The Group now resides in Woodbine as the threat of a new horde approaches

Chapter 1: Spring Blossoms

March 10th 2025- The Quarry

The RV pulled up to the rock quarry; Jaeden, Maxwell, Preston, Gabriel, Griffin, Dash and Matt all disembarked from the RV and looked down into the quarry filled with the Dead. “Winter helped us……but it is warming up and the ice holding that thing up has melted.”

Jaeden examined the quarry. “This quarry is approximately 15 miles due south of Woodbine……let’s hope they travel south then, or any direction away from us.”

“Sir, that's a big ask, we can't bet the lives of all of our people on it.”

“Griffin, I appreciate the concern but we need not cause a panic over a chance.”

“Jaeden, the odds rise by the day.”

“Thank you for your opinion, Maxwell, but I don’t need it. We will keep a watchful eye upon this quarry but you are not to alert the public. That is my final say, let’s get out of here it smells like shit here.”

A zombie wearing a torn up suit and a fedora came towards them.

Preston unloaded an arrow into his head. “Very fancy looking zombie.”

Gabe nods as he slices a zombie's head off. “I mean, hey, don’t shit on the Dead just cause they dress nice.”

Preston whispered into Gabe’s ear. “You coming by tonight?”

Gabe nods. “Of course.”

Preston smirked. “Good.”

Maxwell looked at them. “Hey you two, whatcha talking about?”

Preston and Gabe quickly separated. “Nothing!!!!”

Maxwell nods. “Well come on you two, we need to get going.”

Dash looks at Matt. “So boss, are we really gonna listen to Jaeden?”

“For now, deputy, but if I feel this poses a bigger threat at any point, I will alert the people.”

Dash nods. “Glad we are on the same page.”

They load up into the RV and return to Woodbine.

Ben and Macsen open the gates and the RV parks. “Come along, Jenkins, much paperwork to be filled out.” Jaeden moved at a brisk pace.

Maxwell nodded and ran to catch up with Jaeden.

Landon greeted Preston. “Hey Preston!!!!”

“Sup, Lando.”

“I, uh, well, I have your rations!!!” He hands him his crate.

“Thanks, Landon.” Preston smiled and took the crate and went to his humble abode.

Walker was making out with Dash and he saw that scene. “Be right back with you, Daddy.” Walker ran up to Landon. “That was fucking embarrassing as shit.”

“I KNOW, HE’S JUST, UGH!!!! He is perfect. I want him all for myself and I just get all flustered around him. Nothing ever changes.”

“Gingy, you got no game, that’s your main issue, you need to work on that.”

Landon nods. “Got it, can you help me?!?”

Walker nods. “But not right now.” Walker smirks, looking at Dash.

Dash smiled and grabbed his crotch, thrusting towards Walker. “He’s gonna be a bit occupied!” He picks up Walker and carries him to their humble abode.

In the Church.

Mason was blessing the Baloun brothers. “In the name of mother, the father, the spirit and the holy ghost.”

Griffin smiled watching Mason do his thing.

Mason smiled back as the Balouns left; Mason greeted Griffin with a big kiss. “My prayers once again find themselves answered as you return home to me yet again.”

“I’m not gonna hide this from you, babe, there is a horde of the Dead in a quarry and they are about to break loose and I suspect that they will come here and I don’t know if we will stand a chance against them.”

Mason held Griffin’s hands tight. “Pray for the best outcome, bless our town and our people.”

“I wish I had as much faith in the Lord as you do.”

Mason smiles. “It’s okay, my love, I got enough faith for the both of us.”

In the Hair Salon

“I knew I could rescue that hair, Taity.” Kiefer hands Tait a mirror.

“Damn, it’s all flooffy and soft!”

“Hair has a way of bouncing back when given the proper care and love it deserves!”

Tait smiled. “And the right guy to care for it.” He pulled Kiefer down onto his lap and started making out with him.

Walker was working on Stefan’s hair. “Awe, isn’t that sweet?”

Stefan nods. “WB, do you really think we need three hairdressers?”

“No…I must admit I have grown bored with this job.”

Stefan smiles. “Glad it’s not just me.”

In the laundromat

Christian gagged as he went through some nasty clothes. “Oh, I hate this so much!!!!”

Christopher entered. “How goes it, cuz?”

“Another day, another nasty bucket of clothes I get to wash!”

“I have to tell you something…I know we never agreed to be exclusive or anything but we mostly were.”

“You found someone else, yeah?”

“No, well maybe, I got asked on a date. That guard Ayden, he asked me to dinner and well, I said yes.”

“It’s not up to me, is it? You're gonna do what you want while I sit here and wash clothes, so why did you even bother?”

“I thought you oughta know, Christian.”

“Just get out.”

Christopher sighs and leaves.

Christian sighs and dumps the bucket into the washing machine.

At Jaeden’s house.

Wyatt was drinking a beer when Jaeden returned home. “Hey babe.”

“Hey.”

“How many is that today?”

“It doesn’t fucking matter……I’m going to bed.”

“Wyatt, I had paperwork to finish, I can make us dinner!”

“It’s 10 PM. I ate hours ago, see ya.”

Jaeden sighed.

Jake stepped out of a restaurant. “That was great.”

Cruz smiled. “I thought so too, date number 4 in the books.”

Jake kissed Cruz and Cruz kissed him back.

“See you at the next one.”

“Uh, would you like to pop by mine for a drink?”

Jake blushed. “Ohhh, I…”

“You don’t have to, there is no pressure!”

“No, yeah, I would love that!”

Jake follows Cruz back to his apartment.

“It’s small ya know, just me in here but I got the bloody booze so we are set!” Cruz pours Jake a glass.

Jake smiled. “Cheers.”

Cruz smiled. “Cheers.”

After a few drinks, Cruz spilled on his shirt. “Oh bloody hell, oh well.” Cruz pulled off his shirt and Jake felt his cock harden as he looked upon Cruz’s defined body.

Jake purposely spilled on himself. “Uh oh, I have to take mine off too.” Jake took off his shirt.

“I think we have had enough to drink.” Cruz sat on the couch and stared at Jake.

“I think so too.” Jake stared at Cruz then closed the gap between their lips and started making out with Cruz. Cruz soon took control, pushing Jake down onto the couch and grinding into him. Jake smiled and melted into Cruz’s loving and they got down to business.

Chapter 2: Love sweet Love

Macsen stabs a zombie in the gord.

Ben shoots one down. “Boom.”

“Supply runs are so much better without Gavin on them. I am sorry to seem like a dick or whatever.”

Ricardo shakes his head. “Not at all, we wanted Gavin off for ages.”

Jamie laughs. “It was just a matter of time before he broke.”

Ben shakes his head. “It’s not a laughing matter, the poor kid was traumatized. He blames himself for Lev and Noah and sure, it was partly his fault, he did not deserve what he got.”

A zombie in a fedora comes chomping at them. Ben quickly disposes of the fedora-clad member of the Dead. The four men continue towards town as the fedora hits the ground, landing in a puddle of blood.

Back at Woodbine

Gavin was leaning on the RV. “Yooo, yoo, yoo, it’s your GOAT, Gavin!!!”

Griffin looked at him weird. “Can I help you, Gavin?”

Gavin nodded. “Well yeah, I am joining you guys on recruitment. Isn't that so exciting?”

“Macsen tells me you froze up out there and got Noah killed.”

Gavin gulps. “Macsen is mistaken.”

“I don’t think he was, kid.”

Gabe glared at Preston. “Hey now, play nice.”

Griffin nodded. “Yeah, we are happy to have more people searching for help. Come along, we have to go check on the quarry.”

Gavin asked. “Quarry?”

Preston sighed. “Sit back mate, you will soon see.”

They load up into the RV and drive off.

“Dinner, huh, Chris?”

Christopher nodded. “Yeah, I am excited…I think my little cousin is a bit upset about it though.”

“Why would you say that?” Dr. Moore asked, stocking medical supplies.

“Well he got real pissy with me when I mentioned it.” Chris threw gauze into a bin.

“People react to relationships in strange ways. I did a bit of psychology in college but I never got far. From what you tell me, it feels like Christian is projecting, meaning he seems upset about one thing but in reality he is upset about another thing.”

Chris nods. “Very insightful.”

Ayden knocked. “You ready to go on our date?”

Chris smiled and looked to Jack.

Jack nodded. “See you in the morning.”

“Thanks, Dr. Moore!” Ayden held the door as Chris excitedly exited.

Dash fucked Walker hard.

Maxwell pulled off his shirt and pants, crashing into the bed. “Exhausting.”

Matt stripped down to his boxers, joining Maxwell in bed. “Oh really?”

Maxwell sighs. “I fucking hate this job, why did he give it to me?”

Matt rubbed Maxwell’s shoulders. “I don’t know, my love, but I do know that he probably had a good reason to.”

Matt nods. “I know lots of things, like how much you love this!” Matt starts hickeying Maxwell’s neck.

Tait crashed onto his pillow. “Wow, that was something.”

Kiefer smiled. “It was a great idea, wasn’t it?”

Tait nods. “It sure was.”

Walker and Stefan were getting dressed. “We should do that again, dudes!”

“Yeah thanks for the invite, Kief!”

“Yeah, don’t mention it.”

“Tait, I love that thing you do with your tongue. I can't wait to do it again.”

Tait and Kiefer smile as the blondes leave and start making out themselves.

Jaeden entered his bedroom.

Wyatt was laying in bed nude “Hey stud!”

“Not mad at me today?”

Wyatt laughed. “Why would I be mad? You are my husband and the man of my dreams, why would I ever be mad?” Wyatt walked up to Jaeden and started making out with him.

Jaeden found himself confused but not at all opposed to this dramatic change in attitude from his husband and he absolutely loved it. “Mmmm, does Wy want me to fuck him hard as I can?”

The RV pulled up to the quarry. “Down there, GOAT Boy, is thousands of the Dead.”

Gavin gulped. “I’m not scared, GOATs like me don’t get scared.”

Preston nodded. “Good, because we will be taking a closer look in the morning!”

Gavin about shit himself. “I got this, yeah, I so got this!”

Griffin stood up. “Get some rest, men, we will investigate further in the morning. For now, get some shut eye.” Griffin and Gavin drift off.

Chapter 3: Relieving the Tension

Macsen and Ben were fighting off a group of the Dead. “Watch your 6, babe!”

“I got you, Macs!!!” Ben stabbed one of the Dead coming at him.

Jamie and Ricardo were also fighting as the horde was building up. “GHEISARS, MEET BACK AT THE HEAD OF TOWN!!” Ricardo screamed.

Macsen grabbed Ben and they ducked into a building. Several fedora-clad zombies were in the building; Macsen and Ben quickly dealt with them.

“Are fedoras like a common thing in Iowa, Macs?”

“Not to my knowledge, Benny Boi.” The walls were cracking around them. “This building is so unstable, we need to get out of here!”

Ben took a deep breath and grasped Macsen’s hand tightly and they ran out of the building as fast as they could, just as the entire pharmacy crashed around them. “Well, holy fuck!”

“Yeah, Ben, that was intense!!!”

“Let us try to find the others.” Ben and Macsen went looking for Ricardo and Jamie.

Back in Woodbine

Maxwell handed Jaeden a file. “Thank you, Maxwell.”

“Jaeden……I’m done.”

“What do you mean, I need more paperwork…”

“No, I mean I am done being your assistant. I don’t know what you were thinking or what you intended out of all of this, but this…this paperwork errand boy, it’s not me. I am meant to be out there hunting and defending the people, not fetching you fucking coffee.”

“Which is exactly why you are here.”

“I don’t understand.”

“Of course you don’t…think about it though, you watch me everyday, you know my routine, I keep you in the loop regarding all Woodbine business……Maxwell, you were never my secretary……you are my protege.”

“I…oh…you are grooming me to…succeed you, but why?”

“Because Maxwell…I don’t have forever and I need someone I can trust to take over Woodbine, and it sure as shit ain’t Wyatt…you are a born leader, Maxwell Jenkins. The moment I met you, I knew you were the perfect guy to take over.”

“You are hiding something still.”

Jaeden nods. “Yeah…I am. Last July, I went into Dr. Moore with a throbbing headache, you know I get those.”

“Yeah, I do.”

Jaeden thinks back.

“Give it to me straight, Doc.”

Jack sits down. “My prognosis, well, it’s grim……you……you have a brain tumor.”

Jaeden nods. “That would explain the frequent headaches.”

“It’s growing at a stable rate…I don’t have the capability to stop it, we just don’t have the resources. Any operation would kill you.”

“How long do I have?”

“A year, then the pain will become unbearable, you won’t be able to function…and at that point…”

“You recommended going out right…bullet to the head.”

“I was going to say lethal injection, but you got the idea, yeah…death will be a release.”

Present Day.

“That was July…it’s March and the headaches are getting worse already, Maxwell. Finding you and your people was such a joy to me because I knew Woodbine would prosper even when I am not here to see it; you, Maxwell, you will lead them and I can say this, you will be a better leader than I ever was.”

Maxwell tears up. “I feel awful, dude, I had no idea.”

“Yeah, and I would like it to stay that way. I really don’t want the public to know I am dying…only three people in the world know. Myself, Doc and you, not even Wyatt.”

Maxwell nods. “Your secret is safe with me.”

“Thank you, Maxwell.”

“Don’t mention it.”

Maxwell smiled and resumed his paperwork, looking out the window seeing Matt and Dash patrolling.

Matt looked up and smiled back.

Elsewhere.

Preston, Gabe, Griffin and Gavin approached the quarry, looking at the thousands of the Dead in the quarry below. They approached the creaking, cracking semi truck.

Gavin gulped. “That thing is gonna fall within weeks!”

“Awwww, is big mister GOAT boy scared?”

“Shut up, asshole!”

“Enough, we have bigger things to worry about.” Griffin said, investigating the semi wreckage.

Gabriel, who was clutching his katana tight, examined it closely too. “We might be able to prolong the process a bit…if we can alleviate some tension from the hood, but to do that we would need to get those Dead off the front.”

“That’s far too risky.” Griffin said, shaking his head.

“It’s a risk I am willing to take.”

Preston nodded. “I’ll provide backup with my crossbow.”

Gabriel carefully climbed up the semi and down onto the hood. He started stabbing at the Dead.

Preston provided crossbow fire.

Griffin stood carefully watching the creaking semi. “GABE, I DON’T LIKE THIS!!”

Gabe sliced a head off. “It’s working, I can already feel the tensions releasing!!”

Gavin watched and clutched his gun. “I am the GOAT.”

“Great for you, GOAT Boy.” Preston fired a few more arrows.

Gabe took a deep breath and looked at Preston and smiled.

Preston smiled back.

“This is taking too long, I’ll help him!”

“GAVIN, DON’T!!!” Preston shouted as Gavin climbed onto the semi, throwing off it and Gabe's balance!

Gabe regained his footing. “GAVIN!!!”

“FEAR NOT, YOUR GOAT IS HERE TO SAVE YOU!” He fired at the dead!

Gabriel swung at the dead as best he could and Gavin fired at them.

Preston was breathing heavily, watching the semi.

The semi cracked hard and became detached; as this happened, Gavin went tumbling straight into Gabe and then they fell into the horde!!!!!!

“GABRIEL!!!” Preston charged at the semi that tipped over into the quarry!

Griffin held back the crying. “Preston, I am sorry, they are gone!!!”

The horde could be seen pulling guts out and eating them up and a bloody katana went flying, landing at Preston’s feet.

Preston broke down crying. The horde saw him and now they had a clear pathway to get to them and Woodbine!

Griffin tugged and pulled at Preston. “WE HAVE TO GO!!!”

Preston, a crying mess, ran with Griffin back to the RV but the horde was hot on their tails.

The camera panned back to Gabe’s katana as the horde walked over it and then it faded to black.

Chapter 4: Town Hall Meeting

Macsen and Ben were looking around. “Any sign of Jamie or Ricardo?”

Macsen shook his head. “No, they were supposed to be here but they weren’t?”

Ben nods. “It is very weird that they didn’t come to the rendezvous point. Do you think something may have happened to them?”

“Don’t jump to the worst conclusion, babe. I am sure they just got into some scuffle.”

Ben nods. “Yeah, they will be just fine, we just need to retrace our steps and we are bound to run into them at some point!”

Exactly 10 fedora-clad zombies came at them, ready to eat them up. “Shit.” Macsen fired his gun and Ben swung his dagger, killing the fedora-clad zombies.

“What the fuck is up with these fedoras?!?”

“I don’t know, but this is too weird to be…I don't know a coincidence.”

“Ohhhh, how right you are.” Four men in matching suits, sunglasses and fedoras came out of the alley holding tommy guns.

Ben and Macsen stood back to back, daggers in hand “Gentlemen, we don’t need to have a fight here.”

One smiled. “Oh, how right you are……allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gavin MacIntosh, leader of the Fedora Gang. This here is my husband.”

“Hayden MacIntosh.”

“And these two intimidating-looking gents are Mister Daniel and Logan DiMaggio-Pepper and you two are now our prisoners!!”

Macsen laughs. “The fuck we are!!!”

“We could just kill you both right here, but that is not what we want. We know all about your community and we want to take it. We will use you two as leverage to claim what we want…WOODBINE FOR THE FEDORAS!!!”

Ben shakes his head. “We will fight you.”

Gavin nods. “Then you will die!!”

Hayden smirks. “Can we kill um, babe?”

Gavin nods. “Kill them!”

Ben and Macsen nod and duck as they open fire upon them. They dodge all the bullets and swerve into a building!

“FOLLOW THEM, AND SEIZE THEM, ALIVE OR DEAD!”

Daniel and Logan chase them into the building, firing at them.‘

Ben and Macsen squeeze into a cupboard and push their lips together so as not to make noise, literally breathing for one another.

“COME OUT! IF YOU SURRENDER YOU JUST MIGHT LIVE!!!” Daniel said, firing his gun.

“It doesn’t have to be this way, we don't want to kill you but we need a home and you guys have one.”

An Hour later.

Daniel and Logan shook their heads. “We can’t find um, Gav.”

Gavin screamed and opened fire upon a group of the Dead coming towards them. “Fine, they want to play this game, we will take Woodbine by force!!!” Gavin looks right at the camera. “Whatever it Takes.” The Fedoras sneak off and once they hadn’t heard their voices for roughly an hour, Ben and Macsen come out of the cupboard. “We need to reach Woodbine and fast.” Ben and Macsen book it, literally running back to Woodbine.

Back at Woodbine

The RV pulled up to the gates. Sawyer opened the gates, then Preston and Griffin came in crying.

“What happened?”

Mason came out running. “Babe, you are back early.”

Griffin broke down crying in Mason’s embrace.

“Oh my sweet baby.”

Preston knocked on Maxwell’s door.

Matt answered. “Preston, we were just about to go to bed.”

Maxwell hopped out of bed. “Preston what happened?”

Preston tears up. “It’s Gabe……he……he’s……” Preston just breaks down crying.

Maxwell embraced him tightly. “Oh my god!!”

Matt joined the hug and helped Maxwell console the inconsolable Preston.

The Next morning.

“Coming this way.”

Maxwell noded. “Preston and Griff confirm it.”

“Jaeden, the people have a right to know.”

“Alright…I hear you both……are we sure they won’t, you know, turn a different way.”

“Jaeden!”

Jaeden nods. “Fine, I will call a town hall tonight……we will let the citizens know everything.”

Tait and Hayden listened as Maxwell explained the story. “You guys can organize to get everyone in the town center tonight.”

Tait nodded. “Don’t you worry about that.”

That night.

Everyone began gathering, having a grand old time laughing and joking, expecting some silly news.

“Thought about my question, Walkie Talkie?” Dash asked, holding Walker’s hand tight.

“I still need a little time to figure that one out, Daddy.”

“No rush.”

Landon smiled. “Preston, can I sit with you?”

“Lando…I am not in the mood for company.”

“I’m sor……”

“FUCK OFF!!!” He shoved Landon out of the way, storming off.

Wyatt looked at Jaeden. “Jaeden, something feels wrong with all of this…this is not a happy message is it?”

Jaeden shook his head. “Everyone, can I get your attention?” Everyone stopped talking and found their seats and looked up to Jaeden. Jaeden took a deep breath. “I can’t……Max, please.”

Maxwell nods. “Hey folks, for those of you who don’t know……Gavin Magnus and Gabriel Bateman are dead……they fell into a horde of over a thousand of the Dead and that horde has broke free and they are coming this way……we have a week, maybe two, before they reach our walls and we need to be ready for a fight when that day comes!”

Donlad laughs. “I missed the punchline?”

Ethan shakes his head.

Christian looks scared. “Over a thousand, we don’t stand a chance.”

Christopher goes over to him. “I’ll protect you.”

“No you fucking won’t, I want to learn to defend myself.”

Ethan steps up. “I’ll train you and anyone else on how to fight.”

Chapter 5: The Fedoras

Gavin MacIntosh woke up feeling risky and posted a suggestive full-frontal post for his OnlyFans. “Oh yeah, they are gonna love it, let's make it 50 bucks…and post!!!!” Gavin tossed his phone to his bed and it buzzed.

Gavin nodded. “I totally agree, Hayd, let’s meet up on, let's say the 20th of March at our favorite diner from our Fosters Days.”

Hayden smiled and sent a message. “I’ll be there.” Hayden put his phone down and looked at himself in the mirror. “Ugh, I need a haircut. Gavin hates long hair and I have to impress him!” Hayden got that haircut and eagerly booked his flight to San Diego.

March 20th 2022-The El Barro Diner

Gavin sat in their booth and smiled as Hayden entered. Gavin smiled wide and hugged Hayden tight. “Hey bro, I really missed you.”

“Glad to see you got back in shape……Good Trouble was, uh, well, not your best.”

“Glad to see you cut that greasy rat tail off!”

Hayden smirked and punched Gavin.

Gavin punched him back. “Let’s order our food.” Hayden and Gavin ordered their food; they found they were waiting for a very long time “What the fuck is that damn waitress doing, fingering her fucking pussy?”

“I mean maybe she’s subbed to you on OnlyFans!”

Gavin nods. “Everyone should be but not right now I am starving. I’ma go give this waitress a piece of my mind.”

Hayden smirked. “Yeah, give her some!!!”

“Byerly, you are actually the worst!” Gavin turned around and saw the waitress. She was pale and growling. “Lady, where the fuck is our food?!?”

She gnashed her teeth and was ready to eat Gavin up; she grabbed his shirt! Gavin was quick to react; he pulled back, ripping his shirt off his chest. He did a flip, grabbed a knife and jabbed it in her head!

“GAVIN!!!”

“HAYDEN…She was a zombie…it's happened, the government has tried to kill us off…no more rules except this, Hayden.”

“What’s that?”

“Kill or be Killed.”

8 Months Later.

Gavin was driving his motorcycle. Hayden, his now husband, held on tight. They were driving through the mountains in Colorado when they came across a tipped semi filled with the Dead; they came at them and they made quick work of them. These Dead were like nothing to them.

A few miles up.

“You hear that? It’s a ruckus, babe!”

“Logan, you are so weird but I knew that when I married you.”

“Oh stop being mister grumpy, they might need our help!!!”

“Alright, let’s go lend a helping hand, I suppose!” Daniel and Logan ran up to the semi as fast as they could, helping fight off a couple of zombies.

Gavin checked them out. “Who are you two?”

 

Daniel’s jaw dropped. “Uh, wow, we are Daniel and Logan DiMaggio-Pepper but you guys, you are JONNOR, the greatest couple of all time, it was you two who encouraged me and Logan to get together!”

“Of course we know you guys are Gavin and Hayden not Jude and Connor.”

“We have one rule, kill or be killed…we don’t trust people.” Hayden and Gavin pull out their guns and aim.

“WHOA, WE CAN BE A HELP TO YOU!!!”

“Yeah, we won’t question you, just let us live and you will have us to do your bidding!”

Daniel and Logan get on their knees and bow to Gavin.

Hayden looks at Gavin. “We could use some extra firepower. These hordes get thicker and thicker by the day.”

“Arise, I have chosen to spare you.”

Daniel smiles. “You won’t regret it.”

One Year Later.- A Shopping Mall in South Dakota

Gavin decapitated a zombie in one fell swoop.

Hayden gunned a bunch down.

Daniel and Logan stood back to back, stabbing at them. The group's clothes had become tattered and filthy. They ran into a store, a suit shop, and a bunch of fancy dressed zombies in fedoras cornered them when Gavin had an idea. “We can use um…everyone, find a suit and fedora!!!”

They did as they were told. “What is the point of this?”

Gavin shut Hayden up. “Follow my lead.” Gavin rubbed some guts on himself and the other three followed suit; this tricked the fedora-clad zombies into not eating them and the group followed the fedora-clad zombies for many miles, eventually ending up in Iowa, where the fedora-clad zombies split up and our four men looked at one another. “The Fedora Gang feels like an appropriate name.”

“That it does…we still have yet to find a permanent home though, Gavin.”

“We will, believe you me and when we do, we'll take it by force if necessary.”

A few months later.

The group was hiding out in an abandoned drug store in Missouri Valley.

Ben entered the store. “Macs, this looks like a good place for supplies.”

Macsen followed behind him. “The people of Woodbine will be grateful for this.”

Gavin smirked, looking at them. “Gentlemen, I think I know our next target for a potential home.”

Present Day

Jamie winced in pain. “I can’t walk any further!”

Ricardo helped Jamie sit down. “You twisted that ankle pretty bad, babe?”

“Ugh yeah, I’m sorry, Cardo……I’m dead weight, you need to leave me behind.”

“That’s never gonna happen, not ever. I love you, Jamie, and I am gonna get you home.”

Jamie smiled wide and pulled Ricardo into a passionate kiss.

Gavin, Hayden, Daniel and Logan surrounded the couple. “Hello. We are the Fedora Gang and you two are now our prisoners and you will get us into our new home Woodbine or you will die.” Gavin smirked.

Chapter 6: Preparing for Battle

Maxwell walked side by side with Matt, watching the troops readying for the upcoming battle. “Sawyer, Ayden, keep those eyes peeled. The second you see any sign of trouble, I am to be alerted straightaway!”

Ayden nods. “You got it, boss.”

Matt smiles. “Leadership looks great on you, it always has.”

“I just do what I have to.”

Matt nods. “Well babe, I think you are gonna need this.” Matt pulls out Maxwell’s machete hand.

Maxwell laughs. “Yes I will.” Matt helps Maxwell put it back on. “I hope I have not got too rusty.”

Matt shakes his head. “I know that’s not gonna be an issue.” They kiss passionately.

Dash was helping Jake and Cruz fortify the walls. “So mate, we need to tell you something.”

“Yes?” Dash asked

“I’m gonna be moving in with Cruz…if you don’t mind. No offense, it’s hard to sleep hearing Walker scream like that.”

Dash laughs. “You spend most nights with Cruz anyway…I am happy for you, Jake. After losing Billy, I didn’t know if you would love again.”

Jake nods. “I did not know either but Cruz has opened my heart up.” Cruz pulls him into a passionate kiss.

Dash smiled and saw Walker helping Landon with the rations.

Landon saw Dash coming over. “I’m gonna go see Preston, good luck.”

“Hey Walkie Talkie, do you need any help?”

“No I don’t, Dash…I can do my job without any help, you don’t need to baby me.”

“I was just offering, babe.”

“Just give me space!”

Dash nods. “Okay…I get it Walker, you don’t want to marry me?”

“I…I just I need time.”

Dash nods. “Take as long as you need…I’ll crash with friends until you figure it out.” Dash storms off.

“Dash, for fucks sake, ugh.”

Walker looked up at Kit. “Uh, maybe, he’s just asked me to marry him.”

Kit nods. “Let me guess, you don’t want to?”

Preston was fletching arrows.

“Yes, Gabe.”

“Yes I am, Preston, now punish me!!” He grabs Preston’s crotch.

Preston slaps Landon hard. “Don’t ever presume to speak to me again, Landon.” Preston takes his arrows and storms off.

“PRESTON!!!!” Landon slumps to the ground. “Well, shit.”

Christian was shirtless punching a punching bag held by Ethan Wacker, also shirtless. “Nice right hook, Christian.”

Christian screamed and kicked it to the ground. “DIE BAG, DIE!!!!”

Ethan pulled him back. “Whoa there, there is such a thing as overkill, Sweet Tooth!”

Christian nods. “Got it. Did I do good though?”

Ethan nods. “Amazing.”

Christian rubs Ethan’s abs. “I hope one day I can have those abs.”

“Keep working and one day you can, kid.”

Christian drops to his knees.

“Whoa, what are you doing?”

“I’m gonna suck your dick.” He pulls it out. “Look at how hard it is!!!” Christian starts deepthroating it.

“We can and will, these people and us. We are tough, a few guys in fedoras and some zombies aren’t gonna hold us back.”

Walker nods. “I for one am looking forward to getting out of this place and fighting for our community.”

Stefan adjusts his holster. “Same here, this will be the fight of our lives and we gotta be ready.”

Tait nods. “We will be.”

Griffin enters Mason’s church. “Babe, are you gonna hole up in here?”

Mason nods. “I shall pray to the Lord and he will bless our people, he will protect our people and our community.”

Griffin hands Mason a pistol. “I know you hate them, babe…but you need to have it in case of an emergency.”

Mason nods. “Got it.”

Jaeden looked out his window. “The people are strong and I think with Maxwell in charge, they will be okay.”

Maxwell and Matt were talking to Ben and Macsen about the battle outside.

Wyatt shakes his head. “Babe, you do see what he has done? Maxwell has finessed you and taken over your city, he stole it right from under you and you just let him take it!”

Jaeden shakes his head. “You are far too cynical, Wyatt. I stand by my decision!”

“Sure, he will defend us…but he’s not gonna give up this power when the battle is over. Mark my words, Jaeden……you have given all your power to him.”

“So be it.”

Wyatt shakes his head and pours himself a scotch.

Chapter 7: A Hostage Situation

Gabe’s bloody katana glistened in the sunlight, the last horde still stepping over it. A bloody hand grabs it, picks it up and swings it at the Dead around him. It was Gabe!!!

5 Days Earlier

Gavin went tumbling into Gabe and they fell into the horde!

 

“GABRIEL!!!” Griffin tugged at Preston.

Gabe lost grip of his katana and it went flying as they hit the ground hard.

Gavin landed on top of Gabriel and the horde began to devour him right on top of Gabe!

Gabe teared up and had to think quickly as the zombies ate Gavin up. Gabriel saw the semi trailer door was opened and he stealthily crawled into the open thing.

The zombies saw him and grabbed at him and clawed at him, but he slammed the door behind him. He was covered in blood and guts and sweating; scared for his life, he crawled to the back side of the trailer, crying as he did so.

Gabe hid in there for five days; luckily there were a few bottles of water he was able to stay hydrated off of. Once most of the horde had gone, he bust out of the trailer and went and dealt with the last few stragglers, picking up his iconic katana and dealing with them like carving a cake. Gabe looked at Gavin’s mutilated corpse; what was left there was nothing left to reanimate, just a devoured carcass, unrecognizable. Gabe broke down crying.

After a good cry, Gabe tried to get his bearings, unsure of which direction to go.

Gabe thought of Preston’s screams. “GABRIEL!!!”

Gabe teared up. “I am alive out here, babe, and I’m coming home to you.” Gabe clutched his katana and wiped some of the blood off and began his journey home.

The horde was closing in and moving fast; they would reach the gates of Woodbine within the next couple of days at this rate. But that was not the only problem we had; oh no, the Fedoras were only a matter of hours from the gates of Woodbine!

Daniel and Logan kept their guns laser-focused on Ricardo, who was carrying Jamie on his back.

Gavin smirked, wrapping an arm around Hayden. “My love, our years of suffering are coming to an end and soon we will have a home.”

Hayden smiles. “I am excited!” Hayden kisses Gavin.

“What will become of our people!?!”

Gavin smiles. “One of a few things: option A, we give them you and you lot abandon Woodbine or swear absolute fealty to me; anyone who bends the knee will be spared…those who don’t will be given a choice, banishment or execution. And if they don’t choose this option well then, it will be option B……I will have to kill every last one of you, then use your corpses as my meals for the next year!!”

Jamie looks mortified. “You are insane!”

“NO! I just do what I must to protect my people, my men need a home and you have one!”

Ricardo scoffs. “If you had just asked for help, we would have taken you in but no, you chose the method of violence when there was no need.”

“THERE WAS A NEED, WE DON’T TRUST PEOPLE. IT IS KILL OR BE KILLED!!!!”

“You will find you are underestimating the might of Woodbine.”

“You will find I don’t care and personally I hope you guys pick option B. I am hankering for a massacre!!” Gavin laughs evilly.

Three Hours Later.

Macsen and Ben stood on the wall and they spotted the Fedoras. “MAXWELL, THEY’RE HERE!!!!!”

Maxwell, Preston, Matt and Dash run up into the guard tower. “Hostages, shit.”

Gavin grabs Jamie, holding a gun to Jamie's head. “GIVE US WOODBINE OR WE WILL NOT ONLY KILL THESE TWO BUT WE WILL SLAUGHTER YOU ALL!”

Hayden laughs, pointing his gun at Ricardo. “You can fire upon us and kill us all, but not before we kill these fine gents in the process.”

Daniel and Logan smirk.

Gavin smirks. “Your move, Woodbine”

Maxwell looks furious and looks at the people beside him. Maxwell opens his mouth.

Chapter 8: No Time Left

Maxwell stares at Gavin. “We don’t negotiate with madmen with guns, we are not intimidated by you.”

Gavin laughs. “YOU THINK I’M BLUFFING, DO YA?!?” Gavin shoves Jamie to the ground and cocks his tommy gun. “I WILL END THIS MAN'S LIFE RIGHT NOW AND YOU KNOW WHAT? I’M GONNA ENJOY IT!!!”

“Preston.”

Preston nods and shoots an arrow through Gavin’s neck.

Gavin coughs up blood as he falls to the ground.

Hayden screams. “GAVIN, NOOOOOOO!!!!” He unloads 40 rounds into Ricardo!!!

Ricardo looks at Jamie.

Jamie tears up. “CARDO!!!!”

Ricardo falls to the ground, dying.

Hayden dodges an onslaught of bullets and arrows from the defenders. “DANIEL, LOGAN, KILL THEM ALL!”

Daniel looks at Logan and nods as they turn their guns upon Hayden, killing him dead!!!! “We request forgiveness!!”

“We are sorry!!!”

Jamie screams. “NO, YOU PEOPLE KILLED MY CARDO!!!”

Maxwell looks at Matt. “Matt, escort them directly to a cell. Dash, escort Jamie to the doc.”

Matt and Dash nod, doing as they were bid. Daniel and Logan toss their guns to the ground willingly as they find themselves handcuffed and taken to the jail.

Dash walks the crying Jamie to the Doc to check out his leg.

Maxwell, Preston, Ben and Macsen exit the gates to deal with the bodies.

Gavin, now a zombie, jumps up and claws at them.

Preston unloads an arrow straight into his head, killing him dead.

Macsen stabs Ricardo in the head stopping him from turning.

Ben does the same for Hayden.

Maxwell nods. “Take the bodies inside, we will bury them later. For now, we must continue to prepare for the onslaught of the Dead, the horde that is coming to get us all.”

Soon after.

Maxwell enters the jail and sees Dainel and Logan behind bars. “They have been nothing but cooperative which leads me to believe they followed out of fear rather than genuine passion.”

Maxwell nods. “We will deal with them at the appropriate time and that time is not now. We have a ton of work to do, come on, Matt.”

In Jaeden’s office.

Wyatt stormed in. “JAEDEN THEY KILLED TWO MEN AND GOT RICARDO KILLED IN THE PROCESS, THIS IS WHAT I FEARED, LETTING THESE SAVAGES RUN RAMPANT!!!”

Jaeden was crying, his head throbbing. “Babe, please don’t shout…”

Wyatt changed his tune. “Babe, what is wrong?”

“Ohh, my head…my head…my head.” Jaeden screams in pain.

“I will fetch the doc!!!!” Wyatt runs to get Jack.

Jack and Chris were treating Jamie’s leg when Wyatt burst in. “Wyatt?”

“JAEDEN IS SICK, COME QUICK!!”

Jack sighs. “Shit, Chris, take care of Jamie, then meet me at Jaeden’s office.” Jack runs with his supplies to Jaeden.

Soon after.

Christian swallowed Ethan’s load. “That was tasty.”

Ethan smiled. “Best blowjob I have ever had, kid.”

Christian smiled and looked out as he saw Chris running. “Thanks, uh, we should maybe work on fighting.”

Donlad nods. “I’ll say! I got here like 20 minutes ago and y'all have just been moaning and groaning!”

Ethan nods. “Yes, back to the task at hand.”

Meanwhile,

Landon saw Preston tossing the bodies to the ground of Gavin and Hayden, gently placing Ricardo’s down. “Preston, I am sorry about earlier.”

“Just leave me alone, Landon…you and I are never gonna be a thing, I don’t like you that way, never have, never will. You need to get that through your thick ginger skull, move on and grow the fuck up.” Preston shoves past him.

Landon tears up.

Walker was a moaning mess as Kit fucked him good and hard.

“Oh bloody hell…cumming!!!!!”

Kit does just that. “That was amazing, love……I can’t wait to do it again.”

Walker nods. “Yeah……me too.” He thinks about Dash.

Along the border walls.

Cruz nods. “I think these fuckers will bloody well hold.”

Jake smiles. “We did this, you did this, Cruz.”

“Ah well, I couldn’t have done any of it without you, my love.”

Jake pulls Cruz into a passionate kiss and they start making out.

Jake thought of Billy; he could see him smiling. Jake teared up as he remembered Billy’s lifeless corpse hitting the ground. Jake looked to his left and saw Billy walking and talking with Jentzen; he ran to him!

Billy smiled. “Can I help you?”

Jentzen looked at him. “Why are you looking at Sawyer like he’s a ghost?”

Sawyer laughs. “Maybe I am, ooh spooky!”

“I…sorry.”

Cruz caught up with him. “Babe, you all good?”

“Yeah I…just let’s get back to work.”

Maxwell was doing the rounds, checking out any and everything.

Griffin was teaching Mason how to shoot a gun.

Tait, Kiefer, Walker, Stefan and Hayden were practicing their daggering skills.

Maxwell nodded as he walked up to Matt. “I think we got this, Matt. These people have a passion and a drive to protect their city…these are our people now and we got to defend them.”

Matt smiles. “You will, we all will.”

Macsen, Ben, Dash, Jake, Walker, Kit and Preston walk up, ready to fight. “For Gabriel.”

Maxwell smiles and nods. “For Gabriel.”

In Jaeden’s office.

Jaeden laid on his couch shirtless and sweating but shivering nonetheless, his head throbbing in pain. Jack was checking his vitals as Chris tucked him in a blanket.

Wyatt asked. “What the hell is wrong?”

“Wyatt…he has a severe brain tumor and it will kill him within the month……he didn’t want you to know…all we can do is protect him and keep him comfortable until he passes into the great beyond.”

Wyatt tears up. “Leave us.”

Jack and Chris nod and do just that.

Wyatt sits next to Jaeden taking his hand. “Why did you not tell me?”

Jaeden looks at Wyatt, unable to speak, just crying.

Wyatt breaks down crying, holding Jaeden’s hand as tight as he can.

Elsewhere

Gabriel climbed a tree and looked around. He spotted the horde moving way faster than he would have liked. “Shit man, shit!” He looked further into the distance and he could see the outline of a town……Woodbine. “They have until tonight……I hope they are prepared……I’m coming, Presty.”

In Woodbine, Maxwell stood side by side with Matt and clasped his hand tight; as the sunset and night fell, they stood ready.

Macsen was using binoculars and he spotted them. “Ben.” He hands them off to confirm it.

Chapter 9: No Way Out

The horde descended upon the walls of Woodbine and were very quickly being shot at by everyone on the walls. Maxwell, Matt, Macsen, Ben, Dash, Jake, Walker, Cruz, Kit, Kiefer, Tait, Griffin, Ethan, Christian, Donlad, Walker, Stefan, Hayden, Ayden, Sawyer, Jentzen, and Preston, all defending the community. “Keep firing, men, we can thin this horde out!!!”

The horde did begin to spread out and bang on the wall. They saw these meals and they wanted more than anything to eat them all up. But our people were strong and mighty, firing upon the Dead like they were just still targets.

Maxwell looked around at all the people firing in the dead of night, shooting these zombies one by one.

Ryker, Holden, and Landon were in the church sitting with Mason, praying for the safety of their community.

Jack and Christopher were readying the medical supplies, doing everything they could to be ready for anything.

The Dead kept pounding upon the gates and walls of Woodbine but they were being killed just like that; however, as efficient as this was proving, they were running low on ammo.

Donlad, who was standing right next to the gate, slipped as the gate creaked and fell to his death!

“DONLAD!!” Ethan screamed as he watched his co-worker being devoured. But they had worse problems. Enough pressure had been put upon the gate that it fell off its hinges and the Dead came flooding into the city!

Maxwell’s eyes widened. “FIGHT THEM OFF, USE YOUR DAGGERS, MACHETES, SWORDS, WHATEVER YOU HAVE! DON’T LET THEM GET YOU, KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!!!!”

The group split up a bit, working their way through the horde, chopping them down so as not to get eaten by them.

Matt and Maxwell stood back to back, slicing down the Dead like cake. Bodies fell, heads went flying, blood was splattered everywhere but they stood tall, fighting them off.

Ben and Macsen fought in a similar stance, daggering the dead quick and efficiently.

Everyone was fighting but there was no rest, the horde kept growing and thickening. “JENKINS, THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THEM.”

“KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, OLIVER.”

Preston nodded and stabbed at the dead, fighting all for his Gabriel.

Griffin ran into the church. “Babe!!!”

“Come to pray with us, my love……” Mason’s eyes widened as the Dead poured into his church.

Griffin was swinging at the Dead, chopping and slicing at them.

Mason grabbed the gun and looked at it; he saw the Dead and his struggling lover. “I’m coming, babe!!!!” Mason fired his gun, killing several of the Dead.

Landon, Ryker and Holden hid behind them, crying and scared.

“I have to get the hell outta here!!!”

“HOLDEN!!!” Ryker screamed as Holden ran off.

Holden shoved a few of the Dead but he was quickly overwhelmed and eaten, his blood splattering all over the church walls!

Ryker and Landon found weapons and helped to fight off the Dead.

Outside, the horde was still coming in and our people grew weary but they could not rest, they had to fight. Christian, who was very scared, was stabbing at the Dead. “I got this…you got this, Sweet Tooth!!!”

Ethan was a machine, stabbing at the Dead, slicing them all down; he looked over to Christian who was being surrounded.

Christian was freaking out. “Oh god!!!!” He stabbed a few more but one grabbed him.

Ethan jumped in there and pushed Christian into a safe clearing. “GET OUT, CHRISTIAN!!!!” Ethan fought the Dead to his last breath but it became too much and he got bit, he kept fighting and fighting until they tackled him to the ground.

Christian teared up, making a run for it, but he was being chased and more Dead overwhelmed the young boy. “HELP!!!!”

Christopher heard his cries and saw Christian right outside the medic’s office. “CHRISTIAN!!!” Christopher picked up one of the tommy guns the Fedoras had brought and he ran outside, firing upon the Dead until he ran out of ammo.

Christian looked up at Christopher. “You saved me!!”

“Of course I did, I love you…you fucking asshole!”

“I love you too!!!” They kissed passionately.

More Dead were coming at them and they ran inside!

Jack smiled and nodded.

Christopher held Christian tight.

Jentzen was fighting side by side with Ayden and Sawyer as the Dead surrounded them.

Tait, Kiefer, Walker B, Stefan and Hayden saw them struggling and ran to give a helping hand, stabbing and swinging at this horde of the Dead.

Jentzen stabbed at one and got bit then freaked out and bit a few more times.

Tait shook his head and aimed his gun then fired right at Jentzen’s head, putting him out of his misery.

Kit was going absolutely ape, tearing the things to shreds; he was not to be trifled with.

Walker looked upon Kit as he fired at the horde; he was a really good shot now.

Dash came running to his side. “Babe, I am here!!” Dash defended Walker.

“Oh my gosh, Dash……I don’t need defending all the time!!!”

“SHUT UP AND FIGHT, DAMN YOU!!!”

“I SLEPT WITH KIT!!!” Walker covered his mouth.

Dash froze and teared up. “You what……”

“I…I’m sorry…… Oh my god, look out, DASHHHHHH!!!”

Dash got bit in the neck!!!!!!

Dash was pulled down by the Dead and they tore him apart!!!!

Walker screamed. “DASH, I AM SO SORRY. DADDY, I LOVE YOU!!!” Walker screamed, going ape himself, killing tons and tons of the Dead.

Jake had heard Walker’s screams and he ran to see Dash who was being eaten.

Cruz looked at Dash. “Jakers, I am sorry but we can’t mourn right now, we have to fight.”

Jake could not even cry. He just thought of everything he had lost.

Billy, Bryce and Dash were standing right in front of him like ghosts, not saying anything.

Jake watched Cruz fighting the Dead, doing his best to defend him when he saw Zombie Dash stand up and come towards him.

Jake pulled out his gun and blew Dash’s brains out. He looked at Cruz, then at the ghosts. They all nodded and Jake turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head, killing himself.

Cruz screamed. “JAKERS!!!!” Cruz cried but composed himself, fighting off the Dead.

Walker had lost his ape and ran and hid, crying in a corner as he blamed himself for what happened to Dash.

Maxwell, Preston, Matt, Macsen and Ben found themselves in the center of town, swinging at the Dead, doing everything they could to save the city.

Wyatt stood in Jaeden’s office. “They are gonna break in, we need to get you outta here, babe.”

Jaeden shook his head. “It’s too late for that now…get out of here while you still can.”

Wyatt shakes his head. “No, I won’t leave you.”

Jaeden stands up. “You must.” He pulls him into a passionate kiss and they both tear up.

Wyatt shakes his head. “There is still time!”

“There is No Way Out…not for me, go out the back. GO!!” He shoved Wyatt out the back door just as the Dead burst into his office.” Jaeden turned to them and watched them come at him. He grabbed his dagger and chose to go out fighting rather than let the sickness take him. He screamed and used all his strength to fight the Dead, defending his city from these zombie invaders with his last breath.

Gabriel came running into Woodbine, swinging his katana around, slicing the Dead up as the sun rose upon a new day. “PRESTON!!!!!”

Preston was firing his crossbow shooting the Dead when he heard his name called. He looked over and saw his katana wielding lover!!!! “GABRIEL!!!!!!!!”

“PRESTON!!!!!!”

“GABRIEL!!!!” They ran into each other's embrace, hugging and then kissing passionately as the others protected them.

Maxwell punched Preston in the arm. “Bro, horde.”

Preston nods. “Right!!” He and Gabe pull apart and together they work to clear this horde out of their town.

Maxwell slices one with his machete hand.

Matt stabs one with his dagger.

Preston kills one with an arrow.

Gabe slices a head off.

Ben stabs one in the head.

Macsen drives a dagger into one's head.

Tait chops one down with a hatchet.

Kiefer slices one's head off.

Walker Bryant stabs one in the head.

Stefan drives a dagger through one's head.

Kit rips out one's spine and bashes one over the head with it.

Walker had come out of hiding and sliced a head off.

Sawyer stabbed one in the head.

Ayden stabbed one in the head.

Cruz sliced one's head off.

Griffin chopped one in half.

Mason stabbed one in the head.

Landon stabbed one in the head.

Ryker stabbed one in the head.

Wyatt came out to join the fight, stabbing one in the head.

Soon, the horde had been dealt with for the most part and our group found a moment to breathe as they had won the battle…but at what cost.

Chapter 10: After

Maxwell, Matt, Preston, Gabe, Ben and Macsen were clearing out the last of the horde around Woodbine. They saw one last zombie eating away at a corpse; it was Jaeden.

Maxwell sighed and walked over to the zombie Jaeden. “I am so sorry this happened.”

Jaeden growled and gnashed his teeth.

“I will lead Woodbine to the best of my ability and lead the way you would have wanted.” Maxwell drives his machete into Jaeden’s head, killing him dead.

One Week Later.

They had worked hard to isolate the bodies of their loved ones from that of the horde; those bodies were carted off in dump trucks back to the quarry from whence they came. Preston held Gabe’s hand and together they used the lever and dumped bodies into the quarry, including that of Gavin and Hayden. Their bodies tumbled into the quarry, their fedoras flying off their heads and crashing into the quarry with that of the Dead.

Back in Woodbine.

Ricardo, Donlad, Holden, Jentzen, Ethan, Dash, Jake and Jaeden’s bodies had been placed into caskets and eight graves had been dug.

Everyone gathered and listened to Mason.

“Let us find solace in this time of grief, knowing that our friends and family now belong to the ages in the eternal kingdom of God, they leave us and their earthly bonds and now we shall forever seal them to the soil.”

Sawyer held Ayden’s hand tight as he looked upon Donlad for the last time, crying as he sealed the casket.

Hayden sighed as he closed Jentzen’s casket.

Jamie leaned down and kissed Ricardo one last time before sealing his casket for the last time.

Ryker cried hard. “I will miss you forever, Holden.” He sealed his casket.

Wyatt looked down at Jaeden. “Jaeden, why’d you have to go and leave me, you fucking asshole…I love you, sleep well.” He kissed him before sealing his casket.

The Converys looked down upon Ethan. “Ethan……thank you for everything, I owe my life to you, I won’t forget you.”

“Thank you for taking care of my Sweet Tooth…cheers to you, Wacker.”

Cruz was a crying mess as he ran his hands through Jake’s hair. “Oh Jakers.”

Maxwell looked down at Jake. “I hope you have found peace in the great beyond, you will never be forgotten, Jake Melrose.” Maxwell seals Jake’s casket.

Walker was an absolute mess, standing looking upon Dash. “Daddy…I will never forgive myself for this……my answer is yes……I will marry you, Dash……I was too scared to commit, it was something new to me, no one ever loved me. I was always just a fucking slut and that was fine but all that changed, you were the greatest man I have ever met……OH DADDY.” Walker breaks down crying and Maxwell embraces him tightly.

Ben walked up to Dash. “Say hello to Bryce for me, okay Dash?” Ben kissed Dash’s cheek, then Macsen walked up, rubbed his back and helped Ben seal Dash’s casket.

One by one, each casket was lowered into the ground as Dash’s was being lowered. Walker broke free from the embrace of people and hopped on Dash’s casket, refusing to let him go. “NOOOO!!!!!!” It took Maxwell, Matt, Preston, Gabe, Ben and Macsen to pry Walker off the casket long enough for them to lower him into the ground and then the burial began.

A few hours later the last grave was leveled off and everyone had left, except for Walker who stood silently at Dash’s graveside. Walker did this for weeks on end as spring turned into summer. Walker had hardly spoken to anyone; he spent the days just staring at Dash’s grave.

06/15/25

Cruz entered Maxwell’s office. “The last of the repairs are done, Jenkins.”

Maxwell nodded. “Thank you, Cruz.”

Matt entered behind him. “Hey.”

Maxwell pulled Matt into a passionate kiss. “How are things?”

“They are quiet and somber. It's been two months but everyone is still just heartbroken, especially Walker; the kid blames himself for everything that happened and no one can convince him otherwise. How are our street cleaners doing?” Maxwell looked outside at Daniel and Logan sweeping the streets.

“They are just happy to be out of the cell…How are you holding up, Maxwell.”

“I’m not……but everyone else is my priority. It is my job to stay strong for everyone else.”

Matt caressed his cheek. “And it is my job to take care of you.”

Maxwell nods. “Marry me?”

“What, you mean it?”

“Yeah, just a real quick thing with Mason…we bring our best men and we just do it…soooo, will you marry me?”

Matt smiled wide. “Of course I will marry you.” He pulls him into a passionate kiss.

Soon after in the church.

Preston, Macsen, Ben and Gabe clapped.

Mason smiles. “I now pronounce you Maxwell and Matthew Jenkins-Lintz, you may kiss!!”

Matt and Maxwell smile and kiss for the first time as a married couple.

Things were still somber among the people of Woodbine, but love was strong and the true sense of community was something that would never be broken…Woodbine strong.

That night.

Matt held his Maxwell tight as they slept.

Someone jumped in their window and approached them as he watched them sleep.

Matt and Maxwell jumped up butt-naked, grabbed their weapons and saw a man holding his hands up.

“Don’t shoot.” He dropped his weapons. “I come from Jefferson, we wish to establish trade relations with you……oh where are my manners? Pleasure to meet y’all, the name is Javon……Javon Walton but my friends call me Wanna.”

Matt and Maxwell looked at each other then back at Javon. “What the fu…”

Chapter 11: Wanna

Maxwell and Matt pulled on their boxers, never letting Javon out of their sight. “Who do you think you are, huh, breaking into our home, are you just insane?”

“I did not break anything, I am far too talented for that. Oh no, no, I just scaled the walls of Woodbine and located your house and opened your window and came inside and woke you guys up.” Javon walks into the kitchen and pulls a soda out and drinks it.

Matt grabs his cuffs. “Yeah okay, mate, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent……” Javon dodges Matt and his cuffs like they were nothing.

“Kid, that’s enough, if you cooperate, your life and my life is gonna be a whole lot easier.”

Javon shakes his head. “Mmm, ‘fraid not man, you see I roll like so, I don’t listen to nobody except me. Now, if y’all could put those weapons down and take me to your leader, it would be much appreciated.”

Maxwell approaches him. “I am the leader.”

Javon looks him over. “You look like a Calvin Klein model, I expected the leader to be some old dude, like 24 years old, fucking ancient in today’s standards.”

“Listen…Wanna, was it? My people are in a very bad place right now. We lost a lot of good people in a fight and right now some outsider breaking into houses in the dead of night is, well, not gonna go over well, in fact I think most people would be terrified.”

“Look bro, I am not a bad person. I come from Jefferson, Iowa on a peaceful mission, seeking to create trade relations with outside communities. We already have relations with several other groups along highway 30!”

“There are other communities in Iowa like this one?” Maxwell asked.

“So far we map five, including our good old Jefferson, you guys, the Mitigwa, the Hantesa and, well, another group we don’t discuss. They live at ISU and, well, they aren’t exactly friendly.”

Matt looks at Maxwell and Maxwell nods.

Matt handcuffs Javon. “Sorry mate.”

Javon sighs. “Fair enough.” Javon is escorted to the cell and Maxwell calls upon his most trusted advisers: Matt, Macsen, Ben, Preston, Gabriel, Tait, Kit and Griffin. He tells them the story of Javon and what he said.

Preston shakes his head. “I don’t like it, not one little bit.”

“It’s weird, but he seems like a good dude.” Ben said.

“Yeah, but so did Dylan, let us not forget his ass.” Gabe said.

“We had a very similar discussion when we first encountered Griffin and now look at him, he is here at this table with us.” Macsen said.

Griffin nods. “I am ever grateful to be included in your circle of trust, I had heard murmurs of other settlements but we never went out looking for em, Jaeden had his feelings about other communities and chose not to trust……I for one think that foolish.”

Kit nods. “Yeah mate, if they wish to trade with us I say why the bloody hell not, we need ammo and badly.”

“Look, the council will support your decision, of course. I will always stand by as your husband.” Matt held Maxwell’s hand tight and smiled.

Maxwell smiled. “Alright, let’s go meet with this Wanna.”

Javon entered the room. “Hello!”

“Jesus Christ!”

Javon handed Matt his cuffs. “So, what’s the word?”

“Alright, uh, Wanna right?”

“Yes, Wanna.”

“We want to be taken to Jefferson and we will discuss trade relations with your leader!”

Javon nods. “Very good, we will leave in the morning.”

The Next Morning.

Javon leaned on the gate, awaiting the group. Maxwell showed up with the rest of the council.

Tait was making out with Kiefer, saying his goodbyes.

Griffin hugged Mason tight.

Maxwell looked at Christopher and Christian. “Converys, I am leaving you in charge of the city while I am gone.”

Christian nods. “We got this!”

“Be careful, okay, we can’t lose anyone else.” Christopher said, hugging Maxwell.

Wyatt watched, glaring at Maxwell and his little council. “Leave and never return, you scum.”

Javon was eager to get to Jefferson. “Come along mates, we have a journey ahead and the people of Jefferson will be so happy to meet you.”

Javon exits Woodbine; Maxwell, Preston, Matt, Macsen, Ben, Gabe, Kit, Tait and Griffin follow him.

The group loads up into the RV as Griffin sits in the driver's seat. “Well, next stop Jefferson.”

Chapter 12: Jefferson

6/17/25-Outside the walls of Jefferson, Iowa

Javon looked over the group. “Ready up dudes, this is Jefferson.” Wanna hops out of the RV and strolls up to the gate. “Hey Cam, how are you doing?!?”

Cameron Brodeur and Ky Baldwin looked down at Javon. “Hey Wanna, who are these people?”

“These are from the city of Woodbine, they wish to speak with our leader.”

“Greetings, my name is Maxwell Jenkins and these are my friends and my husband. We come on a mission of peace, so please take us to your leader.

Cameron nods and opens the gate. Maxwell and the others enter Jefferson, a city much like Woodbine. Nicky Bechtel and Malachi Barton walked by, carrying baskets of apples laughing and chatting as they waved to Wanna and Maxwell and the group. Maxwell waved back. “How many are in your community?”

“We are a small community; we only have 15 people currently living here.”

Blake Talabis nodded, walking with Ethan Hwang and Dante Albidone. “Sup, Wanna.”

“Sup Dudes!!”

“Preston, what do you think?” Maxwell asked.

“I don’t know, they seem legit.”

Justin Paul Kelly waved to Wanna. “Hey Wanna, I see you brought guests.”

“Indeed I did, we should totally hang soon bro.”

“I’m free tonight, hot stuff.”

Wanna winked at Justin.

The group approached a mansion guarded by two men, Lincoln Melcher and Mace Coronel. “Wanna, who are these strangers?”

“Rest easy, Mace, they are friendly, we are going to our leader.”

Lincoln and Mace nod and open the doors, Wanna leads our group up a winding staircase towards an office; they enter and a blonde lad spins around in his chair.

“GREETINGS, GOOD PEOPLE OF WOODBINE, YOU HAVE ENTERED MY DOMAIN!” He hops on the desk. “Casey Simpson at your service!”

Jake Brennan entered the room. “Casey babe, no, stop jumping on the desk all the time.”

Maxwell extended his hand to Jake. “I take it you are in charge.”

“Jake in charge? Haha, the only thing he’s in charge of is this fine piece of cake before you!!!”

“You got that right…I have heard about you fine people, my name is Aidan Gallagher, President of Jefferson. I understand Wanna here thinks you would be a good group to trade with. Please, have a seat and we can discuss things.”

Maxwell nods. “Pleasure to meet you, Aidan, I am Maxwell Jenkins-Lintz, this is my husband Matt Jenkins-Lintz, my brother for life Preston Oliver, Gabriel Bateman, Ben and Macsen Gheisar, Tait Blum, Kit Connor and Griffin McIntyre, the council of the community of Woodbine. Wanna here sure is spry.”

“That he is, we are happy to trade with such fine gentleman as you. However, we do have a problem…The Cyclones.”

“The Cyclones?” Maxwell asked.

“Yeah, that’s what that not so nice group of men I was talking about call themselves.”

“They have built a base right here, just ten miles out of Jefferson…as if they hadn’t taken enough from us, the bastards.” Aidan got choked up thinking about them. “Now they want to watch us closer…I would ask that you and your men, with Wanna leading you, take this group of individuals out and hopefully the rest of the Cyclones leave Jefferson and Woodbine alone. I know you need ammo and we will provide it but the Cyclones are watching us. You can help us, so, what do you say? Do we have a deal?”

Maxwell pulls his group into discuss.

“This is not our fight.” Ben said.

Preston shook his head. “These Cyclones sound like massive pricks to me.”

Gabe nods. “They are probably on their way too Woodbine anyway,”

Macsen nods. “Yeah, these are valid points.”

“I say we give em one bloody hard fight.” Kit cracks his knuckles.

Griffin nods. “Defend our people and our town while also making a very strong ally.”

“So, what is the word?” Aidan asked eagerly.

“We will help you, but I feel like we need more firepower.”

“Of course. Wanna, let Cameron and Ky know they will be joining you on this covert expedition into the belly of the beast.”

“Sounds like a plan to me.” Wanna runs off.

Aidan shakes Maxwell’s hand. “We will not forget your kindness, Woodbine. I look forward to our long and prosperous relationship. Now get some rest, y’all are gonna need it.”

Maxwell nods. “Agreed.”

The group goes to the rooms and gets the rest they need or…

Preston fucked Gabe as hard as he could. “Yeah, take my dick, Gabey baby!!!”

Gabe moans. “Mmmm, I’m taking it.”

Preston kept fucking him. “So, are you ready for this fight, Bateman?”

Gabe smirked. “I am always ready for a fight, Blondie!!!!”

“Good!”

Ben pulled out of Macsen after cumming and crashed onto his chest. “That was as amazing as ever, babe!”

Macsen nods. “We still got it, babe.”

“I still don’t know about this fight, but I am happy to be a help. I just hope these Cyclones aren’t too hard to deal with.”

Chapter 13: The Ambush

Maxwell loaded ammo into his shotgun. “Are we ready to go?”

Javon, Cameron, Ky and another person enter the RV. “Oh, we haven’t been introduced. Pleasure to meet you, my name is Sebastian Croft. My friends call me Bash……KIT!!!”

Kit’s jaw drops. “Bash, bloody hell!!!” They embrace tightly.

Wanna laughs. “Damn, you know Bash.”

“I know him very well, we go way back.”

“We have to catch up, mate, how is Joe?”

Kit shakes his head. “Gone.”

Bash sighs. “That is absolutely bloody heartbreaking, but enough of the sob fest, let’s show these damn Cyclones we aren’t to be trifled with.”

Maxwell nods. “Griffin, take us out.”

Griffin nods. “It shall be done.”

Aidan waves goodbye.

They arrive not too long after, parking the RV out of the guards’ line of sight. “Everyone buddy up, stay with your partner, we get in and send the message not to fuck with us because we are able to defend ourselves!”

Bash teams up with Kit.

Tait teams up with Griffin.

Preston teams up with Gabe.

Ben teams up with Macsen.

Wanna, Cameron and Ky team up.

And of course, Maxwell and Matt team up, their mission is to send a message to the Cyclones. They scale the fences and shoot to kill, they had to send a strong message to the Cyclones, our teams run into the base, getting into gun fights and fist fights.

Tait sneaks up behind a guard and slits his throat. Griffin does a swift maneuver, shooting a few right in the head. Tait and Griffin fist bump and run into a room.

Kit ran up to one of the guards and snapped their neck. Bash ran up to one and, well, bashed their head into the wall a few hundred times.

Macsen and Ben ran into the cafeteria and pulled out the machine guns, courtesy of Jefferson, and gunned down these Cyclones. They put up a fight but our men were stronger.

Preston and Gabe entered a hallway and saw like 10 men come running at them, guns blazing. “You got left, I'll take right.”

Gabe swung his katana, straight up decapitating one of them. “Sounds like a plan, my love!”

Preston shoots one in the heart and runs up, rips that arrow out, jabbing it into the head of another one!

Gabe disembowels one, kicks him to the ground and does a jump maneuver, slicing one down the center of their head!

Preston unloads arrows into the rest before they run into the next hallway.

Javon was dodging bullets left, right and center, doing ninja-like moves, he grabs one and kicks him in the throat, punches him in the gut and then stabs him in the head using his blood splatter to slide into the next one, shoving his dagger up one’s ass and then Ky and Cameron gun him down.

Maxwell and Matt were fighting a big group of them off, Matt shooting and gunning them down, Maxwell slicing them up or shooting them. “DON’T FUCK WITH US, CYCLONES!!!!”

Matt grabs one by the neck and snaps his neck, and then shoots another one in the face.

Maxwell slits a throat and blood goes absolutely splattering all over him and the walls. Maxwell does a spin and unloads a few shotgun rounds into a few of these Cyclones.

Matt and Maxwell stood back to back killing these fools, proving they were not a force to be trifled with.

Preston and Gabe run into the room and help them mow down these fuckers.

Tait runs into the room, slitting one's throat, tossing him to Griffin who puts his gun in his mouth and shoots him, blowing his brains all over the floor.

A few tried to escape but Kit and Bash guarded the main exit, going ape on anyone who tried to escape!

Ben and Macsen were mowing down anyone who came within five feet of them!

Javon did a maneuver or two, jumping around, slitting throats, shooting fools in the head. “JEFFERSON IS DEFENDED, THIS IS JUSTICE FOR WHAT YOU FUCKERS DID TO MY BROTHER, JADEN WALTON!!!”

The Cyclones had a lot of people and they just kept running in, one blonde individual was dodging the swarm of bullets, running to an emergency exit. Maxwell saw him making a run for it. “HEY!!!” He runs after him, shooting at him, hitting him in the arm.

He clutches his arm and pulls out his pistol, firing upon Maxwell. Max jumps in, slicing his machete at him. He was about to slit his throat when he saw this blonde's face. It was Parker!!!!! “Parker……oh my god.”

Parker glares at him. “Maxwell Jenkins.” He headbutts him hard and then jumps out the window and runs off into the night.

Maxwell wipes the blood off his face, then runs to the window looking for Parker, but he’s gone.

“Babe, is everything okay?”

“No, Matt……I just saw Parker Bates……he’s alive and he is with the enemy. He escaped, I couldn’t kill him.”

“That is because you still care about him, he is one of our KOA brethren…but we need to get out of here. I think the Cyclones will get the message…don’t fuck with Jefferson or Woodbine.”

Maxwell nods. “Men, roll out!!!!” They leave the base having taken down all but one soldier.

Parker ran through the woods on a mission to alert the head Cyclone!

Chapter 14: The Return to Woodbine

Walker sat by Dash’s graveside. “How are you doing today…ohhh yes, that’s amazing, babe.”

Christopher and Jack walk up behind him. “He’s been like this for months, Jack.”

Jack nods. “Grief is a terrible thing, Christopher, and it depends on how deep it goes and how long the person will be in an unbreakable depression.”

Christopher rubs Walker’s back. “Hey bud, how are you?”

Walker smiles. “Me and Dash are having a grand old time, aren’t we, babe…we are prepping for the big day!”

“Big day?”

“Yes of course, you silly goose, our wedding day is just a few days away and oh my gosh, we have so much to do, don’t we, Dash!!!! Oh shut up, Jake, Cruz will ask you when he’s good and ready!!!”

Christopher tears up. “I can’t look at this.” He runs off crying.

Jack sighs. “Walker, buddy……you need to go home now.”

“I am home here with my husband-to-be……Walker Melrose, it just rolls right off the tongue, don’t it.”

Jack takes Walker’s hands. “Time to go to bed, buddy.”

Walker nods, in a state of true euphoria, as Jack leads him to his apartment. Jack sets Walker on the bed and hands him water. “Drink and rest up.”

Jack leaves and reality sets in. “Oh god…DASSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!”

Meanwhile, at the Gates of Jefferson

Casey sees the RV pulling up. “Ahh, look at that, Brennan, our people return VICTORIOUS!!!!”

Jake just laughed, opening the gates as our people disembarked from the RV. Cameron and Ky went straight into Jefferson as Aidan came to greet our people. “The Cyclones?”

Wanna nods. “I do not think they will ever doubt the might of Jefferson again!”

Aidan shakes Maxwell’s hand. “I can’t thank you enough, I look forward to a long and happy relationship between our two communities.”

“Me too, Aidan. Thank you, we really did need these supplies.”

Bash looks at Kit and then at Jefferson. “Gallagher.”

“Yes, Bash?”

“I won’t be returning to Jefferson, not for a while.” He looks at Kit. “Kit, I am bloody in love with you and I have been for sometime, I want to be with……”

Kit cuts him off by pulling him into an extremely passionate kiss. “I like you too, Bash.”

“Well, Maxwell, does Woodbine have room for one more?”

“That it does…everyone who is going to Woodbine, load up.” Matt kisses Maxwell as he sits down next to him.

Griffin smiles, looking back at the group. “Let’s get home, gents.” The RV turns towards Woodbine, driving off.

Aidan smiles, watching the RV drive off. “This calls for some of our best wine, Wanna.”

Wanna nods. “Ohhhh yes!” They enter Jefferson.

Soon After.

Ryker and Cruz were guarding the gates of Woodbine and they saw the RV pull up. “They are back!!!” Cruz said, smiling.

Ryker opens the gate and the reunions begin.

Mason hops right into Griffin's embrace and starts making out with him.

Kiefer smiles. “My Tait.” They kiss extremely passionately.

Christopher and Christian come to greet the group. “The city still stands!”

“We did not let it burn to the ground.”

Maxwell laughs. “I did not think you would, this is Bash btw.”

Bash smiles. “Pleasure to meet you.”

Christopher nods. “Welcome to Woodbine.”

Wyatt watched from afar. “Oh I see, they are just bringing in strays like they fucking own the place. I fucking warned you, Jaeden, and now look at this place, we are bringing in fucking refugees…I would not have let this happen.”

“I think you are right, Wyatt.” Wyatt turned to see Jamie on his crutches. “Woodbine was a safe place before they came along and now we have both lost our everythings because of that group of…I don’t know.”

Wyatt nods. “Savages!!!”

Jamie nods. “What is the game plan?”

“They have the trust of the common folk, we need to find a way to prove their savagery!!”

Jamie smiles. “Let’s get to work!”

Landon comes to greet them when he sees Preston and Gabe. “Gabriel Bateman.”

Gabe looks at the small ginger. “Yes?”

“You have ensnared my man with that thing!” He slaps Gabe’s ass.

Preston just laughs. “Oh, I gotta see where this goes.”

“Ensnared……your man, bro, what you on? You have never had Preston.”

“ENOUGH, COME ON, PUT UM UP!!!” Landon throws up his hands and does the little boxer move. “We shall fight for his hand!!!!!”

“Kid, buzz off.”

“YOU SCARED, BATEMAN? WORRIED I WILL CLAIM MY RIGHTFUL PRIZE?!?”

Gabe sighs. “Okay kid, fine, I’ll fight you for Preston’s hand.”

Landon throws one punch and misses.

Gabe dodged like 40 punches before growing bored and knocking Landon to his ass and pulling out his katana and pushing it to Landon’s throat. “Game over, gingy.”

Landon tears up. “PRESTON, WHY WON’T YOU JUST LOVE ME?!?”

Preston sighs. “I’ll give you one day.”

“What?!?” Gabe snarled.

“Gabe, it's one day, he’s not gonna steal my heart from you.”

“Fine…I’ll allow it.”

Preston helps Landon up. “You get a day to be my lover, I’ll let you know when, Lando.”

Landon smiles wide. “Bateman, enjoy him while you can. He will be mine MWAHAHA!!!!!” Landon runs off, absolutely giddy.

Maxwell approaches them. “That was something.”

Preston nods. “Eh, I figured why not give him a fair chance.”

Maxwell nods. “You shall see, well, we all need showers and rest, let’s get to it.”

The group disperses and returns to their humble abodes.

Chapter 15: Gotta Go My Own Way

6/28/25- Landon’s apartment

Preston knocked on the door. “Landon, it's your day.”

Wyatt and Jamie looked at each other. “Well, that is troubling.”

Wyatt screams. “Those savages have them in the palm of their bloody hands…well, they will be sorry soon, mark my words, trouble is gonna come a-knocking and more lives will be lost, Jamie…I will tell them all I told you so.”

Jamie nods. “As will I.”

Christopher pulled out after fucking Christian. “That was great as always.”

“Christopher…can we promise to be together forever, just us, no one else.”

“Yes, Christian, I will never ever let you go again!!!” Christopher smiled, pulling him into a loving kiss.

Macsen approaches them. “Hey babe.”

Ben smiles. “Hey Macs……Walker, look at us, okay……you have to be okay now……you need to know this was not your fault……”

“YES IT IS!!!”

Macsen shakes his head. “I don’t recall you shooting him?”

Ben shakes his head. “Nor I, Walker, it is a damn tragic thing that happened to him but there is no use carrying on like this blaming yourself. What you need to do now is forgive yourself.”

Walker wipes his tears away and looks down at Dash’s grave. “Yeah……I can’t do that here……I’m gonna go speak to Maxwell.”

Maxwell’s office.

“These letters are so sincere, I do truly believe you guys feel remorse for siding with Gavin and hurting people.”

Matt looks over the letters. “I agree.”

Maxwell smiles. “It brings me joy to grant you both full citizenship to the community of Woodbine!”

Daniel and Logan smile and embrace each other tight! “Thank you so much, we won’t let you down!”

Maxwell smiles. “I know you won’t.” They step out as Walker steps in. “Hey bro?”

“Maxwell……hey, I have to leave Woodbine. I can’t be here, everywhere I look, I am reminded of Dash and I will never be able to forgive myself for that…spare me the ‘it’s not my fault’ speech, it was my fault and I know it…I have to go away, I love you all and it brings me great sadness but being here, I can’t.”

Maxwell nods. “Okay, Walker……kid, I don’t even know what to say. I just know this, I hope our paths will cross again someday.”

“Someday they will.” Walker tears up as Maxwell embraces him tightly.

“Take care of yourself, Scobell.” Maxwell tears up.

Soon After

Walker had gathered all his belongings and exited his apartment and was shocked to see all the people of Woodbine had lined the streets of Woodbine to wish him goodbye. Walker tears up as the people pat him on the back and hug him.

“Hey Walker, guess what?”

“What, Landon?”

“I had sex with Preston!!!!!”

“Really? That’s awesome!”

Preston nods. “I gave him his day, it was fun but he now understands I’m with Gabe and I couldn’t be happier.” They kiss.

Walker hugs Landon tight. “Take care of yourself.”

“I will…you do the same.”

Gabe looks at Walker. “Fuck, kid, I get it but damn, I am gonna miss you.” Gabe embraces him tight.

Preston nods. “See you around, kid.”

Walker looks at Preston and can tell he is putting on a brave face. He embraces him tightly.

Preston tears up. “Fuck, kid, nothing will be the same without you.”

“Don’t forget me.”

“Ohhh, I don’t think I could.”

Ben and Macsen jump and embrace Walker tightly. “Walker, be careful out there.”

“Do what you need to do, okay…and then come back to us.”

Walker nods and looks at Matt. “I never once got to suck your dick, Matt, and well that is your loss…protect these people for me.”

Matt tears up and embraces Walker tightly. “Ugh kid, I wish you would stay but we can’t ask that of you.”

“It is just too hard right now, I gotta go my own way.”

Maxwell pulls Walker into a hug. “Scobell, don’t ever forget this, you always have a home here in Woodbine, you are the little brother we all get annoyed by but would do anything for!”

Walker tears up. “Take care, Maxwell.” Walker wipes his tears and runs out of the gates before he could change his mind.

Everyone waves goodbye.

Walker climbed to the top of a hill and looked down to Woodbine and to the graveyard. “Goodbye, Dash.”

Chapter 16: A Block in the Road

7/15/25- Woodbine

Maxwell was loading some supplies into the RV as the group planned to make a big trade with the people of Jefferson. Matt, Preston, Gabe, Ben, Macsen, Tait, Kiefer, Griffin, Kit, Bash, Christopher and Christian were all coming with him, helping him load up the RV. “Yes, the rutabagas, load those up.” Cruz approached Maxwell.

“Just one weekend, I got this. I will hold the fort down and do it well.”

“I know you will, Cruz, that is why you are being left in charge.” Maxwell bro hugs him.

Jamie stands by Wyatt’s side, glaring as Maxwell loads up their hard-earned labor. “That’s our food and he’s taking it to these fucking hippies.”

“Oh I know, Jamie…Jaeden was a fucking fool to trust them and it is the people who will pay for my late husband’s foolishness.”

The whole group loads up into the RV and begins the drive to Jefferson. “Buckle up, y’all, we will be in Jefferson by sunset!”

Jefferson was about a two hour drive from Woodbine so leaving in the early afternoon meant an evening arrival. The group had loaded up food and medical supplies to trade with the people of Jefferson, hoping for weapons and ammunition which our group was still lacking after the confrontation with the horde a few months back.

Kit sat down and Bash wrapped an arm around him. “Hey love.”

Kit smiled and kissed him passionately. “I haven’t mentioned how happy I am that you are in my life again, have I?”

Bash laughed. “Only a few hundred times……well it’s fine, I missed you too.” They kiss again.

Christian smiled. “I am so happy for Kit, he deserves this.”

Christopher nods. “We all do, everyone has that special someone in their lives and for me, well, it was my very own cousin……I have come a long way. I mean I was dating a madman who did ‘Whatever it Takes’ and now I am with the man I truly belong with, my favorite cousin.”

“I’m your only cousin but Sweet Tooth likey the sentiment.” Christian kisses Christopher passionately.

“I’m so happy you chose to come along, Kief.”

“I just didn’t want to be without my…sorry, I was gonna call you Taiter Tot, I know he called you that.”

Tait nods, thinking about Teddy. “I still think about him everyday one year on……but I know this, Teddy Bear would not want his pet name for me to die with him and I can think of no one better to carry on the Taiter Tot legacy.”

Kiefer smiles. “I will not take this weighty responsibility lightly.” Kiefer leans into a passionate kiss with Tait.

Ben snuggles up with Macsen as Macsen runs his hands through Ben’s hair. “I always loved your hair, Benny Boi.”

“Really?”

“Yeah…I love every inch of you and I always have. When we first encountered you guys on that highway all those years ago, you were the one who stuck out to me. I said Matt, look at the cute boy. He thought I was talking about Maxwell but no, it was you, Ben…it has always been you, Ben.” Macsen lays his head on Ben’s. “You are my light in the dark.”

“You’re a fucking sap, Macsen, but it is one of the main reasons I love you. Macsen Gheisar, you complete me.” They smile and start making out.

Preston sits next to Gabe. “You know I thought you were dead, Gabe, and it made me vengeful……It drove me, it kept me going……I don’t want to ever find out what that full path would lead to. I could be like Dylan but worse.”

Gabe smiles. “Please, me dying? I am a fucking unit, Preston, it is gonna take a lot to kill me……I will be honest though, as the GOAT boy was being devoured on top of me, it was the thought of never seeing you again that drove me to fight as hard as I did, because what I needed more than anything was just a few more moments in your arms and now.” He wraps Preston’s arms around him. “I got just what I wanted.”

Preston smiles and kisses him passionately.

Matt wraps an arm around Maxwell. “My husband……it is still weird to say that.”

Maxwell smiles. “I want to see it.” Maxwell removes Matt’s eye patch and gazes upon the scarred hole that was once Matt’s right eye.

“Babe, it’s hideous, why do you insist upon looking at it?”

“Because, Matt, that is my favorite part of you cuz I see it the least…and it’s a shame because, well, it’s perfect, you are perfect.” Maxwell kisses the wound and places the patch back on it.

“Maxwell, you are what makes me perfect, everything I do, I do it for you…sure, we slaughtered those Cyclones but they were a threat, you were defending our town and now here we are establishing trade with another community and all that is because of you, Maxwell, your heart is why we will always follow you.”

Maxwell smiles. “Well that's funny, because my heart is property of you.” They start making out.

Griffin stops the RV. “Hey Max, look at this.”

Maxwell runs up and looks out the window; he sees there's a roadblock, a burning pile of rubble and tons of the Dead. “That wasn’t there a week ago.”

“There are a few alternative roads, let's take them.” They tried six alternative routes but each road had a similar road blockage in it. “This is no coincidence.”

Matt shakes his head. “Maxwell, I think we should turn back.”

“I agree, return to Woodbine.”

Griffin nods. “Yeah, I got no problems with that.” Griffin turns around, but as he was getting near the exit to Woodbine once again they found a block in the road! The group exits the RV and examines the block.

Preston shakes his head. “We can’t clear this.”

Gabe slices one of the Dead down. “We take it on foot, then return to Woodbine.”

Maxwell runs to Matt’s side and see’s he was holding an ISU……Cyclones cap. “Oh fuck.”

The sun had set and the brisk chill off the night set over our group. There was an eerie feeling and they heard the crunch of branches and leaves as if people were walking in the cornfield by them and soon Parker emerged from the field. “Maxwell Jenkins.”

“Parker…” Maxwell stopped when more and more heavily armed men emerged from the cornfield.

Our group was soon surrounded by the Cyclones. Preston shot one with a crossbow and hundreds of guns were turned on him!

Gabe slapped Preston. “Don’t!”

“You would be wise to listen to your friend there.” Teo Briones emerges from a cornfield.

“Drop your weapons and get on your fucking knees, gentlemen, resistance is futile!” said Avery Esteves, as he too emerged from the field.

Maxwell looked at his group. “Do it and do it now.” Everyone was quick to listen, dropping their weapons and getting on their knees.

Parker yelled. “IN A SINGLE-FILE LINE!!”

Maxwell looked at Parker. “Parker…I thought you were lost at the KOA. I mourned for you, I……” Maxwell was cut off when Parker punched him square in the jaw.

“YOU DIDN'T MOURN SHIT, SHUT THE FUCK UP.”

Avery and Teo looked at our group, nodding and laughing. “I think they are ready to meet the man himself.”

Teo nodded. “Yeah, they sure are……HEY BOSS, THEY ARE READY FOR YOU.”

Maxwell teared up as the big boss emerged from the cornfield, whistling like an asshole and swinging around a heavy mace. He wore an all-leather outfit with no shirt to show his chiseled abs, a ring or two on every finger and a bone choker around his neck. “Hey.” Maxwell looked up and gazed upon the face of Zackary Arthur!

Zack smirked. “Let’s start, shall we. My name is Zackary Arthur, I am in charge of the Cyclones…you know, that little group whose outpost you broke into in the dead of night and slaughtered them, yeah, those were my men…big mistake on your part, Space Boy……do you remember me? Oh, I’m sure you remember when we met at that award show all those years ago……my cock sure remembers your juicy tight asshole……that was a different time, Maxwell……we are all changed men now……here is how this is gonna work. The people of Woodbine belong to me, they provide for me, you are now owned by the Cyclones. Do we understand that? Huh, no arguments? That is good, we have an issue though. Isn’t he beautiful and black?” Zack licks his lips and moans sexually as he licks the mace. “Björgvin here is gonna help me to beat the fucking fuckitey fucked life out of one of you……He will bash someone here’s skull into a fucking powder one might confuse with cocaine!!!” Zack laughs hard. “This is to prove to you all that I am not someone you should have ever fucked with, those Jefferson fuckers will pay for their treason, I’m heading there next…….they are my property, just like you lot and everyone back home……I hope you all said goodbye to your loved ones because, well, one of you isn’t going home…the question is which one?!?!?” Zack jumps back, swinging Björgvin the mace around. “I simply cannot decide!!!” He gazes upon the group. “I know exactly how to decide.”

He points the mace at Maxwell. “EENIE.”

He points the mace at Preston. “MEENIE.”

He points the mace at Ben. “MINEY”

He points the mace at Gabe. “MO.”

He points the mace at Matt. “Catch a tiger.”

He points the mace at Macsen. “By the toe!”

He points the mace at Griffin. “If he hollers.”

He points the mace at Kit. “Let him go.”

He points the mace at Bash. “My mother!”

He points the mace at Tait. “Says to choose!”

He points the mace at Kiefer. “The very best one!”

He points the mace at Christopher. “And you……”

He points the mace at Christian. “Are……”

Zackary swings the mace around in front of everyone's face and lands on one person. “IT! Haha, you are about to die, mate…if anyone talks or moves, chop Maxwell’s other hand off and then we can start. You can blink, you can breathe, you can cry, fuck, you’re all gonna be doing that!” He bashes his head in with the mace. But he sits back up. “HOLY SHIT, TAKING IT LIKE A FUCKING CHAMP!” Zack bashes his head again and again and again and again and again and again…
