Easterwood suddenly passed away and now there seems to be a power struggle for the throne."

"C'mon Wein we're almost done," I thought as I could see his face slip into a state of annoyance and agony of being in this meeting.

Recomposing himself, Wein says, "Since the emperor's charisma is what catapulted the empire forward, if he never named a successor or there was someone who wasn't happy with it, all the progress could be for naught."

"Also, there seems to be unrest within the empire and kingdoms surrounding us, your majesty," the same blue cloaked figure said, "however since we are in Natra we have a beacon of hope. And that's you Prince Wein."

"I don't blame Wein for wanting out, even I'm getting bored," I thought as the old man rambled on.

Smiling, Wein responds to him by saying, "It couldn't be done all by myself. The loyalty your liegemen have shown my father through thick and thin, are also a beacon of hope."

"Your highness," the beltless/mustacheless man said

"We aren't worth of such words," the beatles/mustache man said

I sigh to myself as Wein stood up to say, "As long as all of us are united on the same page, there isn't anything we can't do. The previous matter with the imperial ambassador is evidence for that."

"It's just as you say, your Highness," the beard/belt person said.

"You've grown into such a fine man," the beardless/belt person said.

"Is that all," Wein asks them, visibly annoyed by all this. As the four of them shook their heads no, Wein said, "Thank you, you're all dismissed."

As the four of them give a slight bow, they all turn on their heels before heading out, As the door slams shut, I look over to Wein who's scrunching his face before he screams, "I can't wait to sell of this kingdom!"

OP PLAYS (Best Op of 2022 Winter Season IMO)

Laying across the desk, Wein starts to rant as he slams his fist on top of the desk, "You're also a beacon of hope?" SLAM

"Wein," I say trying to get his attention.

"As long as we stand united toward the same goal?" SLAM

"Wein," I say a bit louder trying to get him out of his rant.

"I dint mean a word of it," he proclaims as he opens up his hands, "there's no way to fix the mess that the kingdom is in. No way! Aitn going to happen!"

"Wein get a grip," I yell as I slam my fist against the desk to get his attention.

"What Ninym," he asks annoyed.

"You're ranting again." I say exasperated.

"Sorry," he says sheepishly, "but don't you want me to sell of this kingdom so we can have all the time in the world together."

"I mean," I say as I start to daydream about all the possible time Wein, and I could spend instead of doing all this royal work. "We could settle down in a cabin in the woods, get married, and start a family. Wait a f-family where did that come from."

"Ninym. Ninym. Ninym" Wein exclaims getting me out of my daydreams, "are you okay?" My faced turned atomic red as I recalled what I just though of.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine," I say, "it's not like I was dreaming about starting a family with you or any-," I immediately put my hand to cover my mouth. I look over to see Weins jaw hanging obviously surprised my declaration.

Smiling he got up from the chair and wrapped his arms around my waist form behind before whispering, "Once I sell of this kingdom, lets start a family," and blew affectionately into my ear.

"Eep," I let out my face flush red

"Anyway," I said recomposing myself, "you shouldn't be joking about such things Wein," I said sternly.

"I'm not joking Ninym! I'm totally serious about this," he yelled at me.

Sighing and placing the clipboard on the table, I said, "You become lazy when no one's watching. You need to try to work a least a bit harder."

"Ninym there is nothing we could possibly do to reverse how dirt poor the kingdom is in every possible aspect. We are the smallest kingdom of around 500,000 subjects, and we have the worst geological location. Short summers and long winters," Wein said

"I mean you're not wrong but-," I try to interject.

"Most of the land in Natra is barren rock/mountains. We have nothing to invest in domestic development, we can't raise capital, and nothing valuable here," he concluded. As he laid on the couch, he yelled out, "I can't take it anymore," as he flailed all over the couch.

"Knock it off Wein," I yelled as I pinched his cheek, "your father, sister and all of Natra is counting on you," I say gently as I caress Wein's cheek.

He sighs and lays his head over the armrest before saying, "I know Ninym." I hear Ninym move closer and see her face directly above mine. "I love you Wein," I whisper softly.

"I love you too," he whispers back. As our lips are about to meet, there's a knocking at the door. "I swear if it one of the liegemen…" he mutters. "Who is it," he asks.

As the door opens, his sister, Princess Falanya, enters the room. "Do you have a moment big brother," she asks him as she closes the door behind her.

Wein and I scramble back to the desk before he says, "Of course." Falanya, elated that her brother is available, rushes towards the desk.

Wein POV

"Is there an issue Falanya," I ask my sister.

She shakes her head before saying, "No, but I just saw father and decided to give you an update about his condition."

"I see," I reply, hiding my annoyance about missing an opportunity to kiss Ninym.

"Father is looking much better," she continued, "he felt like he could be able to walk sooner rather than later."

"That's fantastic news," I say, "however, make sure he doesn't walk until he's 100%."

"Why," she asks.

"Because the neighboring kingdom of Marden is probably about to invade Natra at any moment," I respond.

"Wait… you're saying," my sister started to say.

I nod answering her question before saying, "We're going to war." I see my sister's eyes widen. "At one-point Natra and Marden were at peach with each other. That was until they found a gold mine which expedited their growth as a nation. However, their current king is very unpopular."

"I learned he is served by corrupt officials who ignore his failures and are basically yes men to him," my sister said recalling what she learned.

"Correct, however this cycle that he is creating will drive his kingdom into the ground," I explain. As I look behind me, I see Ninym sorting paperwork. She sees me looking at her and flashes a smile which I happily return before continuing my explanation, "That's why their king is looking for an easy way to distract his people. Our kingdom is a perfect distraction for Marden."

Noticing that Ninym was walking over towards us, "With the imperial forces that were here left, Marden is going to attack."

"But you won't allow them to take over Natra," Falanya asks me with worry in her voice. Wein shrugs before she said, "I overheard the officer in the talking.

"What did they say," I ask her with concern.

Flexing her left arm, she repeated, "Now is the time to strike Marden with the swords of Natra to fulfill their appointed task. And, as liege mean, we must live up to the prince's expectations. Stuff like that."

"Did they really," I ask as I could feel myself getting more and more annoyed.

"You heard them to, right, Nankai," Falanya asks her bodyguard.

I look over to the double doors, before I heard Nanaki say, "Yes, they wouldn't shut up."

"For fiucks sake! Those idiots are getting all excited at the thought of battle. Are they gearing up for war? Don't they know how expensive it is to wage war," I scream internally. I'm snapped out of my internal rant as I feel Ninym's hand grip my shoulder gently. I turn my head and see her gently smiling at me. "Thanks, Ninym," I tell her as I pat her head gently. She purrs gently and nuzzles my hand.

"Brother," Falanya says, interrupting out little intimate moment. I look back at her pouting face, "No fair," she whines out.

"Sorry," I tell her as retract my hand from Ninym's head. "We'll launch a half-hearted attack and then sue for peace." I say to myself as I turn back to see Ninym nodding at me.

Ninym POV

Once Princess Falanya left, I wrapped my arms from behind Wein and whispered, "Now where were we." As he turned around to face me, he pressed his lips against mine. The warmth of his body pressed against mine. As we broke the kiss, a trail a saliva was all that was left.

As Wein sat back down on the couch, he motioned me to sit on his lap. I obliged and sat on his lap facing forward cheeks aflame. "So," Wein started as he pulled me closer, "how are we going to win this war," he asked.

"You're asking me," I asked back, "knowing you I thought you already had a plan developed,"

"I do," he admitted, "I just wanted to see if you could come up with anything on the spot," he teased. I punched him lightly in the shoulder as a playful gesture.

"So, what's my role," I asked him curiously to what I'll be doing.

"You'll oversee the ambush if when Natra is forced to flee to the mountains," he explains, "take all of the archers with you so it can be from range,"

"Sounds good," I mutter as I rest my head against Wein's shoulder.

Wein POV

As I look perch from the cliff, seeing each army's troops, I say, "We're outnumbered 7,000 to 6,000 troops."

"Your highness," I hear someone say as they approach my, the clacking of hooves growing louder, "both armies are arrayed on the field.

"All we do I sit and wait for the battle to begin," I respond to him.

"Yes, your highness," he says, "also, I was hoping you might have some words for the troops. For almost all the troops, this their first ever battle. Not only does it wear down the body it wears down the soul as well. Would you be willing to boost their morale?"

Wein POV

As I stand on top of table, "Really they have me on top of a table," I think to myself as I peer out to see the 6000 troops gathered. "Torace of Heinoy," I bellow out, "your spear is upside down."

I sigh to myself as I see him flail around to get the spear right side up. However, by doing so, his helmet is completely off centered. "Forgive me, your highness," he yells out as everyone around him laughs.

"Karlmann, Patess, Livil, Logil. It's really not that funny," I say reprimanding them.

"Yes, your highness," all four of them say.

I close my eyes thinking, "I can't wait for this stupid war to be over so I can spend time with Ninym. Hopefully they lose fast." Taking a deep breath, I say, "Until this day Natra's army has always been looked down as the weakest of the weak. It may have been true in the past. However, you all have survived the most grueling training. Each and everyone of you has a noble courage that is beyond compare. And I know as Marden invades Natra, an imperishable flame burns brightly in each one of you. As of now, we can no longer be seen as weak in any aspect!" Raising my fist in the air, I yell, "Today is the day we fight and rewrite history," Hearing the entire army cry out, I know I've done all I can to boost their morale.

Before I could head back to headquarters, I hear someone say, "That was magnificent."

Walking forward, I respond with, "Well at least they'll be able to hold their weapons right."

"Did you plant those soldiers in," he asked me.

"As if, I was simply winging it," I answered honestly.

Once I entered the tent, I groan loudly at the headache that was coming on from all this useless stuff. "Hope you're already Ninym," I thought.

As I stare at the map of the battlefield, someone enters the tent and says, "Marden's troops are in a center-heavy formation."

"In that case, we'll stand our ground," I respond vigorously, "they'll break once they hit our defensive line. The Mardenian army won't know what hit them!"

As I see them charge at each other, I started to get worried, "Wait, wait, wait," I repeated as I saw my army push back Marden's army. Making a face of confusion, I say, "How can Marden be so weak!?"

"What the hell," I scream, as this sudden result goes against all my plans, "how are we kicking their butt?" As I inspect the battle, I proclaim, "What's with Marden's tactics? Its not a schoolyard brawl."

"Is there a problem your highness," someone asks me.

"Not at all, I'm just surprised by how fiercely our troops are fighting," I tell him. "The reason why we ahead right now are because we've adopted the methods of the continents greatest military force," I thought to my self

"Your highness," someone shouts and the enter the tent, "the center of our line is under pressure!"

"Crap," I said to myself.

"That's the one thing that Natra's army lack. Experience. They aren't mentally prepared for all the fighting/death that lays on the battlefield." he says.

"The tides turn against us," I think before heading out.

Wein POV

As I look through the spyglass, I mutter, "Shit he noticed."

From behind I heard the mustache guy say, "Your highness, we must fall back."

"I know," I tell him as I put away the spyglass. As the four of us flee deeper into the mountains, I turned around and saw the Marden army right on our tails. "Are you ready Ninym," I ask myself as I rode my horse deeper into the mountains so that the ambush is in perfect range for Marden, s army. "Quickly, men, turnabout," I yell to the other three horsemen.

As I yank on my horse to tell it to stop, the Marden army got ready to fully charge right at us.

Ninym POV

As I ride my steed towards the edge of the cliff, I see Wein and his other three members stop while the Marden army is charging at them. "Just as you planned Wein," I thought to myself. As the archers got into position, I raised my right arm before screaming, "Archers, loose!"

Suddenly, a barrage of arrows was shot from the top of the cliff right at the Marden army. Seeing the arrows fly whistling through the air, I take a quick glance at Wein and already knew what he was thinking.

As the arrows connect with the Marden troops, I led the charge from down the cliff and into the fray. "Pathetic," I muttered, and I hacked/slashed my way through the Marden army with the goal of taking the general's head.

SLICE

As the arm Marden's generals arm came clean off, the fell of his horse and landed right on his back. "Why you," he yelled as he tried to get back up.

I quickly draw my rapier and pointed it right at him and asked, "You're the general, I presume? Surrender now and you may survive with proper treatment."

"Surrender," the general says as he boils with rage, "surrender, you say. To hell with that! I'm the general of Marden's army! And especially to some woman and a dirty, lowly Flehm at that!"

My eyes instantly sharpened at the last part of his rant. "So be it," I tell him and without hesitation I cut his head clean off. As his headless body falls to the ground and blood pools around it, I turn to my right and tell the soldiers, "Take his head for all to see. And see that his last words are never heard again."

"Yes ma'am," one of them said, "the general died in complete silence as far as I'm concerned." As they take the head/body back the army, I take my horse to Wein as quickly as possible. As he comes into sight, I immediately smiled and started waving at him. To my delight he smiled and waved back.

Knowing that winning was not what Wein had initially planned, I was curious to see how this would all play out.

"I missed you Wein," I told him as my horse was next to his.

"I've missed to Ninym," he told me as he leaned in and passionately kissed me. To me it felt like hours, days, months. But it was only ten seconds before he pulled away and whispered, "Good job Ninym." I lean into his shoulder as we ride side by side back to headquarters.

"I love you," he said as we approached the tent.

Smiling, I replied with, "I love you too," as we dismounted our horses.

Wein POV

"What the hell am I supposed to do now," I asked myself, as I, Ninym, and five other people gathered around the table.

"With the defeat of the Marden army, Eastern Marden is utterly exposed," he started, "now's our chance to turn the table and to invade them!"

"We could easily take a large portion of their territory," another one said.

"I agree," the person to my far right said, "our quick victory means we still have plenty of troops and a surplus of supplies."

"Your highness, what is you command," I was asked.

"I can't fathom this," I scream internally, "Don't these bozos know how risky it is to invade without carefully planning!? However, how can I say that right after we won? Since we destroyed Marden's army, weak words will make my generals' loyalty to plummet. And that will only end in a coup d'état. This is my only out. I just want to spend time with Ninym."

Before I address the issue at hand, I took a deep breath, stood up and said, "I understand what you're saying. However, Marden and Natra basically are the barren in resources. But there is only one location worth taking. The Jilaat Gold Mine."

Seeing the four faces turn into absolute shock, "Yes," I cheer to myself, "that's exactly the reaction I wanted from you four. Targeting their gold mine is such a lunatic idea! Even with all the strategic advantage that is gained from taking it over, an attack with little to no intel and with weary troops, the attack is sure to fail. Sadly, it has stroked a serious debate… just get this over so Ninym and I can go on our date," I finish sighing. "There's no other area in Marden with the same advantage as the mine. Once they realize this, tell lose their thirst for conquest!"

Sitting back down, I notice Ninym turn her head to face me instead of straight ahead, and I flash her a smile and wink. Seeing her face turn slightly red, made me smile. "Your highness," one of them says as I'm fully seated.

"Well, is my proposal crazy," I ask them, confident that they'll withdraw. "They want to tell me how stupid and reckless it is, but they don't know how to word it," I say to myself nodding at my genius, "they'll try so save their honor by acting like their wisdom struck my soul. If I do that everything will be-."

"I am in awe of your intellect," cut my train of thought.

"WHAT," I scream internally as my eyes widen.

"Its just as you say, your highness," one of them continued, "the Jilaat Gold mine, is the only target of worth!"

"This is such a surprise that you knew of our long-standing plan to take the gold mine," another one praised, "I'm absolutely speechless."

"Wait, what," I think as my brain starts to fry.

"While we were celebrating our victory, his highness was probably looking over the feasibility of our plan. I'm humbled by your foresight," he said bowing his head.

As the other three followed suit, one of them said, "Your highness, well set out at once upon your command."

"Let us strike while the iron is hot," one of the exclaimed!

Absolutely stunned, I turn to my right to look the general. Seeing him nod, I whipper my head to the left seeing Ninym smiling widely at me. "Ninym help," my face said.

Still smiling, she closed her eyes, face saying, "Sorry Wein, Nothing I can do," her face shifts to one of annoyance, "so no time to go out."

"Sorry Ninym," I mentally say.

Ninym POV

Once Wein ordered the attack on the Jilaat Gold Mine, the tent cleared leaving me and Wein alone.

"The invasion of Marden is a done deal," I tell Wein who's laying on the desk. Climbing on the table I sit on his chest.

As he looks at me, he sighs before saying, "If our army didn't blow them out, I could've changed the plans drastically." As he sits up, I end up sitting on his lap, as I lean my body on Wein.

"So, what now," I ask him as wraps his arms around my waist.

"I don't even want to think about it," he says pouting.

Looking directly in his eyes, I say, "You know that's not an option."

"It's not," he asks in a pleading way.

As I shake my head, I say, "No, it's not."

"Okay," he says his mouth contorting into a mischievous smile, "Ill only think of something if you meow like a cat."

"W-what," I stuttered out face ablaze at his request.

"Come on then," Wein said, "cat got you tongue Ninym? Has curiosity killed your inner cat? Too proud to channel your inner feline?"

Slightly annoyed by the amount of cat one liners, I meowed into his ear. Seeing him smile, I closed my eyes and pressed my lips against his. As our lips connect, I feel Wein's tongue poking my lips asking for entry, I oblige and part my lips so our tongues could dance. To me nothing else mattered. I was with one I love. As our tongues danced, I felt Wein's hands drift towards my butt. Giving one of my cheeks a squeeze, I moan into the kiss.

Sadly, we ran out of oxygen and had to separate. The remainder of our connection was a single strand of saliva. We both were panting hard faces equally as red. My whole body was on fire. Looking into Wein's eyes, I push him down on the table and perching from his chest I asked him, "So what's the plan?"

"We should start by checking the intel on the mine's defense," he said as he pulled me close.

"Then we should reassess our supply lines and do our best to maintain troop morale," I followed up.

"If we can take the mine before Marden can amount an adequate defense, it'll be an easy win," he said as he leaned in again.

"But that's all easier said than done," I reply before I meowed again. That action got the desired result as Wein as he smashes his lips against mine. Once he broke the kiss, I got as close I could to his body before saying, "I love you so much Wein."

"I love you to Ninym," he replied. Wein POV

"We actually took the mine," I told Ninym as we both looked out the window overlooking the entire mine.

"We actually took it," Ninym said equally as shocked at how easy it was.

"C'mon meow for me," I told her gently.

As she turned her face, a bright smile illuminating from it, she meowed before I kissed her one last time that night.
