Summary:

Kenneth Rose (Nickname Bun) has travelled to a new dimension, but he doesn't have any memory of that, each dimension he goes to he doesn't remember, he thinks that he has always lived in that dimension but as time goes by, flashbacks start.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Prologue

Kenneth's POV

I was walking home with my mom after we bonded, it's been a while since me and my mom have spent time together so I'm really happy I got spend time with her today! She suddenly tapped my shoulder as she notices a poster on the town's job board.

"Hey Bun, Look at this! A competition to find all the Doodle Keys scattered around this island! The winner gets so much money.. Please Ken at least give it a shot! I could finally pursue my dream of travelling around the world if you do get that money!" Mom exclaimed

"I mean I did provide for you the past few years." She chuckled

I gave her a rather dissapointing look

"Hey, Don't give me that look Ken. Isn't Doodle battling one of the most popular sports on this island? Besides they'll even provide you with a free beginner doodle! Here just read the poster so you know how exciting it is!" Mom said

"Do I have a choice?" I asked

"Unfortunately no" Mom stated

I just sighed and rolled my eyes and took a look at the poster, apparently it starts in a month, after I was done reading some other details, Mom took my arm and dragged me back into the house.

One month later..

I woke up to my alarm, I freshened up in the bathroom and was ready to get some breakfast when suddenly mom started yelling for me to get up. She can be rather annoying at times, but that's fine she's my mom.

"Honeybuns! Wake up! Today's the big day you should go ahead to the Doodle Laboratory" She yelled from downstairs

"Mom!! I told you to stop calling me Honeybuns! And besides I' was already awake 15 minutes ago!" I said annoyed as I headed down stairs to get breakfast

"Aw come on Kenneth, don't be like that, you're still my little Kenny even after all these years" She giggled

Oh well, I can't do much about it that's the way she is, I grabbed an egg sandwich on the go, but before I could go mom had to call me once more.

"Hey Ken! Catch!" She exclaimed

She threw a few packs of candy and my favorite coffee in a bottle, I was only able to catch the bottle unfortunately but the packets were still fine.

"There, just incase you might get sleepy due to your condition, anyways go ahead! I love you!!"

I smiled softly at her "Bye mom! Thank you!"

"Aren't you forgetting something?" she asked me

"Fine.. I love you too" I sighed

"There we go, now go I'll see you soon!" She smiled as she waved bye

I waved back and I was finally able to go out.

This is where my journey begins.

Chapter 2: The Beginning

Summary:

Kenneth's Journey has finally begun!

Kenneth's POV

I wasted no time getting out of the house and I hastily headed to the Doodle Laboratory to get my starter doodle.

When I entered, a DooodleCo Professor complained about how his job doesn't pay him enough but I couldn't care less

"They really don't pay me enough for this.. Oh! Hello Are you here for the key finding competition?" He asked as he walked up to me

"I mean considering today is one of the last days to enter the competition, you must be!"

"I mean it's pretty obvious" I said in my head

"Everyone who enters this competition gets their own free complimentary beginner Doodle. Follow me! also please do note accepting this beginner Doodle means you verbally sign our waiver, if you ever get hurt hunting for keys, Doodleco will not be held responsible."

I followed the Professor to get my starter, he explained on how the machines works and then I finally get to choose my doodle, I thought about it for a while and I'm choosing between Tabbolt or Pupskey, I think I'll go with Tabbolt, I really like spark and speedy types. As I chose Tabbolt I received a capsule from the Doodle Machine

"I see you picked Tabbolt, not a bad choice! Tabbolt are very easy to take care of, just be careful of its electrical shocks!" The professor stated

"Now let's test out your new Doodle in a Doodle battle!"

I sent out my Tabbolt while the professor sent out his Tortles, I'm not gonna lie but Tortles is so cute!

The Tortles spammed harden which made it difficult for Tabbolt to make it faint but after a few swipes the Tortles was finally defeated

"You seemed to pick a strong Doodle, here let me heal your Doodle it's important for your Doodles to be healthy!"

As I was about to leave and thank the professor a loud voice echoed through the room

"I'M HERE FOR MY RARE DOODLE!"

"Oh, dear.." The professor said in a concerned tone

I looked behind me to see a blonde boy and supposedly his butler at the entrance

"Master Quincy please  refrain from screaming while inside buildings.." The bratty boy's butler spoke

So his name is Quincy got it, I tried listening more into their conversation is that eavesdropping? Oh well doesn't really matter

"Whatever. We're only going to be in this cruddy town for the next hour anyways" Quincy said

"Very well, Master Quincy. I will prepare your father's private jet so we can leave as soon as we're done here." Quincy's butler said, judging by his face he seems tired, kinda felt bad for the guy.

"Where is the professor, Reginald? Why didn't he come meet me at the door when I entered?!"

The butler's name is Reginald alright, I don't really know why I'm noting their names but I think I'll be seeing them quite often.

"It seems like the professor is preoccupied with someone else at the moment, Master Quincy."

Quincy looked at both me and the professor and angrily walked over here (Uh Oh), I stared at Quincy's blue eyes as he stared into mine but with an intimidating look, despite that I have to admit but looking at him closely you can really say he's handsome indeed.

"So, You're entering DoodleCo's key-finding competition? Please, don't make laugh! What makes you think a poor loser like you has a chance? And seriously bunny ears? Are these even real?"

Upon saying that he tugged on one of my ears, I backed away as I felt uncomfortable with the way he tugged one of my ears

"Wow, so they are real, didn't expect a creature like you to be here" Quincy laughed

Ouch, really called me a creature, but i've been called worse

"Now move out of the way freak, I want a Doodle." Quincy commanded, he practically pushed me away almost making me fall

"Sir, I'm sorry to inform you but the machine can only be used once every 20 minutes, you'll have to wait."

"Can't you see? I do not CARE." Quincy said as he turned red in the face with anger, he tries to use the machine but failed miserably as the machine said "You have to wait another 20 minutes"

He slowly turned to me with a pissed off expression.

"You know how people settle their arguments on this island? With a doodle battle! If I win, I get to keep your Tabbolt!"

"Wait a minute! Why me?!?" I spoke in shock, God I didn't even do anything to him.

"Shut up, just get your Tabbolt ready for a battle."

I grabbed the capsule Tabbolt was in and threw it releasing him, while Quincy got his own capsule and released a Shelldo, I held back my laughter but some giggles escaped my mouth

"What's so funny? You aren't gonna be giggling when you lose to me."

"Ahah! I'm sorry your Shelldo is just so small and cute! Also don't get too cocky now, you can't gurantee you'll win" I said which made him even more pissed off, I could sense the rage inside of him..

*After the battle*

"..I lost..?" Quincy couldn't believe it

"The private jet is ready Master Quincy." Reginald spoke

"This isn't over!" Quincy stormed out of the building

"I'm terribly sorry for my master's behavior. He can be rather difficult at times, As apologies I will tell you the location of the closest key. The next key should be near Graphite Lodge."

"Let me guess, I will be seeing Quincy again since he's also in the competition?" I asked

Reginald nodded and before I could thank him another loud yell could be heard outside the laboratory

"REGINALD! What the hell is taking you so long?" Quincy shouted

Reginald immediately left

"That was quite.. Well.. Interesting." the professor said which made me jump a little since I forgot he was still there

"Ahem, anyway for the competition, It would be unwise to send you out on an adventure without the complimentary starter kit!" He gave me 5 basic capsules and a Doodlepedia

"You can-"

"I'm sorry to cut you off sir but I'm aware that I can capture wild Doodles with the capsules, and yes I'm also aware that I cannot trade or release Tabbolt because of the safety waiver, again I apologize for cutting you off but I am aware of how things work." I felt bad for cutting him off but it's all pretty obvious

"Oh, I see well just talk to me if you want to purchase another starter that you CAN trade. I think the next order of business is for you to go to Lakewood Town, which is the closest nearby town. Good luck on your journey!" I smiled and nodded as I left the laboratory

My ears perked up in realization, I haven't named my starter yet! I gave some thought about it and finally decided to settled with Blake, I patted Tabbolt but he shocked me (Damn that hurts) I guess I can't pet him yet until I fully gain his trust.

I finally started heading to Route 1 as I took my first step there a Doodle Tamer called out to me asking (forcing me) to battle, I sighed as I sent Tabbolt out, while he sent out a Nibblen, I shuddered as I dislike most bugs, I was able to two shot the Nibblen as the Nibblen fainted, Johhny sent out his Rosebug, surprisingly I found it kind of cute, after defeating Doodle Tamer Johhny, I went into the grass in an attempt to find the three doodles that were here.

*After catching Borbo, Rosebug, and Bunsweet*

I'm really attached to Bunsweet well I guess it's because she's a candy bunny and I'm a bunny who likes candy! I didn't decide to name her because "Bunsweet" was already good enough for me, I feel bad for naming Borbo just "Birb" and then Rosebug "Rose" Clearly I'm not that creative with names. All my Doodles were at low health and that's when I remembered mom told me that I should come to her If I need healing (Since Doodle Centers aren't available until I reach Lakewood Town) So I went to her, she healed my doodles, and I left.

After fighting multiple tamers, fainting wild Doodles along the way to level up, exploring, and getting some chests I finally made it to the Route 2 entrance as I was about to enter, someone crashed into me.

Chapter 3: !!REWRITTEN!! Prologue

Summary:

A rewritten prologue, How exciting!

Kenneth's POV
I sighed as the day went by, my mother took me out to somewhere, and gosh, it was boring not gonna lie.. But I guess it nice to bond with her, as we walked back home, mother found a poster on the town's job board, she called me to go and read it, I bet it was something.. unamusing.

"Hey Bun, Look at this!" She exclaimed, she seemed excited

I read the poster and I swear my eyes lit up, a cash prize for collecting keys and possibly risking your life for them! That's right up my alley, then my mom looked at me

"A competition to find all the Doodle Keys scattered around this island! The winner gets so much money.. Please Ken at least give it a shot! I could finally pursue my dream of travelling around the world if you do get that money!" She said excitedly

"I mean I did provide for you the past few years. Don't you think your mother should get a little reward for that?" She chuckled

I give her an annoyed, dissapointing, and unamused look

"Really? That's the bare fucking minimum! Are you at least gonna share the money with me? The one who's gonna do all this for you??" I said with a sigh

"Hey, Don't give me that look Ken, also LANGUAGE! And uh.. O-Of course I will! Besides isn't Doodle battling one of the most popular sports on this island? They'll even provide you with a free beginner doodle!" My mother stuttered a bit when answering my question, She better not be a greedy son of a-

"It starts in one month." My mother said cutting my thought off

"Do I have a choice, mother dearest?" I asked sarcastically though I already knew her answer

"Unfortunately no."

I sighed "You're lucky that this competition is just right up my alley.."

"Jeez, Kenneth, your mother is just asking you a little favor.." She said as I sighed

"Oh yeah, sure risking my life but in the end giving the money to you is just a little favor.. Yeah sure.." I spoke in a sarcastic tone

"Come on! It'll be a wonderful experience, besides isn't doodle battling supposed to be fun? from what I heard it's one of the most popular sports on this island." She told me and started to drag me back into the house as I groaned loudly.

A month later

I woke up excitedly, but felt groggy somewhat like dirt, I got up and immediately started to get ready for the day, after showering, brushing my teeth, dressing up in a pink sweater, overalls, and some sneakers, I was ready, but before I could leave my mom called out to me

"And where do you think you're going?"

I groaned "To the laboratory, where else??" I said clearly irritated

"No you don't, sit your ass down right here and eat the breakfast I made." She said in an assertive tone, of course I obeyed, I was hungry afterall. After I ate I was about to go but she called out again as a I felt myself clench my fists

"Wash the dishes. And no buts, also here's your backpack, I already have all the things you need in there, like your special stay awake gummies, a water bottle and another one filled with your favorite coffee." My bunny ears perked up hearing that, and I sighed and gave her a soft smile

"...Thanks, mom." I then went on to go wash the dishes after fifteen minutes I was done. I got my bag then opened the door. I was ready to start my adventure.
