Work Text:
Every day started out the same: Kara rolled out of bed at five-thirty in the morning and hurried into the shower, then she dressed in a modest and unflattering pants suit. She combed out her hair, tied it up in a messy bun, brushed her teeth and grabbed a hockey-puck sized suppressor tablet.
While she waited for the tablet to fizz in water so she could drink it down, Kara moved around in the kitchen to make breakfast for her family. She cut apples into bite-sized pieces for her daughter Elle and then whipped up a quick egg soufflé or a frittata with peppers.
Lena came into the kitchen from her separate master bedroom around six o’clock in the morning. With a tight frown on her face, she watched Kara drink down her suppressor-infused water, and then went about packing Elle’s bag for Pre-K. She put in extra books and science activities, in case their precocious three year old became bored with whatever the teacher had planned for that day.
For the most part, Lena had nothing to say to her, but Kara always smiled the brightest in the morning and kissed Lena on the cheek.
In turn, Lena always lingered with her arms around Kara —which lasted until they both heard small feet rushing towards them.
Unlike most children of her age, Elle needed no help waking up, but she did need help with things like dressing and combing her hair. Her blonde curls were full of knots in the morning, like she had spent the entire night rolling around.
Lena scooped Elle up as soon as she barreled into the room, and for the next hour, it was a pleasant chaos.
“I want ice cream,” Elle announced as Lena lowered her into a high-chair and belted her in, then ran a quick diagnostic on the power-suppressing bracelet the little girl wore.
“No ice cream for breakfast,” Kara firmly told her and placed a small blue tray in front of her with apples and a slice of the frittata she made. “You can have eggs and apples. You love apples.”
“I don’t. I love ice cream. Mommy, can I have ice cream?” Elle asked and set her pleading green eyes on Lena, in case she could wheedle it out of her instead.
“After dinner,” Lena bargained and settled down at the table so she could brush the messy hair from Elle’s eyes. “You’ll have a special dinner tonight like we talked about – just you and Momma.”
It was a little reminder of their impending divorce. No matter how many daily reminders Kara received, it struck her harder each time.
Even though it was a mutually agreed upon decision, Kara couldn’t help the way her smile disappeared. She stood at the counter and began prepping Elle’s lunch, and thankfully the distraction helped her mood to bounce back.
Divorce felt like the healthiest option for them, because Kara didn’t want Lena to be miserable in a marriage where they hardly connected anymore. It would be good for their family and she and Lena would be great co-parents and friends. The thought of that brought Kara’s smile back and she finished cutting the crusts off of two sandwiches, one for Elle and one for Lena.
When she turned around, she noticed that Lena had been observing her and glaring at the sandwich.
“I suppose I shouldn’t even be here this morning if we want to get into the swing of our new custody arrangement,” Lena muttered as she came over to speak to Kara out of Elle’s earshot. “Should I just meet you at noon with our mediator?”
“Oh, sure, that’s—that’s fine—that would be great,” Kara agreed.
It confused her when she noticed just a small touch of anger on Lena’s face.
Lena gave her the cold shoulder after that, turning around to kiss the top of Elle’s head. “Have a great day, Ellie, and I’ll see you tomorrow,” She whispered and then exited the room before Kara could even give her the lunch bag she hastily packed.
Elle sat munching on her apples and when she finished, she lifted her small arms for Kara to come pick her up.
“Can I have mommy’s lunch too?” Elle asked, her bright eyes already locked on the bag that Kara left on the table. The bracelet stopped her powers and reduced some of Elle’s metabolism, but she still experienced a greater appetite than a fully human child of her age.
Kara laughed and shook her head sympathetically. “That’s only for grown-ups.” She informed her daughter, who scrunched her face up in confusion and stuck her lower lip out in a pout.
“No it’s not,” Elle huffed, and pointed to her own bagged lunch in accusation. “You make us the same every morning. Puhleeaase.” She begged, making grabby hands at the spare lunch that suddenly had all of Kara’s attention.
Kara was mortified to realize Elle was right. She made two sandwiches with turkey and lettuce and tomato and packed them with some choco’s, carrot sticks and a kid’s juice box.
How long had she been doing that? Elle had only been going to Pre-K for a few months, but Kara always made lunch for both of them. Had she been doing it the whole time Elle had been eating solids?
Kara was so distracted by trying to remember that it was Elle who pointed to the clock with a shriek. “We’re gonna be late! Hurry momma, hurry, we’ll miss the morning song!”
“Shoot, okay, just give me a minute to grab my things and we’ll be out of here.” Kara promised, gulping down her coffee and grabbing her keys.
Elle was jumping at the door and trying to catch the handle, her chin quivering in preparation to let out a scream of frustration.
“Coat on, it’s cold out there.” Kara reminded her, but Elle was fast and wrapped her arms around her middle to prevent Kara from putting it on her.
“Nooo, I hate it. We gotta go now or we’ll miss the song,” Elle demanded, stomping her little feet impatiently.
“We can’t go until you put this on first,” Kara insisted, and knelt down to get to Elle’s eye level. “Even I have to wear one, see? It’s good for us.”
Kara tugged at her jacket with a hopeful smile, and received a tantrum instead that sent Elle running off to avoid her coat at all costs.
When they finally got out of the house ten minutes later, with Elle in her coat, traffic was so slow that when they arrived at school, Elle’s Pre-K class had already started. The teacher had to soothe Elle by promising they would sing more songs later in the day and Kara tried not to feel bad when the three year old ran off without giving her a hug.
The rest of the morning went as usual. Kara arrived at work, and Lena was locked in meetings, so every time she tried to call her wife’s office, the secretary apologized but wouldn’t transfer the call.
Around eleven, Kara packed up her things and made her way across town with determination not to acknowledge the twisting in the pit of her stomach.
It was fine. Lots of people got divorced and still managed to remain friends without any problems. And she owed Lena the chance to be happy, didn’t she?
After all, Lena had given Kara the gift of a child, and just because Kara was still in love with her, it didn’t mean she had the right to keep the omega trapped in a relationship she no longer wanted. It was better to set Lena free.
Kara listed the reasons why this would work out so often that she believed them, though that was hardly a consolation when she found herself alone in their mediation meeting, sitting next to their mediator Martin, who wasn’t nearly as subtle as he thought when he checked his watch for the fifth time.
“Sorry, my wife’s not usually the type to run late.” Kara exhaled a nervous laugh, then spotted his scrutinizing stare and corrected herself immediately. “Ex-wife.”
He didn’t say anything, and the awkward silence was enough to choke on as Kara toyed with the ring that hung from her necklace. She held it for a moment, pressing it against her palm in the pursuit of comfort. She experienced an urge to slip the wedding band around her finger, and might have actually done it had Lena not stormed through the door with an ominous glint in her eyes.
“Miss Luthor, nice of you to finally join us.” Martin drawled, and sat up a bit straighter with his pen poised in his hand. “Shall we begin?”
“Sure — we’re uh —we’re ready,” Kara nodded, her smile soft as she glanced across the table to Lena, who was staring back at her with narrowed, calculating eyes. “Right?” Kara prompted, somewhat subdued as she sank in her chair.
Lena drew her a look and settled her gaze on the mediator, who cleared his throat and regarded the document in front of him. “Let’s start with the small stuff,” He suggested. “Who is getting the Franke Evolution 1 Step coffee maker?”
“I am,” Lena intoned sharply, and the words came out so fast that even the mediator appeared surprised.
Kara let out a startled laugh and gave her soon-to-be ex-wife a curious glance. “But you don’t even drink coffee. You prefer tea.”
“I like the smell of it.” Lena deadpanned, and Kara shifted uncomfortably in her seat as the businesswoman inside Lena reared up to take charge.
“You bought it for me.” Kara mumbled under her breath, but evidently not quietly enough, because Lena scoffed.
“And you bought me a wedding ring, and yet here we are because things change.” Lena grit out with enough anger that their mediator shuffled his papers and coughed to break the tension.
“Perhaps we should come back to that.” He suggested mildly, but Kara waved him off with her resignation. “No, no, it’s fine, she can have it.”
He made a note of it and continued. “Okay, next on the list is your Matisse painting.”
“It’s mine,” Lena intoned with a flick of her eyelashes as she glanced over at Kara, as if waiting for her to dispute it or make demands of her own.
Kara nodded along with that, because Lena had purchased the artwork at a charity auction. She was willing to give Lena whatever she wanted, but as the mediator proceeded with the long checklist of their assets, Kara began to realize that the omega wanted it all.
It began to seem petty when they reached assets that had been Kara’s prior to the marriage, like an antique art easel she bought when she was fifteen, and a signed copy of a book by a reporter she admired.
“The easel is in Elle’s bedroom. I see no reason to change our daughter’s living space around, and you were only able to get that book signed because of an event I hosted,” Lena argued with an infuriated furrow between her eyebrows, as she leaned forward to glance at the notes that the mediator was jotting down.
“You can keep the book, but the easel is mine,” Kara stated, but she faltered when Lena raised a haughty eyebrow and hardened her jaw. “I want it back.”
“Are you seriously going to take away something that our daughter loves?” Lena challenged with the jut of her chin and a tone so frosty the mediator nervously glanced towards Kara.
“I’ll buy her a new one,” Kara reasoned, scrambling as a strange dread built up inside of her. “A better one.” She had lost everything she owned once before, and now she was losing everything again, and she tried to force her panic down by blocking out the emotions behind it all.
Lena appeared to be studying Kara, taking in the tight-lipped rigidity of her before announcing firmly, “Elle has an attachment to that one.”
“Well so do I,” Kara blurted, her breaths a little shorter and sharper as she frowned at Lena. “You know it’s the first one I bought after I landed here.” She paled from that wording and rushed on with, “On — on a plane.”
“Fine, keep the easel,” Lena spat, and if Kara wasn’t mistaken, she appeared victorious, even after deciding to give in.
To make matters all the more difficult, Lena was dressed to kill in a plum mini dress with her signature red lipstick, and she had that hawkish gleam in her eyes that Kara always found attractive when it was directed towards anyone else.
Kara didn’t like being on the receiving end of Lena’s wrath, and she shrank from it, pressing a hand against the side of her face as the mediator moved on.
“Now we just have the matter of your residences—the apartment on Hope Street, the penthouse uptown, and the house,” Martin mentioned, and from the tense way he curled the papers in his hands, he must have been expecting a more explosive argument.
“We already decided I would keep my apartment on Hope Street and the house we bought together, and Lena would take the penthouse,” Kara explained. She was unprepared for how fast Lena turned on her with a menacing sneer.
“What makes you think you’re entitled to any of that?” Lena asked with her eyebrows tightening together and a wrinkle of disbelief between them. “I bought your apartment building when the landlord wanted to sell to that other developer who wanted to turn it into a hotel chain. I’ve just renovated an apartment for myself in that building. I plan to retain all of the properties, and you can rent from me.”
The whole idea that Lena would begrudge her a place to live would have been unthinkable yesterday, and Kara almost hyperventilated for a good minute as she tried to come up with the words to fight back.
“I know you wanted to handle this peaceably, but I think you might both be in need of some more legal counsel before finalizing your divorce,” Martin intoned, and slid his card across the table to Kara, like it was clear he wanted to take her side in this matter.
Kara started to put her hand out to grab the card when Lena swiped it off the table and stared at Kara like she was waiting for her to get angry.
When that didn’t happen, Lena dramatically lifted her own belongings and exited the room without even a glance back at Kara.
“Seriously, you should take this.” Martin insisted, and handed Kara another card before he walked out of the room, leaving her there with nothing but a number and a sickening twist in her stomach that everything was wrong.
Kara didn’t return to work. She went back to the penthouse and sat on the couch with their wedding photos and wondered how the woman she loved could be so cruel.
All of those happy memories seemed like a lifetime away, and she flipped through the photo albums faster and faster, noticing the bright smiles fading before her eyes. Years went by in seconds, their love dimming with each page until half the pictures started to reflect their growing distance by only featuring one of them with Elle instead of both of them. The last half of the album was exclusively their daughter, with neither of them in the pictures, and Kara felt the emptiness inside herself grow.
Kara must have sat there for hours, because her alarm went off to remind her to pick up Elle from Pre-K, and she rushed out of the apartment without checking her schedule. It was only when she got to the school and saw Kelly waiting with a few other moms and Elle excitedly bouncing that she remembered she agreed to host the play date this week.
“You sure you can handle five kids at once?” One of the mothers asked gently, as if she could see the weariness of Kara’s soul through her cheerful facade.
It seemed like they had all shown up on the off chance that Kara wouldn’t be able to deal with it this week.
“Hey, I managed the bake sale, and look at them, they’re gonna have so much fun.” Kara forced a smile onto her face and bundled all the kids into the car while they excitedly screeched, and then buckled their car seats before driving back to the penthouse.
Normally Kara could handle anything, but the second the kids were loose inside the apartment, all hell broke out.
Elle was pulling out paints and pens and handing them out like awards to her friends. A little blonde boy named Bradley sneezed and refused to let Kara wipe the snot bubble that covered his top lip. Cheryl, the only redhead of the bunch, managed to get ahold of Kara’s cell phone and wouldn’t give it back, and Alex’s daughter Laurel and the other boy Jayden had started chanting “Cake! Cake! Cake!” at the top of their lungs while they jumped on the sofa.
“Wow, you guys sure have a lot of energy,” Kara managed a laugh as she scooped Laurel off the couch and tried to catch Jayden before he made a dive for the table. “You can have cake after dinner. I’m making us meatballs and—”
“Pizza!” Cheryl declared, high pitched and manic as she ran literal circles around Kara as she tried to make her way to the kitchen.
“Well, if you want pizza, you gotta give me back my phone.” Kara reasoned and held her hand out expectantly with a bright smile.
“Nuh uh!” Cheryl clutched the phone in both hands, then spun off to join Jayden in climbing over the furniture.
Elle had set up her art supplies and was encouraging Bradley and Laurel to stick their fingers in paint.
Kara could see the disaster before it even happened and called out in warning, “Elle, don’t use paint on the wall.”
The children’s laughter rang throughout the penthouse, and Kara didn’t hear the key turning in the lock, or the door opening as she half-tripped over a box of toys and tried to catch Cheryl, who had somehow managed to unlock her phone by repeatedly pressing at the screen.
“No, no, don’t do that.” Kara pleaded, her hand outstretched as she promised, “I’ll give you cake if you give it back, okay?”
“Mommy!” Elle cried out, and Kara felt her stomach lurch as she stood up to see Lena striding through the door.
Bradley tried to get Kara’s attention at that exact moment by pulling on her sleeve. He covered her cuff in bright red paint and when she didn’t react, he leaned in to wipe his nose on her pant leg before running off in fits of laughter.
Lena’s stern expression softened as Elle hopped into her arms. “How was school?” She asked, and Elle rested her head on Lena’s shoulder, as if she was suddenly tired from all of the running around.
“We read three stories and made pictures of our families,” Elle answered, and started to squirm a little as she reached for her bag that sat on a chair.
Kara grabbed for a roll of paper towels and wiped herself down while Lena unzipped Elle’s bag and pulled out a picture that was entirely too realistic. It showed Lena in her lab coat with a frowny face and squiggly body, and Kara in a square-looking outfit with giant glasses standing far off to the side. Elle was the center of the picture, and her little arms were exaggerated in size to make up for the fact that Kara and Lena were so far apart.
“An accurate depiction of us,” Lena remarked and then handed it to Elle along with a magnet so she could hang it up on the fridge.
Lena took a disapproving glance around at the state of the house and then belted an apron around her middle.
“I’m going to bake cookies, so line up at the sink to wash your hands if you want to help,” Lena called out, and soon she had five well-behaved little angels waiting patiently in front of her. She guided each one of them onto a stool in front of the sink and assisted in scrubbing down their grubby small hands.
Kara hovered close by and dried them off, and once all of the children were seated around the table, Lena distracted them with paper and crayons and encouraged them to come up with recipes while she gathered up the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies.
It also gave Lena plenty of time to glare at Kara and explain why she had shown up. “Kelly phoned me about the play date and how you chose not to cancel. She told me that you didn’t even bother telling her or Alex about our meeting with the mediator, and she only found out because Alex saw it on your work calendar.”
Kara tried to shrug it off, because she didn’t understand why it was such a big deal that she was handling all of her responsibilities.
“It’s like our divorce doesn’t even matter to you,” Lena muttered and her face was glacial, her lips pinched as she peered over at Kara with watery eyes.
“What? No—Lena, of course it matters. Trust me, I want it to go smoothly,” Kara assured her in the lightest tone she could muster, and then she pulled a bag of chocolate morsels from the top shelf that Lena couldn’t reach to be helpful. “The sooner we can get it all resolved, the better.”
If Kara had any hope that would console Lena, it was dashed as the omega slammed a bag of flour down on the countertop. It exploded in Kara’s face. She coughed and wheezed like she had been hit with a Kryptonite bomb, and all of the kids giggled at the sight of her.
“You look like a clown,” Cheryl stated with glee, and pointed at Kara until the other children all echoed her words.
“Yeah.” Kara wiped at her face miserably, and slapped at her shirt to try and shake off the thick dusting of flour. “I kind of feel like one too.”
The children had no idea what she meant, but Lena honed in on it so fast that Kara backed herself into the large fridge as her soon-to-be ex-wife brandished a wooden spoon at her.
“And whose fault is that, Kara?” Lena hissed under her breath, so as not to disturb the children. “When was the last time you took a good look at yourself?”
Kara floundered, panic causing her tongue to stick to the roof of her mouth as she shrugged. “I mean, I see myself every day.” She mumbled, confused by the sudden anger that had built up within Lena in what seemed like a matter of days. “Are you—is this about the easel, because I let you have everything else—”
“Get out of the kitchen,” Lena intoned so coldly that Kara could have sworn she felt frostbite begin in her heart.
“Lena, I—” Kara swallowed thickly as the omega raised her chin and set her jaw in a way that promised trouble. “Okay,” She whispered before she slinked out of the way.
Lena abruptly turned with a sugary tone to announce that they were all set to make cookies, and the kids went wild, in a controlled, and shockingly less messy way than Kara was accustomed to dealing with whenever she was in charge. Lena refused to look at her, and so Kara wandered off to the bathroom to wash her face and spent a good ten minutes arm-deep in the couch trying to find her phone.
When she finally located it in one of the plant pots, Lena was opening the oven to pull out the freshly baked cookies to a chorus of “ooh’s” and “ahh’s” and Kara drifted closer with the same kind of hopefulness of the kids.
Kara felt sadness grip her chest, and it squeezed around her throat as she thought of how much she was going to miss seeing Lena in her apron. “They look really good,” She managed to force a smile, her hand gliding through the air to motion at the cookies. “They always do when you make them.”
Lena tucked a cookie around a napkin, and for a second it seemed like she wanted to give it to Kara, but then she harshly demanded, “Get out, Kara. There’s only room for five children in this kitchen, not six.”
Kara hesitated, because she could see Lena’s throat jump like she was on the verge of tears.
As soon as all of the kids were settled with cookies and glasses of milk, Lena leaned down to kiss Elle’s cheek and promised she would see her later.
“I need to get back to L-Corp,” Lena called out and made her way to the door with a fast stolen glance back at Kara. Her pale green eyes settled on Kara, a flicker of pain in them before she rushed out to the elevator.
Kara wanted her to stay and talk, and even took a few steps towards the elevator in the hopes of catching up to her, except she had no idea of what to say.
Lena had been the one to suggest the divorce a few months ago after a quiet conversation in bed, and the next day, the omega had gone ahead with drafting the paperwork. She sent it in an envelope to CatCo, and when Kara opened it, she had hyperventilated for a good thirty minutes, then spent every day privately breaking down over their failed marriage.
Around Lena, Kara put on an act because she figured if she was cheerful and upbeat, the omega might change her mind.
Months had passed and Kara’s constant consolation was the idea that she could still be around Lena and have a solid friendship with her, even if they were no longer married. She was just beginning to understand how wrong she had been, how deluded.
Kara lingered by the coat rack in the entrance until she heard a clatter of pots and pans in the kitchen.
The instinct to use super speed was in her veins, but when she moved it was with fast steps and not even a little bit of the energy that belonged to Supergirl. She was just plain Kara Danvers, who had proven to be both a bad spouse and parent.
Three of the kids had decided to continue baking cookies and dumped the rest of the flour and a whole carton of eggs into the largest mixing bowl. Shells swam in it and Bradley lifted them out with a soup ladle.
Elle appeared to be overseeing the whole process while eating more of the cookies Lena had made. “Want one, Momma?” She asked, and based on the number left on the plate, Kara calculated that her daughter had already devoured six.
Kara thought about being stern with Elle and demanding the kids help clean the kitchen, but a sudden apathy took control of her, and she snatched a cookie from the plate. “Thanks.” She took a big bite and let crumbs drop everywhere with the plan of sitting down at the kitchen table and watching the kids wreck the house.
It would have been easy to give up, except she did a fast head count of the kids, and realized someone was missing. “Where’s Jayden?” She asked with a squint of worry and headed down the hall to search for the boy.
Five minutes later, she found him in the master bedroom wearing a pair of Lena’s Salvatore Ferragamo heels. He held a tube of Kara’s ugly, light pink lipstick that she only wore to work to complete her identity transformation.
When she spotted the kid doing a twirl in front of the mirror, he froze as though he expected to get in trouble, but Kara opened up her drawer of blushes and lipsticks and waved him over.
“Have at it, kid,” She encouraged and grabbed a few shades that she guessed would go with his complexion. “I hate this stuff. Help yourself to whatever you want.”
Kara didn’t stick around to see what Jayden dived into first, but his gasp of excitement followed her down the hall.
Cheryl and Laurel had given up on their endeavor of making more cookies and were eagerly applying the mixture to themselves, the counters, and all over the floor as they chased each other with goopy handfuls around the kitchen island.
Elle had eaten her way through the rest of the cookies and the surplus of sugar meant she was practically vibrating with energy. She was running around with her hands in the air screaming while Bradley ran after her, roaring like a dinosaur with his hands outstretched.
Everywhere Kara looked, something was misplaced or smeared in Rao knows what. Paint was on the walls, colorful handprints that gradually faded across the table, the carpet, and the back of the couch. One of the potted plants had been upended and chunks of dirt had crumbled across the floor. The TV remote was precariously placed between the cushions of the couch, straight up, and upon further inspection, was missing one of the batteries.
It was absolute carnage, and Kara moved through it all with a bland indifference as she slotted a cup under the coffee machine that now belonged exclusively to Lena and hit the button.
Was she the reason their marriage had failed? Lena was as bitter as the expensive coffee she purchased online, but Kara couldn’t figure out why it was erupting now after months of peaceful negotiation.
She had just sat down with her coffee in hand when Cheryl ran past and dolloped a handful of mush into the cup, and Kara sighed as she stared at the floating mass. “Thanks kid.”
“You’re welcome!” Cheryl happily replied, and Kara scooped it out with her fingers and took a sip of the dark liquid. She was pretty sure she swallowed an egg shell, but it didn’t stop her from having another drink.
“Kara?”
The sound of Alex drew her out of her thoughts and she stood up with a slow smile as her sister walked in and shut the door behind her.
“Hey, what uh—what are you doing here?” Kara asked, her eyes flicking from Alex to the cup in her hand, and then to Bradley, who shrieked in amazement at Jayden, who clip-clopped out in his new get-up with a face full of Kara’s make-up.
“I want a turn!” Bradley insisted, and then Laurel piped up, “Me too, me too!”
Alex gaped at her, wide eyed and jaw slack as she ran her fingers through her hair and sputtered in exasperation, “What am I doing here? Kara, what are you doing here? What the hell happened at that mediation? Is this some kind of breakdown? Because you can talk to me, you know that, right? You can tell me anything. I’m your sister.”
“I’m not having—”
“Mooooom,” Laurel yelled, finally spotting Alex as she sprinted over to launch herself into her legs. “Auntie Lena made us cookies and Jayden won’t share his shoes!”
“She did?” Alex asked, her airy tone for her daughter as she questioned Kara with her eyes. “I thought Auntie Lena wasn’tgoing to be here tonight.”
“Surprise visit,” Kara mumbled, her shoulders bunching up until they almost touched her ears, then she pressed her lips together and huffed out defensively, “Apparently you guys called her because Kelly was surprised I was taking the kids for a play date.”
“We’re worried.” Alex stressed, her concern all over her face as she wrapped her arm around Laurel and encouraged her to go get her things by pointing to her bag. “You haven’t been yourself.”
“I’m fine,” Kara insisted, her tone a little strained as she raised her hands dramatically. It was terrible timing, because Cheryl bumped into her as she ran by with one of Lena’s shoes, and Kara knocked her coffee all down the front of herself. She didn’t bother using her super reflexes anymore, not even to save her clothes.
Alex looked like she was holding back a rant, but after a few tense breaths she said, “Look I know you’re going through a lot right now, so let me take all of the kids home and you can get a head start on cleaning the place up, okay?
Kara didn’t fight her on it.
She didn’t fight Elle, either, the next morning when she refused to eat her breakfast and demanded ice cream instead. Her mind was on Lena and she felt subdued.
Kara scooped out a chunk of vanilla ice cream for her daughter and for a good five seconds, Elle sat there stunned, like she couldn’t believe Kara was letting her have it first thing in the morning.
Kara moved around on auto-pilot, adding her suppressor tablet to a glass of water and drinking it down before she opened the fridge. “What do you want for lunch, peanut butter and banana or—”
“Frosting!” Elle yelled, her little face covered in melted ice cream and her bowl completely empty.
“Sure, screw it, why not.” Kara mumbled under her breath, and tossed the bread back onto the shelf without bothering to meticulously seal the tie around it. “One day won’t hurt.”
Resignation had set in and Kara pulled open the cupboard to grab a tub of frosting and a plastic spoon, then packed both into Elle’s backpack.
They arrived on time to Elle’s school, and Kara made it to work twenty minutes early.
Alex texted her around nine to say she was picking up Elle from school at Lena’s request and keeping her over night.
That surprised Kara, considering they were trying out their custody arrangement in advance of their divorce, and Lena should have been handling it.
Kara tried not to dwell on negative thoughts, except it didn’t sit right with her, and she wondered if it was because of what happened between them the day before.
It bothered her for hours until Elle’s teacher called to ask her about the frosting in Elle’s bag. Kara informed her she would be right over with an actual lunch.
She bought lunch for Elle at a deli near the school, dropped it off, and then wandered through the park at the city center for the rest of the afternoon.
Her favorite donut stand was open and she bought a whole dozen and sat on a park bench with one in each hand while thinking of Lena.
She worked out a plan for that night — to go home and order both pizza and Chinese take-out and hang out in her pajamas while re-watching Westworld.
It was a complete fluke that she deviated from the plan entirely and ended up outside of Lena’s apartment.
She shoved her glasses up on the bridge of her nose and knocked suddenly with the courage to confront Lena. Her chest was puffed up in anticipation, and bursting with a flood of words and arguments, all of which dried up when Lena failed to come to the door.
Kara became even more agitated because she could hear Lena moving around, and in her frustration she tried the doorknob, only to strip the metal lock with her hard grip. The knob popped off in her hand and she forced the door in before she could even consider the potential ramifications of breaking into Lena’s apartment.
“Lena, I need to talk to you, and I’m not leaving until I do,” Kara announced from the foyer, and when she was met with silence, she stalked into the kitchen where she had heard the clatter of a cabinet shutting.
Lena stood at the center island in her kitchen with a full bottle of wine and two glasses, one half full. Kara noticed her hair was tousled and crinkled at the ends, like she had spent time lying on her back.
The scent of the omega was in the air, redolent and sexual, and it confused Kara after a few deep inhalations because Lena had been taking suppressors.
The omega wore a short silk robe that tapered high on her thighs. It was one that Kara remembered from years ago, when Lena was experiencing the most intense heat of her life and couldn’t bear to get dressed.
Kara drew her own conclusions instantly, and her chin wobbled as she asked, “Did I interrupt something? Are you—are you seeing someone else?”
Lena rolled her eyes as she poured a second glass of wine and set the bottle aside with a careless sweep of her hand. “Of course I’m not,” She rasped, the scratch of her voice a testament to how long she must have been trying to soothe herself. “I must have forgotten to take my suppressor the other week and now I’m in heat, but fortunately for me, you’ve shown up.”
“Oh.” Kara tried to smile, but the awkward slant of her lips fell as her jaw dropped.
Lena was prowling towards her with the other glass of wine and her robe parted as her hips swayed to show Kara more than she had seen in the past year.
The heady scent of Lena’s perfume grew stronger with every step and Kara almost choked on it as she tried not to stare at the glistening apex of her wife’s thighs.
“Lena, your robe—”
“Do you remember the days when you couldn’t keep your hands off me even when I wasn’t in heat?” Lena lilted as she pushed the wine into Kara’s hand and used her palms to smooth under Kara’s jacket and up her shirt.
There was an undertone of bitterness to Lena’s words, and Kara felt a pang in her chest and gulped down the wine as the omega nuzzled into her neck and nipped at her pulse to make it race.
“Lena, we’re getting divorced. You’re not thinking clearly,” Kara reasoned, and tried to untangle herself from Lena, but her wife kept her still by curling her fist into Kara’s shirt.
“You’d really leave me like this?” Lena questioned, her lips a scant inch from Kara’s as she whispered seductively, “In my hour of need when only you can help me, you’d subject me to this torture without aiding me at all?” She emphasized her point by grabbing Kara’s left hand and placing it over her dripping slit to let her feel the soft flutter inside of her cunt.
“No, that’s not what I’m saying,” Kara whined, her frustration the only thing that was apparently growing, because of the extraordinary strength of her suppressors.
“Then help me through this,” Lena coyly persisted, her lips finding Kara’s to initiate a slow kiss while her hand clasped the back of Kara’s neck, “I’ve been masturbating for hours, Kara. All without any relief.” She took a step back and Kara moved forward without thinking.
Lena stroked her fingers through the blonde curls at the nape of Kara’s neck and licked over her lower lip as she exhaled, “My fingers aren’t enough to satisfy me. Neither are toys. I tried so many.” Lena punctuated each sentence with a kiss, and Kara whimpered at the thought of Lena spread eagle and stuffing her cunt with all of the toys they had played with over the years.
The omega was leading her towards the bedroom with subtle steps to string her along, and it took Kara a moment to notice.
“Wait, Lena.” Kara chewed on the inside of her lip, her face burning in embarrassment as she mumbled under her breath, “What if I can’t—”
Lena shrugged like it didn’t matter and caught Kara by the hand to pull her along. “Then I guess we’ll make do.”
The bedroom was in complete disarray, and Kara took it all in with surprise on her face.
The sheets were ruffled and half off the bed, several sex toys in various shapes and sizes were strewn across the floor, as if Lena had flung them in frustration, and the smell of sex and frustration was far more potent.
Kara huffed at the scent greedily before she could stop herself and something wicked glinted in Lena’s eyes when she saw Kara’s reaction.
“It’s been a long time since you’ve seen me this desperate,” Lena noted seductively, a dark eyebrow lifting as she hooked her fingers into Kara’s belt and tugged her closer. “Do you still enjoy it, Kara?” She questioned suggestively, her hands making quick work of unclasping her belt as she looked Kara in the eye. “You used to take such delight in seeing me so needy for your cock.”
Kara swallowed thickly as Lena abruptly pulled her pants and boxers down, and she resisted the urge to cover her cock with her hands when Lena sat on the edge of the bed as if she might inspect it.
“You know I do, it’s just—” Kara chewed on her lower lip, and Lena hummed thoughtfully as she stared at her cock.
Performance anxiety wasn’t the only reason Kara felt anxious, if she was being honest with herself.
Being intimate with Lena could bring up complicated emotions that she had tried to bury over the past few months, and she worried what would happen if they surfaced all at once. She didn’t have to worry long as Lena took hold of her shaft and gave it a few quick tugs before she brought it to her lips and wrapped her hot mouth around the tip.
“Lena,” Kara exhaled in a rush, but her soon-to-be ex-wife was busy filling her mouth with as much of her cock as she could take.
Kara felt every throaty moan as Lena rolled her tongue along the underside of her shaft and the more she sucked, the harder Kara started to become.
It was an incredible sensation to feel herself stiffen in Lena’s mouth, but she must have closed her eyes to bask in the sensation, because the second she was standing at attention, Lena pulled back with a huff.
“Look at me,” Lena commanded in a soft, but foreboding tone, and then she reached for Kara’s hands and brought them to her loose dark hair. “Watch how good I am at sucking your cock, Kara.”
A small flicker of instinct took over as Kara fisted the silken strands to keep them away from Lena’s face, and the omega stared up at her suggestively and popped her lips over the broad head of her shaft.
Lena sucked with determination, pulling little stuttered gasps and moans out of Kara as she slurped and groaned with her mouth full.
Rao, Kara had missed this.
It was a sight that Kara had shamefully forgotten, one that she loved and often looked forward to, and now she desperately wanted to commit it to memory because it was very likely the last time it would ever happen.
She held Lena’s gaze and tried to read the intense emotions in her green eyes.
“I never was able to take all of you into my throat,” Lena mused salaciously, and flicked her tongue out to tease the sensitive rim with warm flutters as she stroked her hand over Kara’s thick length. “You’re just so big that you’d never fit.”
The hint of praise surprised Kara, and her body and ego reacted to it and she felt herself stiffen further. Lena grinned when it happened and took Kara back into her mouth like she was starving, forcing her erection down her throat until she gagged from it. Then she swallowed, and Kara shuddered from the hot suctioning clench of her muscles.
She could have come from it if Lena hadn’t sat up abruptly, her face pink and lips red, only to ask, “Don’t you want to fuck me, Kara? To feel my cunt squeeze around your cock?”
“You know I do,” Kara whispered, threading her fingers through Lena’s hair tenderly. It sparked something within the omega, because she stood up with narrowed eyes and turned on Kara to back her into the bed. She clawed her fingers in between the buttons of Kara’s shirt and ripped it open, then tossed it unceremoniously at the wall.
Lena pushed her down by the shoulders and onto the mattress, and Kara fell backwards as the omega gave a yank at her pants to get rid of them completely. She ripped her robe off with a defiant edge about her, and Kara whimpered when the omega moved with an almost feline grace to situate herself in her lap.
Lena’s fair skin had such a pretty flush to it, and it seemed to compliment the aggression she exuded when she looked imperiously down at Kara and then bluntly asked, “Do you ever think about all of those times I was such a slut for you?”
Kara gaped up at her, her brows knitting together as she tried to fight off a blush. Memories of their sex life flickered in Kara’s mind, breaking through the fog that clouded her on a daily basis.
“God, the way I would beg for your knot was almost degrading.” Lena sounded proud of herself as she rolled her drenched slit over Kara’s solid cock to let her feel the scorching warmth she was about to be inside.
Lena raised herself up and reached down to align Kara’s cock with her entrance, her heat so strong that slick dripped over Kara’s shaft. It was a mesmerizing sight that stole all of Kara’s attention, and she groaned when Lena lowered herself slowly to let her watch every inch sink into her needy cunt.
The second Kara was buried to the base, the omega began a rough and fast bounce that smacked her thighs into Kara’s while she rode her hard. Kara groaned as she clasped Lena’s hips, the whole bed shaking from the force of Lena taking what she wanted, and all Kara could do was hold on and whimper as her cock plunged into her wife’s impossibly tight cunt at breakneck speed.
Kara’s glasses slid down her nose crookedly and Lena swiped them off her face and flung them across the room without batting an eye.
“Should I beg for it again, Kara?” Lena rasped, her hooded eyes locked on Kara’s face as she filled her cunt so rapidly that her breasts bounced wildly. “Would you like to hear how desperate I am for your thick alpha cock?”
Kara could barely breathe as tendrils of pleasure fought to awaken her body in ways it hadn’t been awake in years. Parts of Kara long since dormant were being jolted back to life little by little with every furious bounce Lena took, but Kara still worried.
“Lena, I don’t know if I can knot, the suppres-smmphs--”
Quick as a flash, Lena slapped her hand over Kara’s mouth without slowing for a second and snarled, “Shut up about the fucking suppressors, and just fuck me like you’ve missed me!”
Kara’s hands found Lena’s backside, but they slid into place with the same anxiety she might have had if she was putting her hand straight onto kryptonite.
“I do — I do miss you,” Kara stuttered out in one rapid breath, which was half-moaned as Lena gripped her shoulders and rode her that much faster to compensate.
The slippery warmth inside of her made for a smooth and swift glide up and down, and Kara’s attention was divided between Lena’s face and her very spread pussy. The rutted gape of her was distracting when the omega rose up, and Kara watched the muscles tighten again, despite how deep and hard Lena took her cock.
Kara thought of putting a knot in her, of forcing her cunt wide open with it and she groaned out a few unintelligible words as Lena crooned, “Remember when you used to drop by my office in the middle of the day? How easy it was to pop a knot inside of me then? You thought we were sneaking around, but my whole board knew how much I was putting out for you, Kara.”
The new information that even the higher-ups at L-Corp were aware that Kara was around more often just to satisfy the needs of the CEO both shocked and thrilled her.
Lena swiped her fingers over her swollen little clit and moved her pelvis as she whimpered.
“Some of them even believed you accepted my offer to work at L-Corp just so you didn’t have to cross town to fuck me.” Lena tipped her head back as she spoke, her sultry words almost breathless as she slammed herself onto Kara’s cock and rubbed her clit with firm fingers.
Lena’s cunt clamped around Kara’s erection in sporadic pulsations as she played with herself, and Kara groaned, her heavy breaths becoming short and sharp from her obvious excitement. “Are you serious?” Kara asked, unable to stop the words from tumbling out her mouth.
Lena looked pleased with herself as she leaned forward to really fuck herself with Kara’s cock. She rocked roughly, sending the headboard into the wall with enough force to chip the paint. “Every time you told my secretary you were stopping by for lunch, you were basically confirming that you were about to rail her boss over the desk.” The omega husked, her breasts dangling in Kara’s face. “All of the employees on the top floor knew we were fucking long before we made it official and you proposed.”
“How could that be?” Kara whimpered, aroused by the declaration, even if she couldn’t wrap her mind around it.
“Well, you got me pregnant, for one, and though my office is soundproof, everyone could still smell that you’d used my cunt. The place always reeked of sex when you left,” Lena stated without any trace of regret, her rich tone filthy enough to send a shiver through Kara.
Her vision began to blur and turn hazy in a way it hadn’t in years, and Kara’s harsh breaths weren’t warm any longer when they puffed out. She dusted Lena’s nipples with shimmering frost as she moaned and grabbed her ass tighter to encourage her wife’s frantic pace.
“There you are,” Lena whispered in adoration, though she bounced hard enough to redden her inner thighs and demanded desperately, “Fuck me Kara. Fuck me like you’re trying to ruin me for anyone else, so my cunt can only belong to you.”
Kara experienced a flood of adrenaline that surged through her limbs and filled her with power. She forced Lena onto her cock as a spontaneous knot formed and let out a primal scream as her eyes burned red with laser vision.
Blasting thick ropes of come into Lena’s cunt, Kara held her down by the hips to make sure it stayed deep inside. She restrained the omega for all of a few seconds before she realized Lena was wetter than before and still able to slide up and down on her cock.
Lena’s thighs were bright red, and the imprints of Kara’s hands marked her ass, but the omega continued to straddle her and take what she needed.
“I've missed your knot stretching me. It feels so good,” Lena exhaled, her voice scratchy as she raised herself up higher and then sank down on Kara’s entire length. “So damn good.”
Kara’s alpha was in command and she smoothed her hand over one of Lena’s ass cheeks. She gave the omega a soft, open-palmed smack before controlling her quickening motions.
“Don’t let the knot take hold,” Kara directed and her breaths became frozen puffs of air, the consequence of her powers in chaos from showing so many years of restraint. Her words came out much warmer than those frigid exhalations, with a lust she had hidden along with all of her other superhuman traits. “You’re going to let me fuck you, Lena, just like this. Ride my cock and force my knot in as deep as you can get it.”
It always felt incredible when Lena’s pussy spread for her knot, but the only more satisfying experience was when Lena’s heat put her in such a desperate state that she could handle a deep pounding even with Kara’s knot in full form.
Lena moaned from being told what to do, and her nipples were hard and in Kara’s face, so Kara brought her mouth to one of them and sucked until she began to help the omega stuff her cunt by bouncing her.
“I love it when you’re in this mood and saying dirty things to me,” Lena admitted and clenched her pussy muscles around Kara’s shaft on purpose.
Kara’s fingers bit into Lena’s ass cheeks and she held her steady just for the privilege of bucking her hips up to drill into her harder and faster than Lena was capable of doing herself. The suppressants in her system were being flushed out as her powers fluctuated and sparked within her veins, and Kara growled as the alpha inside her surged to the surface like an animal uncaged. She felt it dig into her ribs and burst through to fill her body and soul, and unleashed a wave of unmatched alpha pheromones to assert herself and remember who she was inside.
“Kara,” Lena gasped, her limbs going heavy and eyelids sliding shut as she inhaled the potent scent of her mate with a groan. Her cunt went into sudden intense spasm around Kara’s cock and a deluge of slick poured from her as Kara hurried to fill it again with rougher thrusts that plunged her knot in and out of Lena’s rippling muscles.
The flux of her body temperature happened suddenly, and Kara had just enough time to direct her eyes at the ceiling before they lasered a hole in another surface. A little debris rained down on them and Kara rolled Lena over onto her back, both to protect the omega and to drive into her at a punishing speed.
Lena moaned and thrashed underneath her, both eager for it and unprepared for how Kara could be when she was determined.
Kara lunged over her while gripping at her legs, holding them open while she thrust into her and listened to her ragged breaths. The tight, exquisite embrace of her pussy was everything Kara desired and her libido refused to be denied.
“I know you want my knot, Lena, but you can’t have it yet,” Kara huffed and glanced down at Lena’s red ass and thighs, so sensitive and glowing from their rough sex. Her cock pushed at Lena’s internal limits, hitting into her cervix while her knot stretched her labia and left her delicate hole exposed and open. “I’m going to do everything I want to you, everything I’ve wanted to do for months.”
She was unapologetic about her power, about the super strength she used when pushing into Lena.
The omega was whimpering underneath her and nodding, giving up all authority to Kara with her legs wide and trembling.
Kara grasped her breasts and pushed them together, then pulled the Lena’s nipples into her mouth with hunger she hadn’t displayed in years. She swirled her tongue around the stiff peaks and flicked them with the tip of her tongue, releasing the pebbled flesh just to wrap her lips around them individually as she slammed herself deeper into Lena’s gaping cunt.
Lena whined and writhed beneath her, and Kara pinned her with little more than her hips and a dominant growl that vibrated at the back of her throat.
“This is what you’ve wanted, isn’t it Lena?” Kara asked, her eyes bright and voice sultry as she shoved her hand between their sweated skin to feel Lena’s slick pussy. She located her clit and rubbed firmly with her fingers on either side of it. “For me to be the alpha you’ve needed?”
“Fuck, please,” Lena cried out, her back arching sharply as Kara commanded her pleasure.
“I can’t hear you, Lena. You’ll have to be louder.” Kara asserted, her face scant inches from the omega’s as she sped up her fingers. “Are you asking to come?”
Lena whined, her face flushed and head tipped back to expose her throat to Kara’s teeth in submission as she quaked and jerked, so close to coming undone. “Yes, yes.”
“Then beg for it.” Kara thundered, her lips latching onto Lena’s throat just to press her teeth into the perfect scars that lined up with her bite. It was a rush to hear Lena plead for her again, to want her so badly that she tried to claw at her back to keep her close.
Lena’s heat was getting stronger. The scent of her changed, as if smelling Kara’s alpha pheromones rekindled something lost within Lena. She whimpered and tried to form words, but Kara was fucking her so good that her little omega couldn’t do anything other than moan as another release snatched the air from her lungs.
Kara pressed hot, wet kisses all over Lena’s neck, tasting and nipping her skin as she huffed at the omega’s natural perfume.
The powerful internal massage of Lena’s pussy coaxed another load of come out of Kara’s cock, but it hardly satisfied her and she pulled out before she finished and watched as she covered Lena’s cunt and abdomen in warm jets of seed.
“Rao, what a beautiful sight,” Kara husked in adoration and held Lena’s pussy lips apart to see the rivulets of her seed spill out of her blushing, scarlet hole that pitifully clenched as if to beg Kara to fill it again. “How could I have gone so long without rutting inside you like this?”
The answer to the question hit her in the gut and she reared up to flip Lena onto her hands and knees so fast that the sheets billowed out from the gust of wind it caused.
“That’s what the divorce was really about, wasn’t it?” Kara noted, her hands smacking both of Lena’s ass cheeks to massage roughly. “All of it was just to break me out of this self-inflicted prison.”
At the time it had seemed like the best solution. Lena was so busy with globally expanding L-Corp that Kara had put all of her focus on trying to be a great parent and partner. She had thrown in her cape the second Lena was pregnant because the danger of someone finding out Supergirl had a child was too great, and she owed it to Elle to have a normal childhood, but that had been a mistake.
Kara understood it now that she was clear headed and more alive than she had been in years. She never should have tried to push her Kryptonian nature aside to be more human, and she never should have locked away her alpha.
“You wanted to wake me up from this walking, mediocre nightmare that the suppressors caused,” Kara concluded, and rubbed the swollen, broad head of her erection between Lena’s tender, scorching pussy lips to soothe her with the seed that drizzled out of her used hole.
“Well, I’m not going to take them anymore,” Kara affirmed with a sudden, rough thrust that pushed her obscenely large knot into Lena’s sopping cunt. She threaded her fingers in Lena’s dark hair and pulled the omega’s head back to growl into her ear, “And you’re not divorcing me.”
Kara rammed her cock into Lena with another hard thrust, and the omega moaned, “I don’t—I don’t want a divorce. I just want you to fuck me like you used to fuck me.” Lena confessed, her breath hitching when Kara began an almost brutal pace to make up for all the moments lost between them.
Lena had always loved Kara’s super speed and stamina, and she had made a point of telling Kara how much she enjoyed having a sore pussy for a day or two after sex. On those nights, Kara used to treat her to long hours of slow, tender fucking that blew tantric sex out of existence.
“That’s not all you want,” Kara corrected, her strong hands mapping Lena’s curves. She left brands in the shape of her fingertips and short nails as she grabbed Lena possessively and exhaled in a rush, “You want me to look at you like you’re my whole world, to need you the way I used to and remind you that you’re my mate.”
“It’s true,” Lena whined in agreement, her voice shaky from the rapid and unapologetic way Kara was taking her from behind. “I’ve been lost without you, I need my super alpha.”
Kara rewarded her honesty by slipping a firm hand around Lena’s throat to hold her head up while she pounded her drenched cunt as deep as she could physically go.
“I’ll never leave you like that again,” Kara promised against Lena’s ear and tightened her grip so her fingers curled around the omega’s neck.
The sight of Lena’s delicate pussy forced into such an extreme stretch by her knot pushing in and out was glorious. The more Kara felt like herself, the bigger her knot seemed to swell, and Kara was going to fuck Lena with it until there was no doubt in her wife’s mind that she was back for good.
Lena’s ragged breathing became even harsher as Kara slammed into her with pelvis-bruising force, and she moaned from it, even as she submitted by pressing her cheek into the duvet to better present her cunt.
Kara’s thighs smacked against Lena’s skin so fast they were basically a blur, and the omega’s snug heat tightened around her cock as it went into euphoric spasm. The noise Lena made was positively primal and sent a jolt of white hot arousal through Kara as she watched Lena’s hole milk her cock.
“You’re so wet that I bet the sheets will never recover.” Kara groaned, her hips jerking as Lena’s velvety walls squeezed thick seed out of her length in hot spurts.
“Fuck the sheets,” Lena panted, her body trembling from the rush of pleasure that blazed through her veins. “I can buy a million new ones.”
Kara laughed as she pulled out of Lena’s cunt to admire the way it overflowed with seed. She brought her hand up to chill it with her frost breath and then cupped Lena’s pussy in her cold palm just to feel the radiating warmth. She
smirked when Lena mewled and rubbed her dripping slit over it, simultaneously soothing herself and trying to create friction because her body was still craving more due to her heat.
“I have a confession to make: I induced my own heat.” Lena’s voice was quiet and breathless, and she still sought more contact with Kara’s hand.
“What would you have done if I hadn’t shown up?” Kara asked, her eyes locating the toys scattered around the room with interest.
“Called you,” Lena admitted shamelessly, backing up to rock her hips more forcefully over Kara’s hand. She whimpered in dissatisfaction when Kara didn’t assist her by rubbing into her folds, and then opened her mouth to complain, but Kara cut her off with a sultry, “That’s not what I meant.”
She zoomed around the room at super speed to grab the largest dildo and washed it before returning to the bed so fast that Lena didn’t realize she had left, and positioned Lena on her back so quickly the omega looked disoriented.
Kara bounced the fake cock in her hand just to feel the weight of it and held it beside herself to show Lena the comparison before she handed the silicone over with a command. “Show me what you’d do, Lena. Let me see how you’ve been handling your needs without me.”
It was lewd to insist that Lena fuck herself, but Kara wanted to witness it, and she could smell that the omega was aroused to be on display for her. She helped her wife by holding her legs apart, and enjoyed the pretty blush that tinged Lena’s cheeks as she eagerly plunged the toy into her cunt.
Lena worked the phallus hard and deep, and the sloppy, slick noise was almost as wonderful as the scent of the omega’s frustration. The motion of the silicone cock forced Kara’s excitement out of her entrance.
The rougher Lena tried to be to, the less it seemed to do, and she whined so beautifully that Kara’s cock throbbed in response.
“Well that won’t work, will it?” Kara didn’t wait for a response as she grabbed the toy and flung it behind her, the sound of wood splitting letting her know she had just destroyed a door.
Lena responded to her strength the same way she always had, with copious amounts of slick. It poured from her puffy, reddened cunt and she held herself open to make sure Kara saw it as she begged deliriously, “Please Kara, please I need you, I need your cock. Fuck me.”
Kara groaned at the way Lena presented her cunt to be used and slammed herself back inside her liquid heat with enough force to break the headboard. Someone in the next apartment shouted at the noise but Kara tuned them out as she kissed and bit along the slope of Lena’s pale throat with a possessive growl. She pumped her hips with a touch of super speed and filled Lena’s cunt with rough, full strokes, while she focused on every breathy moan and whimper that her wife made.
“Oh god, oh fuck, Kara,” Lena whined and rocked her hips up to meet every inch of Kara’s cock, although it seemed like their coordinated motions were too much because she relaxed into the bed. It lasted all of a few seconds before she tensed again, coming on Kara’s length with forceful flutters of heightened desperation.
Kara never gave her a reprieve. She pulled three more orgasms out of her, until Lena was sweat-covered and out of breath, half collapsed against the bed. Lena fell forward with whimpers on her lips as Kara lunged harder, until the omega gasped out, “Red, baby.”
It registered to Kara right away and she slowed down and held herself deep so that her knot could finally take, all while rubbing Lena’s back because it was rare that she ever tapped out.
Lena sighed with contentment and Kara settled them on their sides and wrapped her arm around Lena’s waist protectively.
“I want this with you forever,” Lena whispered, her voice still hoarse as she shifted to nestle into Kara’s side and tilted her face up to kiss Kara.
Kara nodded and shut her eyes during the kiss, then opened them to peek at how beautiful Lena was in the afterglow of sex, and in the wreckage of her newly renovated bedroom.
“I’ll email our mediator tomorrow to let him know we’ve re-negotiated and we don’t plan to split,” Kara remarked and squinted up at the ceiling where the plaster was damaged. “You can call the contractor, but maybe we should wait a few more days until after we’ve done this a dozen more times. I’m still a little rusty with my powers and he might wonder what’s going on in this building if he has to come out more than once to make repairs.”
Lena grinned up at her and then pulled her in for another kiss, draping her arms around Kara’s shoulders. “Oh, I think we should do a thorough demolition of the place before then,” She announced with a glance around at the décor and arch of her eyebrow.
Kara agreed to that, and thought about how they had come as a couple, and how much had changed within the span of a few hours. Hope filled her chest as she worked out all of the things she wanted to do. Reminding Lena how very much she was loved and wanted was at the top of her list, followed by donating her entire wardrobe, reconsidering her career and taking out her cape again.
She still had a lot to learn about being a good wife and parent, but she was already feeling happier than she had been in a long time. Kara latched onto that feeling and refused to let it go.
