Chapter Text
Harry came to himself lying on his back on the floor of his darkened room in Privet Drive. For a few moments, he didn’t dare to move, so he just lay there looking wide-eyed at the ceiling and focusing on his breathing.
Today was his sixteenth birthday, and as usual, he waited for midnight to strike and to wish himself Happy Birthday. Only instead of his usual lonely party, he felt power building in his center, right under his belly button. Afraid he was under attack, he got up to leave or alert someone from the Order, only to be brought down by the sheer force of magic streaming into his body, claiming him, changing him to her liking. Harry was sure he screamed at some point, some inner part of him was horrified at the possibility of waking up his aggressive uncle. The energy buildup culminated 21 minutes after midnight, which he was weirdly sure was the exact time of his birth, before subsiding into a low hum under his skin.
Harry blinked, taking a deep breath, feeling calmer now. Everything has changed, he knew it with absolute certainty. He has changed and with him the whole direction of fate. A new era of the wizarding world was coming, and he was the tool, the true savior, the chosen one. Harry huffed small laughter at that thought but knew it was true nonetheless. He was the Alpha.
Sitting up and looking around, he has never felt this great. Nothing hurt, his body felt strong, and the incredible magic was singing inside him. He stood up, astonished at how easily he could move and blinked in surprise when he realized he was taller and more muscular than a few minutes ago. Evidently, this transformation has fixed years of abuse he suffered at the hands of his relatives.
He ran a hand over his face, the magic inside him already nudging him, guiding him in what needed to be done. And from what Harry could perceive, it was a lot.
Right now he had a clear image of Gringotts bank in his head.
“Well then,” he shrugged.
With an urgency that didn’t allow him to even think about waiting till morning, Harry pressed the handle and opened the door of his small bedroom, all seven locks unlocking obediently, letting him out.
It was surprisingly easy to sneak out of the quiet house, catch the Knight Bus and walk into the deserted Diagon alley, the brick wall opening for him willingly on its own.
The bank was the only building covered in light since growing wealth evidently didn’t have closing hours. When Harry walked in, there were two goblins already waiting for him, leading him into the bowels of the bank without a question. It was a weird experience, but Harry was glad he didn’t have to explain himself so far, he wasn’t sure what he would say.
They showed him to an office, and he was promptly greeted by an old Goblin who stood up from his desk.
“Welcome to Gringotts, Alpha Potter. My name is Nurlog” he said with a bow. “It has been a long time since Goblins served the carrier and executor of Magic’s will, but we will serve again. Please sit down.”
“Thank you. It looks like you have much more information about what’s going on than me.”
“That’s entirely possible,” the goblin inclined his head, “but don’t fear, we are here to support you with everything you may need.”
“Right now, I would like information.”
“Of course. Even though for wizards it’s only a tale, it is well known to Goblins that when the dark times come, Magic will bring her Alpha to save the wizarding world.
It looks like with birth rates declining rapidly and the toll the previous few wars and the current one took, the scales of the population were tipped towards actual extinction. It seems that Magic can see no future for wizards in Britain and all around the world for that matter, and decided to take matters into her own hands. The last time this happened was not long before the era of your founders. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is one of the answers to the last population boost. The castle is perfectly capable of hosting thousands of children, and even though the current official number of students talks about approximately one thousand children, in reality, there are less than three hundred nowadays. Your task is to rectify that by creating as many babies as you can. Your physique has been adjusted accordingly, Magic will take care of the rest.”
As if on cue, Harry felt a warm, slightly urgent stirring in his groin. He blinked and shifted in his seat.
“And by creating babies you mean…” he asked just to be sure.
“Impregnating fertile witches or wizards and creating a whole new population which can start procreating naturally.
Harry didn't know what to think. He knew deep inside that that was what Magic wanted from him, but there were so many unknowns.
“But that would take years!” he protested. “Also, I don’t think that many people would agree to even have sex with me. And what about those babies? To tip that procreation rate, there would have to be thousands of them. They would need families to take care of them, places to live, food, education, and future jobs. All of which would need huge amounts of Galleons. And how would the future generations be able to procreate successfully when they were coming from the same father?”
“Let me address your concerns one by one. First, yes, it will take years, and it’s to be expected. You can’t give birth to a whole new world in a week. Regarding consent, you won’t need to worry. I can assure you, you will be very attractive to your partners. Furthermore, Magic will help to lower their inhibitions and connect them to their magical cores through their sexuality. The carriers of your future babies are connected to the same magic, to the same intent as you. You will be able to easily recognize those who are not candidates for carrying, although I can assure you most of the wizards and witches will be up to the task, as Magic wants to preserve their unique genetics. On the other hand, your genetics will not cause any problems in the future generations, as they are constantly mutating into different versions of you.”
Well, at least there wouldn’t be any defects in development, Harry thought.
“To address your money concerns, the Gringotts hold a special investment account and asset portfolio to cover the needs of future generations fathered by the Alpha. The children can also be in some cases fathered by someone else other than the Alpha, although it requires great magical strength and great compatibility between the father and bearer," he explained.
Regarding organization, we will also help to gather nurses, house elves, and other staff needed. Each pregnancy is immediately noted in the Gringotts' books together with names of the parents and support that needs to be provided to them,” the goblin said and handed Harry a parchment with the list of assets and vault content.
Harry’s eyebrow shot up. He had never seen such a number. Apparently, there were billions of gallons at his disposal.
“You just need to trust the Magic. She will guide you and help you with everything you may need.”
At that, Harry straightened. He knew what he needed. Just yesterday, he would think he had gone mad, but today he just knew.
“Do you know about an easy undetectable way of transportation for underage wizards?”
Nurlog smirked knowingly. "The easiest way is to use house elves. If you want, we can arrange-”
“No need, thank you,” Harry interrupted him. “Dobby,” he said, and in the next second, the house elf appeared next to him with a soft pop.
“Harry Potter called Dobby! What can Dobby do for Harry Potter?” the elf said, eyes huge with adoration.
“Hi, Dobby. Are you capable of taking me to Hogwarts?”
Elve’s eyes filled with tears.
“Dobby is so sorry,” he squealed, looking like it was tearing him apart. “Dobby can’t transport there anyone who isn’t his bonded master, Harry Potter, Sir.
“Hmm, and what is needed to bond with an elf? With you? Would… Would you want to? I would never force you of co-”
The creature wailed, huge tears streaming down his small face. “Harry Potter wants Dobby, he wants to be Dobby’s Master,” he hiccuped, “Dobby would be so happy and honored! Master Harry Potter, Sir.”
“You would? Really? That’s great. Don’t cry, please,” he said nervously, his heart clenching for the creature that experienced so little kindness. “Just tell me what to do.”
“Harry Potter just needs to take Dobby’s hand and let Magic create the bond.”
Harry smiled and did just that. He felt a warm energy sweep through him, and in the next second, he looked into the eyes of what looked like the happiest house elf in the world.
“Dobby will not let Master Harry down,” he whispered, totally overwhelmed.
“I know Dobby, thank you.”
Harry looked up at the Nurlog.
"Is there anything else I should know of?"
“Not right now. We will start the preparations and keep you updated. I believe bi-weekly meetings should be sufficient to organize the transformation.”
“Sorry for asking, but why are you helping wizards?”
The goblin smiled, all his teeth showing.
“It’s said that individuals who come from this change will be a new generation with fewer strings to the past and less prejudice, with stronger moral principles and higher respect for laws of Nature. Goblins can only benefit. Also, we receive a ten percent fee for managing the Alpha’s wealth.” He grinned, making Harry shiver slightly.
Well, that explained things.
“Good for you,” Harry nodded and put a folded piece of parchment into his pocket. “Thank you for everything.”
The goblin bowed his head.
Harry took Dobby’s hand. It was time to answer another nudge of the Magic. Time to claim his Primary.
“Take me to Hogwarts, right in front of the door to Severus Snape’s personal quarters.
