Chapter Text
Casey's P.O.V:
It was rather chilly being only January in London, no snow where I lived but I was okay with it. Unlike others who would prefer to be infront of a heater, I was walking along a beach as the wind blew strongly. I held onto my cap and kept walking, some sand blowing up into my face, whipping my cheeks lightly. When I cleared up my eyes from the sand, I didn't expect to be slapped in the face by something. I turned and looked at what slapped me and it was a letter. I now began to chase after it as it blew into the wind, "wait! Come back!" If anyone was watching surely someone would think I'm crazy chasing after a envelope in such strong winds. I leapt up and snatched the letter from the air but fell down onto my face into the sand. I groaned softly and sat up, dusting myself off but now looking over the envelope.
Alcina .D
Was the name on the front and I couldn't read the address correctly so I stuffed it into my pocket and went off to my bike before heading back home.

Once arriving at my apartment, I hurried on inside and headed for my bedroom. I shoved my jacket and cap off before sitting down at my small desk and turning on my lamp. I gently peeled open the envelope and slid the letter out, making sure not to damage it. I looked back over the envelope, now being able to read the address clearly. "Romania!? That's so far away! How on earth did it end up in London of all places!?" I read over the name again and smiled softly, it is a very beautiful name. I now opened up the actual letter and began to read over it.
It is only the beginning of the year and everything is already going terribly. Those stupid man things have already tried to raid my property yet again and I'm growing sick of it. My daughters get hungrier each time they come here. I just wish Mother Miranda would let me just-
The rest of the words for that part were completely scribbled out with ink-
She called again and she's just being so infuriating! I think I scared my beloved Bela because she had walked in after our monthly phone call. It's never anything new with that woman, it's always the same things and whenever we ask about it, she waves it off. I could crush her with my own hands-
As I went to read on more, I just realized that my nose was bleeding and the crimson blood dripped all over the letter. "S-Shit, shit!!" I tried dabbing it away but it was just making it worse so I groaned and sat back, stuffing a tissue up my nostril to soak up the blood. I sighed softly and now moved forwards, the blood on the letter now drying up but making the rest of the letter barely readable. I moved it to the side so it could dry before beginning to write my own letter. I've written them before but in this day and age everyone just used mobile phone honestly. Luckily I still had some paper and envelopes!
Eventually after I finished writing my letter, I sealed it in an envelope along with the original letter however I kept the original envelope. I did put at the bottom of my letter my name, apologies for bleeding on her letter and my own postal address incase she sent a letter back.
Seeing as there was still daylight outside, I left the apartment and went to the local post office, giving them the letter and paying for the small shipping fee. I smiled and went back home, only hoping I'd receive a letter back.
And only god knows I got one back...and quick.

"What on earth do you mean I got a letter? From whom!?" "All the way from London you say? That is oddly far." "How on earth did they get my letter!"
The sounds of paper tearing filled the office before the tall Mistress herself sat down on her large chair, placing her glasses onto her nose and beginning to read the letter that was written addressed to her. "A woman called Casey? My, my this is new." She leaned back into her chair and kept reading over the letter, tsking a bit at the hand writing but she could still read it. Alcina raised a brow at the little PS message at the bottom of the letter before curiously grabbing out her original letter, her pupils now dilating at the smell of the dried up blood. "Oh my, Casey you did bleed all over it...and what's this?" She gently sniffed the letter, her pupils dilating even more.
"You're also a virgin?"
Lady Dimitrescu now called out for her hand maiden who came rushing into the office. After a few moments, Alcina finished writing another letter and handed it to the maiden. "You're to deliver this with the utter most haste. She is to receive this quickly. I feel I may be writing letters more...often." The maid nodded and rushed out with the letter, going down to the Duke and giving it to him.
"Oh my sweet Casey," Alcina slowly stood up from her chair and watched out the window, lighting her cigarette. "I do hope you reply to me. I feel something new may be developing."
