Chapter Text
A scream is heard by laughter filling all of Piltover’s air, a small yet charming girl walked around with her face stuck in a book.
The girl’s head perks up at the mention of her name. “Caitlyn! Dear, come we have to visit Vander and silco!”
The small dark-blue haired child walks over to her parents. ”coming mother!”
She ran up to her parents and holds onto her father’s hand “we’re going to the undercity for what mother?”
“Well Vander has invited us to a small gathering in celebration of his best friend, James.”
The small six year old’s eyes light up “will I meet a friend!” Cassandra chuckles at her daughter and pets her head.
“Hopefully darling, now come along.”

“Violet! Where are you?”
A small head of pink hair pops out behind the bar holding a small cup of juice. “Yes papa?”
A tall muscular man with red hair and grey eyes smiles softly at the small girl. “Have you seen uncle silco around?”
“Uncle silco is in his office, where’s mama?”
“She should be here with powder soon kiddo”
A slender blue haired woman opens the door of the last drop. “Vander I swear if you don’t have my scotch ready I will end y- oh hi baby!”
“Hi mama!” Vi says happily as she went to hug her mother
The taller woman laughs softly “dear? Could you hold your sister for me?”
“Okay!” The small female holds her baby sister closely and protectively “hi pow!”
A small set of hands reaches out and pulls a hair from the older girl. “Ow! Ow! Ow! Pow!”
Baby powder happily claps her hands as she giggles.
The older one of the two smiles softly at the baby.
“Rowena! Honey, calm down-“
“Vander I swear if you are up there with gr-“
Vander walks out from the back room. “oh hey you two, Rowena I just finished making your scotch here.” He hands her the glass cup of scotch.
“Good.”
Vi walks over to her parents and Vander while holding baby powder. “Uncle, will there be any friends for me to play with?”
“Yes, in fact one of my friends has a daughter about your age.”
“Ah yes, Caitlyn will love you!” Rowena happily exclaimed to her eldest.
James chuckles “that is if Violet doesn’t scare her away.”
Violet pouts at her dad “papa!”
The door opens to reveal a slender woman with brown hair and a man with dark indigo blue hair.
“Ah Tobias, Cassandra! Pleasure to see you two again!”
“Likewise Vander.” Cassandra hums
“Say where is little Caitlyn?”
“She’s right- oh dear..”
“I’m right here.” Caitlyn responds standing next to a star struck violet. “She’s pretty” she points at the slightly taller child.
Violet blushes “I- uh.. umm.. y- you’re pretty too!” The pinkette blushed more as she looks at Caitlyn.
The bluenette blushes softly and smiles “I’m caitlyn!”
“V-violet”
Powder blables taking both the younger girl’s attention “v-v- Vi!” She giggles
“Mama! She said my name! Well almost”
Rowena smiles at her daughter “I houses we’ll have to nickname you Vi now eh my little bruiser?”
Vi giggles and smiles at her mother.
Caitlyn looks at the taller girl and pokes her cheek “you have freckles!”
“Is.. is that a bad thing?” The taller girl asks.
“No! It makes you even more cute!” Caitlyn happily exclaimed to to the pinkette.
Vi blushes and smiles “thanks cupcake!”
“Cupcake?”
“Yeah! Cause your so sweet like a cupcake!”
“Well what should I call you than?”
“I don’t know, maybe when we know each other more you can call me whatever you want!”
“Okay!”
“Friends?” The pinkette gives powder to her mother and holds out her hand to the smaller girl
“Friends!” Caitlyn takes VI’s hand with a smile, happy to finally have a friend.
“Friends!”

Vi and Caitlyn walks around Piltover, happily talking with one another.
“Hey cait!” A sixteen year old Jayce walks over to his friend.
“Who’s your friend?
“This is Vi! Vi this is Jayce!”
Vi looks at Jayce and scowls. “I don’t like him.”
Jayce glares at Vi. “why are you with someone from the undercity?”
Caitlyn glares at Jayce and gently grabs VI’s hand. “come on.”
The small bluenette drags the pinkette somewhere far away from Jayce.
“I’m so sorry about him Vi..” Caitlyn turns to her friend apologetically.
“It’s fine Cait, I probably wouldn’t have liked him anyway.” She shrugs her shoulders.
The small bluenette smiles at the taller female, gently taking a hold of her hand again and dragging her to the Kiramman mansion.
The pinkette looks up at the mansion “this place is huge!”
The other girl giggles “come, we have a huge library!”
VI’s eyes light up as she smiles. “Let’s go!”
Caitlyn giggles and happily takes her friend to their library.
VI’s eyes immediately scan the shelves full of books. “I could kiss you right now!”
Caitlyn blushes darkly, not understanding this new feeling in her stomach as the elder female said those words.
Vi ran to one of the many shelves and starts scanning the books to find one that will peak her interest.
Caitlyn watches her friend with a small smile and blushes more.
Maybe, having someone like Vi around won’t be so bad.

“Fuck!” Violet cursed angrily as she throws her gloves down onto the floor.
“Darling?” Caitlyn looks up from her book glancing at her best friend.
“I’m fine cupcake.” She grunts softly holding her aching cheek.
“Stop blocking with your face Vi.”
Caitlyn glares at Mylo. “Mylo so help me I will-“
Powder runs in with Ekko both of them covered in paint. “We’re hereeee”
Vi walks over to Caitlyn sitting next to the smaller teen. “Hey you two.”
Powder grins “hi sisters!!”
“Sisters?” Both older teens ask questionably since powder only had one sister.
“Uh yeah, you two ARE married!”
Caitlyn blushes darkly as Violet stares in disbelief as a blush spreads all over her face.
“No we aren’t!” Vi yells out flustered.
“S-she’s right powder.” Caitlyn says blushing.
“Hmmm yeahhh sureeee”
Ekko smiles at his best friend. “So where’s Claggor?”
“He’s with Vander and silco helping out at the last drop.” Mylo explains as he tries to beat both Caitlyn and Powder’s high score in the shooting range.
“Stop trying doofus, you’re never gonna beat them.” Vi hums as she takes a book from Caitlyn’s bag out.
Caitlyn hums “darling don’t be like that, powder and I can easily wipe the floor with Mylo.”
Powder grins “yeah!”
“Wha- what the hell cait!”
Vi smirks softly as she keeps reading “you will never beat princess’ high score or pow’s you pest.”
Caitlyn hums and keeps reading as she lays her head on her best friend’s shoulder.

“Mother father! I’m here and I brought Vi!” Caitlyn called out to her parents.
“Hello Violet!” Cassandra smiles at the taller teen.
“Hello Mrs. kiramman.” Vi smiles
Tobias walks in holding a small box of trinkets and gears. “Ah violet!”
“Hey mr. Kiramman.”
“I told you dear, no need to call us so formally. You’re part of the family now!” Tobias beams at Vi.
The pink haired girl blushed a bit and smiles softly, Happy to be included in her best friend’s family.
Chapter Text
Caitlyn walks through the lanes holding powder and Ekko’s hands as she glares around looking for Finn’s goons.
“Find anything?” Mylo asks into the coms.
“Nothing yet, you?”
“No” he sighs in frustration. Claggor speaks up “I think I have a lead.”
“Where?” Caitlyn asks as a small spark of hope ignites.
“The old factory where uncle silco use to work for the shimmer medication.”
“On my way” she looks over to powder and Ekko. “Go back topside, or find somewhere safe.”
“But what about you?” Powder looks at her sadly.
“Yeah! We promised her that we’d keep you safe!” Ekko glares up at the topsider while crossing his arms stubbornly.
The sharpshooter hears walking as she takes her rifle out. “Who’s there?!”
Ekko and powder gulp in fear as they look for weapons. The white haired boy finds a club, while the smaller girl finds a pistol.
The footsteps stop in front of the three. “Well look what we have here..” “a good body and some brats.”
The men and women smirk as they launch themselves to the teens.
A few shots and punches are head through the alleyway followed by screaming.
Gauntlets were seething as the person holding them looks to the small group.
“Violet..” Caitlyn whispers as she sees her best friend.
The pink haired female stays silent as she watches the small blue haired girl.
“Vi!! Powder ran to her sister and hugs her happily. “You’re okay!”
Ekko smiles and hugs vi as well.
The brawler made no move to hug the children as she kept staring at the sharpshooter.
Caitlyn started tearing up as she watches the eighteen year old. “Vi..”
Vi watches her with no emotion and smirks softly. “Hey”
Caitlyn ran to her and hugs her squeezing the smaller humans around the young adult’s waist.
The woman hugs the feminine girl close as she buries her face in the slightly taller one’s neck.
“I missed you..”
“I missed you as well cupcake..”

Summary:
Vi watched her closely, waiting for her response.
Caitlyn sighs softly, looking down at the promise ring on her hand. “Are you with somebody violet?”
The shorter woman stays quiet. “What will you do if I say the truth?”
“I’m not sure”

The two women pull away from the hug. Vi grins at her best friend and pulls the two kids onto her shoulders “well Cait I know it’s been a while but.. happy birthday.”
That’s right, Caitlyn forgot that it was her birthday. How could she remember, when she just witnessed her best friend and partner in crime-fighting supposedly coke back from the dead.
The Kiramman studies the shorter girl. “How do I know it’s truly you?”
“Would I ever lie to you cupcake?” Vi grins as she looks at her with full honestly. As Caitlyn’s eyes soften, she knew this was her Vi.
“No, you never have” Powder and Ekko gag at them.
“Stop being gay!” Powder huffs as her best friend nods. “Yeah!!”
Caitlyn turns to her best friend with a smile.
“Any lovers cupcake?”
Vi watched her closely, waiting for her response.
Caitlyn sighs softly, looking down at the promise ring on her hand. “Are you with somebody violet?”
