Percy watched as the ship descended upon New Rome. He heard people mutter Jason Grace's name but one person stood out from among the crowd that made his vision tunnel. Annabeth. His heart raced, his body shaking as he saw the girl he loved
She smiled at him, that same cocky grin that annoyed him for years but became endearing to him. She looked as beautiful as when he last saw her maybe even a bit better. She seemed tanner, taller, more fit than he remembered.
Percy was too stunned to move, he felt that if he got closer to her his body might combust. Yeah he had a not so secret crush on her since they were young but last summer he fell for her hard. They'd been a happy couple before Hera seperated them.
Reyna then stepped forward, "Jason Grace my former colleague," she said carefully. "Welcome home and welcome to your friends."
He didn't mean to do it but he surged forward. Annabeth rushed towards him at the same time, the crowd was tense and some reached for weapons anticipating a fight.
He threw his arms around her and pressed his lips against hers. They kissed, and for a moment nothing else in the world mattered. An asteroid could have hit the planet and killed everyone but he wouldn't care so long as she was with him.

Annabeth was everything to him, she was his and he was hers and nothing could separate them. He loved her with every fiber of his body and he would stand by her over everything.
Annabeth pulled away and studied his face. "Gods, I never thought—"
Percy grabbed her wrist and flipped her over his shoulder. She slammed into the stone pavement, some of her teammates yelled in protest. The blonde who he assumed was Jason along with a Latino demigod surged forward, but the short haired girdl shouted, "It's alright guys its how their relationship is," she said.
Percy put his knee on Annabeth's chest. He pushed his forearm against her throat. He didn't care what the Romans or her new friends thought. A white-hot lump of anger expanded in his chest—a tumor of worry and bitterness that he'd been carrying around since forever.
"If you ever leave me again," he said his eyes stinging. "I swear to all the gods-"
Annabeth had the nerve to laugh. Suddenly the lump of heated emotions melted inside of her. "Consider me warned seaweed brain," she said. "I missed you too.
He helped her to her feet. He wanted to kiss her again so badly but he managed to restrain himself, after all he made his point they belonged to each other and only each other.
"So uh this is your boyfriend?" The blonde haired guy asked looking at him incredulously his eyes betraying disbelief that he just judo flipped Annabeth. "Does he usually judo flip people?"
"I only attack my girlfriend like that," he said with a wide grin. "Nice to meet you guys."
Annabeth nodded, "Percy this is Jason, Piper, and Leo." The three of them looked at him as if he just did something crazy but he ignored it.
Reyna came up and clasped her hands, "Alright it seems we have a lot to discuss come lets do it over lunch."
He smiled at Annabeth though her friends still gave him a dirty look. What don't they spar amongst each other too?
