Today wasn't how he expected his Wednesday night to go at all...He could've never imagine in a million years that he would've seen his parents not after he had runaway from home, especially when they come into his bar now wanting to fix their relationship after years of abandonment and emotional abuse they had put him through..but of course the world has its ways of surprising people in may ways, for the better or for the worse.

As any other day would've gone, it was a pretty slow and uneventful day (erm...well, for the most part it was) at the sparkling cookie's juice bar. Customers came in as usual, vampire payed his daily visit as he sat on a stool at the edge of the bar counter dozing off with his arms rested on the counter with his head in them.
Even herb came in as well today and told him of how his gardening was doing and mentioned finding a new friend called clover cookie, who also expressed some interest in gardening as well.
And like any other day, he found himself relaxing after a long day of work dispute not doing much today, he let out a small yawn. He should've gotten more sleep yesterday, he told himself in his head.
_But I guess it was worth losing a bit of sleep to talk to mint_ another voice butted in, he hadn't been talking to him much recently despite him being one of his regulars. _It was nice talking to him again._
He was now recalling yesterday's night activities, Sparkling cookie had attended to his dear friend, Mint Choco's first symphonic concert. It was breath taking preform as always and he just had to stay back for a bit to congratulate him on his performance. And he also had asked about if Cocoa had came to the party as well (it was very obvious that they were into each other back alas they were both completely oblivious to each other's feelings)
But to Sparkling cookie's surprise, she hadn't attended his concert and that's why Mint Choco was slightly in a hurry since he had wanted to make sure she was ok and nothing bad had happened to her. And of course Sparkling cookie being the good friend he was told him to go and find her, saying that they could catch up with each other another day.
Mint thanked him as he practically dash towards the exit, he chuckled to himself as he as well left the theater now heading home, he hadn't even noticed how late it was.
He had considered closing the bar for just a day so he could get a good day's sleep but seeing others enjoying his work by enjoying their drink was all he needed to run the rest of the day knowing that he could light up anyone's day with a simple beverage.
Right now he was cleaning glass cups, it was a habit of his that helped him distract himself from getting bored but as he was doing this his train of thought started to wonder off. Something didn't feel right to him as he furrowed his eye brows unselfconscious. He couldn't put his finger on it but he had this _feeling_ like the world was purposely going slow as if it's preparing him for something _or someone_...
It was the jingle of the door bell that brought him back to earth as he snapped away from his thoughts to look up at who had just came in coming closer to the bar table
The person had white hair with streaks of green in his hair, he also wore a white button down shirt with some black trousers. " Ah, it's just Mint choco " he said to himself and let out a breath of air he didn't even know he had been keeping in.
"Mint! For what do I owe this pleasure for?" He said with a grin as Mint now sat on a stool in front of him smiling as well "Would you like anything?"
"Greetings Sparkling! I'll uh- take a glass of water and I came here actually to talk to you" he said looking at him sheepishly as he grabbed a cup from above a shelf.
"Oh? But I thought we already did have a chat with each other? Not that I mind of course" he replied as he pour water into a cup now placing it in front of the other cookie.
"I guess I wanted to apologize about leaving the conversation so soon yesterday" he admitted with a sheepish look on his face as he rubbed the back of his neck. And his other arm now resting on the bar table.
"That's fine!" The other cookie reassured the other "It was getting late anyways but I do hope I don't sound rude for saying this but why apologize at this hour? It's almost, what-"
he turned to look at a clock hung up on the entrance of the bar
"10 o'clock! Couldn't you've come tomorrow?" Sparkling cookie said, now looking back at him with one of his eye brows lifted up
"Well it's also because I wanted to talk to you about something else as well" he hesitated, now looking the table and fidgeting with the cup of water in his hands.
"I know this'll probably not even involve you and was a stupid idea but I saw this marriage couple or I'm assuming they're married while I was walking down the street and they looked very wealthy by the look of their clothing but that's besides the point-" he let out a sigh now looking back at sparking cookie who still had one of his eyebrows lifted but not saying anything. Only staring at him in confusion.
"The point is, I just couldn't help but noticed that they sorta looked like you, they even had similar hair colors to you" he said with a nervous chuckle, eyes now fixated on the cup in his hands again.
"So I sorta maybe...went up to them and had a chat with them and unsurprisingly they weren't from here and came all the way here to see my concert but they're also looking for someone, apparently their son had gone missing years ago and they could've sworn that they saw him at my concert when they were there. I asked what he looked like and....." Mint trailed off as he now looked at sparking cookie.
He looked pale and now had a very serious look on his face, he placed a hand on his shoulder
"Mint...where are they now? What else did you tell them-"
Just as he asked this question, the jingle of the door entrance rung..,what he saw next left him frozen in his place
"Darling! He told us to wait outside!-"
The voices coming in were all too familiar
“I don't care Prosecco! I've waited long enough and my patience is wearing thin-"
A gasp could be heard from the people that had just came in
"Champagne is that you?"
It was them
"Mother? Father? What are you doing here?"
They had finally found him
