Summary:

Why do men?
Paula really can't wrap her head around why the guy she really likes absolutely doesn't pay her any attention.

Notes:

I wrote this fic a year ago during really hard time of my life for a dear friend of mine. And the only reason I'm posting it right now is because of all of the people who came to the fandom during 2022 and left kudos and new comments on my older works. Thank you for that!
So, I hope, all of my fellow Paul/Schneider enjoyers will like this little piece.

Sadly, I have nobody to beta my works anymore, so forgive my none native english.

Songs that gave me atmosphere and motivation to write/edit:
Feeling B - Grün & Blau
Kadavar - II - I Fly Among the Stars

Work Text:

This was about to be an extremely hot week. At least the radio broadcast claimed so for the 5th time during the whole ride from Berlin to the coast of the Baltic sea. And every time their driver - and at the same time infamous vocalist Aljoscha Rompe - would shush on his traveling companions, make the speaker louder and listen to the radio DJ.

No rain or clouds in sight. That will be quite a pleasant week. Our station suggests you bring your family for a walk in local parks and beaches and spend time with various outdoor activities. It is really important to remember..

Without letting the lady speaker finish the state propaganda speech he would make volume low again, repeating himself, "I told you! It's gonna be a hell of a weekend!"
On which, Flake - who was occupying the passenger seat - would start mumbling nonsense about coasts and sudden changes in weather which included cold winds and deadly storms. He lacked enthusiasm in his arguments but somebody needed to sit with Aljoscha during the road trips and endure his conversations. That was just the rule. And Paula refused to be the sacrifice this time, pointing out how the last time she agreed and they ended up searching for car keys she threw out of the window mid arguing right in the long roadside grass.

Instead she spent the whole trip at the back of the van with Schneider. Either fiddling with her guitar or looking outside, shifting on the seat and occasionally hitting Schneider with her limbs, pretending to ignore another completely empty seat just across from them. But it seems she also didn't care about him not giving her any attention the whole ride. As soon as they packed in the van and hit the road he snuggled in the corner at the back and tried to catch up on sleep, not even realizing that she placed herself on his seat.

Sun was welcoming and wrapping him with its warmth, low mumbling from the front soothing him. Face hidden behind the curtain of long curls as he was sitting with the side of his head pressed against the small window, oblivious to the world around him.

"HEY!" Suddenly a hand pushed him in the shoulder and Paula's loud voice ripped him from his slumber.

Schneider opened his eyes, squinting from the bright light coming from outside, trying to blink the eye strain away, "What?.." he asked in a husky voice and made an attempt to focus on the loud annoyance in front of him.

Paula was sitting too close for his comfort. On her knees on the seat, she was leaning towards him, frozen in the pose, almost as if she was studying him for some time now. He blinked at her and raised his brows, repeating the question silently.

She smiled with her lips tied, which always was a sign of the thoughts in her head making a new mischievous turn. Then she sat back on the seat, starting pulling her unevenly cut bleached hair into a messy ponytail.

"What are you doing?" she pursed her lips in a line, holding a laugh at her own silly question and peered at him, awaiting for response.

"I was trying to sleep," Schneider answered with slight confusion in his voice.
"Were you dreaming about me?"
"I..wasn't dreaming at all."

She finally let out a laugh and looked away, finding a forgotten guitar with her eyes.

"Did you want something?" Schneider pushed his brows together, trying to figure out Paula's weird behavior.
"Just wanted to talk." She shrugged.
"And what did you want to talk about?" he asked patiently, still not sure of the motives behind his rude awakening.

She kept looking at her guitar for a long moment, then swiftly turned around and asked, sparkles of mischief in her eyes, "Do you have a girlfriend?"

This time it was Schneider's turn to let out an awkward laugh. But he quickly regained his composure and shook his head.

"Why not? Should have at least 3 with a pretty face of yours."
He ignored her comment, feeling too mellow from the nap to try and figure out if that was sarcasm. Instead he shrugged again and looked at her face in the shimmering shadows of passing trees. He asked softly, "Do you have somebody?" purposefully putting down any gender labels as there were rumors around the band and Paula’s reputation specifically.

"No," she answered carelessly, shifting on the seat, hitting him on his knees once again with her own.
"Why not? Should have at least.."

He didn't manage to finish as their van suddenly changed the smooth surface of the asphalt road to hole filled dirt one leading to the beach. Pushed by bumpy movements of the car, Paula lost her balance and fell on top of Schneider unable to catch herself in the moment. Without thinking he caught her in his arms only a moment after realizing their new position.

"Because I have other priorities," she continued with an almost nonchalant voice, too close to his face. Again. Then poked him to the side with her needle fingers, making him drop an arm that was holding her around waist, and jumped off him, moving to the seat on the other side of the van.

He followed her with his eyes, considering saying something, but it seems she already got over her need for communication and now was just looking out the window with a bored expression on her face. So he fell silent as well, occasionally peeking with short glances at her moody profile and thinking about absolutely nothing.

Soon enough they finally reached their destination. Hidden behind the wall of forest beach already had the rest of their traveling company awaiting. Friends of the band Schneider barely could recognize and some girls, he assumed, that were fans. He only awkwardly raised his hand in a greeting gesture, when the group noticed the new arrival, and retreated back to the van, hoping to escape awkward conversations by helping to unload their belongings. To his surprise, he came across Paula who was moving their bags to the front of the van. They exchanged quick knowing glances and he felt a bag being pushed in his hands. She smiled at his lost expression and nodded towards the exit.

Packed like mules they made their way to boats. The plan was to load and ride towards a small island away from the coast. Group claimed that they've been there many times and it's a perfect hideout if you know what to do. This last bit made Schneider a bit skeptical but he went along with the plan anyway. Not that he had much room for dispute at that point. But soon they finally reached the island and his nervousness became even stronger when the strangers started to explain the plan.

"We should scatter and locate the old man."
"And how are we gonna tell others when somebody will find him?"
"We..will set a meeting point?"
"And if he's gonna be at the meeting point?"

Schneider leaned towards Paula, who was still staying close to his side hugging her guitar, and whispered a question.
"Who's the old man?"
She smirked and stretched, leaning over to him to whisper back, "Some old fart guard who's patrolling this island."
"A guard?" Schneider was about to voice his concern when the crowd around them suddenly went quiet and peered at the far side of the beach. A figure was emerging steadily from the woods and making its way towards them, waving their hand.

"RUN!"

Schneider only managed to register somebody yelling the command and thin fingers wrapping around his wrist, pulling him somewhere in the tree line leading them in the depth of the island. He ran without asking questions, holding onto his and Paula's bags until they reached another beach and finally stopped, breathing heavily. He wanted to ask what's going on but Paula quickly hushed him with her hand, listening for any voices. There were only waves of the northern sea, moving crowns of the trees and them.

Paula suddenly burst with laughter and dropped her hand from his mouth, putting down guitar in the sand and falling after it on her ass. Schneider looked at her with confusion.

"What?" she asked, turning her head to look at him while squinting from the bright sun above his head.
"What was it?" he frowned and dropped beside her on the sand, "Is this some private island? Are we trespassing?"
"Rela-ax, Schneider. We've been here many times. Just watch out for the nasty old man and you'll be fine."

Voice of sanity was telling him to poke more, they were clearly doing something illegal. He could tell. But her voice in his head was overlapping everything.

Rela-ax.

"Relax.." he repeated with a whisper, glancing at her frame basking in the sunlight.
"Mhm," she hummed in confirmation, making him shiver in surprise as he didn't expect her to hear him. He smiled awkwardly even though she couldn't see it, and laid down by her side, looking at the passing clouds above them. Occasionally he would twitch at sounds of moving bushes, peeking behind them to see if it's the old man. But every time it was just wind moving the greenery. After some time he finally managed to rela-ax and closed his eyes, enjoying the sun. But his peace was short-lived. He felt Paula moving beside him, getting up and starting walking towards the water.
He sat up and followed her back with his eyes, watching her pulling her shirt away and tossing it in the sand. "Where are you going?" he threw after her.
"Make a guess," she turned around on the sound of his voice, flashing him her bare chest.

He instantly looked down from her body, feeling heat on his cheeks raising, then heard her laughing.
"Well that's just sweet, Schneider!"

He didn't dare to look up until he heard the splashing of the water as Paula ran into the sea, starting swimming away from the beach. He noticed the rest of her clothes on the sand a bit further away from her oversized shirt. His cheeks blushing even more from realization of her being completely naked but he didn't delve and quickly moved his attention to her swimming in the strong waves. He got up and came closer to the edge of the water, feeling slightly concerned for her well-being in the angry sea.

"Come, you ass stick!" She beckoned him from afar and swam in a circle, almost as siren luring its prey.
"What if somebody is gonna come?" he shouted back, trying to be louder than waves and wind.
"Then we will pretend that we drowned!" She laughed and made her body float on the surface.

He lowered his gaze from her naked body, considering the proposition for a moment, then gave in and quickly dropped his clothing, following her in the sea. He shivered, water was a lot colder than the lukewarm lakes he used to swim back around Berlin. But he didn’t turn back and proceeded to swim deeper, until he finally reached Paula and stopped next to her. He was almost saying "I'm here, what's next" looking at her with a serious expression.

"What? Too cold for you?" she giggled at his face and splashed him with the water.
"Paula!" He moved his head away and frowned, the place they were floating at was too deep and waves were too intense for play like this. He looked behind himself at the beach and noticed that they were progressively getting further in the open sea.

"We should get closer to the beach. It's too dangerous."
She huffed in annoyance and splashed him again, "Where's the fun in that."
"Paula!" he instinctively tried to dodge the water and gave her a stern look.

She pursed her lips, looking almost offended and shook her wet blonde hair, "You can stay at the paddling pool then, pussy." Then she showed him her tongue and started to swim away further in the sea.

"Paula!!" He almost shouted, staying in one place. His heart suddenly started beating faster as he looked at her moving away, "Paula, come back!"

"Or what? What’re you gonna do?" She shouted from quite away from him now, rowing on her back as she was looking towards him.

He growled. He was considering letting her fool around and put herself in danger and himself to just turn around and get back on the shore. But he couldn't. His heart was racing for her. He growled again and shook his wet curls. Moment after he was fastly swimming towards Paula until he reached her and grabbed her wrist. She gasped in surprise at first but then smiled and leaned against his body, wrapping one arm around his neck, "My hero. Not so lame after all, aren't you?"

But her flirtation went right above his head with only rushing thoughts for their safety circling his mind. He felt how strong waves were against them, pushing their naked bodies together and into the open sea. He didn't like where it was going and took Paula's hand away from his neck, tagging them towards the shore, "Let's go back. It's really dangerous. We won't be able to get back if we move further."

"It's fine!" She said almost playfully but he started tagging her towards the beach harder, swimming for the both of them. It made her protest, she jerked her hand from in his grip, "Let me go, Schneider! I know what I'm doing!"

"Do you?" He gave her an angry glance from behind his shoulder and kept swimming. She fought for a bit longer, making it even more harder for him than it already was, but soon enough she suddenly gave up and started moving towards the beach, making him drop her wrist. Soon she was ahead of him, again moving further and further away from him.

She reached the beach first, as Schneider started feeling tiredness after swimming for two. So when he stepped on the sand she was already in her shirt and drying her hair. He noticed that her pants and panties were still in the sand near his clothing.

"Such a party pooper you are, who even invited you," she was fuming, fiddling with her hair, squeezing water in the sand.
"It's your idea of fun? Getting drowned in the sea?" he fought back, still feeling adrenaline in his system.
"Calm do-own, it would've been fine. Or what," she suddenly smirked, "You just want a reward for your heroic deeds?" She made a kissy face towards him. Then her eyes lowered at his naked bottom and she giggled, "Or just didn't enjoy the cold water?"
He huffed in frustration and picked his clothing, covering his crotch and moving away from her towards their bags.

Dressing up he noticed her approaching him, carrying her pants in a hand. While putting them away in her bag, she spoke up. Voice calmed from the moments before. "We should get going, catch up with the rest of the guys."
He nodded in agreement and picked their bags, getting Paula's as well without even thinking as she reached for her guitar. She noticed that and held a small smile, only slightly lifting corners of her lips, but didn't say anything.

Previous frustration between them disappeared, replaced with the thoughts of how to find the rest of their group. For a while they were walking in silence. Schneider deep in his thoughts and Paula leading them, walking beside him and glancing at his profile from time to time. And only when they heard faint bickering between Aljoscha and some unknown to Schneider voice, Paula spoke up again.

"We still can turn back and hide on our own," she giggled and looked at Schneider with a mischievous look.
"I thought you don't want me around," he raised his brow in surprise.
"Why would I invite you then, dummy?" She shook her head like it was an obvious conclusion he somehow missed and kept walking towards arguing voices.

He then stopped and, for a long moment, looked at her figure walking away.

So it was her idea to invite him. He didn't know. Only thing he got was Aljoscha's almost order to pack his things and be ready on this exact day.

He chuckled awkwardly at the realization.

Out of all people it was her.

He joined the crowd a minute after, standing a bit away behind the wall of unfamiliar backs. Paula already disappeared among the people, leaving him alone.
Two loudest people from before, whose names he still didn't know, were talking about stopping for the day and making a camp. Apparently the old man was found and bribed with a bottle of wine Aljoscha brought along to the island. The loss made the balding man, standing near the arguing duo, visibly grumpy even though Schneider could imagine him bringing here a lot more alcohol.

Nobody voiced any objections and when speech was over, everyone started spreading around the beach and placing down their belongings. Soon a large campfire was up, gathering people around it, signaling the beginning of the party. Alcohol was passed around, sounds of guitar and singing filled the air. Schneider was sitting between unfamiliar faces, listening to their story about an underground concert that happened last week, people still were getting used to the idea of doing music freely without being scared of stasi coming crushing the party. Schneider had thought on his own about a new order of things but at the moment his mind was busy with something else, keeping him from joining the conversation.

His eyes finally spotted a familiar blonde head on the other side of the fire, dancing with a man he recognised as a guitarist of one of the friendly bands. His hands were glued to Paula's waist while she danced mindlessly to the music. It seemed that she didn't even notice the man trying to take hold of her, being completely lost in the music. But Schneider did. He took a sip from his bottle, feeling how angry liquid burned its way down his body, and kept eyeing the dancing pair.

Looking from the side it would seem that he was piercing them with a jealous stare but it wasn't like this. At least he thought it wasn't. Yet when the man leaned closer to Paula, either whispering something or trying to kiss, Schneider felt his fist gripping harder to the neck of the bottle.

To his relief Paula reacted as violently and quickly, pushing the man away, flashing him a middle finger and leaving his side. The man was about to go after her but everybody knew that when Paula says no it means no. Schneider only smirked and looked away from the scene, enjoying the warmth of the alcohol in his system and odd feeling of relief inside his chest.

He didn't fully understand where those feelings came from. Obviously he would protect Paula if it would be needed, she was his bandmate after all. But it didn't seem that that man was about to cause any problems. Yet Schneider felt an urge to place himself between him and Paula.

But before he could come any closer to the answer, his hard thinking was disrupted with fingers that slipped inside his curly hair and wrapped around the neck of the bottle he was mindlessly holding.

"Hey, handsome, care if I'll join?"

Schneider didn't recognize the voice and looked up, meeting a dark pair of eyes belonging to an unknown lady. She probably was one of the fans he saw earlier.

"Uh.." he looked around, only now noticing that his chatting company disappeared and he was sitting completely alone. He looked back at the lady and smiled awkwardly, "Sure?"

She had wild unruly curly hair, to match his own, and slightly darker skin hidden only by a small top and pair of panties. He ignored that detail, looking at her round pretty face.

She smiled back and sat beside him, taking a sip from his bottle, "What's your name?"
"Christoph," He answered but instantly noticed that the answer was not satisfying enough, "I'm with..Feeling B," he added and saw her face lit with surprised expression.
"I thought you guys are not interested in girls!"
"What? No! No..that's not.." Schneider tried to explain himself but the girl bursted with laughter and gently nudged him with her shoulder.
"That's alright, Christoph. I'm teasing! I just heard the rumors about your band," she said with a darkening expression and lowered her face to his,"But when I saw you looking at me across the fire and couldn't pass on an opportunity with such a handsome face."

He looked deep in her dark eyes that were now so close to his. Her words made him confused, he had never seen this lady before and he for sure wasn't staring at anyone just now. Or did he? He was so deep in his thoughts so maybe he just stared into the void and she took it the wrong way. In any case, she was pretty and he didn't mind her company.

He smiled at her, "Well, then I'm happy.."

But he didn't have an opportunity to finish his confession. Paula's voice sounded from the side as she was approaching them. She seemed out of breath as if she just finished laughing. "Hey, Schneider!" she called for him.

Then she finally noticed his company and froze in front of them. Schneider turned away from the unknown girl and looked up at Paula, still smiling a misty smile. But his smile fell when he saw her expression. Grumpy and frowning.

"Everything alright?" He asked carefully.

Instantly, without any explanation, she reduced the remaining distance, grabbing his hand and started pulling him to get up, "C'mon! I need your help!"

He grunted but got up. She wasn’t waiting and didn’t give him to fix himself while kept pulling him away from the girl. He only managed to look at her with an awkward smile and say, "I'll see you later?"
But the girl's soft and alluring expression suddenly changed to a disappointed one. She was pursuing her lips, looking at them moving away and just waved him goodbye before turning and starting walking away in the opposite direction.

"Slow down! What's the matter?" he looked back at Paula, she still was pulling him away with all the strength she had.
"Nothing!" She barked in return and finally dropped his hand but kept walking away from the crowd and campfire, into the darkness of the beach.

He raised his eyebrows in surprise at her snapping but still followed her on his own. Voices left behind became quieter until they disappeared completely and soon it was only waves against the shore. They kept walking in silence, she wasn't even looking his way and he was following her back with his eyes, trying to figure out what did happen. Nothing came to his mind, so he finally broke the silence, "Where are we going?"

It made her stop. She turned her head and looked at him with an almost upset expression. He came to stop close to her, looking at her face, lit with the moonlight.

"Everything alright?" He caught her eyes with his, she allowed it and didn't look away.
"Yeah, I just.." she fell silent for a long moment but then suddenly smiled, "just wanted to swim again."
"And you needed me for that?"
"Well since you're my personal lifeguard.." her hand moved across his chest, caressing his skin through the shirt. They both followed its moment with their eyes. He didn't answer anything. A long moment passed when he suddenly felt pain from her finger poking him in the chest and she huffed in frustration, "You can leave if you want!"
She turned around and started moving towards the sea, this time keeping her clothes on as she stepped into the water.

He stayed. Watching her disappear under waves and then come back some meters away. He couldn't understand her behavior or why she needed him only to leave again. Why at first she was nice to him and then pushed away. She saw him being busy, why didn't she ask Flake if she needed so badly for somebody to watch over her? It all didn't make sense. But he didn't complain either. He watched her swim in dark waters and felt tingling in his stomach from the image. He already forgot about that lady from before, if he could be honest with himself. Paula's touch on his chest and her pretty eyes made everything disappear.

He saw her walking from the sea towards him, water dripping from her shirt, making it stick to her body and wrap her figure. He realized he was staring.

"The water is nice. You should've taken a dip as well."
"I thought I'm here to guard you."

She looked down at him, her eyes shining in the darkness. He noticed a twitch of her lips as she caught a smile before it escaped and said in a neutral voice, "Your job is done then."

He got up. But they didn't move, exchanging curious looks, looking deep in each other's eyes in the night's darkness. He could've sworn he saw her starting leaning towards him when a sudden explosion of fireworks lit the beach with bright colours. They both snapped their attention towards the campfire where the group fetched fireworks and started lighting them up one after another, sending them flying into the air and to the sides.

"Hey!! I want that too!!" She yelled in the direction of the explosions and started running. He followed without thinking. Two more colorful explosions happened in the air. They both followed them with their eyes and he heard Paula laughing, making the next explosion happen inside him. But he ignored it just in time to catch her in his arms and shield from a rocket that flew sideways and exploded beside them, highlighting her face with bright red, then yellow and green. He pressed her closer, in an urge to protect. And she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Careful!!" They both heard loud voices from behind calling for them as another rocket screeched above their heads and exploded behind Paula. He managed to cover her head with his hand before the explosion and felt her wet body pressing against his.

He admitted that he held her for longer than it was necessary. That the explosions already stopped and darkness again fell around them when he finally felt how she was pushing him away. He let go and saw her face holding an almost annoyed expression. She briefly looked at him but quickly averted her eyes, mumbling quietly, "Whatever."

He wasn't sure if she was upset at him or the fact that fireworks were gone. He wasn't even sure if she said it to him or just to herself. He was about to apologize for what he didn't understand but she took his wrist before he could and led them back towards the camp. And this time she didn't leave him, quietly sitting him down at a far corner of fire and taking place beside him.

They drank the rest of Aljoscha's stash, or what Flake managed to hide for them from the partying crowd. Soon after their return, somebody pulled out a guitar again and Paula almost jerked up to join the jam session but her eyes met his first and she stayed by his side, only quietly singing along and tapping rhythm on his knee. At some point his arm slipped around her waist. He couldn't resist the urge, feeling her closeness. It made him more drunk than the alcohol in his hand, as he finally admitted it to himself. A lot of things started coming to him under the influence. Which of the influences, he couldn't tell.

But when he noticed that she was staring at him, it almost got clear.
"You missed your favorite song." She said, noticing in return that he was finally back to earth.
"Did I?" He blinked and looked around. Everyone was already gone, music stopped long ago and it was only them sitting near crackling fire.
She nodded and shifted in his arms, her cold wet shirt sending shivers along his skin.
"You're so stupid," she said suddenly.
He frowned at those words, feeling almost like a gut punched from the insult, "Can you stop already? What did I do to you?"
She was smiling, he finally noticed after he finished his outburst. Misty eyes looking at him all this time, "So stupid."

He felt a ball of tangled mixed signals inside him slip from his grasp as he was about to snap. But before he could answer, she kissed him. She twirled in his arms to stand on her knees and reached for his lips, kissing them in a needy long kiss. In the next moment his hand moved to her sides, holding her. He opened his eyes wide with surprise and felt her small hands on his neck, as she leaned in a more comfortable position and deepened the kiss. When she finally stopped and smiled with a drunk smile at him he joined his brows in confusion.

"What is this about now?" he said, holding her in his arms.

This time she outright laughed and shook her head in disbelief, "Why oh why out of people I managed to crush on an idiot like you? I like you, Schneider! Your stupid face! And your stupid head that can't connect dots and read hints!"

He looked even more surprised, blinking at her silently. She blushed, bit her lip and pushed him in the chest, making him fall in the sand before crawling on top of him.

"Still don't get it?" she whispered, lowering herself on his chest. She put hands covered in sand stuck to her skin on his cheeks and lowered her head, pressing their lips together in another long kiss again.

Schneider sighed at the feeling of sand falling from his face behind the collar of his shirt. But he didn't push away, instead answering the kiss harder with all the accumulated frustration and confusion, pushing his tongue past her lips. He could hear her squeak in surprise and feel her fingers push in his long curls. It made him growl, thinking of all the sand. But he forced discomfort and confusion away instead puting one of his hands under her wet shirt, caressing her back and giving in to the new desires he was finally allowed to unlock and fulfill.

She exhaled loudly in their kiss, squeezing his hips with her thighs and moved away. He expected a slap but instead she smiled menacingly and peeled off her wet shirt, tossing it to the side.

"Paula.." Schneider exhaled, looking at her eyes, ignoring the freed chest that was now resting too close to his face.

She bit her lip, answering nothing. Her hand grabbed his, guiding it to her front and up to her chest, placing it on top of one of her breasts. He opened his mouth, trying to find more words but his attempts were cut short with another demanding kiss, while her body pressed itself against his hand.

They fall back into the sand. He started carefully exploring her, gently caressing her breast, his second hand wrapped around her smaller body. He could feel her sliding her hips along his, making pleasure sparks scatter in his stomach. Her hands made their way under his own shirt, putting pressure against his sides with shorts nails.

"Oi, are you two..behaving?" The wobbly drunk voice of their vocalist made them both jump in surprise, interrupting their kiss. Paula tried to get up from Schneider but he held her close, feeling an urge to cover and protect, earning a pointed frowning look from her.
"Yes." He answered shortly.

Aljoscha squinted, trying to focus his vision on them but quickly gave up, waving them away and turning around to leave, mumbling drunk nonsense.

As soon as he disappeared in the darkness of the bushes, Schneider relaxed his hold, finally allowing Paula to sit straight on him, looking at him almost angrily.
"It's not like he never saw me like this," she snapped, crossing her arms on her chest.
Schneider looked away, hiding himself behind hardened lines of his face. She was right yet he felt possessive, he didn't want others to see her the way she allowed him to see her tonight. Especially not Aljoscha. His hands still remained on her sides, carefully, barely noticeably, stroking her soft skin while he was holding against her probing gaze.

Still she felt his touch and read his expression. She huffed out a laugh and drooped her arms from her chest, "Very cute, Schneider," slowly she lowered herself back on top of him, whispering in his lips, "I'm not your girlfriend," she left a small kiss on his lips, then added, "Yet."

He felt his heart skip a bit from those words. His cheeks burned hot when she kissed him again and this time he didn't make her wait with the answer. Her hips resumed slow trusts against his, making his inner fire burn hotter and he allowed a pleasure sigh escape between their joined lips. He felt that she enjoyed the effect she caused on him. Her lips stretched in a smile as she raised a bit, continuing leaving small teasing kisses on his lips.

"Maybe I should give you a chance after all.." she whispered in his lips between the kisses and slid lower along his body. He held his breath and closed his eyes, feeling his mind shut down from the anticipation.

But nothing followed. Her head came to rest on his chest along with her small hand, that started caressing his chest in slow motion.
"I'm so tired.." she mumbled against him and giggled a bit when he exhaled with almost a whine.

He needed a moment to compose himself after being submitted to such sweet torture. Yet he didn't object and wrapped his arms around her.

"You should get some rest," he finally answered after some time and saw her getting up from him. His chest tightened in a fear that she was about to leave. But almost as if she read his mind, she winked at him and just crawled towards their bags, digging inside his. He watched her fetch one of his dry shirts and pull it on. Then she took out a blanket from her own bag and was back by his side. He couldn't hold a smile at the realization that she's staying. That she wants to be near him. He reached forward wanting to kiss her again but was pushed in the shoulder before he could.
"Move, Schneider!" She laughed at him as he blushed but obeyed, shifting to the side. She put down the blanket and pointed for him to go back to his spot, now on top of the blanket, then pressed herself against his side, nesting in the crook of his arm.

"Now you can kiss me," She looked up at him, biting her lip while smiling. He smiled back and leaned closer, slowly kissing her a goodnight.
