Chapter 1: The Arrival
Chapter Text
Benjamin Kirby Tennyson thought he would be ready for anything. He had faced criminals, alien warlords, an interdimensional energy god, master huntsmen, diabolical geniuses, and twisted psychopaths. But nothing could have prepared him for the day where he failed.
The day he lost it all.
It happened a week ago. He had gotten an alert from his plumber team and he had jumped at the opportunity to “go hero” and skip out on a boring family reunion. But it turned out that the reunion was the last. Now the saviour of the universe was staring down at the graves of the people he had loved and those he had lost.
"Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Aunt Natalie, Uncle Frank, Ken, Gwen, Kevin…Rook" he thought as he stared at their graves trying to picture their faces, but all he could see were blood-stained broken bodies.
“I’m sorry” the young hero choked out “I’m sorry I failed you all, I thought I could be there for you. I’m so sorry” he trailed off, his words catching in his throat as tears poured down his face, a swarm of painful memories flooding his mind as with a heavy heart the eighteen-year-old walked away from the graves, the monument for his greatest failure.
Ben made his way back to his car, a green and black sports car that Kevin had made for him, complete with state-of-the-art alien tech and further upgraded by Azmuth of the Galvan. Now it was just another reminder of his failure. With a heavy sigh, Ben opened the trunk of his car. Inside were all the souvenirs Ben had collected over his eight years as a hero. Ben sighed again and unzipped the white and green hoodie he was wearing and tossed it into the trunk, where it joined a white and green hoverboard, the destroyed original Omnitrix, the removed second Omnitrix, a shrunk down motorcycle, and a green leather jacket, all now just painful memories.
The former hero stared at the device he had on his left wrist. Taken from his altered clone Albedo, this was the second version of the Ultimatrix and it, like its predecessors, was the bane of his existence. It was because of the various alien watches he had worn that his family had been targeted. Ben scowled, wishing he could just remove the device but, like all the other ones the new Ultimatrix had bonded to his DNA and there was no way to remove it. So he’d have to just destroy the rest of this junk. The teen drove off, speeding away from his painful memories, the graveyard, the heartbreak and away from his home town.
Ben continued to drive, as fast as he could, leaving his pain behind until he ended up at a cliff. Getting out of his car, Ben looked over the edge of the cliff. The ocean chopped away at the cliff, 300 feet down into the churning waves. Ben briefly thought about ending it all, jumping down into the sea and rejoining his family, but he almost immediately dismissed that idea. Despite his immense pain, Ben knew his now deceased family, best friend and boyfriend would never have wanted him to take his own life. Instead Ben vowed he would destroy the car and then continue to live, just not as a hero. After a moment's hesitation, the young man raised his left arm and activated the Ultimatrix. The familiar beep of the watch’s activation rang out over the cliffside as an emerald green hologram appeared, stretching out from the faceplate of the Ultimatrix. Ben frowned and turned the dial surrounding the faceplate, until the alien he wanted was on display.
“The one who started it all” he muttered to himself bitterly “And the one who will end it” he finished before slamming his hand down on the watch. Green light illuminated the area and surrounded the young man. When it faded, standing in Ben’s place was a tall, muscular being that seemed to be made of a dark red magma with veins of fire running all over his body, including his head which seemed to be ablaze.
“HEATBLAST” the alien yelled. The transformed teen looked towards his car and raised his hands, a massive ball of fire forming in each palm and Heatblast prepared to launch them at the vehicle.
“Goodbye,” he choked out and brought his hands back, preparing to launch the fire at his car to destroy the last ties to his heroic life. Before he could, however a high-speed wind and bright blue light surrounded the fiery alien, spinning around him in a blurring vortex of energy. Heatblast shielded his fire-filled eyes from the glow as it shone brighter and brighter, surpassing the alien’s natural glow. When Heatblast finished blinking the spot out of his eyes he saw that his surroundings had completely changed. The cliff, clearing and ocean were gone and he was surrounded by forests and plant life.
“Where the heck am I?” he muttered to himself, glancing around at the unfamiliar landscape. Heatblast tensed as a dark, low growling came from behind him. Wheeling around Heatblast came face to face with a massive, hairy, lion-like being with wings and claws.
“Erm, I don’t suppose you wanna talk about this?” Heatblast asked nervously. The creature merely roared and leapt at Heatblast. The alien leapt to one side, blasting fire from his palms to rocket himself over the creature.
“Guess that’s a no,” he said as he landed, both hands now filling once again with flames. The creature growled and charged, bounding forwards on all fours to try and sink its teeth into Heatblast. Heatblast roared, fire blasting from his mouth, palms and feet, rocketing himself towards the creature and tackling it. The fiery alien couldn’t believe what was happening, he lost everyone he loved and cared about and now he was trying to move on and have a normal life. Then some blue light teleported him to the middle of nowhere with some blood-thirsty lion creature. He. Was. Done.
Heatblast snarled and let loose with his rage, letting it flow into his fighting, the heat from his body increasing as he kicked, punched and blasted every inch of the beast’s body. Then when the beast was staggering back, Heatblast raised both hands above his head and let a huge fireball form between them.
“Burn” he snarled as he hurled the molten inferno at the beast. A huge explosion echoed through the forest, shaking the ground and scaring off a nest of birds. A giant smoking crater was now where the lion creature had stood. At the bottom of the crater, the creature lay, with burns and singed fur coating its body, its wings damaged by Heatblast’s flames. Heatblast stalked to the edge of the crater and stared down, then grunted, satisfied that this creature wouldn’t be getting back up. As he turned to leave he was surrounded by the sounds of guns clicking. A few dozen soldiers surrounded the crater and Heatblast. Half of the forces were wearing dark uniforms, with the image of an eagle on the shoulders as a sign, these soldiers were armed with high-tech-looking guns, some even resembling Rook’s proto-tool. What caught Heatblast’s attention was the other half of the forces, who were wearing very high-tech-looking silver armour with laser canons on each arm. The armoured suits had helmets with glowing blue optics.
Heatblast was shocked, this gear was way too advanced for humans. Why hadn’t The Plumbers found these guys yet? As Heatblast had been staring at the soldiers, they had fully surrounded the transformed teen. Some of the soldiers had pushed a cage into the area and were pushing the collapsed creature into the cage, the burns already healing as they did.
“By order of SHIELD,” a loud voice called out “Power down now”. At this point, Heatblast realised the man was talking to him. The soldiers closed in on him, weapons raised. The fiery alien got into a combat stance, his fire flaring dangerously, radiating heat. Then one of the men approached him, apparently unafraid of the living magma creature. He was a lanky, caucasian male with dark, short brown hair and light blue eyes. Unlike the others around him, this man wore a sharp business suit. He glanced up at the magma-based lifeform, then at the creature that had been loaded into the cage with an impressed look on his face.
"I’m Agent Coulson. I assume you’re the one who took down The Griffin?” the now identified Agent Coulson asked, tilting his head as he looked up at Heatblast. Heatblast glanced over at The Griffin then nodded at Coulson.
“Impressive” Coulson complimented, a small smile crossing his face before he became serious “Now I’m going to have to ask you to power down and come with me. We can’t have a mutant or inhuman with your level of power running around. You could start a forest fire”.
"Wouldn’t be the first time" Heatblast thought before something the agent had said caught up with his mind. “I’m not a mutant or an alien Agent. I’m an alien” he stated, wondering how these guys hadn’t heard of him.
“Well that changes things,” Coulson said sarcastically, smirking “We CAN have an alien wandering around earth unsupervised” Coulson then glared at Heatblast “Last chance. Power down or we’ll take you down”.
“Not. Happening” Heatblast growled, his patience wearing thin after his day
“Take him” Coulson snapped to his men, drawing a pistol from inside his suit as the canons on the armoured agents started to glow with bright blue energy. Thanks to years of experience, Heatblast reacted quickly, thick grey smoke billowing from the Pyronite and covering the area in a smokescreen, hiding Heatblast from sight. The agents fired a barrage of blasts into the smoke. Each one missed Heatblast as the fiery alien rocketed away from the area. Heatblast flew away, trying to put distance between himself and the agents. However, just as he thought he was in the clear he was cut off, as a huge, dark blue jet manoeuvred in front of Heatblast. Without having time to dodge around the jet, Heatblast crashed into the side of the jet and fell back down to the ground, groaning as he pushed himself back to his feet. Before he could reorientate himself, one of the agents threw a metal disk at Heatblast, a spherical energy dome forming from the disc and surrounding Heatblast, trapping the magma alien inside.
“Like I said,” Coulson said, smirking as he walked up to the dome “You’re coming with us alien”. Heatblast smirked at Coulson’s arrogant words.
“You have no idea who you’re messing with do you punk?” the fire alien asked. Coulson scoffed in disbelief.
“That dome is pure energy flame brain. What are you gonna do, walk out of there?” the agent asked dismissively. Heatblast grinned at the agent
“That’s exactly what I’m gonna do,” Heatblast said cockily before he slapped the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest. A bright green flash of light illuminated the area, causing all the agents to shield their eyes. When Coulson and the other agents glanced back, their jaws dropped. Floating in the fire alien’s place was a huge blue and white jellyfish, with six tentacles, two acting as legs and four hovering around the creature.
“AMPFIBIAN” the new alien shouted in a static-sounding voice. True to his words, the alien floated through the dome and floated in front of the agents. “Now will you just leave me alone” Ampfibian growled, before flying off into the air. The agents aimed at the alien and fired, but their energy blasts passed through the electric alien. Before Coulson could give the order for pursuit Ampfibian turned into pure electricity and disappeared into the ground.
“Agent Coulson sir, what should we do?” an agent asked, approaching the suit-wearing agent. Coulson sighed and turned to his soldiers.
“Contact Director Fury. Tell him we have a shapeshifting alien on the loose” Coulson said “And get Griffin to The Big House”
In a dark shady alley, a short distance from the agents, there was a crackle of electricity and Ampfibian emerged from the ground, having used underground power cables to get to the city. In another flash of green, the jellyfish alien became Ben Tennyson once more and the young man glanced out of the alley to try and see where he was. He had to wonder what The Plumbers were thinking, letting a group of blue-suited soldiers wander around with high-tech weaponry. Taking a look around Ben realised he was in New York. He frowned as he realised another thing. The agents hadn’t recognised him. Sure he had been keeping a low profile and hadn’t transformed in weeks but everyone should still know the famous Ben 10. He shook his head. He wasn’t Ben 10 anymore. Glancing in a nearby dumpster, he saw a bunch of newspapers.
Picking it up, he noticed it was multiple copies of a paper called “The Daily Bugle”. Reading over the various headlines Ben saw titles like “Masked Menace Spider-Man terrorizes innocent New Yorkers”, “Iron Man saves the UN”, “Ant-Man and Wasp take down Whirlwind”, “Neurosurgeon Stephen Strange still missing”, “Daredevil topples the Kingpin of Crime”, “Thor wrecks The Wrecking Crew”. Ben’s eyebrows rose. He was in another universe and this time a universe full of heroes. “Guess they don’t need someone like Ben 10” he muttered to himself. He could settle down here as a regular citizen. Use his various aliens to form a new identity for himself. Ben started to walk around, leaving the alley and the papers behind. Ben walked through New York, not paying attention to where he was going. Hands in his pockets, Ben glanced up as he found himself at the pier and his jaw dropped. Floating above him was a massive, floating metal fortress with four massive turbines keeping it aloft.
“Definitely no need for Ben 10” he mumbled. No sooner had the words left his mouth than there was a rumble from the aircraft, as before Ben’s eyes a massive explosion rocked the upper deck of the aircraft and what looked like a building erupted from the sides of the flying fortress. The sudden sprouting of a large building took out the engines and the entire aircraft started to plunge into the bay. At that moment Ben didn’t spare a thought for what to do or why. He just relied on his pure heroic instincts and activated the Ultimatrix, scrolling rapidly through the aliens until he found the form he needed.
“It’s hero time” Ben called out before slamming the core down, he was engulfed in a flash of green light. When it died down a slender and skinny dark blue cloaked phantom stood there.
“BIG CHILL” the new alien rasped out. His cloak unfolded into a set of moth-like wings and antennae and he launched himself into the sky towards the falling fortress.
Chapter 2: The Breakout
Summary:
Six mighty heroes come together to form a team that will go down in history
Notes:
So in this chapter, I use an alien called Avalaunch. This is just Rocks from canon, I decided Avalaunch (a play on avalanche and Rocks' ability to launch himself with his super strength) was a better name.
Chapter Text
On the bridge of the falling hellicarrier, pilots, agents and technicians were all working, yelling instructions at each other as they tried to keep the aircraft aloft. Alarms rang out all through the aircraft and red lights flashed around the room. A tall, intimidating black man, with black hair, streaked with white stood in the middle of the room, glaring at the computers and controls around the room from his one eye, the other eye hidden behind a black eyepatch. This was SHIELD Director Nicholas “Nick” Joseph Fury, leader of SHIELD and one of the most dangerous and powerful humans on the planet. At the minute, he was again glaring at his hellicarrier, wondering why it was crashing. Again.
“Director Fury” a female agent called, approaching her boss.
“Not now Hill, someone tell engineering to get this bucket into the air” Fury snapped “I got enough on my plate. This bird’s dropping out of the sky and we got a shapeshifting alien on the loose”
“Listen to me!” the agent, known as Maria Hill ordered. She winced and adjusted her tone as Fury turned and glared at her, raising his eyebrows in a silent warning.
“Sir automated reports are coming in from The Vault and The Cube” Hill continued “Their systems are down and no one is responding from down in The Big House”.
Fury’s eye narrowed. The Big House was a supervillain prison that had been miniaturized by Doctor Henry Pym so it could be stored on the Hellicarrier. But it wasn’t miniature anymore.
“What the hell is going on?” Fury asked
“No clue boss” Agent Coulson replied, walking up to the other agents “But The Raft is down too. Something is seriously wrong Nick” the suit-wearing agent finished.
In the halls of the sinking aircraft was a lone SHIELD agent, who had been walking down the corridor, was suddenly thrown back against the wall as the other side of the corridor exploded outwards and a thin, silver cable extended out of the darkness and wrapped around the agent, starting to squeeze the life from the man. The source of the cable was revealed as a tall man, wearing a blue and orange suit that had a scale-like design, the cable attached to his wrist. This man was The Constrictor, a supervillain who had been a prisoner of The Big House, but when The Big House had been enlarged, the prisoners had all been freed. Now, Constrictor was going to live up to his name.
“Payback time law boy” Constrictor hissed in sadistic glee, a mad grin on his face. But before he could tighten his hold on the agent, a yellow bolt of energy struck the villain full in the face, causing him to drop the agent. Another blast sent the villain into the wall dazed.
“Back off ugly” the source of the energy called out. The voice was coming from a shrunken woman in her twenties, wearing a black and yellow bodysuit, with black leggings, yellow gloves, a black and yellow segmented torso, and boots with yellow headphones resembling antenna devices on her ears. This was Janet Van Dyne, The Wasp partner of Ant-Man and part-time superhero. She was currently in her hero form, being about an inch tall and having thin, yellow wings on her back. Constrictor smirked and leapt back to his feet, lashing out with his cables and knocking Wasp to the floor.
“Gonna squash you bug” the snake-themed villain sneered. Wasp groggily looked up at Constrictor, worry in her eyes. Suddenly the air around Constrictor became cold. Behind the villain a ghostly blue mothman phased through the metal floor of the ship. Constrictor barely had time to yelp before the now revealed Big Chill let loose an freezing blast over the villain and encased him in a block of ice.
Wasp gaped as she stared at the cloaked blue creature, it’s emerald eyes staring at her in a mixture of surprise and confusion. Wasp then raised her hands, both now glowing with yellow stinger energy.
“Alright phantom freak, you’ve got five seconds to tell me who the hell you are or I’m gonna put you down hard” she called out, aiming at the newcomer. Big Chill looked at her not even flinching at the threat, then he turned back to glare at the frozen villain behind him.
“Please tell me that guy was a villain” he rasped out “Cos I’m having a really bad day and I don’t wanna make it worse by finding out I iced a hero”. The anger in his voice sent chills down Wasp’s spine. She shook her head and pulled herself together.
“I’m Wasp, a hero and yeah he was a villain so don’t worry moth guy” Wasp replied, smiling at the new hero. The alien stared at her then nodded.
“Okay let’s get this ship under control then” he suggested, unfolding a set of wings and taking off down the corridor with a surprised Wasp following after him. Wasp was confused, she had heard of and met multiple heroes in her short time as one. Spider-Man, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, she had even met Iron Man but she had never heard of a giant blue moth man with ice and ghost powers. Was he a mutant? A lab experiment gone wrong? Maybe Hank would know. Then it hit her, Hank had been in The Big House when it failed. She darted in front of the moth man.
“Wait!” she yelled “We have to get Ant-Man, he was in The Big House when the explosion happened. We have to help him!” she was practically begging. Ben remembered Ant-Man being a hero mentioned in the newspaper he had seen.
“He’s down there with all the super villains, we have to help him now, please” Wasp pleaded. Big Chill figuring it was better is they had another hero to help them nodded.
“Alright let’s find him and then we can all get everyone off this flying titanic” Big Chill rasped. The two heroes turned and flew off, Wasp leading the way to the prison. As they flew Wasp decided to try and get to know her new ally.
“So cool breeze you got a name?” she asked, smiling over at the mothman.
“Right now you can call me Big Chill” he replied, figuring there was no harm in telling Wasp some details. Not like he was planning on being a hero past this.
“Right now? What, do you have a identity disorder or something?” Wasp asked, concern and curiosity lacing her voice.
“Nothing like that” Big Chill replied casually
“What do you mean by that?” Wasp asked. Big Chill turned and glared at Wasp.
“How about we go over my backstory when we’re done here? Sound good?” Big Chill hissed, impatience lacing his voice. Wasp blushed in embarrassment and nodded.
“Yeah let’s go find Hank. Ant-Man” she added at Big Chill’s confused expression.
--- Line break ---
Elsewhere in the ship Ant-Man AKA Hank Pym was running through the ruins of the destroyed Big House. He was a man of average build, wearing a red and black suit with a silver belt and a silver helmet over his head that covered everything except his mouth. The belt had a large button on either side and the helmet had two silver antenna like an ant head with white lenses over his eyes. Hank cursed as a green tornado smacked into him, knocking him away. The tornado slowed down and reformed into a man wearing an elaborate green armoured suit. This was the mutant villain Whirlwind. The tornado generating villain grabbed Ant-Man and pulled him close.
“After I’m done with you Pym” Whirlwind snarled “I’m gonna find the big girl and rip her apart”. Ant-Man grunted in pain, he had taken a beating from the multitude of supervillains that had been imprisoned here and after all the effort he had put in to rehabilitating them, he was hurt to see them jut leaving to go back to their old ways.
A noise came from behind him, out of the corner of his eyes, Ant-Man saw the recently recaptured Griffin, healed and angry, growling threateningly as it leapt towards Ant-Man.
“I’d let you tell Wasp yourself but you’re about to be knocked out” Hank quipped before jabbing the left hand button on his belt, a flood of yellow Pym Particles flow over his suit. Ant-Man shrank down and Griffin crashed into Whirlwind, sending both villains flying aside. Ant-Man fell only a few meter before he was caught by Wasp.
“So how’s your day been?” she asked in a cheerful tone
“Painful” Hank grunted back, giving Wasp a relieved smile.
Griffin roared and leapt forward, soaring towards the two insect themed heroes. But before it could reach them, a blast of icy air caught the furred villain freezing it solid before it fell to the ground. Big Chill smirked down at the defeated villain.
“Twice in one day, now that’s just cold” the mothman quipped
“Care to introduce me to your new friend Jan?” Hank asked, amazed by the creature in front of him.
“Oh right. Big Chill meet Ant-Man, Ant-Man meet Big Chill” Wasp gestured between the two heroes.
“Nice to meet you Ant-Man. Was there anyone else in here when this happened?” Big Chill asked.
“Nice to meet you too and no. Anyway we should get out of here. SHIELD would’ve evacuated everyone else by now and this ship is sinking fast”. The other heroes nodded and took off, flying out of the ship with Ant-Man being carried by Wasp.
Meanwhile Nick Fury, Agent Coulson and some of their best soldiers were on a helicopter, armed to the teeth. Fury was worried about the situation at another super villain prison. He had already gotten reports from his people that the three prisons had failed so he, Coulson and their men were going to check on the fourth one. The chopper landed on a barge situated in the middle of the bay and Fury got out followed by his men.
“Look alive boys” Fury ordered drawing his pistol “Shoot first and ask questions later”. He added as they made their way to the elevator. Suddenly the entire barge began to shake and then with a jerk, the entire metal deck began to rise out of the ocean, under the barge a metal pillar rose too, an elevator shaft connecting the fake barge to The Raft, a massive domed prison. Both barge and prison floated into the air.
“Evac now!” Fury roared as his men retreated to the helicopter “Abort the mission. Everyone off the barge now”. Just as he was about to board the vehicle, a sudden force dragged Fury into the air where he saw the source of the force, a well built caucasian man with long black hair and beard with grey streaks. He wore a blue and white suit with two white belts around his stomach as well shoulder pads.
Fury redrew his pistol and aimed at the man. With a lazy flick of his finger, the man sent the gun flying back to the ground. The director of SHIELD looked at the man with anger and spoke one weird with a controlled tone.
“Graviton”
Ten years ago, Doctor Franklin Hall had been one of the best scientists at SHIELD. Fury had put the man on the revived Super Soldier project, trying to recreate the legendary Captain America. Hall had conducted an experiment with gravitational forces, but when the experiment went wrong and the project exploded Hall was caught in the blast. When he woke up in a SHIELD hospital bed, he found he had acquired extreme gravitational powers. He blamed Fury but before he had been able to do anything in his quest for revenge, Fury had filled the room with sleeping gas, knocking the now powerful scientist out. Fury had then imprisoned Hall in the Raft where he had been for the last decade. Now he had woken up. He was free and was not happy. Hall had used his gravity powers to hold himself, his former prison and Fury several hundred feet above the ground several hundred feet above the churning ocean. Hall glared at Fury with hatred in his eyes.
“What do you want Hall?” Fury asked, though he had a bad idea of what the power mad scientist wanted.
“Oh I think you know boss” Graviton snarled, his eyes now glowing with power “I want to treat you with the same kindness you showed me. I’m gonna take years off your life” Graviton then clenched his fist. At that moment Fury started to feel pain as the gravity field Graviton had trapped him in began to squeeze his body, every molecule in his body began to compress. Suddenly the pressure stopped as Graviton stopped to think.
“On second thoughts, I’ll just take them all” Hall said as he resumed the pressure now amplified. At the same moment Ant-Man, Wasp and Big Chill made it to the pier next to the fallen hellicarrier. The heroes landed with Ant-Man and Wasp returning to normal size. Before either insect hero could question their new friend, the three heroes saw the levitating barge, The Raft and Graviton crushing Fury. Big Chill was off before either size changer could say a word.
Big Chill grit his teeth he had to help now or this man would be crushed to death. He wasn't sure how he battle the villain but he had to save the guy first. Before Big Chill could think much more however an object sailed past him. At first Big Chill thought it was a missile but when his brain caught up he realised it was a hammer. The ice alien blinked. Who the hell would through a hammer? Out of everything possible a hammer seemed like an ineffective weapon. Big Chill gasped as he was proven wrong, the hammer sending Graviton flying back. Without his concentration, everything Hall had been lifting fell back to Earth, including Fury. Moving quickly Big Chill caught Fury and halted his descent. Fury’s eye widened when he took in the sight of his saviour, eye immediately flying to the Ultimatrix symbol on Big Chill’s chest.
“Who the hell are you?” Fury asked.
“Name’s Big Chill. Now let’s go” Big Chill rasped as he started flying to the pier. As he drifted down Big Chill noticed someone else flying towards Graviton. He was a large man with long golden-blond hair and electric blue eyes. He had large, bare muscular arms and long powerful legs. The man wore a silver winged helmet, a flowing red cape, black armour with silver circles, silver wrist guards, a golden belt and golden boots. He held out his hand and the large hammer Big Chill had seen earlier somehow flew back to the man’s hand. This was Mjolnir the symbol of Thor and the mightiest weapon in The Nine Realms.
“Your power is impressive for a mortal, but it is naught to the power of Thor” the now identified Thor spoke in a old English dialect “Surrender now before anyone is hurt and you may walk away from this”. Thor held up Mjolnir to back up his threat.
“Fury called me Graviton” Hall said, floating towards Thor, completely unafraid of the Asgardian “Fury knows. I can control gravity. I can do anything”. Graviton raised his hands, eyes glowing with power.
“I’ll crush Fury, I’ll crush you. Then I’ll show the world the power I have” Hall screamed.
“I think not villain” Thor declared, taking Mjolnir by its strap and spinning it, causing it to gain momentum before lunging at Graviton “have at thee!”. As the battle between the God of Thunder and Lightning and the Master of Gravity began, Big Chill landed, setting Fury down on the pier and curling his wings back around himself into his cloak. The Director of SHIELD turned to look at the alien hero.
“Anything you wanna tell us Fury?” Ant-Man asked, walking over with Wasp.
“Not really Pym” Fury responded dryly as he activated his communicator “SHIELD command, this is Director Nick Fury. I am declaring an omega-level situation. Every SHIELD agent, every Hulkbuster unit, the U-Foes they are all under my direct control”. Big Chill’s eyes widened. This one man had that much power and authority that he could just put together an army in a matter of seconds.
“Wow, Nick Fury is actually worried” Wasp commented to the other two heroes.
“I’m guessing that doesn’t happen too often” Big Chill replied. However Ant-Man wasn’t done looking for answers.
“Who is he Fury?” he asked, his tone making it clear he wasn’t taking silence or no for an answer.
“Dr Franklin Hall” Fury answered shortly.
“The physicist?” Ant-Man said shocked “No one’s heard from him in years. Not since he joined SHIELD” Hank’s helmet retracted into his suit, revealing short brownish-blond hair and soft brown eyes.
“What happened to him?” Hank finished, concern written over his face.
“That’s classified” Fury responded. However Big Chill having enough of this secret spy business stepped forward.
“Then you better unclassify it real soon cause if we don’t take this guy down soon, then innocent lives could be at risk pirate-man” the moth-like alien hissed. Fury glared at the moth alien.
“You don’t give me a lecture on putting people at risk” Fury replied “Especially your stunt earlier escaping custody. Mister shapeshifting alien” he finished, jabbing Big Chill in the chest over the Ultimatrix symbol.
"Yeah that’s right” Fury added, catching Wasp and Ant-Man’s looks of shock “your new friend here is an alien. Coulson found a fiery magma guy with that symbol on that became an electric jellyfish creature. I wanna know what you’re doing on our planet” Fury glared at Big Chill. Big Chill scoffed.
“When this is over I’ll tell you what I know. But right now I have to do what I do best” Big Chill said
.
“What’s that?” Ant-Man asked. Big Chill smirked at the size-changing scientist.
“Save the world” he replied before unfurling his wings and taking off into the sky, heading straight for the battle.
Thor’s battle was not going well. While his initial strike with Mjolnir stunned Graviton for a while, Thor now seemed to have lost his advantage. The god of thunder swung his hammer again and again but each blow crashed against a gravity shield held up by Graviton’s power. However while Graviton was focused on defending himself from the mighty Thor, he was exposed to attacks from behind. A weakness Big Chill took advantage of by blasting a jet of icy air into graviton, encasing the villain in a block of ice and sending him plummeting into the ocean below. Thor floated down to Big Chill, a puzzled look on his face.
“What manner of being are you friend?” Thor asked. Big Chill smiled at the Asgardian.
“Call me Big Chill and I’m here to help” the moth alien replied. He had to give Thor points for his contribution to his hero role. No one would be able to guess Thor’s secret identity. Suddenly Graviton erupted from the water, eyes glowing with fury and power, shattering the ice prison Big Chill had encased him in. Thor narrowed his eyes and gripped Mjolnir tight.
“Then let us do battle Big Chill, for this villain must know that we defend this realm” Thor declared as he and Big Chill charged the gravity villain. Thor tried to strike but only collided with Graviton’s shield. Big Chill sent a flurry of ice breath at Graviton, who manoeuvred out of the way. Graviton then sent a wave of gravity at the heroes and sent them flying back. Both flyers caught themselves and reengaged the villain. From the ground Wasp narrowed her eyes.
“We have to help them” she stated out loud. Fury and Ant-Man turned to the insect heroine. “If they’re gonna risk their lives for our planet, then we have no right to do anything less” she finished.
Ant-Man looked at Wasp, a worried look on his face. While he agreed with what she was saying, Wasp was too inexperienced to be taking down a supervillain this powerful. And he himself was a pacifist, he hated fighting and would only do it if there was no other option.
“Jan be reasonable” he started to say before Wasp cut him off.
“I can’t just sit here and watch this” Jan said determinedly “We have to do something. If Thor and Big Chill can’t stop him, he’ll crush the city”.
“Ya think I don’t know that Wasp?” Fury asked rhetorically, tone indicating it was obvious.
“Jan” Ant-Man placed his hand on Wasp’s shoulder in a vain attempt to pacify her and trying to reason with her.
“We’re talking millions of people Hank. I won’t let that happen” Wasp stated as she shrunk down to hero size, taking off to join the fight.
“Jan, Jan wait” Ant-Man called, but Wasp was already gone, leaving the size-changer scientist and Director of SHIELD on the ground watching the battle unfold where Graviton had both Big Chill and Thor trapped, restricting them from movement.
“Can’t your insignificant minds understand what I’m telling you fools?” Graviton roared, his tone power crazy “I control one of the four fundamental forces of reality you peasants. I can remove gravity’s effect on you and send you hurtling into space” Graviton raised his right hand and sent Big Chill soaring high above the clouds. “Or increase it a thousand fold like THIS” Hall continued, slamming his left hand down and plummeting Thor down under the churning waves. With his opponents dealt with, Graviton flew towards the dock
“FURY” he screamed as he charged. Suddenly he felt a light stinging sensation hitting him in the face. The sensation then struck his legs, arms and sides in rapid succession. The source of the stinging was revealed as Wasp flew up close to his face.
“Dr Franklin Hall, you give theoretical physicists a bad name. Now knock it off before I make you” Wasp threatened. Graviton threw back his head and laughed.
“Are you joking?” Graviton sneered “With the power at my disposal nothing can-“ he was then cut off by Wasp who blasted her stingers into Hall’s face, proceeding to fly around him, stinging him over and over again all over his body.
This distraction allowed the gravitational force keeping Big Chill in orbit to cease, causing the moth alien to fly at his fastest speeds down towards the occupied gravity villain. Big Chill coated his fist in a spiked boxing glove of ice. As Graviton blasted Wasp away with a wave of gravity energy, Big Chill smashed his fist into the villain, knocking him away. Before either master of gravity or wielder of the Ultimatrix could continue their fight, a red and gold blur shot past Big Chill and slammed into Graviton, knocking the villain further back. The two sped towards the water, when they got close to the vicious waves, the red blur released a massive blast of bright blue energy from it’s chest sending the gravity villain flying into the water. As the blur stopped, Big Chill managed to finally get a look at this new arrival. It was a man wearing what looked like a highly advanced suit of armour. The armour was mostly red, with golden segments on the arms, legs and face. There were bright blue circles on the armour's chest, feet and palms and the eyes glowed blue.
“Hey Janet” the armoured hero called out to Wasp as she flew close to his head “I know we travelled in some of the same social circles but I didn’t know you came to parties like this” he quipped, then noticing the giant blue mothman.
“Uhm and who’s your friend?” the hero asked the insect heroine “Don’t tell me Hank got so close to bugs he made a big-human hybrid”. Big Chill tilted his head at the armoured hero.
“Okay short version. I’m Big Chill. Here to help. Explain everything later” Big Chill rasped out. The armoured hero gave the moth alien thumbs up.
“I’m Iron Man. Nice to meet you snow cone” Iron Man greeted the new hero before turning to Wasp “So who was that guy? Some crazy physicist?” he asked. Wasp shook her head.
“Something to do with Nick Fury and SHIELD” she replied “I’m really glad to see you Tony” Wasp added “I wasn’t sure how long we could last after Thor- Oh no Thor” she screamed and dived, flying over the water.
“What?” Iron Man asked, as he and Big Chill flew after Wasp.
“Thor” the moth alien explained “Y’know big guy, blonde hair, has a hammer. Big bad back there knocked him to the bottom of the ocean”.
“We have to help him” Wasp stated as they flew over the ocean to where Thor had been dropped. The heroes were taken by surprise when the water separated and Graviton emerged from the waves, dripping with water and looking pissed off. The trio turned to face the mad scientist who was glaring at Iron Man.
“Warning gravitational field around target is in flux. Extreme caution advised” came the British voice of Iron Man’s trusty on-board artificial intelligence JARVIS. As it displayed the energy levels on the HUD in Iron Man’s helmet.
“Guys the energy he’s putting out, the only comparison is a black hole” Iron Man relayed “This guy is trouble” he added in warning. Big Chill’s eyes narrowed
“Then we’re gonna need more firepower” he declared and before Wasp or Iron Man could ask what he meant Big Chill slapped the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest. The other two heroes and Graviton looked away as a flash of green energy illuminated the sky. When it died down the three flyers heard a new voice.
“
CHROMASTONE
”
Everyone’s eyes widened. Floating where Big Chill had been was a six foot tall, gemstone looking alien. It seemed to be made of dark purple crystal, while it’s hands and face were magenta. It had six long magenta shards on his back, two on his shoulders and a magenta horn on his head. There was a single green eye on his face and the Ultimatrix symbol was on his chest. He wore a pair of dark black pants and black boots with green wrist guards over his forearms.
“Hit him with everything you got” Chromastone yelled as he fired a rainbow beam of energy at the gravity villain. When Wasp and Iron Man recovered from their momentary shock, they attacked with their own attacks of bio-stings and repulsor blasts respectively. However despite the combined power, Graviton was able to form a forcefield to block all the energy attacks. Then with an upwards swipe of his arm he sent Iron Man soaring upwards like he had done to Big Chill moments ago. With another flick of his wrist, Graviton sent Chromastone flying into and through a nearby building.
Meanwhile at the dock, Ant-Man was stood watching the battle take place. He saw how easily Graviton was taking on Iron Man, Thor and the new shapeshifting alien and he knew he had to step in. He turned to face Fury.
“What are Hall’s upper limits?” He asked as he reached down to his belt. Fury glanced over at Hank, still trying to co-ordinate a search for the escaped villains.
“We studied him for years and as far as we can tell he doesn’t have any” Fury stared at the vigilante, realising what he was planning “What are you gonna do Pym, talk him down?” the spy asked mockingly.
“No. It’s too late for that” Ant-Man declared, reaching down to press the right hand button of his belt. A blue aura surrounded the hero. Fury watched with a neutral expression as a shadow suddenly fell over the pier.
Wasp was stinging the gravity villain in every place she could reach, doing everything she could to annoy him. It worked as Graviton pushed her back with his powers. However before he could crush the insect heroine, a pair of massive hands wrapped around the villain and trapped him inside. The person was revealed to be Hank Pym, now in his second alter ego Giant-Man. He had a similar suit to Ant-Man only the black parts of the Ant-Man suit were glowing blue and instead of a helmet he had a red mask that covered his face and had appendages on top that resembled insect feelers. Hank stood at 75 foot tall and kept his hands tightly wrapped around Graviton.
“Hank, you went big” Wasp said, surprised. Hank had told her that he was capable of using them Pym Particles to grow to several hundred foot tall, increasing his size, strength and durability but he had never found a use for it, until now.
“Jan get out of here, I’ll handle Graviton” the titan hero said, fully aware he couldn’t stop the gravity villain but hoping he could slow the villain down until SHIELD reinforcements arrived.
“What? No we’re in this together” Wasp responded stubbornly. Giant-Man looked like he was ready to argue but Graviton suddenly increased his power to blow back the titanic hero’s hands. Graviton then blasted Giant-Man with another wave of gravitational energy that sent the massive hero crashing into the dock, most of it crushed under Hank’s increased bulk. At this moment Graviton was furious, he could have ended Nick Fury already if these heroes hadn’t got in his way and now he couldn’t see Fury anywhere. The mad scientist snarled to himself. Fury had to be in the city. So he would show the world his power and kill Fury all in one go. With a sinister smirk Graviton thrust his hands into the air, part of the city rumbling under him before starting to lift into the air. Now there was no one to stand in his way.
This was disproven as, with a yell Thor rose from the ocean, spinning his hammer. Giant-Man’s attack on Graviton had disrupted the gravity villain long enough for Thor to break from the force pinning him down. Thor flew forward at insane speeds and slammed his mighty hammer into Graviton’s shield. The strength and power behind the attack sent the gravity villain flying back.
Without Graviton’s power the section of Manhattan he had been lifting started plummeting to the ocean. Knowing what could happen from the city falling, Thor darted underneath the falling section of earth, catching it and using his godly strength to slow it down.
Graviton flew forward, recovered from Thor’s attack and preparing to crush him after he saw the thunder god try and save the city. Before Hall could do anything, a blast of rainbow energy caught him in the chest, knocking him back. Chromastone flew toward Graviton and tackled him, crystal fists smashing into the villain and sending them both back. Chromastone then started blasting and pummeling Graviton, mixing energy blasts with punches and kicks. When Chromastone finally stopped his onslaught, he saw Graviton wasn’t going down but rather was giving Chromastone a death glare. He launched himself forward, surrounding himself in a gravity field, launching himself and Chromastone to the edges of the city as Thor fully brought the city back to the ground.
Meanwhile in orbit Iron Man was struggling to get himself back to earth, pushing against the gravity field Graviton had trapped the billionaire in.
“I need more power” he cried out, as he fired his thrusters from his boots and palms, desperately trying to return to earth. His prayers were answered when JARVIS spoke through the internal speakers in the helmet.
“Note. Gravitational effect has ceased” the AI stated. With a sigh of relief Iron Man rocketed back towards the planet, flying down to the city.
The battle was not going well. Graviton had slammed Chromastone into a crater then levitated the crystal alien into the air along with nearby cars and rubble from the crater, making all of the items circle his head, trapped in an orbit. Chromastone tried to fight the gravity force but Hall had a strong control of him. Chromastone then had an idea, a trick Albedo had once played on him. The alien hero orbited around until he was above Graviton then slapped the Ultimatrix symbol once more. In a flash of green light, Chromastone was replaced by an eight foot ebing, with a rough, jagged rocklike body. His face was somewhat reptilian and like his arms and legs was made of what looked liked dark yellow sandstone, his bare chest was made of a slighter lighter beige material. He wore black cargo shorts and the Ultimatrix symbol was displayed as a belt buckle, his green eyes were alight with victory.
“AVALAUNCH” the new alien roared. With his increased mass, Graviton was taken by surprise and Avalaunch dropped on top of the villain, cocking back his right fist and slammed it into Graviton, sending the villain flying into the crater Chromastone had created earlier. The earthquake alien cracked his knuckles as he walked forward.
“For your own sake Graviton, stay down” Avalaunch threatened. Graviton snarled and raised his hands, intending to attack the alien. Before he could, a mystically charged hammer, courtesy of Thor sent the mad scientist back to the bottom of the crater. Thor floated back down to the ground.
“I recommend you heed my new friend's advice mortal” Thor threatened as Mjolnir flew back to its master’s hand. Graviton rose again, sneering at the rocky alien and armoured god.
“You think you can stop me? I beat you before and I can do it again” Graviton roared. He once again tried to attack the heroes but before he could, a massive blast of blue energy slammed into him and once again knocked him into the crater. The beam came from Iron Man’s unibeam as he joined the other heroes.
“You really should listen to the guys” Iron Man said. Graviton tried to rise again only for a giant foot to step down behind him and a fist to punch him into the hole again. Giant-Man stood behind Graviton crossing his arms over his chest.
“You’re sick Franklin. You need help” Giant-Man said, trying to reason with the powerful villain.
“Or possibly more zapping” Wasp suggested, hands glowing with yellow stinger energy as she flew close to Graviton’s face. The master of gravity stared at the five heroes that surrounded him, his rage filled mind now fully slipping into madness.
“NO! No, the power I wield. You are nothing compared to me” Graviton roared releasing a wave of gravitational energy towards the heroes, blowing them all back and pinning them to the buildings surrounding them. Graviton then rose into the air, eyes glowing with power.
“I’m stronger then all of you. I’m the strongest one there is!” Graviton screamed out. Just as he said that, something landed on top of the building behind him. The villain turned around and his eyes widened in surprise. Standing on the roof of the building was a creature, 10 foot tall by 5 foot wide. His skin was green, with bulging muscles and he only wore a pair of ripped purple pants. He had emerald green eyes and dark black hair. This was The Hulk, strongest being on Earth.
“You sure about that?” Hulk growled at Graviton. Before the villain could respond Hulk launched himself forward and tackled Graviton all the way to a shipping yard. An old man in dark sunglasses and a construction uniform, pulled a co-worker out of the way, as cargo storage units were flung everywhere from The Hulk's impact. The other heroes quickly followed Hulk and Graviton.
"I did not realize there were ogres on Midgard" Thor commented surprised as Hulk kept battering at Graviton's shield, smashing the scientist around the shipyard. As the gamma giant threw the physicist villain back, he let out an infuriated roar. Avalaunch, having leapt to the top of a pile of containers, felt his eyes widen at the display of power.
"Is that The Hulk?" he heard Giant-Man ask, total shock in the size-changer's voice.
"Isn't he supposed the be, y'know, the bad guy?" Wasp asked, Avalaunch shrugged his shoulders.
"Doesn't seem like a bad guy to me" he remarked. Before anyone else could comment anything, there was a yell of "NO" from Graviton. The mad genius thrust out a hand and a wave of gravitational energy issued out, crushing the ground around Hall and slamming The Hulk down into the crevice.
"Take him down" yelled Iron Man, seeing Hulk be pinned. The five heroes rushed forward but before any of them could land a hit, Graviton had them pinned too, with Giant-Man crushing a portion of the shipyard under his bulk.
"Look at you fools" Graviton mocked the group, eyes glowing madly as he continued "I possess the power of the universe itself! I AM POWER!" he screamed, rising into the air and as he did, cargo crates, chunks of rock and waves of water, swirled around him like a tornado. Avalaunch tried his best to move, but even with this form's incredible strength, he could only just about lift his head.
"Can't move" Iron Man called out "Can you?"
"Nope" Avalaunch admitted "Thor?"
"Nay, The others?".
Nether Wasp or Giant-Man could talk, the gravitational strain on their bodies was so great. But one hero was beyond mad right now, The Hulk began pushing against the gravitational force acting on him. At first he couldn't move like the others but as he got angrier, he got stronger, forcing his way to his feet and starting to move towards Graviton. Graviton seeing this increased the pressure on The Hulk, sending him back down into the crater. Once again, Hulk pushed himself up, growling at the man who dared try and pin him down. Graviton's eyes narrowed and he applied even more pressure, pinning Hulk with enough energy to crush a city. The gamma mutant roared in anger, pushing against the power and struggling forward, as crates and tarmac flatted and crumpled around him.
"Nothing is that powerful" Graviton muttered "I control gravity itself" with a furious but calculated motion, Graviton flung both hands forward and The Hulk was buried beneath a pile of shipping containers. Avalaunch gasped in shock. He saw how strong the creature was but he wasn't sure if the green giant would be able to withstand that assault. Suddenly, his eyes were drawn upwards as Graviton let out a yell of pain, clasping his hand to the back of his neck. Whatever had effected him, it broke his concentration on the containers and The Hulk long enough for the gamma monster to leap from under the pile. He collided with Graviton and sent both of them flying further into the shipyard. Hulk's attack also took Graviton's attention off the other heroes, allowing them all to get to their feet.
"Nice work with the bug Hank" Iron Man complimented a now human sized Giant-Man.
"C'mon we gotta-" Wasp was cut off as the heroes heard a yell of frustration and saw The Hulk get flung into the air, held there by Graviton's power. The mad scientist then flung dozens of containers at the suspended hero.
"You guys get Hall, I'll go help our big gun" Avalaunch said. The others nodded and charged Graviton, Iron Man blasting him with repulsors and Wasp with stings. The combined attack caused Graviton to raise a shield around himself. This change in use of his powers caused Hulk to fall, into the path of the containers. Hulk slammed his fists into each container and batted them aside as he fell. A flash of green from below caught his attention, then a red blur flew into the air alongside him.
"JETRAY" a voice yelled and a trio of green energy beams sliced a number of crates in half. Now that he had slowed down, Hulk could see what he was looking at. A red and yellow, manta ray like ceature with yellow wings, stinger and horns and black gills at his sides. Hulk's eyes widened at what he saw but not because he was seeing an alien.
"You're helping me?" Hulk asked confused. Jetray gave a wild grin and blasted more crates apart with his neuroshock blasts.
"Yeah dude, now hit him". Hulk grinned at the shapeshifter and landed on a container, using it and a few others as a succession of springboards, leaping to the ground and slamming both fists into Graviton's energy shield knocking the villain down into a crater. Before he could do anything else, Hulk was flung upwards again, this time on a pillar of dirt and stone, Graviton levitating it all with his power.
Wasp flew in, blasting the madman in the face with her stingers. Graviton jolted back in pain. Iron Man flew overhead and the chestplate glowed, before a massive bright blue blast of energy slammed into Hall, driving him back again. After a few sconds, a barrier of rock was raised to block of Iron Man's beams. Out of the corner of his eyes, Jetray saw Giant-Man emerge from the water, raising and the throwing a cargo ship at Hall. It landed on top of him, crumpling as it struck the gravitational villain. Several oil drums crashed and burst in the crater. An idea coming to him, Jetray tapped the Ultimatrix dial once more. The new alien was about nine foot tall, covered in fur and ressembled a yeti, with black ankles and wrists, grey upper arms and thighs and a yellow torso. He had a yellow, trident shape on his forehead and the Ultimatrix symbol was on his left pec.
"SHOCKSQUATCH" the alien yelled, in a Canadian accent. With a primal yell, the ape-like alien blasted the spilt oil with a powerful strike of bright white-yellow electricity, causing the flammable substance to ignite and trigger a massive explosion. Above the assembled heroes, the sky darkened to a stromy grey. Thor was silhouetted against the skyline, lightning flashing around him.
"For Midgard!" the Asgardian yelled, before unleashing a truly massive arc of lightning on Graviton. The mystical storm cascaded over the supervillain as everyone else in the area covered their eyes. As the lightning faded, a soot covered and beaten down Graviton was revealed. He gave a groan before collapsing to his knees, in the crater Hulk had created. the six heroes gathered at the edge of the crater, looking down at Hall.
"Hmm. Who's strongest now?" Hulk taunted.
"You had the power to do anything" Giant-Man said, shrinking down to human sized "And you used it to put millions of lives at risk"
"Pretty sad" Wasp added, blasting one final stinger into Graviton's face. The madman collapsed onto his side drooling. The threat was over and the day was saved.
"Come let us celebrate" Thor cried cheerfully, somehow managing to wrap Ant-Man and Hulk in one arm and Iron Man and Shocksquatch in the other. Before any celebrations could happen however there was a shout.
"Step away from the shapeshifter and The Hulk. They're fugitives of SHIELD" the man shouting was a blonde shield agent, in the dark blue uniform on his organization, holding a gigantic gun over one shoulder. Surrounding them were dozens of tanks and even more other agents. The Hulk grunted and Shocksquatch made a move for the Ultimatrix symbol, hoping he could get a form that would let him get away and hide. This plan however was stopped when Iron Man stepped between the agents and his fellow heroes, arms spread to defend them. Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp joined him as Tony spoke.
"You want these guys, you go through me. They both saved us all, they're heroes, sure as any of us are" Iron Man stated
"Stand down" rang out the voice of Nick Fury. The Director of SHIELD approached with Agents Coulson and Maria Hill flanking him on either side.
"We have bigger problems than The Hulk" Fury continued "Seventy four supervillains are now on the loose across the entire country, maybe even the world by now
"How did this happen Fury?" Iron Man demanded
"I don't know but we can find out together. Come work for me. As a SHIELD agent you can make a real difference".
"No" Ant-Man spoke up, striding towards Fury "This is your fault isn't it? SHIELD created Graviton. Whatever you had Hall doing it changed him. You kept it under wraps and this happened". Shocksquatch glared at Fury, disliking the idea of working for someone who would do such a thing.
"Fury's right" Iron Man spoke up, causing a mixture of surprise from everyone present.
"What?" Wasp asked "You of all people are going to work for SHIELD?"
"No he's right about us making a difference together, one on one we can each take down a villain or two, but 74 none of us can do it alone. Together we have a chance. What we did here, it can change things. The world needs us but not as SHIELD agents. As a team on our own. Together we can avenge the wrongs caused by all these villains" Iron Man finished his speech, turning to address the other heroes.
"We can be Avengers" Wasp said
"Huh. Good name" Hulk grunted. Shocksquatch hung his head. He had helped out here because it had been happening right in front of him, he had just gone on instinct. But he wasn't sure about being a hero again, the pain of losing everyone was too great. Silently, he began to walk away, but Wasp flew in front of him.
"hey furball, you gonna walk out on your team?" she asked. Shocksquatch sighed and turned back to face the other heroes
.
"I'm not really planning on being a hero any time soon eh"
"You seem pretty good at it to me" Iron Man remarked
"Aye friend, the metal man speaks the truth. You are a noble warrior"
"I'm sorry" Shocksquatch shook his head "But I ain't sure if I still got that hero's drive anymore". He turned to walk away again but found his path blocked this time by Fury.
"Then maybe you should come with me" he demanded "I can't have an alien of your power levels wandering around Earth unsupervised. I need to know what you're doing here".Shocksquatch looked at Fury, then over at the other heroes. They didn't know him but had beeen willing to stand up to SHIELD and Graviton with him. He figured he owed them at least an explanation.
"Alright" the shapeshifter "I'll tell you everything I can, but in private" he stated, gesturing to the assembled news crews and civilians "The others can come though" he finished, gesturing to his fellow heroes
Fury raised an eyebrow, then nodded, gesturing them all to follow him. Shocksquatch sighed and walked after Fury. This was going to be a very long talk
