Work Text:
No one could have ever said Allison Argent had a normal life. Her boyfriend was a werewolf, so was her ex and most of her friend group was comprised of other supernatural beings (including a banshee and a kitsune). And that´s without counting the fact that she was part of a family of hunters. Allison was many things, but normal was not one of them.
No one could have ever said Allison was a perfect girl, either. She had made a lot of mistakes in the last few years, including, among others, trying to murder a few innocent teenagers for the sole crime of being supernatural creatures. One would think that attempted murder is not something you can be redeemed from, but, then again, little before that happened Allison had suffered from her beloved aunt´s death (after discovering she was a psychopathic mass murderer) and her grandfather´s manipulation (who was somehow even more of a psychopath than her aunt). At the end of the day, Allison wasn´t perfect, but she has grown from her mistakes and was trying to make things better.
So no one could say Allison Argent was a normal person, nor a perfectly good one. That doesn’t mean she was evil, or a weird freak… even if that was what she felt like half the time. You see, Allison was in love with a boy, Isaac, who was sweet, treated her good, and had a great relationship with her father… and yet, she was still completely in love with her ex-boyfriend, Scott. And that made her feel terrible.
It´s not that Allison wanted to leave Isaac for Scott, nor that she was stringing her boyfriend along to get over her last relationship. Not at all. Allison really, truly, loved them both. And that made her feel even more weird and like a bad person than usual… and she couldn´t even discuss it with anyone. Lydia, her best friend, would probably tell her that she was in denial and should pick one (depending on her mood and who she found hotter at the moment, she may even comment on who she thought she should choose) and that would just make her feel worse. Outside of Lydia… Stiles was Scott´s best friend, and Kira had something going on with Scott as well, so there wasn´t anybody in her friend group that she could talk about it with.
And, in the end, she ended up discussing it with none of them… but with Isaac. And surprisingly enough, it wasn´t even Allison who brought it up.
As any good couple would, Isaac and Allison communicated well, and chatted a lot, about a great deal of topics… amongst them, former relationships and crushes. It was within that topic, that Isaac addressed the elephant in the room named Scott.

“Wait, wait, wait”- Interrupted Allison- “Are you telling me that you ALSO had a crush on Scott?”
“umm, yeah? I mean, it´s not like I told anyone though, I don´t even think any of the pack members actually knows I´m bi”
“Not even Scott?”
“I told him once that he looked hot but I think he took it as a joke…”
“wow… and, do you still have feelings for him or…?”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“I mean, it would be fine if you do, cause, you know… me too”
It turns out Allison wasn´t that much of a weird freak, nor such a bad person, because she had found one of the only persons in this world that could understand exactly how she felt, loving two people at the same time. Isaac, after the streak of bad luck that comprised… basically his whole life, also deserved someone who got him and loved him just as he was.
And so, the fact that they both loved Scott changed absolutely nothing in their relationship… just the fact that they both agreed that, if the opportunity came up and Scott ever seemed interested, they would tell him everything and ask if he wanted to be part of the relationship as well. If it was something they all wanted, nobody could have a problem with it.

The problem with this is that Allison Argent died a little after this conversation took place. In a fight against the onis, which were being controlled by the nogitsune, she was stabbed by one of their swords.
She spent her last few moments cradled in Scott´s arms, with Isaac right next to them. If she had to die so soon, she thought, at least she would do so with the people she loved the most by her side. It was the perfect way to go. Isaac though, already knew she loved him, she had reminded him of that right before the fatidic battle, but Scott… it had been a long time since she had told him so and because of that, she confessed her love with her last breath.
Maybe, someone who knew her any less, who didn´t know all her feelings, would have thought it strange, her professing her love for her ex with her boyfriend right next to her, but Allison knew that Isaac would understand.
And that´s why her last thought was for the both of them, hoping that in the future, they may be able to find comfort in one another, with the love they all knew existed between them…

The problem with this is that things didn´t happen like that.
In the end, Scott became Beacon Hills protector and Malia Tate-Hale´s partner.
In the end, Isaac left to live in France by himself and that´s where he stayed for the rest of his life, isolated and with no contact with the rest of the pack.
In the end, Allison´s life wasn´t normal, or morally perfect. In the end, it was simply a tragedy
