PALDEA GIRL DIES IN WOODCHIPPER ACCIDENT
Tragic news from Paldea: Nemona Alegria, the president of the student council of Paldea's prestigious Naranja Academy, was killed yesterday afternoon after falling into a running woodchipper, according to Paldean authorities.
A press release from the coroner's office states that at 3 pm yesterday Nemona and her friend Florian Scarlet were helping a team of tree trimmers clear several fallen trees along the main access road to Mesagoza, the Paldean capital. A woodchipper was being used to deal with branches. However, as Nemona was walking to the machine to load a branch in, a Smoliv darted in front of her and managed to trip her up, and Nemona fell into the machine and was killed instantly when she was shredded to pieces by the blades.
The coroner's office has ruled her death an accident.
One of the tree trimmers, who is being kept anonymous at their request, stated that the area around the chipper looked like "a splatter gorefest" and states that it was "horrifying that this happened to someone so young".
Director Clavell of Naranja Academy has stated the entire school is "in mourning" and has stated counselling will be made available for those who need it. The academy did not immediately respond to the United News Network's request for comment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing, according to the coroner's office.
