“Today’s the day… Today I am getting Kakashi back for selling me out to Sensei.” Iruka thought. He didn’t know how that smart ass even did it but it had to be him there was no way it wasn’t him. Iruka and Kakashi were in. The middle of a massive prank war that was entering its third month. Their Sensei’s had told them to stop so had the Hokage’s wife, and she was one scary lady. He had found the best prank ever. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t see the woman coming by. They collided sending items everywhere. “So sorry miss.”
“No problems Iruka.” Kushina said, laughing at the poor boy who had knocked her down. He quickly helped her pack up her toiletries. She had been invited by her friends and some Genin to have a pamper day at the hot springs and she was really looking forward to it plus she needed the girls help with something anyway. “Slow down okay, don’t want you getting injured again.
“No Mame, I am sorry again.” Iruka said running off and within a few minutes he was done. He had overheard Kakashi saying how hard it was to keep his hair clean. He quickly devised a plan and after weeks it was finally ready. Meanwhile Sarutobi and Minato were having a meeting wondering how to get them to stop pranking. Plus Minato wanted some advice as Kushina was very temperamental lately and wanted some advice from his old sensei.
Kakashi: “Damn that final test was crazy who ever thought of that jutsu was a monster, a swamp really I need to spend a good hour on my hair tonight, the photo is due tomorrow afternoon.
Kushina: “Girls I have some exciting news you will never believe what I found out. Let me just finish washing my hair. (It is a custom for hot springs that having a dirty body is very unhygienic for future guests of the hot springs so it is traditional to wash hair and body before entering).
Minato & Sarutobi: “I am terrified of going home Sensei!” Minato sobbed, he had managed to hide the swelling from her attack till the office. “Kushina is always scary when she gets mad they don’t call her the Red Hot-blooded Habanero for nothing. She asked if her ninja outfit would still look alright if she gained weight.”
“And let me guess you didn’t say anything.” Sarutobi said, comforting the poor Hokage, he knew why she had been difficult as he just got the report but knew that if Minato found out before she told her husband the village would get flattened.
Later that day:
Kakashi had fallen asleep in his tub and only woke up thanks to Pakkun his father’s youngest ninja hound pulling him out of the tub by his hair. After grumbling the young boy was soon dry and even bathed his best friends as thanks paying attention to the hounds paw pads. Sharing a meal they soon fell asleep. Iruka was on the roof watching for when the shampoo would start taking affect though he thought it would have been sooner but Kakashi had kept his towel on and was now sleeping with it on.
Minato and Sarutobi were walking down the street when they saw Kushina with her group of friends. She was really relaxed and happy now that she had devised a plan to tell Minato her news. Sarutobi smiled at his people and was about to walk away when he felt danger and spun around. He wasn’t the only one everyone was sensing it as everyone quickly disappeared. Kushina had just told Minato that she was pregnant and in his joy he had knocked off her head towel which she too had left on through out the day.
“IRUKA! KAKASHI! YOU ARE DEAD MEAT THIS PRANK WAR HAS GONE TO FAR!” Kushina shouted at the top of her lungs. Causing both boys to rush over and try and calm her, so were Minato and Sarutobi. It wasn’t helping calm her down that everyone was trying not to laugh Kushina’s once distinctive red hair was now a horrendous green.
“We’re sorry Ms Uzumaki-Sama.” Both boys said, it was agreed by everyone that she never get hit by pranks due to her legendary temper. Before they could even react both boys were knocked unconscious and sent home with minimal wound care (Maybe now they would not pull pranks.) In the morning Iruka had awoken to massive gash over his nose and Kakashi had grabbed a mask to hide the puffer fish lips that he had awoken too (Both boys wore the injury (Iruka) and clothing option (Kakashi) with pride especially after the death of Kushina and Minato). The street that they were in was being cleaned up by Minato while Kushina kept apologising for over and over. It soon spread that Kushina was pregnant and all was forgiven though the photo’s of Kushina’s hair was circulated only when she was out of the village. Both boys soon stopped and settled down though it would never last long they both agreed two pranks each a month just so they didn’t occur HER wrath.
